Author's Pov'

The whole place was turning into a pool of blood since everyone was getting killed in a mafia war. Suddenly, a big blast of sound echoed over the whole place, making everyone flinch and stiffen in their place.

"fuck someone is trying to mess up with the bomb on the rooftop."

A devilishly handsome man with deep blue eyes like the ocean. A muscularly built body of 6'5 in height said while shooting his last enemy, who was now lying on his back with a loud thud.The man was about to leave the bloody place to clear his leftover enemies who were on the rooftop, but someone stopped him.

"Vincenzo, I'll check the rooftop.We need you here since more rivals will be here at any moment."

Jackson said with his one hand holding a gun while the other had a dagger.He was one of Vincent's close friends.Jackson and Vincenzo had started their training at a young age, as they were both mafia heirs. Well, not both, but yes, Vincenzo is a mafia heir and Jackson's father was Vincenzo's father's right-hand man, so in the process of following this tradition in the mafia world, Jackson had to take this path in order to follow this tradition. He went through this tough training and didn't have any problem with it as Vincenzo was his childhood best friend.Vincenzo nodded his head in approval and Jackson left for his hunting.

Vincenzo turned his head but saw a man who was about to stab him with a dagger in his hand.Vincenzo was fast enough to grasp his wrist and with that, he stabbed him in the stomach using that man's own dagger, who was now coughing blood through his mouth with eyes rolling Vincenzo again stabbed him using that boodly dagger in his chest making him dead on the spot.The man fell on the ground.Vincenzo looked at his other partner after killing that man and his eyes widened when he saw someone pointing the gun at his partner who was fighting while using his skilled hand.The man was ready to pull the trigger.

"Lorenzo! Watch out!"

Vincenzo quickly ran towards him and shot his rival, enemy,but was late as that man had already pulled the trigger and shot Vincenzo instead of Lorenzo, while Lorenzo turned towards him after stabbing the other one, but his eyes widened when he saw the scene infront of him.Vincenzo was about to fall on the ground but Lorenzo hurriedly held him by wrapping his hands around his stomach to stop it from bleeding where he got shot with the bullet.Blood was dripping through his stomach constantly while he was graining in agony.

"Vincenzo, we have to take you to the hospital as soon as possible."

Vincenzo shook his head in denial and pushed Lorenzo while trying to stand on his feet by himself.Mafia training is damned hard, and not to mention his stubbornness.If he wants something, then he'll go to any depth if it means to make that thing his, whether its legal or illegal doesn't matter his principal comes before and his one and only principal is to have anything he desired, he wants.

"I'm fine.No need to--"

He fell on the ground before he could complete his sentence.

'Elena's Pov'

"Lia, come on now, open your mouth and eat this like a good girl.In order to get well soon you have to eat healthy food."

I said, in order to feed the little girl who was sitting on the hospital bed.Lia shook her head in denial.

"No, I won't.I don't like these veggies. I have been eating it for one month.I wanna eat pizza. It's been long since I ate them."

Her mother looked at me with a worried expression.I gave a slight nod of assurance to her.

"Lia, see you're 9 yrs old now.You shouldn't trouble your mother like this. You know she loves you, right?And I promised that you'd be fully healthy like before, then a pizza treat would be from me. How about that?"

"Really, Miss doctor? OK, then if you keep your promise, then I'm willing to eat this."

She said in her cute ascent which melted my heart.

"You know I always keep my promise, so you don't need to worry about that, but you need to eat your food and medicines properly without any tantrums. OK?"

"Ok!"

We fist bumped our hands.Then she started to eat her meal and I ruffled her hair.I turned to her mother and gave her a smile, which she returned.

"Thanks, Doctor Elena.I'm really grateful to you."

"It's nothing, miss Sarah. It's my job to take care of people and to treat them and talking about Lia. She's my favourite.I'll come back tomorrow to check on her.I'll take my leave now."

I said and walked out of the ward as I was walking through the corridor while looking at my schedule.I thought about checking on my other patients as I was about to open the door knob of one of the patient's wardrooms, I heard some noises coming from the reception corner.Then I saw some nurses who were running towards the reception place.I felt something weird which I don't know what to name it and I don't have any time for that without wasting any time, I went towards the rceptionalist.

As soon as I arrived there my eyes widened when I saw the security guards were layingon the ground with their bloody bodies.I saw a muscular well built man who was standing in front of the receptionalist while yelling at her.The whole place was surrounded by their guards.

"S-sir,please calm down.First we need to confirm the info--"

The receptionist couldn't even complete her sentence as he banged the table hard with a gun in his hand.

"DO I LOOK LIKE I FUCKING CARE ABOUT YOUR SHITTY RULES?"

He yelled at her again and by now she was trembling in fear.I quickly went towards them.

"What's happening here? What's the matter?"

I asked Elva. By now she was a crying mess. I felt really bad for her, but I need to know what exactly happened there before I took any action towards it.She looked at me with her pleading eyes and answered in her trembling form.

"Dr. Elena, Mr.Lorenzo w-wants t-to admit h-his friend h-ere."

I frowned my eyebrows together and looked at him and looked at him.I knew this name since I had heard it many times on TV. He's one of the most powerful business men in the business world. Apart from this, he's involved in the Mafia world.

"S-since the hospital is owned by the government, we can't admit gangsters--"

Before she could complete her sentence, he pointed the gun towards her, ready to pull the trigger.

"You wanna die right, then let's fulfill your wish, shall we?"

"Sir, please calm down.This is a hospital and many patients are here."

He turned towards me and observed me from head to toe.I ignored his stares and turned towards the receptionist and ordered her.

"Elva, admit his friend and note down the information."

"B-but Dr.Elena, this could be against our hospital rules."

"No it's not.Everyone comes here as our patient, so it's our duty to serve and treat people. It doesn't matter if they're criminals or not.So do as I said." She nodded her head in anticipation.I turned around and looked at him but found him already staring at me with his amused gaze.

"Mr.Lorenzo, please put the gun down.Your friend will be fine."

A small smirk appeared on his lips.

"Thanks doc."

I nodded my head with gratitude and was about to leave, but Elva called me.

"Dr.Elena, we don't have any doctor available right now, but you."

I let out a sigh, trust me, I'm really tired.

"That's OK, I'll do it then."

"OK Doctor and thanks, miss Elena, for saving my life and the hospital by handling the situation.I thought I was about to die if you didn't come at the right time." She whispered to me and tried to smile.I gave her an assuring smile and patted her shoulder before leaving the place.

I went out of the ICU and looked around to find the patient's friend.Then I noticed him sitting in the waiting section with another guy.

"Excuse me."

I said to grab their attention.They both looked at me and stood on their feet literally hovering over me with their big, framed muscular bodies.

"The operation is successful.You can visit your friend now."

Lorenzo didn't say anything, instead he kept on staring at me with some unknown gaze.The other guy spoke, grabbing my attention.

"Hello doc.I'm Jackson King.Thanks for helping my friend.We are grateful for your kindness.Well, I have already paid the hospital bills. If anything more is needed, then just tell me."

"Yes I will"

I gave him a polite smile and left the place since that guy named Lorenzo was staring at me the whole time, making me nervous.

Author's Pov'

Jackson and Lorenzo entered the ward and noticed the intense gaze in Vincenzo's eyes, who was lying on the bed while staring at the wall infront of him with his dark gaze which was screaming danger.

"I'm glad that you're fine Vinc--"

Vincenzo closed his eyes in anger and turned his head towards them.

"I wasn't supposed to end up here man!"

His whole body was boiling with anger.

"Vincenzo, calm the fuck down!I know our plan was about to succeed but someone betrayed us at the very last moment by leaking the news to our rival."

Jackson tried to calm Vincenzo, who was ready to lose his goddamned temper.

"And who that fucking bastard is?"

Lorenzo lifted his face to look at Vincenzo.

"It's that old greedy brat James Martin and his son Thomas Martin."

Lorenzo stated, Vincenzo was shocked to hear those names as they had been in his team for years and now it was time for them to pay for their betrayal, as Vincenzo hated betrayals.He was thinking about ways to hunt his prey.

"They leaked the information since Norman had promised to pay them more."

Vincenzo smirked.

"They get blinded by money that they forgot whom they're fucking with and about the consequences when I discovered their betrayal." Vincenzo said while gritting his teeth.

"Well, talking about James Martin.I had something to--"

Suddenly, a nurse entered the room, interrupting them and that made Jackson to stop whatever he was about to confess. Jackson was about to say something to that nurse but Vincenzo signaled him not to by shaking his a little.The nurse greeted them with her trembling voice.

"S-sir, I'm o-ordered to check the blood bag and s-some other r-reports, may I?S-sorry for interruption."

The nurse said while sluttering, to which Vincenzo nodded his head in anticipation.While she was doing her job with her trembling hands, Vincenzo stared at her with his dark intense gaze, making her nervous when she was already.He licked his lips when he checked her out from head to toe.At one point she started to sweat and finished her duty instantly not wanting to stay there for a second as she was about leave but Vincenzo held her wrist in a tight grip

"Why in such a hurry, huh?Well, you ain't even my type, but I think I might still be able to do my work." He said, biting his lips.

"S-sir, I'm a married woman and h-have kids."

Her voice was shaking like she was on the verge of crying.Vincenzo wasn't in the mood for such things.He was just messing around to see how people feared him.He smirked and let go of her hand while she ran away from there.

"I'm not in a mood to fuck this boring cunt."

Vincenzo said and drifted his gaze again at the plain white wall.

"I'm more into that doctor."

He whimpered under his breath and bit his lower lip while thinking about Elena and other ways to fuck her.

Elena's Pov'

I stretched my arms while letting out a yawn and looked at the watch.It was almost time for me to go home.I gathered up my things and decided to check on my new patient before leaving for home.I turned my head towards my phone on the table when it rang.I looked at the caller I'D and quickly picked up as the call was from my house maid.

"Hello aunt Natali."

I cleared my throat before speaking.

"Miss Elena, your mother had been again having high fever since afternoon."

I let out a heavy sigh.

"Give her the medicine that I have already left on her nightstand.I'll visit her tomorrow."

"Ok"

I disconnected, the call and left my cabin.I entered the room and finally spotted Vincenzo, Guy, who was sleeping peacefully.I had already asked the nurse before to check on him and found everything was OK, in the reports which she forwarded me.A small smile appeared on my lips, when I noticed his, gorgeously handsome face.He is tanned in color which really beautiful I loved when mans are tanned in colour it gives them sexy look in my opinion as per my knowing he's could be 6ft or maybe above ok enough I shoudn't just stand here and stare at him like a creep and describe his amazing features which is clearly wrong but I had to admit that I'm physically attracted towards this guy which completely wrong for my position which was against the rule.

Who will say that he's a dangerous and ruthless mafia by staring at his cute face oops I shouldn't call a mafia cute but still he looks hot as hell and cute at the same time.I placed my palm on his forehead to check the temperature but suddenly he held my wrist making me shock.I gulped when I witnessed his dazzling eyes slowly got open and stared right into my soul.

"What are you trying to do, doctor?"

He asked while sitting on the bed with the beds back support.

"I'm sorry Mr. I didn't mean to wake you up.I was just checking your temperature, that's all."

I defended myself. He nodded at my statement and tilted his head to the side.He was staring at me with his intimidating dark gaze which was as dark as black colour.His eyes moved towards my lips making me flustered when I was already as caught me red hand.I tried to shrug my hand away, which he was holding but he din't let go.

"Mr.Vincenzo, let go of my hand.I have to leave now."

He shook his head, still staring at my lips making me nervous.

"I'm not in a mood to let you go now."

He stroked my hair stands behind my ears.His eyes are beautiful I had to admit it.Amber is my favourite eye colour despite the fact I don't have one but it's fine.I love my eye colour It's deep ocean like blue which looks crystal clear oh god! now isn't time for that Jesus Christ.

"What that supposed to be mean?"

I asked being frustrated.

"I don't want to let go of your hand Forever."

Author's Pov'

Not only was her beauty attracting him, but the main reason was he was feeling a pool of attraction towards her because of her innocence, which was crystal clear in her dark blue orbs.

"M-Mr Vincenzo, you can't hold my hand like this.I'm a doctor here and also there's a CCTV came--"

Before she could complete her sentence, he cut her off by saying.

"I don't care!"

He pulled her towards him, making her bump on his chest.A cold shiver ran through her spin when she saw his beautiful amber orbs from much closer now.He slowly leaned towards her lips, wanting to devour them, but she quickly shook her head to the other side and pushed him harshly.

"Excuse me Mr, this is a hospital and I'm a doctor here, not a slave or something, so behave yourself."

Elena ordered him, telling the Mafia how to behave. Not only the Mafia, but a soon-to-be Mafia King is something else.No one had the guts to say this until now.Which was attracting him more towards Elena.She turned towards the door, being flustered, and as she was about to leave he stopped her by saying.

"I know you're a doctor and I liked you as a doctor, but I'll like you more when you are beneath me, Elena."

Elena shivered, as it was the first time she had heard her name from him since he was admitted.Elena closed her eyes, being frustrated, while boiling in anger.She was frustrated, because this man made her feel things which had been buried a long time ago, and, angry with herself.She clenched her fist wanting to punch him so hard but unfortunately she can't since he was her patient with that she left from there not wanting deal with this man.

Next day! Elena went into her house which she had left a few years ago.She looked around to check if her father or brother was around.They were reasons for whom she had to leave her own house. Well, she never considered it as hers.Elena's mother remarried when her first husband died.Elena's mother, Dahlia.She never wanted to remarry, but as she was a single mother and it was getting hard for her to raise Elena all by herself. Neither she had any stable income nor could she get any job.One day, an old friend whom she knew from her college days.He confessed his love for her and proposed to her for marriage, as Dahlia was running out of money and raising a child all by herself was tough for her, so she accepted James's proposal and agreed to marry him as she thought he was kind and good hearted only if she knew.

Elena sighed with relief and went towards her bedroom.As she entered her mother's bedroom, she witnessed Dahlia lying on the bed with her weak body.Elena sat beside her and started to stroke her hair while Dahlia slowly opened her eyes as she knew who it was.She looked at her daughter with her loving eyes.

"My lovely daughter."

Dahlia placed her palm on Elena's cheeks while smiling weakly.

"Mom, why don't you listen to me?I clearly told you to take the medicine on time, didn't I?"

Elena scolded her mother.

"Oh my dear beautiful Ely, I'm already sick and weak enough.I'll die sooner or later.This medicine can't do much with it, we both know."

Dahlia said, which broke her daughter's heart.Dahlia had cancer.Elena tried everything she could to save her mother and was still doing it.She refused to accept because it was incurable.

"Please Mom, don't say it like that.I will cure you."

A tear made its way from her crystal blue eyes to her cheeks.Dahlia wiped her tears.

"My lovely Ely, tell me about you.Are you doing well?"

Elena held her mother's hand in hers and nodded her head while looking down.

"Oh come on, don't hide anything from me and tell me about your boyfriend."

Dahlia teased her daughter.

"Mom! I don't have a boyfriend and you knew that right."

Elena whined.

"Mom, I want to stay with you and want to take care of you and can't stop me from that."

Elena said, to which her mother rubbed her daughter's hands while shaking her head in denial.

"No Elena, No don't come back into this hell ever again.What you did a few years ago was the best decision ever now. Don't back off from it.Do you hear me?"

Dahlia said, not wanting to see Elena suffer.Dahlia couldn't do much but see her little daughter suffer, but not anymore.Elena grew up in this hell with only suffering. That was the reason why she decided to leave this house forever.She completed her graduation and got a scholarship for medical college. That was the year when she left her stepfather's house and had to do things on her own in order to grow independent and to free herself from all the torture and live a peaceful life on her own terms.She struggled a lot with lack of money.

She had no other choice but to do a part-time job side by side, but at last she made her dream come true with her hard work.

"Ely, you know your father and brother right.Once they get to know about your comeback they will try to destroy life and peace."

Dahlia said with worry that filled her eyes.Not only her stepfather, but her stepbrother too, they were both, devils.Dahlia was abused by her husband.When her stepbrother, Thomas, grew up, he too joined his father.Influenced by him, Thomas became a drug addict and turned, abusive.Not only Dahlia, but they used to beat Elena too and that was the reason Elena wanted end her sufferings and worked hard but she couldn't rescue her Mother from their violence.Elena wanted to admit her mother into the hospital where she was working but James refused thinking Dahlia will ran too and he will lose all the properties which Elena's grandfather had inherited to Dahlia.

"One day mom.I promise I will free you from this house too."

Elena said, to which her mother nodded her head weakly and smiled.

"Elena, you should leave now before its late."

Elena nodded her head.Dahlia kissed her forehead.As Elena went downstairs, fear was rising in her heart when she witnessed her father and brother as they were waiting for her arrival.Elena ignored them and was ready to leave, but her stepfather said something which made her stop.

"Where do you think you're going, Elena Martin?" Elena turned around and gave him a hard glare.How much she disliked this man had no limits.

"First of all, I'm not Elena Martin anymore. Anyway, I was never in the first place.I'm Elena Anderson and secondly, I'm here to treat my mom. Anything else?"

Elena said angrily. Usually she doesn't get angry so easily, but these two never fail to get on her last nerve.

"Oh my dear sister.Didn't you think of the consequences before coming here?hmm?"

He mocked her.

"And for you, don't you even think about doing anything to a self-independent woman like me who knows how to beat your ass up anytime by calling the cops and, if you want, just try me."

Elena said, being fierce.She was scared inside, but she believes that you should never show your weakness to your enemy, even at a certain point.

"Elena Martin!Mind your langu--"

"For your kind information, it's only Elena for you, Mr.James Martin."

James was giving her death glares, to which Elena shrugged it off and left Martin's Mansion, not wanting to waste any of her time on them.

Elena was driving to her apartment.Her mind was totally messed up remembering everything which happened a few minutes ago. A few cars came into her view in the middle of the road blocking her way.Elena stopped her car with full force and looked out of the window.

"fuck"

She cursed, panting heavily.Elena thought about why the hell there were so many cars parked in the middle of the road and blocking the goddamned road, but soon her eyes widened when she witnessed a familiar figure.She came out of the car to see what exactly was happening there. He looked at Elena and frowned his eyebrows a little.

"Woah!Doc.I didn't expect you to be here."

Elena looked towards him with her confused face.

"Neither me, Mr.Lorenzo.Can I ask you why the hell are you blocking my way?"

She asked.A small smirk appeared on his lips.

"Doctor, the first answer to my question, so tell me. Is your name Elena Martin?"

Lorenzo said and Elena's eyes widened in shock.She had never revealed her name to anyone because she never wanted to.

"Yes I'm."

His smirk only grew wider at her answer.In the next moment, Lorenzo pulled out his gun from his waistband and pointed at Elena, making her eyes widen with shock.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"You can't escape, Elena.Surrender yourself to us or else I have to kill you right here, right now, if you don't apply to it."

"W-what?"

Elena sultered, being scared.He scared the shit out of her with his gun stunt.

"Guards! Get her inside the car.Cabo now wants her!.She will be going to our doll house today!"
