Chapter 1 Prologue

That being said, here are feelings that come with loving someone whilst they are far away: It can make you feel sad and alone, like a part of your being is gone. It's life with that one true person you love, joy and a twinge of sorrow at heart. It is a sensation somewhere between melancholy and joy - that sense of two emotions stirring inside your chest at once. The distance might make you even more longing for their presence, make a feeling of hollowness despite all the love. And the ache of missing them tugs at your heart softly, reminding you that there is a space between us.

The bittersweet blend results in feelings of warmth and chill that can feel like light and dark shades reflected back at your love.

In a timid manner, she declared, "Oh God! No princess, your lady is all yours. And...I have mine already," while displaying the photograph of Catalina that was now contained within her wallet.

When Dianna slaps Madeline's biceps, Madeline is filled with a sense of amusement. "You moron! You're girlfriends?"

"Yes, we are. She is my life," she admitted when asked about it.

"What? When? Then why are you acting like strangers at Bradly's house?"

Madeline disclosed to her in an open and honest manner all that had occurred in the past. Dianna was still unable to believe everything that had happened. However, she is relieved beyond measure that Patricia is mistaken because Madeline does not have feelings for Hilary.

"You should've told me about it earlier, Madz; we can make her visit here, and you two could stay at my place and then spend some time together. Or we could visit her to Lunaris and ask Oppa's help." Dianna offered to make Madeline's heart feel warm.

"Yeah, I should have, but I'm afraid we can't do the latter part; you know, her father strictly instructed me to finish the job first before I can have her. And I can wait, but I can't also deny that I miss her every day." Dianna felt sad; she thought that if Madeline wasn't put on a mission to protect her, then she could've been with Catalina now.

"I'm sorry, Madz, but because of me, you have to stay away from her," Madeline said with a grin.

However, I'd like to express my gratitude to you because, if I hadn't been sent to get you, Catalina and I would have been.

Dianna simply smiled at her and said, "Remaining in hiding and running away."

Madeline is overcome with emotion as she embraces Dianna, feeling grateful for the princess's generosity. "Don't worry, bud, I'll help you. We'll do the first plan." Madeline feels compelled to hug Dianna.

She retreated from the embrace and murmured, "Thank you, Lis; I owe you this one," as she thanked her.

"Remember, Dianna, nobody should know about you and your title. Have you told this about anyone?" Madeline inquired further.

Madeline was apprehensive, but Dianna reassured her that everything would be okay. "Patricia knows, because she caught me," Madeline said.

"We can't add more people to know about this, Lis, not even Hilary," Dianna accepts and agrees with her. "We can't even add Hilary."

Madeline reached out to the other knights who were observing Dianna's whereabouts and asked, "You think I can go home now, Madz?"

Madeline takes the keys to her car and says, "I think it's safe now; they were gone. But just to make sure, I'll bring you home," at which point Dianna nods her head.

While Dianna was waiting for Madeline to finish what she was doing inside her room, she by accident glanced at the clock that was sitting on top of the table. Dianna was unaware of the time at the time.

At twelve, she saw the arrows pointing in both directions, and she immediately realized that she was dead.

"Shit! I forgot about Hilary!"

It is important to note that

Chapter 2 1

The store is still open for the employees that work closer to the door, even though it is 11:30. Prior to the store's closure at twelve o'clock, they were the ones who were tasked with conducting the cleaning duties. I am currently waiting for Dianna due to the fact that my shift ended thirty minutes ago. I tried to reach her, but her phone cannot be reached.

Hello there! Aren't you going to go back home? Thomas had a question. The tables were his responsibility as a worker here, and he was assigned to them. The first day of my new job has been going quite well so far; my employer is very kind to us, and I've made several wonderful friends, including Thomas.

"I just have to wait for my girlfriend; she's fetching me." It was clear to me that he was in a state of shock. Dianna's behavior changed whenever Madeline was brought up in discussion, which led me to discover that she was readily influenced by jealousy. I discovered this when we got together.

Because I love her and I don't want us to argue, I don't want to give her any information that could cause her to have doubts. These new people ought to be aware of the fact that I am currently involved in a romantic connection with a female as soon as possible.

What's up? What are you doing? And I am aware of the question that he will ask.

"I really don't like putting labels on myself; it just happened that I fell in love with a woman," I responded with nothing else. One of the staff who is closest to me, Thomas, did not ask me again and went back to the kitchen.

There have been minutes that have gone, and Dianna is still not present. Is she still around? If she does fall asleep, I will be aware of it because she is currently in the company of Tiff and my cousin.

In ten more minutes, it will be 11:50; ten more minutes after that, the store will close, which means that I will have to wait outside at that time.

I made the decision to call Tiff, and when she eventually picked up the phone, she informed me that Dianna is not present with them.

So, where exactly is she?

At this point, it is already twelve o'clock, and the remaining staff members are beginning to leave for the day. I got to my feet and made the decision to wait outside because I wouldn't have any other option. All I can do is hope that Dianna will arrive very soon.

In the next moment, I witnessed Thomas leaving the location while holding the keys in his hand. Therefore, he will be the one to provide the lock on the store. He noticed me after the store had closed for the day.

"Oh, Hilary! What, you're still around?" As he approaches me, he walks.

My response to him was, "Yeah, Dianna is a little bit late."

He then proceeded to say, "So, Dianna is the name," and I nodded in agreement. I do not wish to be impolite, but I do not want Dianna to have a bad thought process in the event that she ever comes at any moment and I am left here chatting to Thomas on my own.

"Aren't you going home?" It was when he was still standing next to me that I inquired.

"I can't leave you here, especially at this hour." When I turned around to face him, I noticed that his hands were tucked away inside his pocket.

It is not a problem, Thomas; in addition, I am certain that Dianna is currently on her way. My response was, "It's really fine," but Thomas shook his head in disagreement.

There is no way that I could ever leave a girl here by herself, Hilary. Alternatively, does it cause you to feel uneasy? I am truly sorry. I was feeling awful about the way I had behaved, so I informed him about it.

No, hey! "I'm sorry, but it's getting late, and you really ought to go home," I shared with him.

"Exactly, it's late, and you need to go home so I can't leave you here." I sighed since I was aware that I would not be able to prevail against him. My watch tells me that it is already 12:20, and I look at it. Not a word was spoken between Thomas and I. I had a strong sense of regret for my acts, and as a result, I made the decision to initiate a conversation with him.

"Thomas?" he asked as he turned his gaze toward me.

Affirmative? What exactly is it?

"Why is the store not open 24/7 like the other shops?" Curiosity led me to inquire. "Since every single worker in this establishment is a student. As a result of the fact that Ms. Daniella is aware of our circumstances, she has decided that she will not give us the opportunity to relax from midnight till dawn. You can see that she is a really kind and compassionate person. Now you understand why all of my coworkers were the same age as me.

I gave him a slight nod, and then we went back to being silent.

Furthermore, in a very short amount of time, an automobile was traveling at such a high speed that it went by us. It came as a complete surprise to me when Thomas suddenly appeared in front of me and wrapped his arms around my overall body.

It was still the case that we were in that position when he made his statement.

It's a cretin! They should not drive at such a high rate of speed; I am currently drenched. After I took a step back from what he had said, he promptly apologized when he noticed that I was becoming uncomfortable.

"No, of course, that is not what I intended. Because the automobile was going so fast, the water sprayed into my jacket, and now it's wet. Look at it! After getting closer to examine it, I discovered that it is, in fact, moist.

Chapter 3 2

Whoa, my goodness! As a result of Thomas catching all of the water that was supposed to be splattered on me, I apologized to him about it. I reached into my bag and got out some tissue paper, which I used to remove the water from his hair.

"Hilary!" My attention was drawn away from the task at hand when I became aware of a voice. Dianna was approaching me at a rapid pace when I twisted my head to see in the direction of the voice.

"Dianna!" Her pulling and dragging me away from him caused me to let out a gasp. The opportunity to express my gratitude and say my goodbyes was not even afforded to me.

"Move over, Dianna! "Ouch," she says, her grasp being excessively firm. Despite this, she continues to walk, and I find myself being dragged along by her. When we finally make it inside the building, the security guard watches us. Even though he attempted to stop us, I told him that it was okay.

I was carried to the elevator, and she pressed the floor number for me inside. My attempts to free myself from her clutches were unsuccessful, and Dianna did not pay attention to my complaints.

What I said was, "Dianna, please, it hurts," and I was on the verge of sobbing because her hold was growing closer on me.

Upon our arrival at their place, she promptly shut the door and compelled me to take a seat there on the sofa.

I noticed that she did not speak when she let go of my hand, and I noticed that it had left a mark. Despite the fact that I don't want to cry, I have the impression that I'm speaking to a different Dianna right now.

When a hand prevents me from completing something, I massage my wrist to alleviate the agony that I am experiencing. I turned my back on her, and I noticed distress in her eyes.

Even when she applied some ointment to it, she continued to avoid talking to me. Following the completion of her task, she let out a sigh and began crying.

What exactly did I do?

My arms curled around her, and I pulled her closer to me. I ignored the minor discomfort that she caused me.

"Didi, what's wrong?" I asked her, but Dianna is still crying despite my question. She is still the Dianna that I am familiar with, therefore I couldn't help but feel relieved because it's possible that she didn't intend to do what she did previously.

"I am so sorry, Riri. My deepest apologies." It is the first time that I have ever seen Dianna in such a state, and I am attempting to calm her down by rubbing her hair and tapping her back.

Oh, don't worry about it! "Don't cry right now." It was then that she turned her gaze to me, her sniffles beginning to go away. While I am kissing her on the forehead, I use my thumb to wipe the tears from her eyes.

"You still love me, right?" Laughter came from me. It's impossible to get enough of my sweetheart.

"Of course, and I will never stop loving you," I smiled in response to her grin for me. "I will never stop loving you." Before kissing her on the lips, I cupped her face in my hands.

"I am so sorry, Riri. With a lowering of her head, she remarked, "That was such an idiotic thing for me to do, and now I want to punch myself for that." I adore her much more as a result of this.

It was important to me that she not say anything because I am doing well at the moment. In what seemed like a flash, she eliminated all of the anxiety and uncertainty that I had been experiencing earlier. Please, Lord! Please let Dianna be the one to take the lead.

You know I adore you, right? She gives a slight nod and asks, "But will you promise to control yourself?" Immediately after I kiss her on the forehead, Dianna gives me a bear hug.

"I love you, Hilary, so much," she whispered as she laid her head on my neck and spoke those words.

"I love you more."

His troops were dispersed across the room, and she was kneeling in front of him. Around them, his men were scattered.

It's a straightforward task, but you can't complete it! It's pointless with you! As soon as Daryl slapped her on the face, her mother immediately went towards her.

"Daryl, please!" she cries out to her daughter as she tries to convince the insane person to let her go.

"I'm telling you, Daphne, you should not become involved in this! If she hadn't failed, then that idiotic girl ought to be in my possession by now. Your kid is a complete and utter waste of time. He spoke in a violent manner. He dragged the older woman away from him and allowed her men to drag him out of the room till he eventually left.

She was so terrified of what might happen to her daughter that you could hear her screaming outside. After that, the elderly man knelt down and placed his hand on her chin, causing the young lady to tremble in agony.

"I'm giving you your last and final chance, Margo, and if you mess it up again, you know what will happen to your mom," the young woman shook her head in terror. She hurriedly ran outside and went to her mother, who was crying, as soon as she was released from her punishment.

A. Dianna

Because I can't allow something like that to happen again, I really need to learn how to control my rage. The other night, while we were snuggling together, she shared with me information about the man she was with. The actions I took caused me to feel awful and humiliated; rather than expressing gratitude to him, I gave him the sense that I was impolite. That turned out to be a really poor decision.
