Chapter 1 The prophecy

WRITER'S POV

The prophecy had taken its first step. The little girl had been born and everyone welcomed her with joy.

Her birth had been preached about, it's been awaited and prayed for. Finally she was here to make the world a better place. She was at all cost to be protected.

The king was the happiest calling out for a feast to be held. His princess was here and the whole world was sure to feel his happiness.

"Your majesty". The king's head guard called out and the king shushed him.

Once again he turned back to the royal town crier, giving him a list of names to be added to the invitees.

"My king, it's an urgent____

"For goodness sake Lazarus, what is it?!!". The king clearly had enough of the pestering from the guard.

"It's the Queen my King".

The king's features immediately softened at the mention of his dear wife. The one who has made the event of today possible. He thought he loved his wife before but after today he was sure to be obsessed with her.

"And what about my Queen". He now had a glow to him as he spoke.

The guard now felt bad about what he was going to say next. It was no story how much the king loved the Queen. It was a miracle he let her go into the labor room herself. He had tried to fight his way in but they succeeded in convincing him otherwise. The birth of the baby would only intensify the love he had for her and every one knew that.

The king was now almost getting pissed by Lazarus' hesitancy. He was going to speak up when it dawned on him that Lazarus never stammered. He was never fearful of the king. Respected him? Yes , but he never was a coward before him. He was always one to speak his mind and that was what the king admired most about him.

Standing up abruptly he marched towards the Queen's chamber. She never stayed there as she was always in the king's chamber but due to the event of today she was put there.

"What's going on Zedan". He asked as he came in walking to where the queen was laid with a little smile on her face.

Something wasn't right. Normally her smile would light up a room, the whole world actually. But this one right here wasn't the one he liked. It looked more like she was trying to assure herself and him of something.

"When did you wake up my Queen". He held her hands that now looked thin and pale but he told himself it's probably because she was tired.

"Not long ago My king".

Even her voice sounded different.

Noticing the royal physician hadn't answered his earlier question, he turned back to him with an eyebrow raised.

Clearing his throat the royal physician explained "Your majesty we were prepared for this".

"Prepared for what!?" The king roared.

It was evident what Zedan the royal physician spoke about but the old witch had assured the king and he chose to believe her rather than the stupid words of the written words that had appeared long ago to his forefathers.

It told the tale of his time and the great importance of his daughter. The message had been passed on from generation to generation and he thought it was all some sort of cooked up story till he saw for himself the written words. He blinked and it was all gone so he thought it was a dream or he imagined it.

He had told the Queen about it and she asked that the greatest witch in their land be summoned.

After telling the witch all he saw the night he was in his study on his wall, she had been shocked. Everyone knew of the prophecy and so did she.

She told them they needed to perform an offering to the goddess Riela and so they did. It took 3 days to be done with and for those 3 nights he had no sleep, same as the Queen.

After it was done, the witch had told them to be peaceful as nothing was going to happen and the prophecy had been averted. It should have been clearer to them it wasn't when the next day after the witch had said all she did, she was found dead in her hut. But who would have thought?. The witch was quite old and frail looking and so it was possible the goddess had finally called her to join her up there.

"The prophecy My king".

The king's eyes widened. He was now visibly shaking as he roared "everybody out!!!!".

The maids and guards scattered around the area left in a haste not wanting to be at the receiving end of the king's wrath. Everyone knew King Alman rarely raised his voice but when he did, it wasn't the most pleasant for anybody.

"You!" He quickly stood up blocking the path of the royal physician who had wanted to run away along with the others .

"Do something! Anything! I don't care. Just do something!". The king was now desperate and Zedan knew this. He didn't like seeing his king this way.

The king was never a tyrant. He loved his people dearly and treated them with love and care. He never for once made them feel less. He always listened to their cries and pleas. Zedan didn't understand the reason for this prophecy either. Their beautiful world was peaceful. What danger could possibly be lurking as the prophecy had spoken of?. They were always at peace. No problems whatsoever. Their king loved them and they loved him back equally so where exactly is this trouble it spoke of?. He was brought back when he heard the cry of his beloved king

"Please Zedan". His eyes watered seeing his king like that and even when he knew there was nothing he could do he nodded his head and moved towards the Queen. Even if it took his life, he would do anything willingly for his king's happiness.

"Dark magic" he whispered.

The king, having forgotten all sense of his reasoning at this point nodded frantically. "Do whatever. Please".

Dark Magic had always been forbidden in RAWA. It symbolized a serious threat to whoever was performing it and whoever was around where it took place. The people of RAWA knew this but a desperate man is a man who's lost all notion of what was right or wrong.

"Close your eyes my Queen and give me your hands". Zedan whispered and the Queen did as told weakly, raising her hand to his.

Zedan looked once again questioningly towards his king and received his nod of approval before closing his eyes and chanting the words.

"Heitha zera lyrian cuama rila zua !". He chanted over and over. The lights went off and on till it blew off and the building was now visibly shaking as the king sat down holding on to the Queen's other hand and the bedpost to steady himself. The king looked back up to the physician to see his face now pale and he was bleeding through the nose. He looked back at his dearest wife seeing her still looking pale and wondered why it wasn't working. If anything she looked worse than when he stepped in. But he kept hoping still and closed his eyes saying a silent prayer to the goddess.

"Goddess Riela saprum Naya!!" Zedan pleaded with their goddess.

Even before the whole thing started he had the nagging feeling it might not end well. He could feel the life seep out of him as he begged for the Goddess's mercy and forgiveness for he had sinned.

"Heitha zera lyrian cuama rila zua". He kept chanting till everything stopped.

The king finally opened up his eyes when he could no longer hear the voice or feel the cold air that had begun surrounding him from Zedan's chant. His eyes widened as he saw Zedan now slumped by the side of the bed and in fear he quickly looked over at the queen who now found it hard to keep her eyes open with blood now dripping from her eyes and nose.

"NO!!!!" He roared Patting her cheeks softly.

"Stay awake my dearest" he begged as he watched her smile that breathtaking smile he always loved but this time around he wished she didn't because it meant something else entirely.

"Alman" she called out softly and he went closer to her to hear her properly. "Don't cry," she pleaded. "I don't like it". She coughed

"My Queen I can't" he choked on his tears "I can't do any of it without you" he was now in tears "please don't leave me" he begged clasping both of her hands in his.

The Queen, trying so badly not to cry, mocked "I'm dying and you're the one crying?"

The king found nothing funny about that and instead bursted out in fresh tears.

With as much strength as she could muster she reached out for his face Tracing patterns on it, memorizing it for the afterlife she knew she was going into.

"My only regret right now is not being able to watch you be the best father in the world to our child". Her eyes watered. She really wanted to be the strong one for both of them but it didn't seem possible with the way he looked so shattered.

"And I know you'd do great without me my Lord" she wiped his tears. "You've always been a great king and I have always been a proud wife and Queen to be associated with such a wise man". She started coughing.

The king immediately shushed her as she was about to speak again "you shouldn't talk anymore my love. It's draining you".

He looked to the bed side for water and was about to stand when she held on tightly to him.

"Alman"

The king sat back noticing she was looking very serious now.

"The prophecy" she coughed again "it's real".

He shook his head and she called out again, louder this time

"Alman!". He kept shaking his head. "This is no longer about us my lord. Our daughter". And as if he just remembered he actually had a daughter he started panicking.

"No! No Lyra. She.... She_____

"Calm down my lord" he immediately calmed. She always had the power to make him do whatever she wanted. He was that in love with her.

"You have to protect and care for her. It's already happening but if you can try your best to keep her from it, I'd like that. Please Alman, this is my last wish".

He shook his head crying fresh set of tears again. "I need you Lyra". He begged kissing her eyes as she had now started crying fully too.

"You've never needed me my love". She drew him by the neck and kissed him. He responded back like his life depended on it. Tears fell in between them and entered into their mouths as they continued kissing but they didn't mind. It was a sorrowful moment and even the clouds could agree as the rumble of the thunder echoed through the palace walls.

"Promise me you'll take care of her" She whispered as soon as she broke the kiss.

He looked at her eyes and saw the plea in them. He might not want it to happen but he knew his precious Queen was going to leave and he felt the most useless not being able to save her.

"I promise". He finally said and the Queen let out a small smile as her hands fell from his neck going limp.

"NOOOOOO!!!!!". The king roared lying flat on her chest as he cried for his Love. Inside the palace and outside everyone chanted in unison.

"Tali rien incinera goddess Riela". It was the last chant they could make for their Queen, begging that the goddess takes care of her as she now rests with her.

They all felt the bond break and knew she was gone. And now more than ever, they all believed in the prophecy for it had BEGUN.

Chapter 2 What’s going on !

HARIEL'S POV:

(20 years later)

Tell me something more annoying than a nosy mother who just won't let you be, I'll wait.

I watched as she went through my stuff looking for what I'd wear to my best friend's birthday dinner.

I thought parents were to be much stricter than this?. My parents were quite the opposite. Yes they could be normal parents with all the whole cautioning and all but when my mother starts doing things like this, I really didn't know what to think.

I groaned having had enough "Mom I don't want to go".

The receiving glare I got could have ended my existence if looks could kill.

"Might I remind you that this is your best friend's birthday?" She asked bringing out a lacy strapless black gown that I didn't even know I had.

I had way too much clothes than I could count and I wasn't even the one buying them. On some days I'd wake up to it and my parents would always say they thought it would look nice on me.

This might sound weird but I can't even point out the actual things my parents do for a living but I knew I lived way too comfortably for them to be jobless.

"Rain check??". Hopefully it works for me.

"It's a birthday. You don't rain check birthdays Hariel. Quit being lazy and get ready!".

She left my room afterwards, leaving absolutely no room for argument .

I fell back into my pillow letting out a scream.

******

"Hariel!!!! Ama is here". My mom called out and I quickly wore my cute silver heels. It wasn't so high nor was it so low. I liked it.

"I'm here, I'm here".

Running down the stairs, I missed a step and was about to fall when something held me. I frowned in confusion but continued at a slower pace so as not to actually fall this time around. Thank God for great stamina .

"Careful honey. You could have gotten hurt". My dad said accessing me to look for any injury.

"Daddy nothing happened". I whined as he kept inspecting .

"Well that was because I was here to be your hero".

Knowing fully well my dad loved exaggerating I decided to ignore him thinking of himself as superman.

We were both still arguing if I was fine or not when we heard a high pitched scream.

"Ama" we said in unison laughing as we turned to where she stood with my mom.

"Girl you look gorgeous"

"Not as gorgeous as you do".

Ama had been my best friend since we were kids. She was a super smart, beautiful and bubbly girl and although I was super smart, bubbly not so much.

"You girls are so cute!" My mom gushed while setting up her camera. How in the world did she even get it out so quickly that I didn't even notice

"Mom".

The responding glare I got from her shut me up so fast. Ama was quick to get into position as she'd always loved pictures. Not sooner than I would have wanted we were finally on our way to the dinner date Ama planned for just the two of us.

*********

I sped through the city scared out of my mind.

My mother had called earlier on sounding distressed and I couldn't even grab from her what the actual problem was. I couldn't even explain to ama what was going on. I just told her I was sorry and left the diner.

"Mom!" I ran into the house screaming.

"Mom! Dad!"

Soon footsteps were heard running towards me and I was engulfed in a hug by my mother.

"You have to get ready Hariel".

I stood there confused. What on earth was going on!.

I looked at my dad and now noticed how weak he looked.

"Dad!" I gasped holding onto him before he fell.

"What is this! What's going on mother". I asked, tears now forming in my eyes.

"I....it's...You won't understand". She struggled to speak and I knew it wasn't because of she couldn't explain but because of how pale and weak she was also now getting

What is this!

She kneeled in front of me where I held my father who now murmured words I couldn't quite grasp.

"Mom?".

She looked at me again now in tears. She kept staring till she yelled out in pain clutching her heart. I was now visibly shaking in fear. I was torn between reaching for her and my father.

God please! I called out to everything supernatural that could hear me as I held on to them.

"Tali rien incinera goddess Riela". She whispered and I could finally make out that was what my father was also chanting but that wasn't what scared me. My parents usually spoke these languages sometimes and I just thought they were murmuring or something. I just never took it too seriously but right now I couldn't ignore it because I understood this particular one. How that is possible is what I didn't get and it scared me.

Getting a hold of myself, I stretched out to reach for my phone when suddenly it hit me. An unexplainable pain. It seemed like my heart was shattering and a piece was being thorn out.

What is going on!?

"Arghhhhhhh" It was unbearable.

I struggled to breathe properly and soon enough everything went dark as I hit the cold tiled floor.

*******

"Hariel?"

I could hear my name being called out but found it difficult to open my eyes or even my mouth to answer.

"Do you think she's awake?". Another voice asked

"I don't know Lazarus, but I could swear her eyes twitched". The first voice replied.

"This is really bad" the first voice continued. I could make out the distress that came with it.

"I know. But we need to get her back there".

"Do we really have to?"

"That shouldn't even be an option Rebekah".

"I know. I'm just so scared for her. She is not ready for all of this!" The voice which I now recognised as my mother's spoke.

My father sighed. "I know but it's her destiny. Nobody has been able to change the prophecy without getting hurt in the process"

What were they talking about?. What prophecy is this they speak of? And where are they planning to take me?. All this could be answered if I could open my Damn eyes or mouth to speak.

"Do you think our baby girl would be fine Lazarus?" My mother asked and I was more scared than I previously was.

What was that question supposed to mean?. Was I dying?

"She's a strong girl, Rebekah. She'll be fine".

Uh I definitely was anything but strong so my father was either trying to assure himself or he's joking.

"Open your eyes" A feather-like voice caressed my body and I shuddered making my parents gasp out loud.

That strange voice again?. For as long as I could remember I grew up hearing that voice at strange times or events. At some point I had thought I was probably going mad because anytime I asked anybody next to me if they heard it, they would look at me like I'd grown two heads. It was really awkward.

"Wake up dear child"

My eyes immediately shot open, startling my mother as she was leaning very close to me. I sat up looking any and everywhere in search of the voice. How was it able to do that?

I was breathing heavily scared out of my mind. For someone that's been hearing this strange voice for most parts of her life, it still never ceased to leave this effect on me.

"Ha....Hariel?" My mother called out trying to touch me but immediately retracted her hand when I turned to face her.

Her eyes widened in fear and I looked at her confused.

What again?.

The gasp of my father had me turning to look at him seated beside my mother.

"We need to leave. NOW!" He bellowed and I recoiled a little. In all my life I have never heard my Father raise his voice or sound so authoritative.

"I'll get her bags".

"What? NO!". I screamed standing up to look at them properly.

"Why is no one saying anything? What's going on!"

My mother immediately stood up trying to block my view but I had seen it already. It was probably what made them so scared.

MY EYES! IT GLOWED A BRIGHT GREEN!

"W....wh..what's wrong w,...with my eyes". I staggered back in fear.

"We need to go". My mom nodded at my father's words and left the room probably going to get our things.

"Daddy?" I sounded like a little girl whose favorite teddy got shredded. I could feel my lips quivering.

He immediately hugged me patting my back. "You're fine my dearest. you're fine".

"Please tell me what's going on".

He pulled back at my words, sighed and replied. "We will tell you everything you need to know on the way".

"Way to where?". I asked calmly.

"The world of RAWA".

At that instant my mother entered carrying just a bag. I could have asked why she's just with one bag but all that didn't matter right now.

I was about to say something when she brought out a glowing orb and before my eyes a magical tornado-like portal opened up.

What was this? Wizards of Waverly places?.

I was too stunned to react when they both held on to each hands of mine and stepped into the glowing tornado.

Chapter 3 New beginnings (part one)

WRITER'S POV

(The world of vampires)

On a throne that looked anything but cute sat a laughing king that was anything but amused.

The maidens were scared out of their minds.

"Please don't bite us. Not again, I can't bear it!" One of them immediately shrieked causing the others to hold their breath in fear of her faith which she just signed unknowingly.

The king's chuckle slowed dangerously to a stop. He now held a smirk instead.

"Take the others back!" He ordered and his guards were quick to react leaving the girl that had spoken up. They didn't need the king to spell it out to them that she was to remain.

The girl, having now known what she had brought upon herself, fell to her knees in a series of pleas.

She was a human that had been captured from her world to the world of vampires. There were many like her here and whenever the king got bored, he'd send for new ones and discard the old ones.

"Please have mercy" she cried now bowing.

She really didn't mean to speak out, she had thought it was just in her head!. Every one knew how the king was, so why would she knowingly utter such in his presence!.

"Why?". Came his reply and she paused in confusion and surprise. He actually wants to hear her reason!

"What?" She immediately regretted her question when she noted the anger spewing from his eyes.

"I....I..I ..I mean" she found it hard to explain herself. What reason could she possibly give to such a wicked man to let her live?

"Seeing as you have none___

"No, please wait!".

The king cocked his head to the side with an evil glint in his eye, wearing an equally matching smile. He could keep this game going for as long as she wanted.

"Tell me darling". He drawled and she almost forgot she was about to die. Thoughts ran through her head. The loudest being how such a fine man could be so evil.

The tsk sound that came from him finally snapped her out of her day dream.

"Plans changed".

The girl stared confusedly at him wondering what his words meant but it wasn't for long as before she could blink her eyes, an excruciating pain shot through her neck. Then came the struggle combined with the scream.

Soon enough the king was back to his former position with a tilt to his head admiring what he thought to be a fine piece of art.

"This better be good or you're going to be in the same position as that". The king spoke before he turned to a new presence that had just entered the room.

He had heard the frantic voice resonating in his head about something important occuring which pushed his decision to end his new toy faster than he would have liked.

"You wouldn't do that to your best friend" Joshua the king's second in command replied "well more like only friend" he added after some thoughts.

The king in no mood to entertain his friend's jokes stared unemotionally causing Joshua to shiver a little. Even he was afraid of his friend.

"Fine! Fine!" He raised his hands in surrender. "A royal message and invitation just reached our world".

If the king was surprised, nothing at all gave it away. "Give it".

Joshua immediately handed over the letter that was obviously marked with a royal emblem that the king knew all too well.

RAWA's.

A mocking smile reached his face as he tore through the envelope. He had waited for this day. A day the almighty RAWA would seek his help.

Joshua stood there eagerly waiting for the content of the letter to be Spilled by his friend. He was already used to his friend changing moods like a pregnant woman that he saw nothing odd about the smile he now possessed.

The king had only read the headings when his smile dropped and was instead replaced with a scowl.

"What is it?" Joshua was quick to notice.

Instead of replying, the king threw the letter to him.

"INVITATION IN HONOR OF THE LATE KING OF RAWA" Joshua read aloud and immediately scowled at it too. He was also expecting it was some sort of plea from the creatures of RAWA.

From years before they were born and even till now, there had been a silent challenge going on between the vampire world and the other world which the vampires Prefered to call the world of abomination.

Both worlds have hoped that RAWA would one day reach out to them for help or some sort of alliance. They knew it would come with a lot of power and respect to their name as RAWA was such a feared world considered much more closer to goddess Riela.

The almighty goddess was seen to have greater love for the world of RAWA than the other two she had also created. At some point both worlds decided they would not serve the goddess anymore as they felt neglected and unloved but the responding wrath of goddess Riela had them going back on their words.

"Maybe it's not even a bad idea". The king's voice spoke up .

"What? You want to honor RAWA's late king?" Joshua askedlaughing but it immediately died down when he noticed the king didn't look amused. On the contrary he looked quite serious.

"Wait what?" Joshua asked again, now confused "you'd really go?"

"Yes" the king replied in a clip tone.

"Don't even think of going all finality and secretive on me" Joshua warned. He might have been a little scared of his friend sometimes but it never affected him when he was curious or fed up and right now he was a bit of both.

The king raised an eyebrow at him but eventually sighed.

"First off, it is a necessity in the Goddess's rule and last thing I need now is incurring another of her tantrums" he lifted another finger further listing out his reasons "secondly it's not every time the almighty RAWA accepts visitors from other worlds" he smiled and finally added "I just think it's going to be fun".

Joshua knowing that was all he was going to get even though it was obviously nothing decided not to push it.

"It's in three days".

"Make sure word gets out and ready two of our best men" the king ordered "we leave before the crow of the hawk at the start of night".

Joshua bowed and left his presence. His head filled with thoughts of what the king had planned. The king's definition of "fun" was definitely not the same way others pictured it and as much as Joshua wanted them on the good side of RAWA, he couldn't help but be fearful of this "fun" the king spoke of.

"Whatever happens, it's him, not me, goddess Riela. Take note please". He pleaded in a whisper hoping the king didn't hear.

Meanwhile....

Over at the World of RAWA, Hariel had just woken up from a week's sleep and looked confused at her environment.

"At some point I thought she was dead". She heard a voice and snapped her head towards a young girl about her age with her blond bangs covering her eyes. She almost laughed when the girl blew air past her mouth to remove the bangs but failed miserably as it fell back on her eyes.

"I'm glad to see you find that funny". The girl remarked.

Hariel's eyes widened in surprise. She could swear she didn't laugh out loud.

"Oh don't be surprised. You'd get used to it soon".

Hariel looked at the girl confused.

"Will you stop scaring her Elizabeth!" Another voice called out from the other side of the room and hariel's first reaction was to scurry back in fear which proved to be a bad idea as she hit her head hard on the headboard.

"Ouuuuuch". She whimpered.

"Oh dear" the voice that had startled her immediately reached out for her, pressing gently on her head.

Hariel was too stunned to react.

"What's going on here!" Hariel's father had stepped into the room appalled at the picture he saw.

"Liana made her hit her head". Elizabeth was quick to speak .

"Lizzy!" The girl now identified as Liana hissed.

Lizzy looked innocently at her spotting a "what?" Look.

"Okay girls that's enough for today. Out!" Hariel's father ordered and both girls went out muttering sorry to Hariel. They passed by Hariel's mother who entered into the room in confusion having also heard Hariel's earlier outburst of pain.

"What's wrong?". She questioned sitting by Hariel who held her head still in pain.

"I think she hit her head," The father answered.

"Oh my poor baby". Her mother wrapped her up as much as she could, seeing as Hariel had a bigger build than her. Rebekah was a very tiny woman.

Hariel, feeling a little embarrassed, tried to reassure her. "I'm okay mom"

The woman was having none of that though.

"Allow the child a little space, Rebekah!" Lazarus warned.

Rebekah reluctantly did as he said and Hariel let out a little breath of freedom.

"Are you okay?". Lazarus asked her.

"I'll be once you tell me where we are father".
