Hazel recoiled as Luna came at her with a whip, her senses overwhelmed by terror.
" Pl- ease- see," she pleaded, tears streaming down her face, her hands joined together as a plea, her back hitting the dungeon wall stopping her from moving back as Luna Katherine approached her with the whip.
" Why?" The Luna asked laughing crazily, bloodlust visible in her eyes scaring the hell out of Hazel
" You killed him," she declared in anger, her eyes filled with bloody veins.
" He picked you up from the bush but you repaid him by getting him killed,'' she said as she lashed the whip at Hazel, making her scream in pain.
" No-," Hazel started but was cut short by Luna Katherine who hit her with the whip.
" You ungrateful wench," Luna Katherine said as she whipped her again, she squatted down and hugged her head.
" You killed him," Luna Katherine said with a deranged laughter as she continued whipping her despite her vulnerable position.
" Mom-,"
" Don't you dare call me that," Luna said, dropping the whip and storming off in anger.

" Haze," someone called, and Hazel woke up with a start, gasping, her breath came out in short hurried pants. She patted her chest trying to steady her breathing.
" It was all a dream," Angela, Hazel's only friend and roommate, said , patting her back comfortingly.
Hazel made eye contact with Angela and she saw pity in her eyes, Hazel's eyes clouded over as they both knew it was not a dream it was a figment of Hazel's memory that cannot be forgotten. It was when she was thirteen after the alpha died in a rogue attack, but he died saving her, since then Hazel's life has been living hell.
" We have to get ready now madam Harper would soon be here," Angela said and stood up from Hazel's bed she was sitting on, " okay," Hazel said, nodding her head meekly. She stood up from the bed as she made her way into the bathroom.
She came out of the bathroom shivering, omegas are not allowed the luxury of warm water.
" Quickly get dressed, it is almost six," Angela said and handed Hazel maid uniform to her.
" Thank you," she said and collected the clothes from her. Angela is already dressed in her own uniform that consisted of a white shirt and black pinafore.
" Let's go," Angela said as the first bell rang, a warning for all Omegas to come out before madam Harper starts going around.
Hazel quickly slipped on her pair of shoes and followed Angela out.
All Omegas are to stand in front of their room as madam Harper makes roll calls. Two girls were assigned to one room.
Omegas are those born of werewolf parents but are born without a wolf, so they are practically human except that they are even a little bit weaker than humans.
" Number 056" madam Harper called as she moved nearer to where Angela and Hazel stood, Angela nudged her to remind her of it being her turn after number 057.
" Number 058," she called when she was in front of Hazel.
" Here ma," Hazel said as she meekly raised her hand, her head lowered. She has come to learn in a hard way that when talking to a superior you look down and not into their eyes.
After the last number which was 060 was called they were all assigned to their duties with Hazel and Angela being assigned to the kitchen with other five Omegas to make breakfast for the pack members living in the pack house which were majorly the high ranking members.
" Haze, careful there," Angela said, steadying her from dropping the ceramics she was carrying.
" Tha-nk you," Hazel stammered out as one of the Omega glared unhappily at her.
After a while the breakfast was ready and they all set the long table that can contain fifty people since they were mainly for the high ranking officials.
" Are you done putting the dishes out?" madam Harper asked entering the kitchen.
" Yes ma'am," they all chorused as they formed a straight line.
" Good," she said and left the kitchen. Immediately she left the kitchen, the girls started engaging one another with petty talks and gossip. Hazel found a corner to stand waiting for when the bell for breakfast will be rung.
" Are you okay?" Angela asked her concern marred her features
" Yes," she whispered inaudibly.
" Alright," Angela said and stood in the corner with her.
Since that incident four years ago the only person that truly showed genuine concern for Hazel was Angela, everyone deserted her the moment she was demoted to being an Omega by the Luna.
" What's wrong?" Angela asked as she wiped a stray tear at the corner of her eyes.
" No-nothing," Hazel said and cleaned her eyes.
" Haze," Angela called, looking at her like a mother chick.
" I told you, they all don't worth your tears, none of them do," she said, her eyes shone as if she know of things hidden.
" Ding, ding, ding," The second bell rang, it notified the pack members that it was time for breakfast.
The omegas all filed out in an organised manner and waited where they can be called when needed they were all bowing lightly their hands tucked behind their back and their eyes were lowered an act of acknowledging their lowly position
" All should rise, the Luna is here," the Luna personal knight, Mason said in a gruff voice and all pack members that already took their seat stood up and bowed lightly.
" Greet,'' Mason bellowed.
" Good morning Luna, our loyalty is with you," they all chorused loudly with their right hand on their chest, an act of loyalty.
" Morning," Luna Katherine replied and sat down with pride. She was dressed in a white pure elegant gown, a golden belt at her waist that accentuated her slim waist, her black hair falling around her like water waves.
After she sat down they sat all down.
Madam Harper waved her hand a sign for the Omegas to start serving the Luna family.
Hazel avoided being noticed by the Luna because she detested her presence.
" Good morning to you all," Rose, the spoiled princess and the Lua pampered daughter greeted and swaggered into the room, it is obvious she is just waking up.
" Rosie!" Luna Katherine scolded her lovingly.
" What were you up to last night," Luna asked, scowling unhappily at her.
" Momma, don't be so boring," Rose said in a lazy voice pulling out the chair beside her mother, the seat was always reserved for her.
" You!" Luna Katherine said pointing angrily at her daughter, her face reddened in anger.
" Mommaaa,'' she whined.
" I was partying in the club last night," she said smiling lovingly, a sight the Luna could not resist.
" Just be careful," Luna said, sighing.
" Alright momma," she said.
" You," Rose said pointing at Hazel fiddling with her cloth at one corner,
" serve me," she said, her face donning a smirk.
" yes ma'am," Hazel said and let out a shaky breath before she scampered to where Rose was.
" Serve me pancake and apple sauce," Rose said.
" Y-ee-s ma," Hazel said timidly, her body visibly shaking.
" Why are you shaking?" Rose whispered near Hazel's ear, Hazel jumped, her heart racing.
" No-nothing," Hazel said. Hazel has always been scared of Rose, she takes joy in Hazel suffering
" Are you so excited for today's session," Rose asked, placing her hand on Hazel butt, Hazel jumped and split the apple sauce on Rose's clothes.
" Tsk, tsk," Rose said standing up.
" There is nothing you can do well and that is why you got my father killed," Rose said coldness flashing in her eyes.
" How about we start today's session," Rose said and raised her hand and slapped Hazel.
Hazel closed eyes, her hands clutching her clothes tightly, her body shivering in fear of what is to come.
" So-r-rry," Hazel pleaded.
" If sorry can solve everything Hazel, why do you think we have law enforcement agencies," Rose asked, smirking wickedly, her eyebrows raised.
" Get me the silver whip," Rose said.
Rose grinned, delighted to see Hazel trembling with fear at what was about to happen.
Rose whispered into Hazel's ear, "You do not know, your shivering, your pleading voice is melody to my ears." She laughed evilly, causing Hazel's body to sway back a little as she realised she would never be able to escape today's torture
Hazel bit hard on her lip to keep from whimpering in agony as her eyes clouded over. She glanced around the table, trying to find someone who could at least protect her from this crazy demon girl, but no one paid them any attention or showed any sign of awareness.
Hazel closed her eyes in despair as the whip was brought by another Omega.
" Are you ready?" Rose asked the wicked smirk still on her lip making Hazel's skin crawl in fear of what is to come.
She put on the hand gloves to prevent herself from getting burn by the silver whip.
" Kneel," Rose said using the authoritative tone on Hazel, Hazel fell on her knees and crawled on all- four.
" Good, what. you. are. is a lowly being and you belong to the floor," she said punctuating each word as she brought the whip down hard on Hazel's back.
Hazel groaned in pain as Rose continued her torment, her eyes rolled to the back of her head in pain.
" Did you know? Brother will be back tomorrow," Rose said dropping the whip beside her and bent beside her.
" Will he use the base bat on you again if I tell him you disrespected me?" Rose asked as she blew on her nails casually like she was talking with her friends about the weather.
Hazel's eyes widened in fear before she shut them again and let out a shaky breath, her eyes stinged and a tear slipped out from the corner of her eyes. As she forced her hands into tight fists.
Rose and Luna Katherine hatred for her was just a tip of the iceberg but Alpha Liam despised her very existence and torture her at any chance he got.
" Wha-at di-dd I do, wh-hy did-d yo-uu ha-a-te me this much," Hazel stammered out in pain.
" Why?" Rose asked laughing in a deranged manner her shoulder shaking hard before her lips curved into bitter smile.
" I have always hated you, you know," Rose whispered, twirling a strand of Hazel's hair between her fore and middle finger her eyes lost in a distant memory.
" You came and snatched my father's love from me, you occupied his heart and I was ignored, pushed back and neglected, I watch you laugh and play happily with him, I watch you become his top priority, whereby I the biological daughter was neglected because of the interference of a stranger, when he died because of you, I did not know if I should be happy he died by you, his favourite daughter or should I be sad I just lost a father," Rose said sadness flashing in her eyes.
" But it is not that bad, I get to torture you and it gives me joy," she said smiling like a maniac that she was, she stood up from squatting beside Hazel sat back on the dining table, her eyes never trailing to the pained Hazel again, she ate without a care in the world.
After everyone of them left, Angela with eyes filled with tears helped Hazel up to their room.
" It hurts," Hazel said after Angela made her sat on the bed.
" Of course, it will hurt, silly," Angela said as she stood up to go get the first aid box, something she came to realised that they need after Hazel was beaten to the point of fainting.
" Not there, Angel," Hazel said staring into space, her eyes clouded over.
" Are you hurt anywhere else," Angela asked worriedly.
" No, Angel, it hurt right here," Hazel said laying her hand over her chest where her heart rested.
" I told you, right," Angela said as she pulled Hazel into a hug careful to not touch her wound.
" You need to grow stronger and put them behind you, they will keep hurting you, if you let them continue staying in your heart," Angela said as she wiped Hazel tears away.
" Hazel, you have to grow stronger, ok?" Angel said, holding both of Hazel's hands.
" I ca-a-nn-t," Hazel said flustered.
" Why?" Angela asked obviously astonished that Hazel rejected.
" I d-oo-nt h-ave a wo-olf," Hazel said stating her fears.
" Stop underestimating yourself," Angela said and sighed before she moved to her back to disinfect her wound before applying ointment.
Angela traced some old scars on Hazel's back and sighed again.
" Why did you refuse then, when there was a chance for us to escape this goddess forsaken pack," Angela asked as she rolled her eyes in anger.
" If we w-ee-re caug-hh-t it h-aa-d be trea-s-oo-n," she stuttered out sadly, her eyes casted down.
" Can you stop being a scary cat for once," Angela said puffing her cheeks in anger.
Hazel kept to herself and stopped replying to Angela, she stared into space lost in he thought.
" What are you thinking about?" Angela asked snapping her out of her reverie.
" Do you think my mate will like me," Hazel asked suddenly out of nowhere.
" Where did that come from," Angela asked as she paused in bandaging Hazel's wound.
" I am just thinking will he be able to save me from them," Hazel asked obviously depressed.
" He will," Angela said forcing a smile, her eyes swirling with unknown emotions.
" Hmmm," Hazel hummed obviously putting her last hope in her mate.
Angela sighed for the third time today as she watched her sleep with her front, she patted her hair before she left the room.
" Where is your partner," madam Harper asked as she got out of the room, the wrinkles on her forehead crunched together in a tight frown.
" She is down with fever," Angela answered bowing lightly to the woman.
" What a misfortuned child," Madam Harper said and walked away with a shake of her head.

" Noooo, please papa don't leave me alone," Hazel muttered in her sleep, an obvious frown on her face an indication that she is having nightmares.
" Hazel be a good girl and run inside, okay," Alpha Raymond said to the thirteen years old Hazel as he pecked her forehead.
" Papa, please let's leave together," young Hazel said as eyes zeroed on the five rogue wolves circling around them.
" Don't worry sweet, papa will be there soon," Alpha Raymond said as he quickly pushed Hazel out of the door and locked it.
" Nooooooo," young Hazel screamed, banging very hard on the door.
" Papa, don't go, come back," she yelled tears streaming down her eyes, her piggy tails a mess with strand of hair stuck to her face.
" Papa don't leave me," she yelled screaming at the door in agony, she squatted down clutching tightly at her throat as she went into fits of coughing.
She stood up from where she bent and clutched to the teddy lamb she was holding for dear life, she made her ways through the battlefield, her eyes zeroing in on the amount of dead bodies on the floor.
She dashed to where she saw a warrior she recognised as the their pack warrior, she tugged gently at the clothes of the warrior who was quick to give attention to her as he recognised her as the Alpha's daughter.
" Papa, there," she said crying pointing to where she was coming from, The warrior on understanding what she was trying to convey hurried to where she was pointing at.hurried there with little Hazel trailing behind him like a tail, the warrior forced the door open and ran inside only for his blood to run cold at what he saw and he froze.
"Hazel, Hazel, Hazel," Angela cried in terror as she attempted to wake Hazel from her nightmare.
Angela smacked Hazel's cheek tenderly in an attempt to wake her from the nightmare. "Hazel, wake up," she called anxiously.
" Hazel-" Angela started, Hazel woke up with a gasp, breathing rapidly, sweats appearing on her fair skin, tears streaming down her face, her hair stuck to her hair, and her hands flying to her chest-an attempt she had come to adopt to calm herself after the nightmare. Angela tried calling again, but her call was cut short.
With a gentle pat on Hazel's back, Angela comforted her, saying, "It is okay, you are fine."
"Angela, I killed him," she muttered as her eyes began to cloud over once more. She covered her mouth with her fist to keep from sobbing aloud in agony.
"You didn't," Angela informed Hazel, gently placing her head on her shoulder while giving her a back pat.
Hazel blurted out in agony, "But he died because of me."
"Believe me, you did not," Angela uttered, attempting to persuade Hazel-who was engrossed in a guilty feeling-that Luna has ingrained in her over the years
" I-" Hazel started again but was cut short by the stern like in Angela's eyes.
" Sleep, it is still early," Angela said and gently laid beside her, her fingers playing with Hazel's hair.
" Angel," Hazel called gently.
" Hmm," Angela answered.
" Thank you," Hazel said.
"Hm," Angela said, her eyes shining with unknown emotions.
***
" Hazel," Angela called, gently tapping Hazel's cheek.
" Wake up," she said. Hazel woke up, her eyes confused before the focus.
" Angel?" She called rubbing her eyes, and let out a yawn.
" it is time to wake up and the first bell would soon be rung," Angela said as she stood up and made her way to the bathroom.
Hazel sat on the bed and waited for Angela to come out, Angela came out wrapped in a pale pink towel, her milky skin peeking out without any touch of blemish.
" Hazel go and clean up but make sure water does not touch your wound lest you infest it" Angela said.
" Ok," Hazel replied as she stood up and pulled her clothes.
" Or should I come and help you," Angela asked, her eyes zeroed on the litter whip wound on Hazel's skin.
" Never bother," Hazel said as she picked a towel and dashed to the bathroom.
" You need to hurry," Angela said to Hazel, who just came out of the bathroom, her hair dripping with water.
" Alright," Hazel replied as she looked at Angela who was already dressed up.
Hazel was quick to pull the towel and dried herself before towelling her hair semi dry.
Angela quickly disinfected her wound and applied antiseptic, and wrapped it in bandage.
" Thank you," Hazel said as she moved away from her and changed to her clothes too.
They both slipped on their shoes and Angela helped in towelling Hazel's hair till it was dry and then the bell rang.
Both of them make their way outside the door as they await madam Harper.
" How are you now?" Madam Harper asked Hazel nonchalantly after she was done taking the roll call.
" Fi-nn-e ma," Hazel replied in a quivering voice.
" Good," the woman said, she appointed both Hazel, Angela, with four other girls, to do the cleaning of the hallways before she left.
" Let's go," Angela said as she supported Hazel to where their duty was.
" Hope she won't slow us down? Angela" one of the Omegas asked, her voice showing her unhappiness.
" No she won't, Kate," Angela said, snapping at the girl, making her way along with Hazel to the tool room to get their cleaning equipment.
Angela got two mopping sticks and handed them over to Hazel, cleaning buckets and napkins, she moved to one part of the vast hallway and together with Hazel they started cleaning up.
" The Alpha to be is here, all lowlives should gather outside to welcome him," a guard said to all of them in the hallway and left in a hurry.
Omegas and slaves have always been referred to as lowlives, to welcome Liam they have to be there, it is a culture given to the Alpha family.
" Liam is here!" Hazel exclaimed in whisper, fear clouding her senses, her hands clutched tightly to the gown she was putting on.
" Hazel!" Angela called and shook her back to consciousness as she watched her face turn pale.
" We have to leave now," Angela said as she watched the Omegas leave one after the other as the emergency bell rang, anybody seen loitering around after the emergency bell rang will be considered a traitor and be executed.
" Let's go," Angela said and dragged Hazel along with her. They all gathered outside the castle in an organised line, the Herald sounded the trumpet a sign that the alpha was in sight and everyone should pay their respects.
He came in with his escort in front, behind and beside him.
After the death of the Alpha they have made sure to arm the Alpha to be with very armed mercenaries to protect him and prevent what happened to the Alpha.
Hazel could feel his eyes on her something that is not the first time of happening, she can feel the hatred in those eyes as they burned down on her making her shiver in fear, and something was forcing her to look up to sneak a peek at him but she dare not risk it because she knows it will land her in trouble.
" He i-ss look-iing over," she whispered in fear to Angela that stood beside her.
" Act oblivious," Angela said.
" Okay," she replied. Hazel don't know why but he is always quick to notice her in crowded place and his eyes always burn her down with hatred.
The Herald stopped sounding the trumpet immediately the alpha entered.
" You can all go back to your duties," a guard said to them and they all dispersed.
" I felt his eyes on him but it was filled with hatred," Hazel said when she was alone with Angela and they were back to cleaning the hallway.
" He hates you of course, silly," Angela said.
" No, I felt a different kind of hate. It felt like I ruined his life, it was a kind of intense one, not the type I feel from Katherine and Luna," Hazel rushed out in one long sentence.
" Maybe you are just thinking too much," Angela said to her.
" Maybe," Hazel replied unsure.
" And also there is this invincible pull I feel towards him like I can't explain in words," Hazel said.
" Hmm," Angela said thinking deeply.
" We will find out about it, how about we clean up first," Angela said as she continued cleaning the floor.
" Hm, ok," Hazel said and continued cleaning up too.
" Oops," they both heard a female voice calling and they whipped their heads up to see who it was. They saw that it was Amelia, Liam's girlfriend.
They both bowed deeply to her.
" My bad, girls," she said as she poured the glass of Chapman she was holding on the floor they just cleaned.
" I mistakenly spilled my drink on the floor," she said, covering her mouth in mock laughter.
" I am sorry guys, you guys will forgive me, right?"she said, finding it amusing as she used her legs to spread the drink evenly on the floor.
Tears clouded Hazel's eyes as she bit hard on her teeth, why are they doing this to us, why? She thought, sadness overpowering her mind.
" You guys won't take it up against me right?" she said her laughter was obvious.
" Yes ma," they both replied despite wanting to say another thing.
" Alright girls," she said and sauntered off laughing in amusement.
" Why? Why are they doing this," Hazel asked as Amelia strode up.
" It is ok, Haze," Angela said and took the mop back to where the drink was spilled and started cleaning it up.

Nighttime
" Haze! Wake up, I need to show you something," Angela said as she shook Hazel awake.
