"Tasha, it's about time you celebrate, you graduated last month plus you got a job, the celebration is long overdue" my best friend and roommate Faith was saying in her motherly voice.
She's basically been my family since I lost mine to a plane crash a few years back.
The celebration isn't a bad idea, the bad idea is that she wants me to go on a date with a guy I right swiped on tinder but I wasn't ready for any type of relationship.
Well, Faith won in the end, she wins everytime. She's getting me all dolled up for my date in a bar. She let my curly hair down, conditioned it and laid down my edges. She made my make-up very light and minimal, insisting that I might get smashed tonight and she doesn't want her hard work ruined which might likely not happen.
She pulled out a short black strapless dress with a cowl neck and a small slit on my left thigh to be matched with black heels. I sprayed my perfume and I smelled and looked great. I loved what I was looking at.
"Babes, he won't be able to take his eyes off you, I can bet that" Faith said in an almost crying voice while I laughed. She can be a little dramatic sometimes.
"See you tomorrow at noon" she said kissing my cheek
"How'd you know I won't be back tonight ?" I asked but instead of replying, she pushed me out the door blowing me a kiss.
I took an Uber to the Galor's club where my date asked us to meet. The club opened a week ago but it's bustling with people.
I've been sitting in the bar section for about an hour and a half and my date hasn't showed up yet. I'm contemplating going home or just sitting here. I can't believe I got stood up the one time I finally decided to go on a date with this guy. It's really annoying.
I finished the rest of my drink and was about to flag the bartender when I felt a piercing stare. It was drilling a hole at the back of my head.
I turned around and was met with the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen. I almost couldn't look away but I forced myself to.
I flagged down the bartender. "Can I get the check please ?" I couldn't wait to go home and tell Faith what happened and how wrong she was
"It's been covered already"
The bartender tilted his head towards my side and I felt a commanding presence beside me. I turned and I was met with the same beautiful blue eyes. It was as clear as the sea.
He looked delicious yet dangerous. His sleeves were folded up so I could see the tattoos peeking out of his muscular arms. His dark brown hair was perfectly disheveled. He had a perfect jawline which I'm sure can cut through steel.
He's towering over me looking every bit handsome yet intimidating but I don't falter.
He took a seat beside me while I gave him a half smile.
"Drinking alone or are you here with someone ?"
"I got stood up by my date" I replied slightly embarrassed.
He gave me a smirk "I don't believe you but I'll take it. What's your name?"
"My name is Natasha Clark but most people call me Tasha" I replied with a shy smile. "What's yours?"
"My name is Alex," he replied. His voice was smooth and firm and it was doing something to me. I never thought I'd get turned on by a guy's voice.
"Would you like to dance Natasha Clark ?"
"I would love to Alex" I said grinning.
He took my hand and pulled me to my feet. He's so tall I feel very short even with my heels on.
He led us to the dance floor and we danced together, I turned my back to his front rubbing my ass to his front. He placed his hands on waist as we followed the rhythm of the music.
I wouldn't normally do this but alcohol brings out another side of me.
I felt a hot breath against my ear.
"Would you like to take this somewhere else Princess ?" He asked
"Sure why not" I replied with a seductive smile.
