The air blew across her face as Ella walked into the hospital. Carla was quick to recognize her the moment she got to the reception.

"Miss Ella, you are welcome" Carla smiled widely while greeting Ella. She loves seeing Ella around because of one thing, she always receives gifts from Ella anytime she comes to see her friend.

"Look at the beautiful Carla, I hope my friend is in the office?" Ella returned the smile and placed her bag in front of Carla.

"You are always lucky, she has no appointment at the moment. So you are free to go in" Carla responds.

"Of course, I'm the luckiest for having a doctor as my friend. You can have this while I go inside" Ella handed over a package to Carla and left the reception.

"Thank you so much ma'am," Carla said from behind and Ella chuckled as she made her way to Jessica's office.

Ella discerned a gentle knock on the door and waited patiently for Jessica's response.

"Yes, you can come in," Jessica said, and Ella opened the door.

The moment Jessica raises her head and sees Ella, a wide smile appears on her face.

"Hey girly"

Ella sits comfortably in front of her before giving her response. "You should learn how to treat your patient nicely. Stop talking to me in that manner" Ella retorted while hoisting her shoulder with pride.

Jessica burst into laughter instantly, seeing Ella in her dramatic way. "You should be thankful to have me as your friend. Do you think it's easy to get an appointment with doctors?" Jessica retorted.

"That's right, I'm just kidding anyway. I'm lucky to have your baby, so where is my result? I'm still feeling a bit weak, just waiting to have the result and get treated" Ella uttered while rubbing her temple.

"There is no need to get treated, moreover you are perfectly okay. Congratulations, you are one month pregnant" Jessica handed over the result to her.

Ella was stunned as she held the result, she found it difficult to believe what she just heard. "Do you mean I'm pregnant?" She asks for confirmation.

"Nothing is wrong with your hearing, that means you heard me right" Jessica responded.

Ella felt like she was dreaming, was she actually pregnant? Suddenly, she jumps up happily and hugs Jessica to herself. "Thanks so much, baby girl, I love you for this" Ella mumbled happily.

Jessica was trying to catch her breath as Ella's grip tightened around her neck. "Hey, let me go first. I can't breathe" Jessica tapped Ella's hand, and she let go of her.

"I'm sorry, I was just happy to hear the news. I bet Richard will be more happy to hear this, I can't wait to tell him" Ella mouthed while giggling.

Jessica could only chuckle as she stared at Ella, who was in so much happiness." Just make sure you keep your calm and tell him when he returns from work. Before I forget, there is something you should start doing as a pregnant woman, I will have it written and send it to your email" Jessica implied.

"Thanks, friend. I will have to go now, I need to buy some groceries and prepare his favorite dinner. Tonight will be a sweet night, it's our wedding anniversary, and I'm pregnant" Ella mouthed and carried her bag.

"Stop making me sad for being single, you should consider my condition at least" Jessica makes a pout.

"If you are sad, get married then. Bye, I will chat you up later" Ella made her way out.

"Be careful out there" Jessica raised her voice, but Ella was already out of the office. Jessica chuckled and said, "She must be really happy"

Ella was waiting patiently in the mansion for Richard to return from work. After preparing a nice meal by herself without receiving help from the maid, she dresses and dolls herself up. At first, She put the result on the table but kept it with her, feeling that she was too anxious.

Ella stands by the window side and peeps outside to see Richard's car. Not quite long, a black limousine drove into the garage. Richard got out with his suit jacket casually held in his right hand.

He had a tall figure and a stunning appearance.

The moment Ella saw Richard getting out of the car, she rushed back to her seat.

"Welcome home Babe" Ella jogged over to him, reaching out to hug him. But Richard grabbed her hand instead.

"I have something to tell you," He said.

Ella smiles widely as she sits opposite Richard. "I also have something to tell you, but we can talk over dinner. I make your favorite food, and I'm sure you will love it after having a bite" Ella mouthed.

"Take a look at this. Let me know if you have any other requests apart from the one written down" Richard retorted.

"Are you going to give me some kind of surprise or what?" Ella asks with a smile. Her smile disappeared the moment she saw the first page of the paper, which had the words "divorce agreement" written on it. Those words seem to stab Ella's eyes.

Richard tugged his shoelace, and traces of fatigue showed on his face. He glanced at Ella who was still in shock, she looked like a minor.

He doesn't plan to celebrate their anniversary with her because she is no longer the one in his mind. He had prepared the divorce papers beforehand and planned to give her on a day like this. As a billionaire, Richard wants someone of his status, and Ella doesn't match his status. She was just a commoner with no aristocracy.

Keeping the facade up will only ruin his plan and waste Ella's time. It was a great idea for them to separate.

"I don't think I can continue this marriage with you, I've found someone else that makes my heartbeat" Richard deadpan with no sign of contrite.
