"Brianna what is it this time around is late for people in the next neighborhood to be hearing your voice"

"Well mum why don't you talk to your son, he drives me crazy"

"What is it this time Eric, what did you do to your sister?"

"Nothing mum I only told her not to keep bad friends but you know your daughter always stubborn"

"Did you just call me stubborn?"

"Yeah, I just did"

I wanted to kick him right in front of mum, how could he? We moved in here about three months again because of dad's business but Eric wouldn't let me make any friends.

I just don't understand why he can't just mind his fucking business, yeah I know he is my senior brother but why does he have the right to do whatever he wants, keep whoever he wants as his friend but I don't.

"I am sixteen years old am not a child, I can be friends with whoever I want and you can't do anything about it"

"Aah you are still a child" he said with that stupid smile on his face.

"Mum the next time Eric gets in the way of me trying to make friends around here then I will make sure I make him as miserable as he is making me"

"Brianna your brother is just looking at for you"

"How? By telling all my friends to stay away from me, by making me look like a little princess that has some thug following her around?"

"Am just looking out for you sis" he said and pecked my cheeks before heading upstairs. I was trying to control myself, I hate that stupid smile on his face I wish I can just slap it off his face.

"Wash up and come down for dinner, I made your favorite" my mum called after him.

"Okay, mum"

"That's all you have to say, really mum?"

"Brianna your brother is just looking out for you that is what makes him your big brother because he is always there to protect you"

My mum said cupping my cheeks like she will do to a six years old.

"I just don't like it when he do it around my friends, no one wants to talk to me because my brother is always around the corner glaring at them"

"Okay fine I will talk to him now go upstairs and go wash up, dinner is almost ready"

"That's what you always say but you never do anything about it. Mum we changed our location, am trying not to feel that I left my friend's back at home, here doesn't feel like home mum"

"Brianna home is not where all your friends are, home is where your family are"

"But we still need friends because some friends are also like family, so when they are not around it just wouldn't feel right" I told her before I headed for my room.

"Where are you going to?"

"To my room to forget that dad's work has to make us move all the time"

"But we won't be moving again, I thought your dad told you that"

I went inside my room took my bath and started writing my homework on maths. I really don't like my maths teacher, actually I don't like anything about this city.

I wonder who she got that temper from, she is always angry. I know that having to move is really affecting her but her dad and I are only looking for a better life.

And when we finally found one we couldn't say no. I wonder if Eric is being too harsh on her she looked really pissed off today.

I served the food and went upstairs to call everyone down for dinner. Eric was busy with his video game while Brianna passed out on top of her maths question.

"How come you are so into this game that I had to hit you before you notice my presence?" I asked Eric who didn't even notice me standing next to him for some minutes.

"Sorry mum is dinner ready?"

"Yes go downstairs and wait I will get your sister"

"Do you want me to help you carry her down?" Eric asked. He has always been a happy child, always smiling or making others smile but Brianna was the opposite of Eric.

She is very stubborn, she doesn't like it when people mingle in her business, she loves her privacy like hell. She doesn't hide her emotions she just like treating people the way they treated her.

"You don't have to, I will get her myself"

"Is dad back?"

"No he said he has a meeting and won't be coming back early"

"Okay"

I went to Brianna's room and sat down beside her and watched her sleep. She took over her father in a lot of ways but her anger issues is what I haven't decided where she got it from.

"Hey, sweetheart dinner is ready come have something to eat" I whispered in her eyes as I slowly caressed her hair.

"No, I want to sleep more" she said and went back to sleep.

"Come have a little and you can come back and sleep"

"I don't want to"

"If you don't get up right now I will have your brother carry you down"

"Fine, am going" she said and matched out of her room down to the dining room.

"Hey sis"

"You better hold your greetings to yourself I am still very much angry at you" Brianna said to Eric who raised his hands in surrender.

"Brianna don't fight with your brother, we are eating" I said and sighed in frustration, I wonder why she is always not grateful that she has a brother who loves her very much.

"Honey!!!, am home"

"We are in here, your dad is back" I said to Brianna who was still giving Eric a deadly stare while Eric kept laughing at her expression.

"Dad"

"My baby girl" I watched as the father and daughter exchange their greetings, sometimes I wonder between Brianna and I who is his wife.

"Eric what did you do to your sister?" Okay here we go, the daddy's girl has finally told her father that her brother bullied her.

"Nothing I was just looking out for her, right mum?" Eric said dragging me in on the argument.

"I don't know I mean I wasn't there when it happened" I told him and walked up to my husband to take his bag upstairs.

"Hey honey, I missed you all day" he said kissing my lips, I smiled at him before dragging him upstairs while Eric and Brianna continued their argument.

Brianna's POV

I woke up this morning in a very good mood and I promised myself I won't let Eric spoil them for me. I went downstairs and quickly had my breakfast before joining the school bus.

Apparently Eric has gone to join his friend who happens to have a car. I mean which parents gives their son a car at age eighteen, they must be a very nice parent.

My mum said we have to be twenty before we consider driving our own car which is very annoying. As the school bus drive into the compound I saw the group of the top most famous girls in school as they emerged from their big Lamborghini.

They are so lame, I wonder what is so special about them. I walked up to school entrance and stood by the side with my earpiece to my ears as a listen to my favorite song.

"Hey, new girl move we want to pass" knowing they were talking to me I decided to pretend I didn't hear anything and continued nodding my head to the beat of my song.

"Hey!!!, am talking to you who do you think you are?" The one with the name Becky on her uniform said coming close to me.

"I don't remember being in your way, if you can't pass with me standing here than why don't you fly instead" I told her.

"You little brat, don't you know am your senior"

"Call me a brat again and I will break that stupid mouth of yours" we started drawing attention to ourselves due to the hot argument going on between us.

"What, did you just call me stupid you little....."

"Touch her and I will break your hand" I heard Eric's voice behind me, oh boy what does he want this time around.

"Eric" Becky said taking her already raised hand back, if only she hit me I would have shown her how beautiful it is to reach the rainbow but Eric decided to spoil my fun for me.

"Why are you harassing my sister?"

"What, she is your sister? Hell no I will never do such a thing we were just gisting right?"

Becky said bending down a little like am some small child begging for some candy.

"Gisting, with who, you? What will I possibly want to discuss with someone like you, you are just a two faced bitch" with that being said I saw the shock on her face but who cares.

I turned and glared at Eric who tried touching my hair but I push his hands off and angry matched to my class.

I wonder why I can't go a day without Eric being so annoying and seeing the way that Becky girl was pretending in front of him I think she likes Eric.

Which I found very disgusting, Eric is two years older than I am he is allowed to have any friends he wants whether Male or female my parents doesn't complain but mean while I am only allowed to keep female friends no male friends except for family friends.

If I can't have Male friends than I will make sure Eric doesn't have any female friends, what did mum say again, you both should look out for each other.

Don't worry dear brother I will look out for you just as much as you are doing for me, I think I might have a good time.

"Hey, hi my name Gia" I looked up to find a girl about my age with a very wired combination of clothes. Why is she dressed like that? Her hair also looked unkempt.

"Hi, am Brianna"

"I really like you Brianna can we be friends?" She asked grabbing my hand. I was still about to answer her when two students appeared from no where and started picking on her. She was just letting them hit her.

"Hey!!!!, have you gone nuts? One of you should hit her again and I will reap you into two different shades"

"Why don't you mind your own business, brat"

"What did you just call me?" I lost my cool and grab the both of them by the hair and used them to mob the floor of the school.

I don't know how but I ended up in the principal's office with Gia sitting beside me and the two other bitches sitting at the other edge with a broken lips and nose each.

"Miss Cromwell can you explain why you fought with your follow students?"

"They were beating up my friend and they called me names when I tried stopping them"

"That's a lie, you are lying you psycho" one the girls said.

"Shut up, I wasn't asking you. Since she is lying and she is also saying you guys are lying why don't we call your parents and have them come here tomorrow so I can show them the footage of the video.

Or do you think I don't have a CCTV camera around this school?" The principal asked.

I must confess she is a very smart woman, she was able to get those girls to apologize to Gia and I. Gia who was quiet during the whole time was looking like the world rejected her.

I dragged her out to lunch and bought something for her to eat. She kept shoving the food in her mouth like she was starving.

"Is either you eat gently or you will choke"

"Standing up for me, those two have been on my neck for a while now. They do normally take my money, my food and lunches"

"And you let them get away with it?"

"Not everybody is as cool as you are" she said and continued eating. Just when I thought I was relaxing and enjoying my lunch with Gia, Eric decided to show up.

"Brianna what happened? I heard you fought with some girls?" Eric said as he grabbed my hand checking to see if I got injured.

"It was just few minutes ago news sure go too fast around here" I muttered before I went back to my table but Eric wouldn't let me be.

"Brianna you are not supposed to be fighting in school"

"Let me guess, you are?"

"It doesn't matter you could have gotten hurt"

"Am fine Eric those girls were picking on my friend and I just can't stand there and do nothing"

"Look Eric I know you love me and you are just looking out for me but very soon you will be going to college is time I start taking care of myself"

"Just call me if they do okay?" I know if I don't agree with him he won't let me be.

"Eric just go, I will see you at home" he pecked me before he left. I sighed in frustration I wonder what he is up to. I walked back to Gia and saw her looking at something or someone so fixedly.

"Hello, Gia" I said weaving my hand to call her back.

"Who is he?"

"The guy you were just with, who is he?"

"Oh he is my brother"

"Your brother?" She asked again coming more close to me.

"Yeah, my brother"

"Wow he is so handsome" the look on her face left me laughing within a second.

"Yes, I think it was a love at first sight" Gia said with a dreamy smile on her face.

"I can't believe I can't stand him whereas you are here dreaming about him"

"Will you introduce me to him, please?" Gia asked me with a pleading look on her face.

"Fine I will introduce you but first we need to do something about your outfit"

"What's wrong with them?"

"They don't look too good on you"

"Hmm, am ready to do anything as long as you introduce me to your brother. Oh I know let's go shopping, my dad gave me his black card he wants me to change my wardrobe"

"Okay, let's go do some shopping and also a makeover will also be good"

Gia and I nearly closed a store while shopping at a time I got worried that Gia might have store the black card from someone but when I asked her about it she laughed it out.

"My dad is well to do so don't worry I didn't stole the card. He gave me this to take care of myself since he is always busy"

"What about your mum?"

"Oh, she passed away" she plainly said.

"Am sorry about that?"

"Is nothing I don't even know her since she died while giving birth to me. Sometimes I wonder if that makes me a bad luck, maybe that's the reason I don't have friends" she said

"Who said you don't have friends, what am I, your boyfriend?" I asked her as we both laughed it out. I was so glad I finally made a friend that is worth it.

From that day onwards it was always Gia and I, while I was trying to make Eric's life miserable Gia was busy trying to make him notice her. Yeah my bestfriend is crushing on my brother which I found very disgusting.

"Gia you look good already so let's go or we will be late for history class"

"But I want to put on some makeup, look Brianna I don't know if you know but everyone is planning on asking someone to the prom"

"Who cares about prom?"

"Brianna, I do because this might be my chance to dance with Eric"

"Oh boy, Gia I just can't believe I have known you for close to six months now"

"Girls!!!! Your school bus is here" I heard my mum call for us, I had to drag Gia all the way down just to get her away from the mirror.

Getting to school Gia made me stay to wait for Eric and his friends who happens to be the most handsome guys in school. I can't believe Gia is keeping me here, this is what I told myself I will never do but Gia has to be stubborn at a time like this.

"Brianna for ones support your brother"

"Why should I, he is having his best time while am not so why should I support him?"

"Fine, I will stay but I don't want to come across that Becky girl or I will pluck out her eyes"

"Don't worry when you see her pretend like you don't know that she exists" Gia said and continued looking out waiting to here that the groups are here. Immediately I heard the girls cheering I knew they were here.

Oh Brianna what are you doing here? I asked myself still not believing I stood among the crowd that was cheering for my annoying brother, I wanted to drag Gia out but she was too far away from me.

She can always find her way to history class, I turned and pushed away from the crowd. I heard the students talking about my brother's group but I didn't pay attention because I didn't really care.

Just when I was about climbing the stairs I bumped into someone and fell. Who the heck is not looking properly this morning before wanting to break my ass bone.

"Why can't you look where you are......going?" The words seized from my mouth when I found myself staring at a pair of blue eyes. Oh my God, I think I just saw an angel.

"Hey, are you Okay?" He asked, his voice was like heaven. It was enchanting, it was deep and gosh manly. Who is this guy in front of me?.

"Hello, miss?"

"Yeah am fine" I said finally finding my voice.

"Here let me help you up" he said offering me his hand. Immediately I placed my hand on his I felt this connection between us. He helped me up and apologized.

"Thanks" I thanked him for helping me up.

"By the way am Dax, what's your?"

"Her name is Brianna, Eric's little sister" I heard Becky said behind me before I could say a word.

"Oh, nice to finally meet you, your brother talks about you a lot"

"I know, tell me about it" I said and glared at Becky who was smiling at me with one of her fake smiles. I totally understand her after all I ruined her relationship with Eric.

I never taught I will say this but I really hate this Becky girl, she is so annoying and to make it worst she is a two faced bitch.

"Hey Brianna, it been a while since we have seen each other" she said and held Dax's hand. Staring at their hands joined together I knew something was going between the both of them.

"Yeah, am glad you decided to make yourself scarce around me because people were starting to think you were my servant" I said to her before I hit her a little in the back and said...

"See you around, Becky"

"You too, Brianna" she said and did exactly the same thing I did to her before she dragged Dax and they both left.

"There you are, I was looking everywhere for you" Gia said joining me but I was still staring at Becky and that guy from earlier.

"Hello, Brianna focus what are you even looking at? Gia asked

"At them" I replied her and pointed at Becky and Dax as they joined the rest of their group.

"Wait, that's Dax"

"You know him?" I asked Gia immediately she mentioned his name.

"Yeah he is number one in the group everyone knows him, everyone except for you Brianna" Gia said shaking her head slightly like I was hopeless.

"How come I have never see him?"

"That's because you are never interested in the group"

"Do you know the type of relationship he has with Becky?"

"Rumors say they are dating but it's a complete lie"

"Because everyone knows Dax, he doesn't date he just a playboy"

I just don't get what Gia said, Dax, a playboy. I just can't shake the thought of him out of my mind and seeing the way he was with Becky I think they are close or maybe even dating.

"I just don't get it, he looked like he wouldn't hurt a fly"

"Yeah he wouldn't hurt a fly but I heard he enjoys seeing girls crying because of him, but wait why are you so interested in him?" Gia asked given me suspicious look.

"Nothing am just asking since it was the first time of meeting him. We bumped into each other and we kind of introduced ourselves until Becky decided to be her usual ass self"

"Did you look him in the eyes?"

"Yeah, did something happen?" I asked Gia getting confused on the expression on her face.

"Rumors said that when you stare at him straight in the eye you will be under his spell" Gia said like someone that was narrating a horror story.

"Gia get hold of yourself we are not watching a fantasy movie around here, this is reality. Now let's go to class we are already late"

"Am serious Brianna am thinking Dax already left his spell deep in your heart"

"Oh Gia sometimes I wonder how we ended up as friends" I dragged Gia by the hand as we both head to our history class. But just as Gia said I kept thinking about Dax.

Maybe he has really casted a spell on me.

Dax POV

"Hey, Eric"

"So have you decided who you want to go to prom with. Is it going to be one of the juniors or you are just going to pick from the damsels around you?"

"I don't know am still confused, I was thinking about going by myself that will give me enough time to look after my sister"

"Oh that reminds me I met your sister earlier today I must confess she is a hand full, the way she talked down on Becky got me surprised"

"That is Brianna for you"

"Actually I like her" I told him but he gave me this look that says I don't want to see you next my sister dude.

"Dude Relax I didn't mean I like her in that way, I just like her confidence and her vibe" I said clarifying what I said.

"Brianna is very stubborn, actually she is stubbornness herself but am her big brother I need to be on her side all the time"

"You do know we are bestfriend right?" I have known Eric for at least seven months but our relationship is almost unbreakable even though we had our difference.

"Yeah I know"

"You can always trust me with your sister's safety"

"Thanks Dax, but how come you never visit my house for ones"

"Well, I never thought of that" just then Becky walked inside our class with a none smile face. She walked up to me looking very furious.

"Hey, I think I will talk to you later" Eric who noticed the tension between the both of us said before he left.

"Babe what's up with your mood?" I casually asked.

"Who is she?" She asked showing me the picture of the lady I was with all throughout last night.

"She was my babe for one night" I replied her but i received a slap. I wanted to react but decided to keep my cool, the class was beginning to pay attention to us.

When she raised her hand to slap me again I grabbed her hand dragged her out of the class.

"Let go of me you scumbag" I heard her say as I took her to a private space near the school garden.

"What is your problem, why are you acting like a child?"

"Am acting like a child, really Dax? You were out all night with that whore and you are asking me this questions?"

"You should have known am not a one girl type of guy so why are you over reacting?"

"Really Dax? Let me ask you a question what should we call our relationship, are we even dating?" I wanted to laugh, did she just say dating? Dating who?

"I told you I don't date Becky so why are you asking if we are dating?"

"I thought we finally found something special about our relationship?" She said with so much hurt on her face but I didn't care, I don't remember telling her to expect something from me.

"We are only having fun Becky, there is nothing else I can offer you"

"You know what, you are sick you need help" with that being said she left angry. Yeah that never gets old.

Brianna's POV

What just happened? I can't believe I just witnessed Dax dumping Becky. But wait he cheated on her but yet he was acting like he didn't care.

Actually he doesn't care at all, they had no idea I was there all this while. So that means Gia was right Dax might be a jerk after all.

But seeing that it was Becky he dumped I just didn't want to rush into conclusion, maybe Becky did something wrong.

Or Dax is just a heart breaker.
