Abhi's pov

10 years...It's quite a long period. These ten years...I don't know how I got addicted to you. Is it your innocent eyes or your alluring smiles that draw me towards you. Whatever it is I can only watch you slowly moving away from my life.

Tomorrow Siya, the love of my life is getting married to my brother. I don't know whether I should be happy or sad. Its always easy to say that seeing your loved one getting married to the one they love, you should be happy. But its a sad truth that no one can bear to see their love becoming someone else's. I dont know about others. But I don't find meaning in living this life if she is going to be someone else's.

Should I plead her not to marry him? Should I ask her to give her hand to me so that I can treasure it for the whole life? Or should I ask her to give me a chance to prove my love.?

What if she rejects me? How am I gonna handle that. What if she give me a chance? Should I go for a last try.

With so much confused thoughts I took my steps to the place where her mehandi function was going on.

Even large steps away from them, I could hear the laughing sound of her and her friends. "Be truthful Siya. Isn't Anujith the one you loved during our school days. I always knew something was brewing between you two those days.", Arti, her friend said laughingly.

" Do you guys know that I even once caught her writing love letters. But I never thought that finally your fluffy love is gonna end in marriage. You are really lucky to get a loving husband like Anu. Really I am very happy for you yaar" her friends happily congratulated her. "Thankyou guys" she said with a smiling face

I can see her smiling happily from a distance.

She is so happy. Are you a dumbo. How could you go and confess to her. Are you going to make yourself a big joke infront of her. Dont forget that she is going to marry someone she loves for all those years. She can never be yours. Accept the fact........he sadly whispered to himself.

With so much sorrow in my heart I went back to my house.

Siya's pov

In life we all have an unspeakable secret, an irreversible regret, an unreachable dream and an unforgettable love...It all include Abhi in it. No one can forget their first love. My first love was Abhishek.

With hopeless eyes I looked towards the mehandi in my hands. I can find a letter A in it. I smiled weakly. I know whats going through my head. Its good that both their names start with A. I should stop these thoughts. Tomorrow I will be getting married to Anu. Eventhough I am not happy about this marriage I should do it for my parent's happiness. They always wanted me to get married to Anu. But I would have definitely said a no to this alliance if I felt like there is some hope in my one sided love.

It wasn't until the realisation struck me that even though I would remain unmarried my whole life he still wouldn't care, that i finally decided to get married.

Dont take me for an idiot but I was willing to wait for him to move on from his past unerequited love.

But I think thats never gonna happen. Even today when I saw him entering the function a small hope bubbled up inside my heart that he was here to confess his love for me.

But how can the great and mightly Abhishek fall for this fool?. So when I saw him leave quickly I realised that my dreams are going to remain dreams this lifetime.

As I was tired of the whole functions today I went to sleep on my bed. As I drifted to sleep I saw a tall figure coming towards me with a small box in his hand. With the aura he is emitting i could easily know it was Abhi. He walked towards me with a warm smile. Just as he reached near me he bent on his one knee and opened the box. The stone placed on the ring shined like a twinkling star. Oh my god is he proposing?. Just when he was about to put that ring on me, he dissapeared. Is it a dream?

Immediately I woke up from my sleep. Yeah, It was really a dream. I looked the phone phone time and it was 1 am.

I sat there silently on the bed. Is this dream a sign for me to not get married. Absolutely. I should not do this. Omg what am I gonna do.

I took my phone and dialed Anujith's number. After ringing for some time he took the phone. "Dont you think you are too desperate to call your hubby at night before the wedding", asked Anu in a sleepy voice.

" Sorry I can't do this. We don't love each other. We can't do this. Can you call off the wedding or should I elope from this wedding?". . .

"Ok don't do something foolish. I will think of a way. If things don't go as we planed, then there is no choice for you other than marrying me. Ok, now go to sleep. Lets think about it tomorrow."Anu said in a relaxed tone.

" What think about it tomorrow? Tomorrow is the wedding day yaar. Do something. Please, I beg you yaar. I know what I am asking for now is too selfish but I don't have any other option. I can't get hitched to you when I truly have feelings for someone else.", she replied. "Ok ok now sleep.", by saying this he cut the phone.

Anu's pov

No this can't happen. I have always loved you for these many years and your choice is still the same. Abhi, even though you are my brother I still hate you. This marriage will happen for sure. I will get married to her by hook or crook. Nobody can love her as much as I do. I can't lose you.I have kept them unaware of each others feeling for all these years. I can do the same for many more years to come. I should definately come up with some excuse to get her married to me tomorrow. And if I appear at the end moment of the marriage she can't make a fun out of me or her family by refusing to marry me. Tomorrow I will make you mine Siya. Finally the day is coming...

It was really a sleepless night for both Abishek and Siya.

Finally the day came..

" Have you got ready siya? How much more time are you going to take beta. Be fast. Anu and his family might come anytime soon.", Siya's mon nandhini asked.

"Just a min maa. Will be there in 5 min" Anu replied. Anu closed herself in a room after getting ready. She did'nt know what to do. A wave of tension can be seen in her face. "Whether Anu was able to convince his family?", she thought to herself.

"Siya Open the door. Let me see you beta." After hearing this Siya opened the door.

Nandhini sat next to her. " I dont know whether I should be happy or sad. My little angel is getting married. I know you are not ready to take any big responsibilities in yourlife but don't worry, Anu is a nice guy. Even though this is an arranged marriage between families, you have known him since childhood and you guys are good friends. So the transition to a good wife won't be hard for you Siyu. And I feel there is no better match to you than him. And afterall I can see the love for you in his eyes.", her mom explained.

"Nandhini, bring Siya downstairs. The Varmas are here." Siya's father, Raghuram yelled.

"What? They are here? So he didnt tell them to call off the wedding? What will I do now?

I should do something now. But what?. . .

Abhi's pov

Oh god! give me the strenght to watch her marrying someone else. I

know that the pain I feet now is here to stay in many forms through many nights. I am sure there will not be anyone who would be able fill her space in my heart.

Maybe the only reason I am withstanding everything today is because I know that she is happy. Her happiness is all that matters. But saddest thing is that her happiness was never me. Even if today is the saddest day in my life, its her happiest day. I should be a part of it. .. . .

" Anu why are you not coming? We have to reach there before muhurat. Its been late", Anusha Verma, Anu's mom questioned before leaving with Abhi. "You can leave with Dad and Abhi, mom. I will arrive with my friends in time.", Anu replied. "Ok then we are leaving. Be in time.", his mom said.

Keeping his sorrows aside Abhi drove his car with his family to the venue. Before he drove away he could see Anujit taking to someone on phone. . . . .

Since he arrived at the venue, his eyes were wandering to meet someone. He felt like he will die at the moment without getting a glance of her. He took strides towards where she was waiting by following one of her friends.

Abhi pov

There's the one who made my whole youth beautiful. "Just one glance at you and thats all it takes to make my heart beat faster", he said to himself. Seeying her in that red lehanga I feel like I am seeing the most beautiful angel on the earth. I really wanted to ask her will you be mine forever?.

I think I can stare at her the whole day like this. Oh damn Abhi, come back to reality. Within minutes she will become your sister in law.

Thats the worst truth that you have to accept now.

"Why can't I see that happiness in her face today? I thought she will be smiling bright like a sun today. But why do I feel like she is sad. Oh dont think too much Abhi. Maybe its due to tension. Yeah tension. I think all brides are tensed before marriage. Tension... . . "Where's Anu, Anant, I can't see him", most of the invitees stated asking the same question.

Anant Varma asked his wife, " Where is Anu? Its time for the wedding rituals to begin". "He said he will come with his friends. I have tried reaching him on phone but he is not picking up. What should I do now?" Anusha Varma answered with concern.

" But his friends are already here. Where did that brat go. Do he consider this as some child's play? Ask his friends and Abhi to look for him." Anant ranted.

On the stage panditji (priest) was all ready to begin the puja as muhurat was nearing. " Call the bride and groom". . .

Siya's pov

How could Anu do this to me. He said he will find a plan but everybody is here. Anyway I will not let this marriage happen.

Now there is only one solution to stop this marriage.

I will faint. Acting is not a big deal. I have seen it in soaps. The wedding will be postponed. The rest can be taken care later. So its decided, just as the pujas begin I will faint. . When she was called by panditji, she took her strides towards mantap not knowing that Anu is nowhere to be found. . . .

" Mr Varma, Where is Anu. Call him. Pandit ji is waiting" Siya's father Mr.Raghuram said.

"He hasn't arrived yet. We can't reach him. His friends are searching. He is nowhere to be found I think he is missing ", Anant explained the situation to him.

"What the hell do you mean by Anujith is missing. Its a matter of my girls future. And you are saying he is missing ?, Siya's father fumed furiously. . . .

Siya approached towards the stage. The panditji asked her to sit near to the groom. His face was covered with a sehra.

Siya's pov

How could he sit here. Bloody idiot! I feel like hitting him with some pan. How could he do this?

Panditji started the pujas.

My head was filled with rage. Fumes were rashing from both my ears. I should execute my fainting drama now. Ok 1 ....2..........threeeeeeee......

Just then my eyes caught on a mirror kept in the front of him. I saw his face. Its Abhi. Am I hallucinating things now?

I pinched myself to check whether I was sober or in any dreamworld.

Ouch! It hurts. That means.....groom changed. But why? Why is he willing to marry me? Is he sober? I looked his face again. Ofcourse he looks sober. Do he love me? Then why? And where is Anu.

Oh Siya! Now is not the time to think too much. Now is the time to get fastly married to your man. I should fastly do the rituals and become his wife immediately before he change his mind.

Oh god! What if I did the act of fainting today without knowing he was the groom? You would have really lost the chance to be his wife Siya. Why did that duffer Anu didn't tell me that he is gonna switch the groom? Anyway I am happy....very very happy.

Abhi' pov

How did she agree to marry me.? Is she happy? I glared at her face. She is smiling. That means she is ok with marrying me.

Is this the same scene that I pictured in my mind. She is sitting near him happily. She happily took the pheras with me. And finally I put the mangalsootra on her and filled her intersection of hair with sindoor. I finally got married to her.

Oh god! You are really something. You turned the saddest day in my life to the happiest and most memorable day.

She is my wife. I am her husband..this is all that I wanted from life.

Minutes ago...

Most of invites smelled something off as the groom was nowhere to be found.

" Mr Verma, if this wedding doesn't happen as planned forget that business deal between our two companies. It was your proposal to marry my daughter to your son. And that bratty little son of yours. How could you he this to us. And seriously, before escaping did he even think about my innocent Siya?", Siya's father said.

"No, dont break the business deal. We have been partners since long. Don't do this as part of a misunderstanding. We can find a solution. It was a mistake from my son's part. I will find a solution. And I assure your daughter's marriage will surely happen today itself ", Mr Varma insisted.

" Call Abhi here immediately", Mr Verma commanded his secretary.

"Why are you calling Abhi. Dont tell me you are planning to marry him to my daughter?" Siya's father questioned.

"Yes, I want him to marry Siya. I always wanted Siya as my daughter in law. Abhi is the eldest. You know Abhi is more capable and sensible that Anu. And now Abhi has even made his own name in the business industry without my support. I am sure he will be able to take care of Siya.", Mr Verma explained.

"I know Abhi is capable. But I can agree to this under one condition. I want my son in law to be the next heir of Verma industries.", Siya's father demanded.

"That's not posibble. Anu will be the next heir", Anusha sneered.

"Did I ask you opinion? Abhi is my eldest son and he will be the next heir. Its decided then." Mr Verma assured.

He glared at Anusha giving an angry look.

Just then Abhi arrived with a curious look... "What happened Papa. You called me?" Asked Abhi.

"Anu went missing.", his dad said.

"What.....he is missing", Abhi looked with disbelief.

"You must marry her. Dont say a no. It's a matter of our family's prestige. So please marry her.", his father commanded.

"But is she okay with it? Me marrying her?", He questioned.

"Don't worry about that let her dad handle that.", his dad said. . . . . .
