I was glad the match ended so well. The Essex hockey team won against Everton hockey players.

I showered, changed into my hockey sweats when I found Whitney crying in the hallway.

I couldn't help it as I offered comfort to her. I rolled my eyes as she refused. I couldn't blame her. I was quite popular. Being a star player wasn't an easy achievement. I earned it.

I was finding her interesting since no girl has ever said no to Jason's effect.

Girls flocked themselves at me on a regular basis.

I fixed my gaze on her and her dazzling eyes were staring at me. She was ravishingly beautiful. Her lips curved in a shape of love.

I couldn't help as a shiver ran down my spine, my heart beating fast.

"Let me help you", I asked again and was stunned when she accepted.

But I had to insist until she agreed. I couldn't help giving her a shoulder to cry on and dropping her off at her place.

She appreciated it and left me feeling low. I found my way back to the school lounge.

I met with one of my close friends. "What took you so long the game ended like a few hours ago?"He asked me.

He hit me on the shoulder playfully "Don't tell me you were keeping yourself busy with the girls",

I looked at him and I totally understood where he was driving. I nodded my head in disapproval.

"No, I wasn't, I had to drop a girl off", I voiced out.

Moses widened his eyes in shock. "That's new, you aren't a gentleman",

"What's up?", he asked interested in the details.

"I can be if I want to", I replied to him, finding my way to my room.

He wasn't satisfied with my answer as he followed me in.

"I need the full gist, what's her name?", he asked.

"Gosh..., Moses can you please leave me alone", I voiced out obviously getting annoyed at his unending questions he was throwing at me.

"Fine, if you choose not to spill, but ensure you bring her to me to screw her once you are done", he informed me and walked out the door.

"Not gonna happen guy", I said and walked away.

I laid down in the bed, my mind still thinking of her.

I was interested in getting to know her and I couldn't help myself.

I picked up my phone, I have gotten six missed calls from my mom. That wasn't unusual. I picked up my phone and called her.

I needed to speak with her ASAP or she might start to get worried and think something has happened to me.

"Hello son", my mom picked after the first ring.

"Hello mom", I answered.

"How are you and school?", she asked

"School is fine, and hockey is going pretty well", I informed her.

"That's great, how is your academic son, you know that's the reason you are there", she voiced out.

"Ofcourse, what about dad, I called him but he hasn't been answering my calls",

"I need you to focus on your studies, your dad is busy lately", she replied her voice shaking.

I wanted to believe what she said. But something within me was telling me that everything wasn't right.

I knew how secretive my mom can be when it comes to issues like this.

"Mom, you know you can always talk to me if you need someone to talk with", I voiced out.

"Don't worry son, it's nothing I can't handle", she informed me.

"Mom ... .mom..I know its eating you up what has dad been up to lately", I asked insisting she tells me what's going on.

I could hear sobs from the other end of the phone.

"Your dad and I are filing for a divorce", she informed me.

My whole body trembling with shock. "I really think you both have found a way around this", I added.

"We tried but it isn't working", she said.

I felt for my mom. I don't know the reason they decided to spilt up but she had always insisted my dad was a good man.

And for the time I stayed with him. I wouldn't say he was perfect but he was trying.

I quickly packed a few things and found my way home. I needed to be there for my mom.

This divorce was going to be a really difficult thing for her to take.
