A family car rode along the busy highway, where the moon and city lights made their way forward. There were two families in that car. A little girl who seemed like a 2-year-old baby girl bounced on a woman's lap who was the mother of the 5-year-old little boy. He was settled on the seat between that little girl's parents, as his father was in charge of driving the car.
That 2-year-old baby girl's eye seemed different from others, and that shone as it melted the cold person. Her eyelashes are dark black, which made her eyes more elegant.
The two families bloomed with a smile as they had a nice talk with each other. That little boy stood up by putting his feet on the seat as that baby's father held his hip to save him from falling. "Dad, it's boring to sit with them!"
"I want to sit next to you!" He demanded with a baby-pouted face while that little girl turned to him.
"Just stay there!" His father had ordered.
He pouted in anger and grabbed the head of his father's seat and wiggled it.
"Dae-Seong!"
"Don't be like that!" that little girl's father warned softly.
But he didn't listen to them.
That little girl also raised her baby voice at him: "Don't, brother!"
"Dad can't drive properly!"
He didn't mind her either; he raised his feet and put it between the two front seats, but it touched the gear and pushed forward. Because of that, the car moved faster. Unfortunately, his frightened father couldn't pull back the gear and forgot about pressing the brake pedal.
He twirled the steering wheel to the other side with his full force, but a truck blocked their car from moving forward, so he ended up twirling back to its back position.
They were all startled. The little boy's mother held that little girl into her arms after seeing that they were going to hit the other car that was coming towards them. That little girl's father and mother pulled Dae-Seong inside their arms.
After confirming that he had no choice but to hit, that little boy's father blocked his wife's head from getting hit by the accident while he was about to hit the black car that was coming in front of them. His head pumped on the steering wheel forcefully, and the force pulled him back to the seat as his backside head pumped on that door side as the front sides of this car and that car pumped each other, scattering the glass particles.
Dae-Seong's father's hand fractured while it was holding his wife's head from getting hurt. the woman who held the little girl in her arms uprighted, looked at all of them as she bleed on the side head. That little girl seemed to have no breath; she was in her arms like a dead person while Dae-Seong and that little girl's father and mother bled a lot.
Dae-Seong also slightly coughed as his elbow bled, and his mother turned to his side while he was tightly held by that little girl's parents.
In that other collapsed car, there was a married young woman and a man bleeding a lot from the fainted body, while a little boy whose age was about 3 crawled into the back seat and stood up, crying as he stared at his parents with the blood running down from his head.
[20 years later]
That was a small bookstore named "Reinvention of Heart." That looked like a poor store, but in there, the layers and books were all neatly arranged, and the floors were crystal clear and neat.
A 22-year-old elegant, thin girl was sitting alone at the cashier's table as her elegant, shining iris looked outside of the window, her dark eyelashes blinked. Even if she looked beautiful, there were two to four rips on her grey T-shirt, and the dirt on her white skirt changed its original colour.
A peep sound came from her phone. She took it and looked at it.
It was a message about her degree ceremony. She smirked and said, "The long-awaited day."
"I have a chance to meet him," her disappointed eyes kept looking at the message on the patches list.
"But love?" She sighed at the phone as her lowered voice dimmed even more.
Ara was her name. She was currently in her early 22s, living in an orphanage, and was the owner of the so-called "reinvention of the heart book store" in Korea.
She had an admirably beautiful face and figure. The only bad thing about her was her temper.
[One year ago]
In the night, in a dark room where all the windows are closed, her phone's brightness showed her worried face, and her thumb was scrolling the old text of the contact's name: "liar."
There was no reply from the liar's side of the display. That was her texts were the only ones in that contact.
She kept scrolling down the text slowly, mumbling, "Where did it go wrong?"
After a few seconds of scrolling, her thump stopped scrolling and said, "Here it is."
It was her text. says, "Do you love me?" "Did you ever love me?"
His reply was simply "idk" and "I have no interest in love."
She embarrassingly looked at his reply and said to herself, "It's my fault that I've asked like this."
"Oh, shit!" She put it on the table as it made a sound and covered her face with a bed sheet.
For honesty's sake, she had been getting rejected for the third time by that liar and also got rejected by her school crush once; that was her first love.
Suddenly, Ara woke up. "Oh, sh*t!"
"I forget about my boys," she said, taking her phone back and playing a song from a K-pop boy band group called FFB. She slowly fell asleep as the songs kept playing themselves.
[Six months later]
In the same dark room, she was laying on the bed with her body facing the ceiling. She was lifting her phone straight to her face as her phone's display faced her and mumbled, "Am I doing sh*t?"
"Am I disturbing him again?" She talked to her phone by sending "hi" to the liar again and putting it away, closing her eyes, and getting embarrassed.
A peep sound came immediately, and she took it quickly.
Her pupils got wide, and her eyebrows touched her upper forehead.
"Is this a dream?" She was screaming silently, looking at his reply: "Hi." "Did you have your dinner?"
She slapped her cheek and glanced at it again. "It is real," she shouted.
She replied simply yes.
After that, there was no reply from him. She kept staring at the phone for his message for a long time without even sleeping.
Meanwhile, she had fallen asleep without turning off her phone screen.
The wall clock showed 11 o'clock.
The next morning, the sun peeked through her windows, and she got up, yawned, and squeezed her sleepy eyes. And then, she quickly took her phone and opened the liar's chat.
She got annoyed after realising that there was no message from him. "If they don't have feelings, why do they dig up our excitement?" She cursed at the chat.
She kept yelling at the phone, "I can't take it anymore." "Am I looking like a fool to him?" Her angry fingers typed quickly, "Do you have feelings for me or not?" and threw it on the bed out of anger by twisting her head.
But the peeping sound came immediately, so she jumped on the bed and read the message.
It said, "I'm sorry, I don't have that kind of feeling for you."
She frowned, sighed, and said casually, with a disappointed face, "I expected this."
She deleted his contact shortly, unfriended him on social media, and also deleted her chat account out of anger at him.
"From today on, I'm not going to cry over him." She spoke angrily.
"It is the end," she assured herself confidently.
"Good boy," she said, failing to blink. She kept frowning at the phone as the fire burned in her eyes.
Meanwhile, tears started to pour from her reddish eyes, and she moaned, "Why does no one love me?" She whimpered.
"This is how my one-sided love got destroyed," she said to herself, putting the phone on the cashier's table.
"Even god can't fulfil my wishes."
"Now, I'm faded in the bright sky," she said as she lowered her head and exhaled longer.
There was no customer in her bookstore. She was always alone in her store.
She was looking at the ceiling with a long face and moaning, "At least, can you bring a customer to my store?"
"the only one." She said it empathically.
A few hours later,
She noticed a tall, white young boy enter her store, fully covering his face with a black mask and hat. His jacket expressed him as rich to her eyes.
She got up quickly and moved towards him with a happy face.
"Welcome, sir!"
"What kind of book do you prefer, sir?" She talked nicely to him.
But he was peeking outside often as his feet were unable to stand still. He stood near the action/adventure book section and took one of them in a hurry while she was talking to him.
He showed it to her and said, with his sweet, nice, and clear voice, "I want this."
She topped talking and mumbled, "This feels familiar to me," and looked at his hair. She saw that his eyes were covered suspiciously.
"Can you move your hair?" "You seem familiar to me," she asked as her suspicious mind found that he seemed to like her bias, waving her hand instead of saying the price of the book.
He pulled off his hat to hide his eyes in front of her and asked her, by changing his voice slightly, "How much is this?"
She made a weird face and moved to the cashier's table. He followed her back.
She scanned the book and said, while he was busy calling someone. "5000 won,"
She mumbled while he took money from his wallet and his other hand was busy holding a phone, "I wish I'd stay by his side with this much distance if he were my idol."
Then he handed her the money. At the time, a small, shining particle of stone spread over their touching fingers.
He said politely, "Thank you."
She also bowed back politely and said, "Welcome."
He took back his book and said, "Hyung, where are you?" He hurriedly spoke. Then he looked at the door side. It was a black luxury-brand car.
So, he got in the car quickly, and the car went fast after he locked the car door.
A few seconds later, five schoolgirls were chasing after the car, shouting "Do-Yun Oppa."
Ara was stunned and wide-eyed as she watched him leave the place. Suddenly, that group of five girls came to her store, shook Ara's shoulder, and asked, "Which book did he buy?"
She lifted her right hand slowly and pointed out the action-adventure layer. But her eyes were still in shock, and she didn't even shake a little.
So, those five girls ran over to that side, took all of the leftover books, put the money on her palm, and folded her wrist to hold the money.
Then, they left happily while Ara was still in shock. The money fell on the ground as her wrist opened itself.
Ara shook off her hand and moved fast to the cashier's desk, where she collected the drop-down money and excitedly said, "I got money! I got money! I got money!"
She was counting them one by one and put them in the desk drawer. At last, she took that lonely 5,000-won piece of paper money gently and ironed it by using her palm nicely.
She showed it off in front of her face and kissed it, said, "I'm so lucky to have you."
This is how she always escapes from her anxiety, which was caused by overthinking.
Her idols were her stress busters.
After that, there were no customers again, and the remaining day went like some other days.
Even though, a shameless smile kept beaming on her face every time she looked at Do-Yun's money,
She opened the drawer, looked at it, smiled, and then closed it. She was doing it alternatively.
The sun slowly disappeared from the sky as the moon peeked through on the opposite side of the sun. Time passed, and she looked at the clock, which indicated 8:30 p.m., so she locked the bookstore by flipping the board as the word "closed" is seen from the outside.
She went up the stairs after switching off all the lights. There was the door to her small house. She opened it, switched on the lights, and directly moved forward to the tiny, clean kitchen.
She heated the cooled rice. After having a stomach full of dinner, she did the dishes. A few minutes later, she leaned on her bed while switching off the lights in the room.
The time is 8:55, and she was already in deep sleep. When the minute's arrow touched 12 and the hour's arrow reached 9 on the wall clock, she was standing in the bright room and opened up her eyes to look around that rich room.
The bed looked neat, and the windows are cleaned up clearly. She looked at her foot touching down on that dust-free floor.
Her paw was moved by watching those photos on the wall; those are all her idols.
She touched it gently, bounced up and down out of excitement, and shouted in a husky voice, "What a fetching dream?"
Her wondering didn't seem to leave her. She took her chance to touch everything and felt like her heart was healing itself.
At last, her roaming paws came to the cupboard, where the awards were neatly arranged in the glass cupboard.
In the meantime, the noise of the boy's voice hit her ear and grabbed her full attention. So she moved to that door side and opened it slightly, peaked at them.
Four boys were settled on the sofa having funny talks. Two boys settled into the little long sofa. Their backsides were only seen by her. Even so, her regular brain cell located them by examining them from the backside. One boy sitting on the right side separated one sofa, and the other one on the left side separated one sofa.
She voiced wonder, "My boys!"
1. One of the boys on the little long sofa wearing a white shirt and having orange-colored hair is Dae-Seong. He is a 25-year-old main dancer and vocalist in the FFB boy band.
We can see the charm in his stunning eyes and the most attractive smile in the world. He is lovely around his boys and their fans. One of the shortest members of FFB at 179 cm. He always prefers neat dresses and hates mango juice.
2. That was Dae-Hyun, who is next to him, wrapping his hand over Dae-seong's shoulder. He is also 25 years old and is the main dancer and vocalist of the group.
Dae-Hyun and Dae-Seong are close friends who came from the same school. Dae-Hyun is such a handsome man, and he always prefers dresses that suit his handsomeness. And he always fights with Do-Yun; sometimes loves him too.
Dae-hyun's natural hair is curly black hair, which adds more cuteness to his face. If he did his hair straight, no one could beat his handsomeness. He is three centimeters taller than Dae-Seong.
3. There was Bitgaram on the left-side sofa. He is the group leader of the FFB boy band group, has a little handsome face, and is a gym lover. He doesn't like long hair. He is a silent guy with a sexy body. Also, he will solve each problem with calmness.
But he is scared of Dae-Seong when it comes to dancing practice. He's the tallest guy, and he has an elegant cheek. And most importantly, he is the chef for his members.
And the last one, the youngest, is settled straight down on Bitgaram's sofa. He is Do-Yun, a 24-year-old main dancer and vocalist who sometimes rap. Do-Yun is a cute boy but not a handsome man. very playful with all people except girls. He likes outings. Dae-Hyun is the saver of him. He was always helpful whenever he was about to get caught by the paparazzi. He's taller than Dae-Deong but shorter than other boys.
Dae-Seong noticed Do-yun's dimming eyes. So, he said, "Do-Yun seems so sleepy."
All of their eyes turned to him. "Go and have a good sleep," Dae-Hyun said, pressing his shoulder with a little force which made him moan a little.
That was a big hall with three rooms and a small hall.
So, Do-Yun got up, and his sleepy walk came towards the room where Ara was peeking from.
She slowly closed the door as soon as she noticed him.
The bed was vertical from the window.
Do Yun opened the door with those sleepy eyes, and his Hyungs kept seeing him until he closed the door.
Then, they left carrying their plates, but Dae-Hyun followed them by leaving his plate on the table alone.
Do-Yun stopped right next to his bed as his half-closed eye watched Ara standing straight at him at a distance of 5 feet.
Ara also has the same reaction. They were staring at each other for a whole minute.
She was admiring him by saying, "Even dreams look like reality," while Do-Yun squeezed his eyes and leaned over the bed, saying, "Now I see things too."
A few seconds later, he bounced up with a startled body, his eyes in shock, and turned to the side again, where he saw that girl.
But there was no one. Then he exhaled, relaxed, switched off the lights, and started to sleep peacefully.
After he slept, the door began to open itself. Ara came in with her mouth mincing something and had a plate full of meats.
She was stunned and stopped mincing as soon as she saw her bias Do-Yun's beautiful sleeping face and started to admire him by putting the plate on the near table.
Dae-Hyun came back to get his plate, but there was nothing but a clean table.
His eyes were shocked, and he went towards his room, shouting, "I didn't even finish it yet."
The night passed, and it was an orange sky in the corner of the east side. The time showed 6:00 am.
Ara woke up, stretched her hands over her head, squeezed her eyes, and yawned.
"What a nice dream!" Her sleepy voice said.
In Do-yun's room, he woke up, stretched his hand over his head, yawned, and stretched his hand to the table to take the phone. But his hand touched the unwashed plate.
He took back his hand quickly as soon as her hand felt something rough. His gaze turned to that side, he took it.
He came out of the room with bare feet and asked, "Who put this here?"
He gave it to Dae-Hyun, who was just coming out of the room. "Hyung, you forget your plate"
He blinked and saw it clearly by coming closer, "Do-Yun"
"Huh," Du-Yun blinked innocently.
"I thought that Hyung took it for washing, but are you the one who took this?"
"I would have given it if you had asked, Why are you giving me this without even washing it?" Dae-Hyun brought it from him.
Do-Yun wrinkled his brows at him and said, "I don't, Hyung."
"Then who finished this?" Dae-Hyun asked.
"I don't," Do-Yun confidently said.
Dae-Seong came out of his room, rubbing his sleepy eyes, and saw them arguing over the plate.
"Did you start your fight early in the morning?" He snatched the plate from Dae-Hyun and walked towards the washbasin, separating them by walking between them.
"I don't," Do-Yun mumbled to Dae-Hyun.
"You are," Dae-Hyun pointed out Do-Yun's chest with raised brows and said it confidently with a husky voice.
At Ara's house, the time was 10 a.m. She was getting ready by combing her bangs in front of the mirror, getting changed into a long white dress that was sleeveless, and wrapping her visible arms and half shoulder with a jacket.
She took the money gently and went out of the house.
She was walking along the street, waiting at the bus stop in the morning.
As the cold wind passed through her, her long hair waved with the wind, and her bangs split up from her forehead vertex, which lay beside her eyebrows.
Even though she shone in that dress and her hair, her white shoes demolished her whole dressing sense.
The bus arrived there, and she got on the bus. She traveled for half an hour.
Then she got off the bus and walked along the roadway.
At the time, she noticed a man walking in front of her. He got a call, but it took him a few seconds to answer the call.
She took her steps slowly after noticing him hesitating to answer the call.
She tried to peek at the phone when he was holding it for a second. It was a girl's name.
"Hello, I'm busy right now."
"I'll talk later," he said and hung up quickly.
Her eyes wrinkle with suspicion. So, she walked at the same speed as his.
He sat at the nearby table, which was on the roadside cafe when they reached the zebra crossing side.
She passed him while keeping an eye on him and stood near the street light like she was waiting for the walk signal.
He took his phone back and chatted with someone else with his blooming smile.
She twisted her lips and said, "All boys are the same."
"Liar," she snorted and crossed the road without checking the signal.
She kept mumbling, "There was another girl like me who got cheated on."
"Why do we fall for liars?"
"shit guys!" Her legs were stuck, and she realized that she was standing in the middle of the busy road as soon as she stopped mumbling.
She struggled to cross the half-road as the vehicle's horn sound collapsed her concentration on checking the vehicle's way.
After many battles with her feet, she reached the other side of the road successfully, breathing heavily.
She looked back at the busy road, inhaled and exhaled with relaxation, and her eyes met that man casually.
He was smirking at her. So, she covered her embarrassed face by lifting her jacket a little bit more and kept walking straight.
Now she was standing in front of two textiles, one of which was bigger with four floors and was arranged beautifully to capture people's attention. And the other one was a small textile store like her small bookstore.
She looked wonderingly at the big textile and gave a weird look to that small one.
"I'm not that worth it," she said, staring at the big one while walking towards the small store.
"Welcome, mam!" A middle-aged lady welcomed her.
She hesitantly smiled and asked for the party wear section.
She led the way and showed her a few dresses with wonderful colors.
Ara picked a red leather gown over the green one. She loved it at first sight.
"I love this one." She gloated and smiled at the mirror while putting it on her body.
"It's only 40,000 won, Mam," she said.
Ara lost her blinking and checked her money.
"If I purchase it, I can't eat for a week," she mumbled at her purse.
She kept thinking for a minute and said okay to her.
She was coming out with a depressed look and getting on the coming bus.
She got off one stop before hers.
She took a deep breath, released it confidently, and said while entering the small restaurant, "Let's have fun for this time only!"
Those people are so noisy, and the seats were arranged at such a distance that two people could only walk through that.
She ordered immediately, as soon as she sat down.
She ordered fewer foods that were enough for her stomach.
At the time, a couple was passing her with their hands in their pockets.
Her excited eyebrows went down in a second, thinking about her loved one.
Her grieving eyes kept looking at them until they went out.
The server gave her food.
Her excitement came back, and she started to have a good bite of it.
Meanwhile, a group of four boys entered the restaurant with noisy steps. She looked at them casually while she downed a bite.
She straightened up again immediately as she recognized them.
Her eyes recognized one of the young handsome men among them, having silky hair and little big eyes with milky lips.
She bent down and went under the table as soon as she saw him.
Her face was wrinkled with quizzical eyes. She howled, "When has he returned from Gangnam?"
Her eyes saw their feet pass her seat. Then, her hand peeked from under the table and took the phone and her bags. She put some money on the table and started crawling out of it, and she kept checking back to see if they noticed her or not.
Because of the crowd in the restaurant, she can't be caught by them.
She kept crawling. At the time, a woman stepped on her hands, and she shouted silently with her mouth covered, making a wailing face without sound.
That woman's worried eyes looked down quickly and she apologized by trying to get up. But Ara said it with hidden pain, "It's okay."
Ara whined after that woman looked straight up at her table. She checked back at him once and crawled forward.
A server boy's knee pumped on her head, and the food and drinks were poured onto her jacket. Her hair also got wet on one side.
She sighed disappointedly with a lined mouth and got shocked at the same time when she looked at her new dress, which got soaked from the drinks.
She looked up at the server boy slowly with lowered eyebrows, and she was about to cry, "Won't you just look down while walking?" He looked at her, worried.
She waved her hand to tell him to move away when he bent down to help her.
After he moved away, she crawled fast and came out of the restaurant, looking back at him once and standing up to move forward.
He accidentally saw her while she was passing the restaurant. She was visible through the glass window.
He looked at her but couldn't identify her. So, he drank water casually while nodding to his boys and switching his gaze to them.
