Whisper of the fate

The moon sparkled brilliantly, adding to the beauty of the warm night. Illuminating the darkness, nine years old Bianca raced through the woods, desperate to escape the relentless pursuit of a ferocious boar.

" What the hell am clearly a kid myself, I can't satisfy your hunger"

" O lord! Help me out these once "

" You can't afford to lose a gem like me" Bianca said shameless as she continue running. She spotted a hole and quickly hide in it. Just when she thought she had outsmarted the beast, it let out a bloodcurdling snarl, sending shivers down her spine. With every step, the danger seemed to loom closer, and Bianca's heart pounded with fear.

Darting into a narrow crevice, Bianca held her breath, hoping the creature wouldn't find her hiding spot.

Seeing it's prey has disappeared, the boar left dejectedly.As the sound of the boar's heavy footsteps faded into the distance, she dared to peek out and only came out of the hole when she felt safe.

With the threat temporarily averted, Bianca emerged from her hiding place. She was clearly hungry, as evidenced by her growling tummy. She thought that packing some stone and tying it to her stomach would help her overcome her hunger, but sadly, it didn't. Bianca continued her quest, luckily she found a squirrel not quite far from where she stayed, so she set up a trap and fled as soon as she had lured and trapped it. Excited, she returned to her run-down hut with only a mat, a solitary pot, a dish, a spoon, and a little jar as her sole possessions. She quickly built a fire, cleaned the squirrel, and cooked it, adding various kinds of spicy food that she could find, Which serves as her ingredients,after the food was done, she serve herself. Even though the door was useless, after eating, she still thought it would be wiser to lock it before going to bed.

The following morning, Bianca got up at the sound of a bird crow, signaling her hour, and got dressed before heading outside to beg for food. A sign that said "a maid needed" caught her attention as she was traveling. She contemplate whether to go in or not she was afraid of being rejected but she still made up her mind "if am rejected,at least I tried my best" Bianca thought to herself and move on to the house, when she knocked on the door of the residence in search of a maid, a woman's voice could be heard on the other end.

The woman on the other end said, "come in."

As Bianca walked in, she noticed a plump, unremarkable-looking woman with a "don't mess with me" facial expression. The woman treated her with contempt, assuming that she was begging for money or food.

"Go to the corner, you will see some leftover; grab it and get the hell out of my store," the woman angrily yelled at her. The woman yelled at Bianca, who was shivering. Despite this, she bravely though initially stuttering.

Bianca addressed the woman, saying, "Um...erm ma am not here to beg, I saw your signboard and I thought of applying."

"What nonsense are you talking about, you want to work here,are you daydreaming, with what strength do you want to start with?" the woman exclaimed, breaking into a fit of laughter.

"Ma am serious," Bianca retorted firmly.

"Go on, how are you going to work with your fragile body, am listening and I also want to know why I should allow a begger in my store" said the woman.

"Ma I can help with the dishes, wash the plate and clothes in fact am good at any house chores" said Bianca.

The woman felt sorry for Bianca, but she soon put on a pretentious look. Bianca notices the shifts in the woman's expression. Inside, she was grinning. Because of what she has experienced, she was able to read the woman's expressions. Whenever she begs for food, some people are happy to help, some are disgusted, and so on.

"Child, where are your parents and why do you want to work here?" the woman asks in a gentle tone as she begins to soften a little.

"I am an orphan," Bianca retorted, adding, "all I need is a place to sleep and food."

The woman is incredibly sympathetic to Bianca.

"All right, you're hired," the woman informed her. Stunned, Bianca tried to think of how to respond. The woman began to like Bianca more after observing how she was responding to this.

"Sarah" the woman called out a slender, average-looking lady who was no older than sixteen and was carrying a tape measure. Despite her silence, Bianca remained perplexed as to why the woman had called this lady out.

"I want to know if there will be any delays, so measure the girl and have her gown ready by tomorrow morning. The woman asked the young girl, "Do you understand?" The woman added

"Yes, ma, there won't be delay, everything will be ready before tomorrow morning" Sarah answered.

Bianca didn't realize that the woman had called Sarah out to take her measurements until now." Really, I will be wearing a uniform" she exclaimed, beaming, as Bianca thought to herself.

The woman said to Bianca, "You can resume to work as soon as possible."

"Yes ma," Bianca joyfully replied.

The woman said, "Okay, you can go. Wait, what's your name?"

"Bianca ma," Bianca quickly answered.

The woman chuckle lightly at how Bianca was reacting

"Alright, see you then tomorrow," the woman said.

"Yes, ma" Bianca answered.

she ran back home happily. The day flew by, and before long it was nighttime. Bianca went hunting for her dinner, not caring if she caught any prey or not because she was too happy to care. She caught some crickets and fished the river for fish, and after processing everything, she was satisfied. Considering the start of her new life, she couldn't bring herself to close her eyes but eventually gave in to exhaustion.

Due to her sleeping early, Bianca woke up early, tidy up herself, put on one of her rags she has, at least the one that appears nice out of all. She arrived at her to be working place, it was too early when she got there,so she had to wait for a while, she wasn't bother about the time but very nervous about how to start her day.

" This will be my first job" Bianca murmur to herself cheerfully

Sarah arrived first, her eyes widening in surprise at Bianca's early presence. "You came so early," she remarked, impressed by Bianca's punctuality.

Bianca, feeling the weight of her little white lie, merely nodded in response. Sarah led her inside and gestured for Bianca to take a seat while she fetched a uniform and food. "I can see you left home early without eating," Sarah observed with a chuckle, but Bianca insisted she was fine.

"Ok, go and get ready, time is not by our side" Sarah urge her

"Maam" Bianca called

"Yes" Sarah replied

" Ma what about the big boss" Bianca asked timidly.

" Oh you mean the woman who hired you yesterday, Mrs Sharon,she won't be coming today she has her things to take care off" Sarah replied

" Ma what......" Bianca wanted to ask more questions but was cut off by Sarah " no more questions, go and get ready to start your work, all what you need is in your room" with that Sarah left Bianca

As Sarah left to attend to other tasks, she instructed Bianca to tidy up in room number 13, her new quarters. With unanswered questions swirling in her mind, Bianca obediently headed to her room to prepare for the day ahead.

After dressing and eating, Bianca observed other girls arriving in similar uniforms. she was somehow excited since this was her first job.

" I guess this is the uniform given to everyone" Bianca thought

Most of the girls who came in were either her age mate or slightly older but are not as fragile as she was, only few are already close to lady Sarah age.

Not quite long,a bell rang. Bianca saw each girls forming a que, Sensing a camaraderie among them, she joined the assembly line, Bianca who was excited to see what happens next, was pushed to the back of the line, she could only tiptoe since she is very short, waiting for instructions from Sarah

hanging who has a lot of questions to ask.

" Alright everyone listen up, as you can see we have a new member here, let's invite her here to give us an introduction about herself" Sarah said and guesturing Bianca to come over. Bianca replied by nodding,then walk up to her, standing by her side and facing the crowd, Bianca was nervous.

As Sarah called attendance and introduced Bianca to the group, laughter and whispers filled the hall. Bianca's nerves intensified,

" What is Mrs Sharon and lady Sarah thinking, bringing a chicken in to work here" bickering and laughter fill the whole hall. Bianca was seen shivering.

"Shut up" Sarah's command silenced the room, allowing Bianca to deliver her introduction." go on"

Seeing how everyone is silent makes Bianca less nervous

" Um...ermm ermm,I am Bianca,am nine years old, am also an orphan,I will be joining you guys now,I hope to learn more from you" Bianca said stuttering initially.

Hearing her introduction some look at her with pity while some sneer, not believing her.

However, skepticism and judgment lingered in the air as Bianca shared her story. Despite her efforts to connect with her peers, she felt isolated and uncertain.

After the introduction, Sarah instructed them to get ready for today's work and everyone disperse to their respective room to get ready.

Getting to her room, Bianca met a girl who is not more than two years older than her.

" Hi" Bianca greeted, but the girl ignore her and pass by her even bumping on her. Coming out she saw everyone busy not knowing what to do, she kept walking around.

"Hi" a girl of her age greeted her

"Hi" Bianca replied

"Isabella" tht girl said to Bianca

"Bianca" she replied

" Everyone knows your name already, I can see you don't know where to start from, come with me am also a newcomer like you,I just came a month ago,all newcomer are to make the whole house clean, that is our job, let's go and start our work before the representative arrive" Isabella said. Not quite understanding her last statement Bianca still follow her. Getting to the hall where they are to work, Bianca saw her roommate sitting on a chair like a leader instructing others on what to do, wanting to ask question from Isabella she heard are exclaimed.

" Oh no we are dead, the rep is here already" said Isabella.

"Rep?" Bianca asked not quite getting

" Shh .... don't let her hear us, Carl is the representative for newcomer's because she arrived early, we have to listen to her" Isabella explained

" Oh..." Before Bianca could ask more questions she heard Carl calling to the two of them which they responded by walking to her.

" How free are you two to have the time to gossip especially you newcomer, since you have nothing to do, let me help you out" Carl said. Seeing the wicked smile on Carl face both Bianca and Isabella has a bad premonition about what will happen next. Pointing to a hill of plates, Carl said to them " Have been looking for who will help me with this, God sent you guys to me, help me in washing it" Carl said to them, and walk away smiling wickedly.

" I know she will do this seeing her smiling like a witch" Isabella growl, but Bianca doesn't mind since this was her first time..

Time passed quickly Bianca warily reached the age of sixteen, her life was not that easy. Due to Mrs Sharon and lady Sarah care for her,it leads to jealousy among her colleagues and her roommate who is also a representative of her job making her life a "living hell".

Today was a day, they will be assigned to their various bases, where they are to work from today's henceforth. Some of them are anxious while some of them are nervous. Now faced with the prospect of new assignments, Bianca's anxiety reached its peak. Unsure of what awaited her, she braced herself for the unknown, wondering if her new boss would bring relief or further torment.

The priest's words hang heavy in the air, echoing with the weight of destiny

" Please elaborate,is the Luna a werewolf also" Luna Sandra seeks further understanding.

"I don't know, the Luna may be a werewolf, witch or even a human" Yet, the priest's enigmatic response only deepens the mystery surrounding the prophesied Luna, leaving the pack leaders grappling with the unknown. the priest could only continue after receiving a stare from the room.

" Am just saying, but it will be best if you look into the human also" the priest added and continue " the two princes are to look for the Luna,the chosen one by the Luna will be the future alpha king"receiving another stare, but from the person he never expected the Luna who was always gentle making him shivers "what! have I said something wrong" the priest thought.

"Ok" the alpha king said helping him out from the killing stare of the Luna

"phew.. that was so closed" the priest sigh in relief.

With the fate of the werewolves hanging in the balance, Alpha King Alex makes a decisive decree, assigning his sons Kelvin and Fredric to a perilous quest.

" Kelvin you are twenty and Fredric you are already seventeen, you guys are no more a kids,as you heard the priest, you are responsible in finding the Luna " the alpha king said to his sons, seeing them digest his words he continues" one of you will go to the human world while the other will go to the witches, you will have to run our business over there, that will be the cover up to avoid revealing our plans to the enemies and you are also to bring your chosen bride along, any objections" the alpha king asked.

"No sir" the princes replied in unison.

Without giving them room to think " I need your reply now " said the alpha king.

" I will go to the witches " kelvin said

With a dangerous aura the king asked" why do you choose the witches "

" Simple.. I find the human very weak,I don't see why the Luna will be born among those weak creatures " kelvin replied

"Ok since you choose the witches, Fredric you are to go to the human world, since everything is settled does anyone has an objection " the alpha king asked

But as the implications of their mission sink in, Luna Sandra voices her apprehension, fearing for their safety in the face of unseen dangers.

" Kelvin is too young to go to the witches, he doesn't know what he was saying neither Fredric can go alone to the human world, have you forgotten that the witches are our greatest enemy and they can also be in the human world " Luna Sandra said panicking and continue "why don't we send some of our men as representative,they are well trained " Luna Sandra suggested

" Woman are you trying to revoke my order, it has been settled and no more objection, everyone is dismiss" the king said walking out angrily.

"Micheal to my office " the king called his beta. In the office.

" Michael I want you to escort Fredric, he is too young for all these, kelvin is already an adult,he can take of himself" the alpha spoke to Michael in a gentle voice, different from how he spoke in the conference room. Michael was the alpha childhood friend and also his beta, he knows that the alpha only put on facade to intimate others but under that facade lies a gentle soul.

"( Sign ) ok, but promise me you will take good care of yourself when am gone" Michael asked receiving a wave from the alpha indicating him to leave.

Alpha Tyler cough, trying to end the mother and daughter duo

" Woman, what are you trying to teach my daughter,if someone were to report you to the king, I think your head will be removed from your body " alpha Tyler said

" What can't I advise my daughter anymore, and when is she your daughter only " Laura retorted

Shaking his head, Tyler said to Jessica.

" Be careful on your way and don't mind what your mother said"

" Dad, don't be stressed out, Mom is just looking out for me " Jessica said

" Ok I know am the third wheel, anyway hope you did not forgot anything" he asked and Jessica nodded

" Good, let's go" alpha Tyler said and they both walk to the chauffeur and left for the palace.

Sarah was seen appointing each of the employees to their various master.

" Bianca you and Carl, to the George mansion " Sarah said

"Wow, how lucky " "why can't it be me " "how I wish I was the one appointed there" "------" jealousy fill up the room, but Bianca was not feeling that good about the news, before she can think further she heard Sarah.

" All of you have an hour to get ready, your chauffeur will be here soon, you are dismiss" Sarah said to the room.

while everyone is busy Bianca walk up to Sarah

" Lady Sarah " Bianca called.

" Yes, Bianca how can I help you " Sarah said

" Ermm.,.... Ma can I change where to go, like switching with others " Bianca asked nervously.

" No! You can't " Sarah said

" Ermm... Ma can you.." Bianca wanted to plead, but was cut off by Sarah harshly.

" No more excuses, it has been decided already " Sarah said and continue in a more gentle voice " Bianca you are now an adult, learn how to be confident in your self ignite the fire in you, don't allow others to make you as a stepping stones, you have to learn to be dependent" with that said Sarah left Bianca with a smile. As she was thinking of how she will overcome the fear in her, she heard her name, turning around she saw Isabella, smiling she waved to her.

" What are you daydreaming about, let's go and pack your load, have packed mine " Isabella said not giving her a chance to reply, she dragged Bianca to her room. After helping her, they both chatted a little, when it was almost time, Isabella suddenly hug Bianca.

" (Sob) ..... ( Sob) I will miss you " Isabella said crying. Suppressing her tears Bianca coax Isabella.

" Is ok, we will meet again in the future" Bianca said.

She has been in a bad moon since she heard about being appointment with Carl and how she will be alone again, Bianca burst into crying not able to suppress the cry anymore, now it was Isabella turn to coax her.

" Shhh..shhh is ok, have stopped crying why are you still crying " Isabella continue coaxing Bianca until she is calmed.

" Ok let's go back to business, you have to be careful around Carl, never loose your guard, do you understand " Isabella warned receiving a nod from Bianca. As they continue pointing out their weak point there heard the bell, signaling them it was time to disperse. Bianca and Isabella parted ways reluctantly. In the car, having nothing to do, Bianca brought out her diary and start writing while Carl keep touching her makeup until they arrive at their destination. What appears in front of the two ladies was a big mansion having different thought,

" Wow I get to work here, I need to brag about these" Carl thought happily

" (Sigh) I hope everything will be ok here" Bianca thought

Michael keep explaining to Fredric on what to do when he get to the human world

" Remember, no matter what, you must always stay in your human form" Michael warned

" I think this will be the 99th time I heard this uncle" Fredric said and continue " and why is Jessica moving to my apartment, she will be an hindrance to my living" Fredric complained

"( Sigh ) Fredric I know you don't like Jessica, but she is your chosen mate, she has to keep you company, and moreover you have to keep her company most of the time, to avoid revealing our plans to the enemies" Michael warned. Fredric growl angrily not wanting to reply.

" Do you understand me?" Michael asked

" Fine, don't be a chicken mother, I heard you already" Fredric replied.

" Good, so now getting there you will be the CEO of the Howard enterprises, I will be your assistant and I need you to call me by my name not uncle. Jessica is taking part in the movie industry which is also under the Howard enterprises, I need you to visit her once in a while............." Michael explained everything he needs to know to him receiving a nod. Passing a black and gold mask to Fredric making him puzzled

" I know you will be thinking what is the mask for? " Michael asked not receiving replies he continue " The mask will serves as disguise from our enemy, or do you want everyone to start gossiping about the handsome CEO of Howard enterprises? No! So that is the reason why the mask is necessary " Michael said

Arriving at the human world, in Jessica car, she was chatting with her best friend although she was a maid .

Arriving at the mansion, Bianca,Carl and some other newcomer were lead to the maid quarters by a senior maid, getting to their various rooms, a uniform was placed on their beds, the room is not that spacious but was ok for a single person.

Before they enter and the senior maid said to them.

" Get dressed and come to the maid hall immediately you heard the bell" the senior maid said to them, then leave them alone to get used to their rooms. Getting to her room Bianca was satisfied with her's but is not the case for Carl, scanning the room in distain, Carl murmur to herself " is just a matter of time, the master bedroom will be mine". Not quite long the sound of bell was heard signalling for every maids to head to the maid hall. All maids dressed in a sky blue shirt and a red trousers walked to the hall.

Getting to the hall, the newcomer's saw a woman dressing different from others indicating her high rank, to their understanding they learn the woman was the head of maids. The woman, with a strict expression instructed them and warned

" you newcommer's, with all the tutelage you learn from your previous work area I think I expected no mistakes from you" the woman said and continue " as you know the boss and his fiance will be arriving today and they will be here in a minute, within thirty seconds I want you on a que" the newcomer's saw the senior maids forming a que in both sides so they follow their leads.

A limousine sped into the compound stopping at the end of the que. Alighting from the car was a tall handsome guy with a mask, making the maids to blush even the male maid gasps, before recovering from their shock, they saw a beauty walking to the handsome guy.
