Chapter 1 One night stand

Elena! We're going to a party tonight my friend's throwing it at this insane penthouse downtown. You're coming, no excuses!"

Nina burst into the apartment, tossing a silver dress onto the bed and grabbing Elena's phone from her hands.

"I'm not interested," Elena muttered, pulling the comforter over her head. "I've had the worst week. I got yelled at by my boss, spilled coffee on my blouse, and stepped in gum twice."

Nina groaned. "Exactly why you need this. Please? One night. One party. You deserve to feel alive again."

Elena peeked out, eyeing the dress. "That thing barely qualifies as fabric."

"That thing," Nina said dramatically, "will remind you that you're hot and not dead inside. Shower. Now."

Elena rolled her eyes, but part of her gave in. Maybe she did need a little chaos.

The penthouse was lound with life sound Music throbbed through the floors, lights cast a golden glow on everything they touched, and expensive perfume hung in the air like temptation.

Elena gripped her clutch tightly, feeling exposed in the silver dress, though heads were turning as she passed.

"You look like sin in heels," Nina whispered. "Go dance. I'll find you later."

Elena pushed through the crowd, making her way into the center part of the dancefloor. The loud beating of the music made her body began to sway and instinctively, it followed the rhythm smoothly. She closed her eyes, feeling each sway her body made. She looks very seductive the way she moved. The people dancing around her was captivated and can't take their eyes off of her. Unbeknownst to her, a pair of sharp eyes was keenly observing her ever since she walked in. He was sitting just around the corner, near the bar counter. The man had a striking features. He was wearing a midnight black shirt, looking irresistible and powerful at the same time. He was casually sipping whiskey, but his deep blue eyes never left on the beautiful figure seductively swaying on the dancefloor. Then, a cold smirk tugged at the corner of his lips..

Elena was so immersed in her dancing, without noticing that pair of sharp eyes. When she opened her eyes, she met the burning stare of the man who was sitting at the corner of the bar. That pair of mesmerizing blue eyes caught her off guard.

He walked toward her slow and seducing

"You don't seem like the party type," he said, voice smooth but deep

"Neither do you," Elena replied, surprised by the steadiness of her voice.

A small smile on his mouth. "Damian."

"Elena."

His gaze went to her lips. "Dance with me."

She didn't think. She simply nodded.

He took her hand and pulled her into the center of the dance floor. The crowd faded. The music slowed. And suddenly, the room felt too hot.

Damian's hand settled on her lower back, his other lacing with hers. He didn't rush. His movements were confident but unhurried, like he had all night.

He smelled so good with perfume

Her body responded before her mind could catch up.

They danced like no one else existed. Her body molded into his, chest to chest, breath to breath. Every brush of their skin sparked something low and deep inside her.

When the song ended, he leaned down, lips just above her ear. "Let's get out of here."

Elena's heart hammered. "Where?"

"My hotel's around the corner," he murmured. "Just for the night."

Just for the night.

She should say no. But instead, she whispered, "Okay."

The suite was breathtaking floor to ceiling windows, city lights sprawled out below, a king sized bed with silk sheets. But Elena only saw him.

Damian.

He turned to her, slowly unbuttoning his jacket, then his shirt, revealing sculpted lines and hard muscle. "Still sure?"

Her lips parted. "Yes."

He walked toward her. "I don't rush, Elena."

"I don't want you to."

His hand cupped her cheek as he kissed her soft at first, then deeper. Slower. The kind of kiss that stripped her bare before a single piece of clothing came off.

Her fingers slid into his hair. His hands explored her curves like he was memorizing them.

He undressed her like she was fragile silk her dress slipping to the floor, leaving her in lace and heat. Damian's mouth traveled from her neck to her collarbone, lingering between her breasts as his breath teased her skin.

"You're beautiful," he murmured against her stomach, his voice rough.

Her thighs trembled as his hands moved lower, parting them gently. He kissed her inner thigh, slow and reverent, building anticipation like a promise.

By the time he laid her down on the bed, she was burning.

He hovered above her, meeting her eyes. "I want to take my time with you."

"Then do it," she whispered, voice breathless.

He entered her slowly, filling her inch by inch, their moans tangling in the air. Her back arched, fingers clawing the sheets as he moved-deep, slow thrusts that made her shatter over and over.

Each stroke was deliberate, worshipful.

Her name left his lips like a vow.

She had never felt this way. Not just desired but seen.

When they finally collapsed into each other, tangled in sweat and breath and quiet wonder, Elena lay in silence, her heart still racing.

Damian brushed her hair from her face, eyes soft for the first time all night.

"Sleep," he whispered.

But she did, Because somehow, she knew this was more than just a night.

She just didn't know how much.

The next morning

Sunlight streamed through the window,

Elena stirred, reaching for warmth that wasn't there.

Her eyes opened slowly and she was alone.

She was scared but She sat up, pulling the sheet around her bare chest. The room was silent, his scent still lingering on the pillows, but Damian was gone.

Her dress was folded neatly on the chair. On the nightstand, her phone buzzed with notifications.

A missed call from Nina.

A new text.

And... a bank alert.

Her stomach turned as she tapped the notification: a transfer of five thousand dollars from an unknown account.

Her fingers clenched around the phone. No note. No explanation. Just the cold deposit and his absence.

She dressed quickly and slipped out of the hotel, her heart heavier than it had been the night before.

"Where the hell have you been?" Nina asked the moment Elena stepped through the door.

"I'm fine," Elena replied quickly, brushing past her.

"You didn't answer my calls. I was ready to call the police,

"I said I'm fine," Elena snapped, softer than she meant it. "I just needed air."

Nina narrowed her eyes but didn't push further.

Few weeks gone Elena buried the night behind a wall of work. Meetings. Reports. Coffee. Sleep.

But the memory refused to fade.

The way he looked at her.

The way he kissed her.

The way he disappeared.

She told herself it didn't matter. It was one reckless night. One mistake. One man she'd never see again.

Until the nausea started.

At first, she blamed stress. Coffee on an empty stomach. Bad takeout.

But when she threw up three mornings in a row and the dizziness at work she decided to take a test before anything else

She stood in the pharmacy aisle with trembling fingers, staring at the row of pregnancy tests.

And she knew.

Her hand closed around the box.

Because one reckless night... had changed everything
