When My Car Became His Prize

Author: : Immanuel Caspar
Genre: Billionaires
As a successful tech CEO, my custom-ordered Lucid Air Sapphire was finally ready after a year on the waitlist. It was my personal reward, a symbol of my hard-earned success, something truly mine. But then the dealership called, and my world tilted: my car had already been picked up. Not by me, but by Olivia, my COO and my girlfriend of seven years, who claimed it was a "company executive vehicle" for InnovateLife. Minutes later, her assistant, Liam, was grinning on Instagram, posing with *my* car, thanking Olivia for the "company ride." Olivia simply brushed it off, casually saying I had "so many cars" anyway, ignoring my feelings. But it wasn't just the car. Then I discovered Liam was not only driving my car but wearing my luxury undershirts and briefs, seemingly gifted by Olivia, who again trivialized my outrage. The ultimate, gut-wrenching blow came with a hidden blog, revealing Liam's four-year plot to manipulate Olivia and systematically undermine me, climaxing with a possessive photo of Olivia asleep on *his* couch, captioned "My queen." My world shattered. Was Olivia truly this blind, or had she, my girlfriend of seven years, knowingly allowed this calculated betrayal to unfold, calling Liam her "real partner" while giving away pieces of *my* life? The sickening realization hit me: this wasn't just betrayal; it was a carefully executed take-down from within my own home, orchestrated by the man she called her partner. I wouldn't wait to be dismantled. I resigned from InnovateLife, secured my interests, and decided to expose the truth. As her tear-streaked face pleaded with me at the airport, Liam's secret blog on my phone flashed her own damning words, finally shattering her denial and revealing the full extent of his manipulation. I walked away, leaving Austin and her behind, ready to reclaim my life.

Introduction

As a successful tech CEO, my custom-ordered Lucid Air Sapphire was finally ready after a year on the waitlist.

It was my personal reward, a symbol of my hard-earned success, something truly mine.

But then the dealership called, and my world tilted: my car had already been picked up.

Not by me, but by Olivia, my COO and my girlfriend of seven years, who claimed it was a "company executive vehicle" for InnovateLife.

Minutes later, her assistant, Liam, was grinning on Instagram, posing with *my* car, thanking Olivia for the "company ride."

Olivia simply brushed it off, casually saying I had "so many cars" anyway, ignoring my feelings.

But it wasn't just the car.

Then I discovered Liam was not only driving my car but wearing my luxury undershirts and briefs, seemingly gifted by Olivia, who again trivialized my outrage.

The ultimate, gut-wrenching blow came with a hidden blog, revealing Liam's four-year plot to manipulate Olivia and systematically undermine me, climaxing with a possessive photo of Olivia asleep on *his* couch, captioned "My queen."

My world shattered.

Chapter 1

The Lucid dealership was supposed to call today.

Any minute now.

My Lucid Air Sapphire, obsidian black with the Mojave dark interior.

A year on the waitlist.

My personal reward for the latest funding round our Austin tech startup, InnovateLife, just closed.

I glanced at the time on my monitor. 3:00 PM.

They usually called by now.

My phone buzzed. Not the dealership's number.

It was Mike, my sales guy, his personal cell.

"Ethan, hey. Something a little unusual."

His voice sounded tight.

"What's up, Mike? Is the Sapphire ready for pickup?"

A pause.

"Well, it's... it's already been picked up, Ethan."

I frowned. "Picked up? By who? I didn't authorize anyone."

"Olivia Vance. She came in about an hour ago. Said it was a new executive vehicle for InnovateLife. Had all the company paperwork."

Olivia.

My Olivia? My COO, my girlfriend of seven years.

"A company car? Mike, that was my personal order. My spec."

"I know, Ethan. That's why I'm calling you. It felt... off. She was with her assistant, Liam Miller. He drove it off the lot."

Liam.

A cold knot formed in my stomach.

I hung up, a metallic taste in my mouth.

My fingers fumbled, opening Instagram.

Liam Miller's profile. Public.

The latest post, uploaded ten minutes ago.

A picture. Him, grinning, leaning against *my* Lucid Air Sapphire.

The obsidian black paint gleamed under the Texas sun.

The caption: "Feeling incredibly grateful! Our amazing COO, Olivia Vance, believes in rewarding hard work. This new company ride is a dream! #InnovateLife #BestBoss #LucidAirSapphire #Blessed."

My jaw tightened.

The car I'd dreamed about, researched for months, waited a year for.

Gifted. To him.

Like a damn office perk.

I remembered Olivia's words from last week's dinner.

"We need to show our key people they're valued, Ethan. Especially Liam. He's indispensable."

I thought she meant a bonus. A promotion.

Not my car.

Not the one thing I'd bought purely for myself in years.

The expectation I'd carried all day, the quiet excitement, crashed.

It wasn't just the car.

It was the casual disrespect. The assumption.

She didn't even ask.

My phone buzzed again. A calendar reminder.

"Dinner with Olivia – 7 PM, Uchi."

I stared at it.

Then I picked up my phone and called my father's head of security in New York.

"Tony," I said. "I need a favor. A big one. In Austin. Tonight."

Chapter 2 Chapter 2

An hour later, the quiet cul-de-sac where Olivia's modern Austin bungalow sat was no longer quiet.

Seven flatbed trucks idled, their lights flashing.

One by one, they unloaded their cargo onto her manicured lawn and driveway.

My Ferrari SF90 Stradale.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

A Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

My vintage Aston Martin DB5.

The McLaren 765LT.

A Rolls-Royce Ghost, for good measure.

And finally, the rugged Mercedes-AMG G63.

Each one pristine, gleaming under the streetlights.

Neighbors peeked through their blinds.

I stood across the street, arms crossed, watching.

My phone rang. My father.

"Ethan? Tony just called me. Said you're having some kind of automotive exhibition in Texas. Care to explain why my security chief is moonlighting as a valet for your temper tantrum?"

His voice was dry, amused. Typical.

"Just clearing out the garage, Dad. Making space."

"Right. Well, while you're 'making space,' I've arranged that meeting you've been dodging. Chloe Davenport. Her family's big in venture capital, new energy. Next Tuesday, New York. Don't be late."

Chloe Davenport. Another of his matchmaking attempts.

"I'll think about it," I said, noncommittal.

"You'll be there." He hung up.

Headlights turned onto the street.

The silent, sleek profile of the Lucid Air Sapphire.

It pulled into Olivia's driveway, navigating carefully around my collection.

Liam got out of the driver's side, a smug look on his face.

He opened the passenger door for Olivia.

She stepped out, saw the assembled horsepower, and froze.

Her eyes, wide, found me across the street.

I walked over.

Liam stepped in front of her, a protective gesture that made me want to laugh.

"Ethan, what is all this?" Olivia's voice was sharp.

"Just some of my other cars," I said, my voice calm. "Since you're in a giving mood, I figured Liam might want a choice. Or you could gift one to every employee. Spread the love."

Liam paled slightly. "Mr. Hayes, I..."

"The Lucid," I said, looking past him at Olivia. "You knew that was my personal order."

"Don't be dramatic, Ethan," she said, her composure returning. "It's just a car. We needed a presentable vehicle for client meetings, and Liam does so much driving for me."

She ran a hand through her hair. "You have so many. I didn't think you'd mind one less."

"I mind," I said, my voice flat. "I mind that you took something that was mine, without asking, and gave it away."

I turned to Liam. "Enjoying the Sapphire, Miller?"

He swallowed. "It's... a very nice car, Mr. Hayes."

"Good. Keep it. Consider it a severance gift."

Olivia gasped. "Ethan!"

"Or," I continued, gesturing to the array of supercars. "Pick another. Any one of these. My treat. Just so we're clear on who's actually footing the bill for your boss's generosity."

Liam looked like he wanted the earth to swallow him.

Olivia's face was flushed with anger. "How dare you?"

"How dare *I*?" I almost laughed. "You're the one who stole my car, Olivia."
