Chapter 5 I'll Marry You

"Wasn't your mother well before I left today? How could this happen all of a sudden?"

Outside the operating room, Moore looked at his son, his face filled with worry.

Ron leaned against the wall dejectedly, stars blinking off the smoke held between his fingers.

Down the corridor, Celia clutched the corner of the wall tightly with her hands. At the sight that greeted her, she really wanted to go up and snuff out the cigarette in his hand.

He never smoked!

But now, she couldn't even take one step forward, let alone comfort them.

Earlier, she wanted to rush to him in spite of everything. She didn't come to her senses until she saw what she looked like in the elevator, and the hickeys could not be hidden on the bare skin of her neck.

Seeing her approach, Carlos stubbed out his cigarette, but he still smelled of smoke.

"Willing to come back now?"

The man slightly lowered his head, and his magnetic voice filled the night.

"Mr. Gu, please save the Mo Consortium."

The man standing in front of her exuded an intimidating aura, and she was terrified when facing him.

However, when she thought of the man who waited outside the operating room, who had been taking care of her all this time, she thought of how kindly the Mo Family had treated her, especially the mother, who hadn't been free of danger. Celia knew she had no other choice.

Celia tried to break free from Carlos's iron embrace, but she failed.

His handsome face hovered over hers.

The room was filled with his warm breath, which burned against Celia's fevered forehead.

But when she thought of the way she had been treated before, she felt both ashamed and resentful, and a sense of humiliation suddenly drowned her heart.

"Promised you? Mr. Gu, you know best whether you forced me or I willingly did so! You saved me, but that doesn't mean you can insult me so lasciviously! What's the difference between your behavior and that of the hooligans who tried to rape me? I, I could sue you for attempted rape!"

Celia's head felt dizzy. Before she could raise her head, the man leaned over her.

Her voice was quivering, and she felt that something dangerous was about to happen to her.

Celia clearly realized what was about to happen to her as the man's strong presence washed over her.

She tried to crawl back, but the space in the car was limited. Soon, her back pressed against the door on the other side of the car.

As the man shifted closer, Celia stretched out her hand and tried to open the door. However, the door was locked from the inside. She was too anxious, and her fingers fumbled with opening the door.

He caught one of her feet.

"Oh, my God! No, let me go!"

She tried to kick him, but he caught her other leg.

With minimal strength, the man pulled her slender body under him.

"Stop, Carlos Gu!" she screamed, enraged at his behavior.

But obviously, no matter how she struggled or resisted, nothing would work on this man.

The more she resisted, the more excited he became.

"You don't want to save the Mo Consortium anymore? You should know that I am the only one with the power to save the Mo consortium in the Jin City!" His deep voice spoke up again. At the same time, he grasped her slender and smooth shanks. His hot palm trailed up along the inside of her thighs.

Celia's eyes turned red as she felt the cold sting from Carlos's words. She couldn't resist the impulse to curse him.

"Carlos, you bastard! You can't do this to me! You bastard! If you don't let me go, I'll do my best to expose what you have done here to the public. I'll let everyone in Jin City know that you're..."

The words "an animal" remained unspoken because he suddenly stopped.

Because she could clearly hear the growling sound deep in his throat, she was scared by the evil smile draped at the corner of his mouth.

She could image the consequences of insulting him.

So, she held her breath and didn't dare to utter another word.
