Levante's POV
I pulled my car to a stop and shut my eyes as I let my thoughts run. George Wong. 53 years old. Corrupt politician who engages in child sex trafficking. For that alone, he did not deserve to live.
I opened my eyes and let out a deep sigh. I looked up at the only room with the light on in the office building. Levante Giordano, I thought to myself, this is going to be an easy one.
I put my gun in my pocket, got down from my car and locked it. I walked into the building and used the stairs to George Wong's office on the 6th floor. I made sure to avoid the cameras as I walked to it. I opened the door and walked in.
He was confused to see me. He frowned a little. "Jenna Deborah Brown?" He asked softly.
I squinted my eyes at him.
"You certainly are not Elizabeth's daughter." He said.
I opened my eyes when I understood his confusion. He was expecting someone, a female to be precise. Maybe another young girl he was going to sell for sex. I frowned at him.
"Who are you?" He finally asked me.
I pulled out my gun, turned the safety off and pointed it at him.
He gasped with his eyes wide open as he lifted his hands up in the air.
Jenna's POV
I walked into the office building of Mr. Wong and used the elevator to get to the 6th floor. Mr. Wong had promised my mother he could help me pay for my final year of grad school, and he asked me to meet him in his office tonight for the money. Mom said he was an old friend and a good man. But he made sexual advances at her, so she thought it best that I go and see him for the money myself. She felt he would be ashamed to demand sex from me.
I was grateful to mom for helping me pay for my tuition for my final year. She had been there for me in my first year as well. However she didn't have enough to assist me this time. I was also laid off from my sales executive job a month ago, so gathering funds was difficult. Mom remembered Mr. Wong, and now here I was.
I let out a soft sigh as I walked out of the elevator towards Mr. Wong's office. I got to the office door and it was open. I saw a young man standing and pointing a gun at an older man who defenselessly sat in the office chair. My jaw dropped and my mind went blank.
Levante's POV
I pulled the trigger of my silencer three quick times and left the bullets in his chest. I watched him take his last breath, his eyes seemingly asking me why.
I picked up the shells and put them in my pocket. I turned to leave and saw a woman standing behind me with her mouth wide open.
I squinted at her. Jenna Deborah Brown, I assumed. Then I raised my gun at her head.
She put her hands up in the air immediately and tears flowed in her eyes. "Don't shoot. Please." She whispered in a shaky voice.
Just then I heard the sirens of police cars from a distance.
"Fuck!" I muttered under my breath and moved past her to the corridor.
She stood rooted at the door.
I looked back at her. "What are you doing? Let's go!" I screamed at her.
She shrieked and ran towards me with her hands still up.
"Follow my footsteps. Avoid the cameras." I said sternly as I ran out of the building to the back where I parked my car. I could hear her behind me. How did I miss her walking up to me earlier on?
"Wait, wait, wait!" She said just as we got to the car.
I turned to look at her gravely.
She was panting. "Please let me go. I'll keep my mouth shut and you'll never see me again." She tried to convince me.
I squinted my eyes at her. "What's written on my forehead?" I asked her softly as I subconsciously pointed at my forehead with my gun.
She stared at my forehead blankly.
"It's obviously not 'stupid'. Now get in the car before I blow your fucking brains out!" I said sternly.
She sobbed softly as she sat in the backseat.
I turned on the safety and put the gun in my pocket as I rushed to the driver's seat and quickly started the ignition. I turned to tell her to buckle up just as her phone vibrated with an incoming call. "Throw it out, now." I said sternly.
She ignored me and looked at the screen.
I saw 'Mom' written as the caller ID.
I grunted. "Look here young lady, you do not want to get on my bad side."
She looked up at me with a sudden braveness. "Or what?"
I raised my eyebrows at her. "Do you think I have time for rhetorical questions???" I asked her harshly and snatched the phone, threw it out of the window and buckled her up myself.
In an attempt to fight me off her, she slapped me.
I tried to control my temper because I wouldn't hit a woman. I turned to face the steering wheel. "Lay down." I said and sped off.
I heard a loud thump in the backseat and turned to see her holding on to her forehead.
"What the fuck did I say???" I screamed at her.
I pushed her down and slowed down just as the police cars sped in the direction of where I took out my target.
