Chapter 1 BETRAYAL IN THE CITY

Luca De Luca sat on a counter stool in the bar, dressed in slim-fit jeans, a classic white shirt, a leather jacket, and Nike sneakers. He was discussing business with his longtime friend, Lorenzo Marino, who listened attentively to everything Luca had to say.

"I could use a glass of tequila," Luca said to the bartender. "Grazie, thank you." The bartender immediately served him the drink, while Lorenzo ordered a mixed drink of his own.

The bartender expertly combined a blend of French spirits, the colors mingling together in a mesmerizing dance. With a flourish, he grasped the shaker, the ice clinking inside, and shook it vigorously. The sound of ice and liquid swirling filled the air as the mixture was chilled to perfection.

As the bartender lifts the shaker, they strain the liquid into a glass, leaving the ice and garnishes behind. The drink is poured with precision, resulting in a smooth and velvety stream. Once the glass is garnished, the drink is ready to be served.

Lorenzo cleared his throat and replied to Luca, "I understand your concerns. This business has really taken a wrong turn compared to when it first began. Your father, Francesco De Luca, had everything under control until he went into hiding due to threats. I promise I won't let your father's hard work be destroyed or go to waste.

Francesco has been a great help to my family and me. When my father fell ill, he took it upon himself to care for my sick dad, even though at that time, I couldn't believe a billionaire like your father would care about a commoner like us. My father was just his old driver, Filippo. The most remarkable thing was that he helped us without expecting anything in return, and now I believe it's time for me to return the favor."

Luca chuckled, "My dear friend, I am truly happy that you recognize my father's good deeds while he was still in control of the business. This is why I called for this urgent meeting with you, and I must say I am impressed that you took the time to meet with me.

The business has been struggling for the last 30 days, which has me quite worried. I would love for you to join me in maintaining authority by meeting with top politicians to help figure out what the problem is. If it's due to internal issues, disloyal members, or external factors such as market changes or law enforcement? I promise to compensate you well for your assistance."

""That's so generous of you, Luca. I will do whatever it takes to help the empire," Lorenzo said.

"Very well then. I look forward to a job well done," Luca continued.

Lorenzo's father, Filippo, was five feet tall, handsome, and incredibly strong. He was Francesco's right-hand man and driver, adoring and respecting his boss. Once, during a business deal that was declined, Francesco instructed Filippo to handle the situation in his own way. Filippo's earlier discussion went smoothly.

"Buongiorno!" he greeted, which meant "Good morning" in Italian. After clearing his throat, he added, "As you already know, I'm not the kind of man to engage in petty discussions; in fact, I hate it!" He said this with a smirk on his face. "With that made clear, I want you to leave the ranch in New York."

"Why should I leave my ranch? Knowing fully well that's the only property that belongs to my family," Antonio responded defiantly.

Filippo slammed his hands on the table, instilling fear in Antonio, who stood firm in his resolve. Filippo was a man without patience; he killed as if it meant nothing and punished traitors as though they were slaves. In a moment of rage, he pointed a gun at Antonio's head, threatening to pull the trigger if he refused to comply. In the end, Francesco took over the ranch, and Filippo was rewarded for his loyalty. He had a deep disdain for disloyalty.

At the bar, Luca sat drinking while smiling at a beautiful American girl seated at the end of a black sofa. She wore a short, sleeveless black gown and silver heels, exuding elegance and charm. With her curly blonde hair, sea-blue eyes that captivated any man, and petite stature of just 4.5 feet, she was undeniably attractive. Her small, red lips only added to her appeal. It was clear that Luca had taken a strong interest in her from where he was seated. Luca, a handsome Italian mafia boss, was known to have a romantic side as well.

""Ciao! Hello!" Ella exclaimed as she leaned against the bar, a look of confusion in her eyes as she gazed at Luca. "I can't help but notice the way you looked at me."

"Oh, I didn't know it was a crime to look at a pretty lady here in London. My bad. My name is Luca," he said, extending his hand for a handshake as he introduced himself.

"Well, I'm Ella. I'm from California, and I came to London to spend quality time with my friends," she replied.

"I'm from Italy and I own the biggest skincare company, Bella Pelle Beautiful Skin," Luca said, adding a flirty tone to his voice.

""Wow! Are you the famous Luca De Luca from that popular skincare company in Italy?" she asked, her voice dropping to a seductive tone as she delicately placed her index finger on his cheek. "Why don't I show you my room?" Luca suggested with a smile. He took his last sip of tequila and then left with Ella.

Upon their arrival to the room,Ella kissed Luca with her red lips, he didn't resist but kissed her back hard, his fingers went directly under her dress,he feels on his hand Ella's wet thighs as she moans,Luca lifts up her legs to his shoulder, he feels her naked body and immediately thrusts into her untill they both reached climax.

After taking a sip of water, Luca exclaimed, "It's been so long since I felt this happy. Sex is good..." He smiled, and Ella looked pleased.

"I hope to see you some other time," she said as she picked up her dress from the floor. She put her clothes back on and kissed Luca goodbye.

"Hey, Ella, how about meeting at the beach tomorrow at 3 PM?" Luca suggested.

"Yeah, that works for me. See you at 3 PM!" Ella agreed.

Ella Miglir grew up in California, where she lived with her foster parents, who cared for her as if she were their own child. She loves parties, unusual adventures, traveling, and having fun. This time, however, Ella is in London for a different reason.

Luca has three days left before heading back to Italy. His thoughts throughout the day are consumed by Ella. He feels he had the best time of his life with her and really hopes to experience it again.

As he steps into the bathroom, he notices how his smooth skin reflects the light, almost like a mirror. His narrow waist, wide chest, and broad shoulders are complemented by his thick black hair and enchanting brown eyes. His eyebrows are full and dark. He turns on the water and slowly washes his well-groomed black hair.

That night, he goes to bed daydreaming about his next meeting with Ella, imagining new romantic fantasies.

The next morning, Luca woke up excited, unaware of what the day would bring. Suddenly, he heard a knock at the door. "Who could that be?" he wondered, his anxiety creeping in. The knock persisted, interrupting his thoughts. Finally, he decided to open the door. To his surprise, he found a bullet lying suspiciously on the floor. This was strange. Luca glanced around, searching for any sign of movement, but the hotel was quiet-a fact he noted was unusual.

""What the hell is going on here? I paid 3,155 euros for this place, yet no one can figure out who kept the damn bullet!" Luca yelled, speaking aggressively to the bartender and the security staff. "Where's the surveillance camera?" he demanded, waiting for a response, but was surprisingly ignored. "I said, where is the fucking camera?" Luca asked again, this time pointing a gun toward the ceiling.

This wasn't the kind of day Luca had anticipated. Things didn't go as planned, which he found odd. Luca dropped the gun and returned to his room, knowing that he wouldn't receive any response except the fact that he had killed someone. However, he refused to let himself be labeled a murderer.

Luca returned to the bar, but as he was coming downstairs, someone in a black shirt, black trousers, and a black face cap spilled a cup of wine on his dress. He suspected it was intentional. It was Ella.

"I hoped for a good day, not this," Luca thought. Just then, his phone rang. "Hi Luca, it's Ella," she said.

""Oh Ella, I'm really sorry. I forgot I had a date

My day has been far from what I planned; it has been one problem after another," Luca explained, his voice cold and intense as he revealed his worries. He continued, "I promise to make it up to you at 3 PM at the beach."

"Eh, about that... I don't think I can make it. Something came up that I need to attend to, and I hope we can see each other another time," Ella suggested.

""That's fine by me," Luca replied. "So... maybe Thursday, this time in the cemetery?" she suggested.

"I'm sorry, but what?!" Luca exclaimed.

"Hahaha, I was only kidding!" Ella laughed.

"Oh, thank goodness! It was just a joke. That was a sick, expensive joke, though," Luca admitted, feeling relieved.

"But it ain't a bad idea, you know?" Ella continued.

Luca felt a wave of unease wash over him. Before he knew it, goosebumps sprang up on his skin. He was nervous and scared, but he shook off the unsettling thought playing in his head. He suddenly felt a discomfort that seemed alarming.

"I will catch up with you later. Bye," Luca said as he hung up.

Luca picked up his phone again and buzzed Lorenzo, who answered immediately. "Luca, I wasn't expecting your call," he said.

"I know, but I need to talk to someone. Can you please meet me at the bar?" Luca said
