Chapter 6 Be Humiliated

After the midterm exams, the school had two days off. This gave Lily enough free time to plan what she should do next.

Claire was injured, so Lucia's attention was mostly on her. She didn't spend a lot of time noticing Lily, so everything had been going on fine in the past two days.

Lily used this time to secretly visit Colin, and was relieved to know that her mother was in a secret place he had arranged for her. At least, her mother would be safe now. Lucia would not be able to find her, not in such a short time.

This way, Lily had fewer things to worry about. She could spend more of her energy dealing with Claire, Eden, and their mother.

When classes resumed, Lily went to school with Claire and Eden. The first day of class after the two-day vacation was the same date when the exam results would be announced.

As soon as they entered the gate, they heard the noise of discussion. They saw a large group of people that gathered to check their grades in the results column.

"Lily is here," someone from the crowd said. Everyone turned to see the three, but most of the eyes were really just locked on Lily. Their expressions were mixed.

There were people showing mockery, disdain, contempt, and some who looked like they were just expecting a good show.

Lily regarded their looks but had no idea what happened. She was still confused when she heard a familiar voice from the crowd.

"Congratulations, Lily." Becky Song squeezed through the crowd and walked towards Lily. She held her hand and said, "You did a great job this time. You made it to the top five of the whole grade!"

"Becky..." Lily tightened her grip and answered sadly. Her voice sounded a little restrained; she didn't know what to say next.

She had argued with Becky Song in her previous life only because she said that Frank's purpose of nearing her was not simple. It got a bit physical, and a push led to an accident that cost Becky Song her leg. They never got in contact since.

"What's the matter with you?" Becky Song looked at Lily with amusement. "Aren't you excited to get such good results?" she joked.

"Hmm... too fake." Someone in the crowd immediately made a disapproving grunt.

"I wonder who she copied from," another said.

"If I were her, I wouldn't dare copy so much to get such high grades. The cheating's too obvious!"

"But, of course, she does this for attention. Her mother is nothing but a mistress, after all."

"Hey, that's enough!" Becky Song shouted angrily at the people who gave cruel remarks. "If you can't get such high grades, then don't talk nonsense! If you can study well enough, you can also get good results."

"Hmm?" The dissenters gave each other supercilious looks.

"You two..."

"Forget it, Becky." Lily tugged at Becky's arm and said, "Let them say whatever they want; you can't stop them. Let's just go to the classroom first. I have a lot to tell you."

"Lily..." Seeing that she was leaving, Claire hurried after Lily. "I didn't expect you to get such good grades during midterms. I haven't really seen you study. Care to share your learning methods?" she said this with a look of admiration apparent on her face.

Lily knew that behind the positive expression, Claire was secretly mocking her. She almost forgot that Claire and Eden were also with her because of the sudden encounter with Becky Song.

"Just study hard," she replied indifferently. At the same time, she saw Eden frowning and wondered why he seemed a little unhappy.

But how could he be happy? Although he hadn't done anything to hurt her directly, the exam results were everything to him.

In fact, the very reason why Lucia asked him to be her classmate was that she wanted Eden to surpass her in terms of grades.

Lily also remembered that in her previous life, Lucia loved to show off her son's achievements in front of Dillon. "Dear brother, don't you find it strange? Only half a semester has passed, and her grades have improved too fast." Claire looked at her brother, sensing if he would go along.

Eden's brows furrowed. He was already upset that Lily surpassed him, but being surrounded by so many students only made it worse. Ignoring his sister, he turned around and started walking towards the teaching building.

Claire bit her lip. Admittedly, she never expected that Lily would surpass her brother. But it happened, and she could not do anything about it now. She could see that Eden was very upset about it.

Lily didn't want to waste any more time with Claire, or whoever she was gossiping with. She proceeded to go to the classroom with Becky Song.

In any case, she already felt lucky with the fact that Claire was one grade lower than her. Otherwise, she would definitely be more upset.

When she entered the classroom, she heard the usual gossip people said about her; that she was the daughter of a home-wrecker; that she cheated in the exams. She was already used to it. Becky Song wanted to speak up for her, but Lily stopped her.

Now, everyone in the class knew that Lily and Eden were half-siblings. Both students and teachers would watch them when sending out examination papers.

They had this idea that the two were in some unspoken competition. One was the son of the wife, after all, and the other was a daughter of the mistress. Of course, they thought Lily cheated because she wanted to surpass Eden.

Classes were difficult, as Lily suffered mockery and sarcasm all throughout the day. Even the head teacher could not believe that she could get such good grades, and asked her to stay after school.

Lily had a bad feeling as she scanned the empty classroom. She thought it was unfair that she had no idea why the teacher made her stay.

"Lily." The head teacher, Victor Liu, appeared at the door of the classroom, interrupting her thoughts.

"Mr. Victor," Lily stood up and greeted politely.

"Yes." The teacher nodded and said, "Come with me." He turned around and left, expecting Lily to follow.

Lily frowned as she stood up. She didn't like this fat man; she had heard a lot of bad rumors about him in her previous life. But it seemed like he was respected at the school, and he was in a position of power.

Not knowing where she would be brought to, she felt a little uneasy. Thinking of those rumors made her predicament worse.

She was still anxious when Victor Liu stopped in front of a classroom. He gestured at her and said, "Come inside. I have something to tell you."

"Alright." She nodded after some thinking. She looked around the classroom as she entered.

"Not bad this time. You copied others' answers, right?" After closing the door, Victor Liu looked at Lily with a puzzling expression.

"Mr. Victor, I didn't cheat." Lily didn't expect him to be so direct.

"You didn't copy your answers?" Victor Liu squinted and took a step forward. "I have been your head teacher for three years, first to third grade of junior high. I know your performance."

"I really didn't cheat..." Lily stepped back as uneasiness crept in.

"I have never seen any bad student becoming a master overnight. I don't believe it. You cheated!" Victor Liu took another step forward as he accused her, pulling at his tie with his greasy hands.

Lily felt nervous. She was not that stupid; she could see what he was trying to do. She glanced around the empty classroom and felt helpless. Still, she tried to keep her calm.

"Sir, I can only say it again. I really didn't cheat. I never copied my answers from anyone..." Lily took another uneasy step back. Her leg kicked the foot of a desk and she staggered. She almost fell, but luckily she managed to reach the edge of the desk to balance herself in time.

"It doesn't matter what you tell me. Whether you cheated or you didn't, I don't really care. Now, if you can do one thing for me, I will set these rumors to rest. I'll use my position to clear your name. I'll let the whole school know that you earned these grades fair and square." Victor Liu lured her.

"What... what's it?"

Victor leaned in closer to her and said, "Come on, what else could a woman and a man do in an empty room? You know what I mean."

"Sir, I am still very young..." Lily panicked. She was scared, and breathing was getting difficult. The doors of the classroom were closed. How could she escape? Even the windows were closed!

"So what? I have slept with girls even younger than you are." Victor Liu disregarded her protests and continued forcing her. "As long as you obey me, I will deal with everything for you. Didn't everyone call you a mistress's daughter? I can help you and no one will talk about you like that."

As Lily heard the word "mistress" from the teacher's mouth, her fear disappeared. She shouted, "Mr. Victor! As a teacher, you should be getting to the bottom of this issue. Learn the truth instead of giving me baseless accusations! You seem to be sure that I am a mistress's daughter. Show me your evidence, then!"

"Oh, really? So you choose to fight this? I will make you beg for mercy!" After saying that, he threw himself into Lily's body and started to tear into her clothes with his hands.

"Ah! Let me go! Let me go!" Lily tried her best to fight back. She punched and kicked, but her resistance felt like nothing against Victor Liu's weight.

With a violent push, Lily was pressed onto the desk. Her clothes were torn, and her chest was almost bare.

"Honey, you have such smooth skin..." With lust in his words, Victor Liu reached out and touched her naked shoulder.

She felt so disgusted, and she could almost faint. She wished she could just kick him out of the door. She had never expected that she would be ruined by this man in her new life!

"Don't touch me. Get out of my way!"

"Don't struggle. You will ask me for more later." He then bent over and kissed Lily on the cheek.

"No! Please don't!" Lily screamed, eyes closed.

"Well..."

Then all of a sudden, she felt the weight on her body disappear.

She heard a strange, familiar voice. With a deep drowsiness, the voice said, "You're so noisy. Can you please not disturb my sleep?"

Lily opened her eyes. She got up to pull up her torn clothes, and walked away to secure her safety first. She was already in a far corner of the room before she dared check out what was going on.

She then saw that Victor Liu was already on the ground, covering his head with hands, wailing like a child. The man who had just saved her looked like he was very sleepy, as if he didn't care that he just hit a person.

But wait, how could this person look so familiar? Lily's eyes widened. It was Eric Gu!
