About

I slowly got out of the car after it stopped at the place I was going to. I am here now at a cafe where I will wait for my fiance. "Mr. Heynam, I'll just wait here outside." My driver promised. I just nodded to what he said and immediately entered the cafe. The place was filled with the coffee's aroma. It felt so nice. . . . I groaned. I looked at my watch several times but the person I was waiting for was still not here. 'It's been thirty minutes already!' I sighed. "Mr. Heynam?" I was surprised when someone suddenly called my last name. I immediately looked at him. "Ah-- It's me." I said and stood up. I reached out my hand to shake hands but he didn't accept it and just sat on the other side of the table. I smiled in awkwardness. "What did you want to discuss?" He said seriously after sitting down. "This is about our marriage. I wanted to clarify things with you first." I told him first and faced him. "I don't want to marry you when you have that boyfriend." I promise. He glared at me before uttering a word. "Do I look like a man who has time to find a lover? Do you even think that I am interested in getting married?" He asked me annoyed. I was silent. "If you also think that I have time for this, then you're wrong. If that's all you tell me, I'll leave." He said before standing up. "Mr. Alfonso." I just called. "Before you go, I want you to know that what I dislike the most in men are those who are grumpy and careless." I promised him. "If I will marry you, then I suggest you start changing your attitude towards others." I added. He just looked at me. "Are you kidding?" He said and I frowned. "What?" I'm confused by this question. "What right do you have to say that to me?" He asked me and before I could answer he approached me. His eyes were fierce. "Mr. Heynam, know your place." I was silent and my eyes widened. I clenched my fists and bit my lower lip. I just looked at Matthew Jayden Alfonso, my soon to be husband. He stared at me annoyed, "Go home." He told me, but I was silent. He sighed. "Go home and don't be stupid. I hate dealing with foolish people." He said before turning his back on me and leaving the cafe. I was blank for a moment. I'm Nah Lien Heynam. I am the fiance of the man from earlier Matthew Jayden Alfonso. We will get married soon because our families want to share our wealth. I'm also the only child of the Heynam family, so my parents have no choice but to marry me off. I hate it... but there's nothing I can do. My parents wanted more power, and as their son I couldn't do anything.

Chapter 1 Got married

Chapter 1

It's been a few days since Matthew and I got married. I think it's been five days?

Yeah, probably five days have passed since our wedding was celebrated.

.

I was staring at Matthew. He was reading a book while taking a sip of his coffee.

"What?" He coldly said.

"Uhm... don't you think we should get to know more about each other? We're married, but we're not even close..."

"Yes, we are married. But we didn't get married because we love each other. I don't see why you want to know more about me." He said annoyed.

I just scratched my head when I heard what he said. I sighed.

"As your husband, of course we need to know more about each other. I can't just be on the same house with a stranger."

I promised him.

Instead of saying anything, Matthew just glared at me. As if I said something wrong to him. I groaned.

"Uhm, N-Nevermind." I stammered.

"So... what are we going to do?" I asked him. He took a sip of his coffee and continued reading the book that he held. He didn't answer my question.

'What the heck!? I'm trying to befriend him!' I said to myself. I sighed one last time before I got up.

"If you're not in the mood to talk, then I'll just leave you alone." I promised him.

He didn't say a single word and just read the book that he was holding. 'Ugh. It's annoying.'

"Hey, wake up." Matthew woke me up so I was surprised.

I gently rubbed my eyes and turned to look at Matthew who was standing right beside our bed. I yawned.

"Did something happen?" I just asked.

"It's dinner time."

"What? Already...?" I told him and immediately sat down. I fixed my hair.

"Right... I'll cook us dinner." I told him and smiled. He just sighed at me.

"I didn't wake you up to cook us dinner. There is food on the table so you stand there." He said to me annoyed.

"Oh, okay. I'll just follow." I nodded to what he said and stood up.

I sat in the chair and Matthew and I began to pray. After praying, we ate our food silently.

"Nash." Matthew called me so I immediately turned to him.

"Yes? Is there a problem?"

"I want you to sleep on the guest room." He told me and I was surprised.

I smiled awkwardly, "Why? We were sleeping together yesterday just fine."

"I'm bringing over a girl. It's been months since I had s*x with someone."

When Matthew told me that, my eyes widened. 'What?' I asked myself.

"What are you saying, Matthew? I'm your husband. How can you say that--" I couldn't finish what I was going to say when Matthew stared at me evilly.

"I'm sure I've clearly told you that we are married, but we're not in love." He promised.

"But, Matthew! I'm still your husband! If s*x is what you need then I'll be willing to help you anytime!!"

"F*ck, Nash. Are you really telling me that you're ready to open your legs wide and take me in, hm!?" He promised me. My eyes widened.

"I don't even think you have experience in these kinds of things." He added.

"Matthew---" I was about to stand up to approach him but he preceded me and left the dining table.

"Matthew! Wait, please!" I quickly followed him to the living room.

"Don't you understand?" He glared.

I clenched my fists and bit my lower lip.

"Matthew, are you just having s*x with some random woman!? I can't allow that as your husband! I'll never allow that!" I shouted at him.

"Who are you to f*cking think that I'd listen to you? Who are you to say that?"

Matthew shouted back.

Matthew stared at me annoyed. He also approached me slowly while I became a statue.

"Don't make the situation worst and just follow what I say to you. Like an obedient dog, hm?" He promised.

He patted my shoulders and gave me a forced smile. I just couldn't say a word.

His face, his body, everything including his voice was so perfect, but not his personality. He's cold as ice. And I doubt that he would even care for me in the future. 'Agh! This is messed up'

I just stared at Matthew who was heading upstairs. I sighed in disappointment, then headed back to the dining table to clean up the plates.

After washing the dirty plates, I wanted to leave the house and relax my mind. I also don't want to see the woman who will be my husband's sex partner.

Before leaving the house, I went to Matthew's room to get a jacket.

I saw him lying on the bed with no t-shirt on. I sighed before leaving, "I'm going out for some fresh air. Enjoy your night."

When I got out of Matthew's room, I immediately put on my jacket. I just hope it won't be too cold outside.

---

I checked the time and noticed that an hour had already passed since I left.

It's already eight in the evening. But instead of wanting to go back, I wanted to stay outside and stroll some more.

I'm at the baywalk right now. I'm enjoying the starry night while listening through the sounds of the waves. I felt so relaxed and free from worries. It's so calm here.

I also stared at the sea for a few minutes before I thought that I needed to go back to my house with Matthew.

"I'll come back here next time." I promise.

As I stood outside the gate of our mansion, I couldn't help but shiver. It's cold outside.

I rushed inside the gate to get inside our house. "Damn... so cold."

One of the guards opened the door and I immediately entered. "Haa... it's cold outside."

I was about to go upstairs to sleep in the guest room, but I noticed Matthew watching.

"Where were you?" Matthew asked and I immediately stopped.

"Oh, me? I just went outside for some fresh air. I'm sure that I've told you before leaving the house."

I looked at the man who was in front of me. He was covered in sweat and it was very obvious that he was having sex.

"And where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm going upstairs. I'll go to sleep. In case you need anything, just wake me up."

I wanted to head upstairs already but I feel like Matthew is really mad at me.

"Is there anything else you want to tell me, Matthew?" I asked before leaving.

"No." He coldly replied.

"Then I'll go upstairs now. Good night."

He didn't respond so I just headed upstairs. I'm tired and I want to sleep already. "Nghh! M-Matthew, let's stop for now!"

I opened my eyes immediately as soon as I came to my senses. 'No way. They haven't stopped yet?'

"What do you mean, Ria? I still have a lot of energy left." I could hear Matthew say that to the woman he was with.

I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. Their mo*ns could be heard right through this room's wall.

'D*mn it! How can I even sleep?'

I rubbed my eyes before I sat on the bed. I gathered my energy and stood up.

'Should I go to them...?' I hesitated.

'Never mind.'

NEXT MORNING

I could hear the alarm going off. Annoyed, I killed it and got up from my bed. I didn't sleep a wink at all because of them.

I left the room and went straight to the living room. But before I could even relax my mind, I already saw both of them flirting.

'What the hell...' It's morning and they're flirting.

'Definitely a way to ruin someone's day.'

When Matthew and I looked at each other, I immediately hit him. 'Ugh, I'm running out of patience.'

"Matthew, what are your plans for today?" I heard the woman say.

"My plans? I have no plans exactly." Matthew answered him.

"Then shall we--" The woman was about to say something but I interrupted her. "Hey, you. Listen up." I promise,

"Wasn't last night enough? Why do you want to spend more time with Matthew when you know that he's a married man?" I said to him annoyed.

"Excuse me!? What do you mean-- Matthew isn't a married man." The woman said so I bit my lip.

"What?" I asked.

"Matthew isn't married. He's single." The woman said and looked at Matthew.

"What are you talking about?" I stopped when Matthew and I looked at each other. I was furious while he acted so calm.

"Matthew. Why don't you explain?" I promised Matthew but he just smiled.

"What do I need to explain?" I frowned at what he said.
