Chapter 6 Who Is She (Part Two)

This wasn't the first time Jasper had stripped her clothes, but that was behind closed doors. Many men were staring at her now. She hoped for the earth to open and swallow her.

Ashley had never felt so humiliated in the past-not even when her husband divorced her when she was in the hospital bed or when her half-sister stole the man whom she believed was the love of her life. Ashley had always been strong. She had fought against her husband and the sinister plans of her half-sister. However, Jasper had torn her spirits.

She was almost naked; her underwear was the only thing shielding her body. Ashley felt disgusted. How did she become a paparazzo from a virtuous woman from the Fang family?

All eyes were settled on Ashley's luminous skin.

Jasper's heart skipped a beat; he could see the pain in her vacant eyes. Her flawless body looked breathtaking under the dim lights. She was perhaps the most beautiful thing Jasper had ever seen. He felt that Ashley would look incredible on screen.

The bodyguards saw the change in Ashley's expression. She was timid and frightened a while ago but looked like an angry tigress now. How could someone change in a short time? "Mr. Jasper, do you want us to remove the rest of her clothes as well?" one of the bodyguards asked.

Jasper didn't have an answer to the question. He couldn't understand what he wanted. "You guys can leave now,'' he muttered, his eyes fixed on Ashley the entire time.

"All right, Mr. Jasper." The men departed in an instant. The door was shut; Jasper and Ashley were the only ones in the room.

Jasper walked up to her side and kneeled beside her. Ashley's cold eyes were staring at him, but the closeness seemed to reveal the depth of her soul. He could see something beyond hatred and humiliation in her doleful eyes.

Jasper stretched his hand and removed the clothes she was holding to cover her body. Ashley's face remained expressionless. Her hatred for the heartless man in front of her intensified.

Jasper trailed his fingers across Ashley's skin. A warmth lingered on her flesh, where his fingers traveled.

"Why did you stop pretending?" he asked.

She said nothing.

"This is who you truly are, right?" he asked again.

Ashley pursed her lips and glowered at Jasper. Tears cascaded down her cheeks, but she didn't bother wiping them away. She didn't want to reveal her vulnerability.

"I know that you feel insulted and humiliated. Your eyes reveal your hatred for me; you probably want to kill me right away. But it was you who chose this career. Shouldn't you be prepared for all this? Curiosity kills the cat, don't you know that?"

Jasper leaned forward, his fingers brushing against the strap of her bra. "You can't escape today. Are you doing to undress or do you want me to do it for you?"

Ashley's face contorted with rage before her expression became flat. Jasper knew that Ashley had surrendered herself to the fate.

He placed his hands on Ashley's back. His heart was racing in his chest as if he was seeing a woman naked for the first time. He marveled at the beauty of her milky skin before shifting his gaze to look at Ashley's face. Jasper's stomach flipped; he couldn't comprehend the emotions that settled in his heart. The window of the room was half open; the faint buzzing of cicadas filled the air. Jasper couldn't understand himself. He didn't know if he was doing this to take pictures of her or to see her body.

Ashley closed her eyes as Jasper unbuttoned her bra. The pool of tears in her eyes trickled down.

Jasper swallowed the lust; he could feel the blood rush through his veins. He finally slipped the bra, revealing her breasts.

Ashley gritted her teeth and endured the torture. It was impossible to escape; therefore, she accepted her fate with a heavy heart.

Memories of her wedding night flooded her mind. History was repeating itself; a stranger had ravaged her body.

Ashley clenched her fists and waited for the torment to end. Fortunately, Jasper kept his promise. He took pictures of her and ordered a maid to give new clothes to her. Once Ashley got changed, one of the bodyguards ushered her out of the villa.

She didn't see Jasper again. Ashley couldn't face him anyway.

Jasper was standing beside the window. He watched Ashley hop into the car before it trundled out of the villa. He glanced at the pile of photos in his hand. The woman was lying on the dark carpet; her long hair was the only thing covering her naked body. She looked pained and vulnerable.

The car traversed across the vast expanse of the villa before finally arriving at the gate. Ashley looked out of the window and saw the morning sky light up. The sun peeked out of the clouds, casting a warm, orange tint on the land. The bustling roads were still empty except for the silent buildings on either side.

The distressing night finally ended.

''Mr. Jasper asked me to inform you that he has left a folder on the back seat. He wants you to take a look at what's inside."

Ashley turned back and saw a paper folder lying on the seat. She picked it up, wondering what it was. The bag was secured by a rope. Ashley untied the knot and drew out a stack of photos from it.

There were eleven photos in total. Each of them was the same man kissing and hugging a woman. Ashley recognized the man in an instant. She had spent her pregnancy watching his TV series.

He was the superstar, Dylan Yan.
