Chapter 1 0. PROLOGUE

In the celestial realm of Elysium, where magic danced with sparkly winds of limited power was bustling with happiness as the newborn took birth after years of wait in realm.

All the Angels and Fairies prayed for the new one. Who was going to see the world for the first time. Many Angels and fairies walked infront of the room discussing about the new one's future an blessing her. Adorned in white dresses, little ones giggled running around soft ground.

Moon giggled at the sight of the creatures celebrating the undecided fate of the newborn.

A cry echoed in the room full of people. Oberon, the enigmatic rules of the fae entered with his servants in the hall and took the baby girl in his arms. Even the white falls of room could feel suffocation because of the sudden tension in the room.

"What is her name?" He asked, gazing the child with fascination and adoration. Soon the shining in his eyes faded and were now filled with dread. His eyebrows drew closer with fear as he cradled to baby in his arms, shushing her.

"Elara Gray."

He nodded as his white, long beard dangled as he started to bless the child. But when the child blinked open her eyes. He was startled by her. He realised she was no ordinary angel. Born under a shadowed moon and whispered about in ancient prophecies, she was destined to bring both light and darkness to the realms.

Those thick dark blue circles rotating in her eyes. He shuffled with her wrap up towel and open the area of her ears just to see elven ears perking up. He closed his eyes and whispered.

"She came, she came into this world. The curse broke and fall upon us." He roared lifting the child in his hands.

Whispers of fear and uncertainty rippled through the assembled fae, their gazes darting nervously between the child and their king.

"Who came?" Came a scared voice of someone's from the crowd.

"The cursed soul came, it was cursed years before us." Oberon roared the answer.

"Born of the union between light and shadow, she will be both a beacon of hope and a harbinger of doom." He declared cradling her fragile frame against his chest. He was admiring her but at the same time, he feared for his kingdom too.

"Now what do we do Oberon." Cried someone from the crowd.

"For now, change her name. We must protect her at every cost, even if she will be cause of our doom." He demanded, gazing at the child. His piercing gaze fall upon the shining moon as he gave a curt nod to his servant, making them scatter around the hall. Going in to the corners of the room they began casting a spell on the newborn making child snap open her eyes stare at the ruler. The chants of spell grew louder as he closed his eyes finish casting a spell on her.

"But there's a hurdle, she will be immortal." He announced, as the servant casted the veil over the huge window.

They all gasped at their Oberon's words. Fear making them take step back as they almost stepped out of the hall. These angels were different from the superior ones. They were made as mortals to protect the humans and guide them.

"How?" Cried her parents.

"If she used her Angelic powers while she got injured, then she will turn immortal." He revealed and several gasped echoed in the room.

"Now what to do." The crowd cried

"We should just wait for the right time." He advised caressing his beard and safely placed the child into crib. Her parents cried quietly as they heard meaningful things.

"They should be killed."

"Oh! What a cursed fate they have."

"Will this child bring us a good luck."

"I don't think the child is a good luck in itself."

"The child should be kill." Someone advised from the crowd. Horror gasps echoed in the room listening to the words.

"Enough. Don't even think about it, you all can't decide her fate. The Creator has already written her fate, nobody can change it." Oberon stopped them from passing any allegations to the parents and child.

"Don't trouble her, or if you did she will stand like a struggle for you." Advised the Oberon looking at Elara who softly slept in her crib unknown to her future. Even the strongest ruler of the realm couldn't lay open the mysteries of the Cursed Angel.

3 Years later

The street of the New Haven bustle with the crowds, as people dressed in colourful attires argued with shop keepers l, some enquired politely but some do not possessed the ability of patience and raised their voice by each passing second.

A boy ran along the streets barefoot. His torn shirt flying with wind and his dust pasted shorts dangled on his thin waist. His dirty hands and face searching for foods. That six years boy ran in the search of food. Wind blew around him, pitifully.

Entering the bakery shop he went to the shopkeeper and asked for some bean breads.

The shopkeeper packed his food items and gave him the food in return of some strawberries.

He ran back with the pack in his hands and collided with a boy who fell down after colliding with him. He saw some people running behind him and thought to help him Carrying him on his back he stood up, fixing the fragile body of the boy on his back. Huffing out a heavy breath he turned around.

"Child can I have a word with him." The man grumbled, stopping them.

"Why not, have a sentence with me or you can even go with a paragraph." The child on his back chirped, passing him a smile of his fallen teeth.

The othe child facepalm and ran away from there. His velocious speed made it easy for him to travel and his strength easily holding that child.

"Hey, why did you ran away like that? Je wanted to have a word with me." Asked the child on his back to the running child, twisting his mouth into a frown

"Seriously, on the scale of one to ten tell me? how stupid you are?" He asked frowning going far away from the street.

"Zero." The child on the back answered smugly.

"Then add one before it." He mocked and safely made him land on his feet. Huffing a heavy breath and grimacing remembering his bean bread pressed in his hands.

"By the way, myself Leo." The child climbed back down and said forwarding his hand for a handshake.

"Xavier, Xavier Jones." He shook his hand and went away living him alone there. Leo admired Xavier as he helped him from the man.

"Take care, Xavier!" He yelled waving his hands. Making Xavier wave back at him, taking out his bean bread. He began to gobble it down. Xavier was smarter than the children of his age. He knew business like the back of his hand. That's the reason he started trading veggies and fruits to live a life he wanted.

Chapter 2 1.

Ariana, Aria and Angelina stood rigid while taking an oath to complete their missions with utter sincerity and responsibility. It was new come for Angelina to an oath like this. She was going to turn eighteen this year. A task will decide her life, to be lived as an Angel or not. Amidst chaos in her mind, she stood straight. A pile of nervous coiling around her guts as she repeated the words after her sister.

Elysium was a world of pure beauty. A home to all the Angels, where they lived together and travelled to human world for their missions. Their only mission was to save human from the pawns of evil. The diamond under her palm grew bright with different colours. Angelina drew her brows together, she was told about the glowing diamond. The colour will tell her about her powers. But, seeing so many colours together made her thinking shut down.

As the oath came to an end, she straightened her eyes to her elder sister.

"Sister Aria, what does this colour tells about my power." Pointing at diamond in her hand she asked.

Aria's face twisted into a frown, she herself was confused. Her hand raised to pat Angelina's shoulder, assuring her.

"Everything will be clear. Let me have a talk with Aiden." Gently, taking the diamond in her gloved hands she walked to her husband.

Aiden stood in the podium. Adorned in a white dress. Desperate for her wife's arrival. His gaze lingered on the figure as he narrowed his eyes. A sigh of relief escaped from his mouth as he neared her. She took her steps with sheer elegance. She wasn't near any high spirits like Gabriel but she knows what she powers she possess and who she is.

"What does the diamond says, Aria?" His question rushed out eagerly as he held her shoulder in his soft grip.

Without saying anything, she raised her hands, showing him the glowing diamond. It shone bright with rays of uncountable colours illuminating from it.

Aiden's mouth dropped, he couldn't possess any thoughts. His eyes glowed with the reflection. As he raised his hands to grasp his hold on diamond.

"This is far beyond our powers." Aiden muttered, his chest tightening as he realised the upcoming future of his sister in law.

Aria sensed his 'but' and nudged him to go on. Her eyes shone with fear.

"But, Angelina's mission is going to be tough. We can only pray for her." He heaved a sigh into the air. Aria gulped before closing her eyes. This couldn't be happening. But, she knew it. One day or the other Angelina have to face her fate. Seems like Aria can't hide the secret anymore. A silent wave of emotion passed through them as they consoled each other, eyes shining with pure fear.

On the other hand, Ariana nudged Angelina with gloved elbow, making her snap out of her reverie.

"Sister Angelina, are you excited for your future first task." Ariana cheered, her curly red hairs bouncing with the turn of her head.

"I sure am. But, nervous is overpowering it." Angelina spoke truth, knotting her fingers together. Eyes furrowed in fusion.

"Few days more, and we will be back on earth. How is the experience going on?" Ariana changed the topic, seeing her nervous. Red ruby diamonds dangling from her ears.

Angelina's gloved fingers raised in her sister's ears direction. A different look in her eyes.

"The experience is good far most. But, I can't understand. Why am I so different from you all?" Dropping her hands she glanced over her reflection in the holy water. Long pointed ears, white pupil eyes with platinum hair reflected back. She was pure white. None of the Angels from Elysium was white, everyone had a colour to reflect their powers. But she didn't yet still her diamond glowed with in numerous colours.

Aria's soft steps with pure elegance made them turn around and wave at her.

Aria, the eldest sister, radiated with a serene grace that captivated all who beheld her. Her wings shimmered like iridescent pearls, and her golden halo emitted a soft, celestial glow. She was known for her wisdom and compassion, often sought after by other angels for guidance and counsel.

Ariana, the middle sister, was the embodiment of passion and courage. Her fiery red wings blazed with intensity, matching the fervor of her spirit. She possessed a quick wit and a mischievous grin that could brighten even the darkest corners of Elysium.

Angelina, the youngest sister, was a vision of purity and innocence. Her wings were the color of freshly fallen snow, and her laughter echoed like tinkling bells across the heavens. She had a gentle nature and a heart overflowing with kindness, always seeking to bring joy to those around her.

On this particular day, the sisters had gathered in the garden of Elysium for Angelina's oath, surrounded by blooming flowers and sparkling streams. As they basked in the warm embrace of the sun, Aria spoke, her voice melodious like the whisper of the wind.

"Dear sisters," she began, her eyes sparkling with warmth, "I have been contemplating the wonders of creation, and I cannot help but marvel at the beauty of our world."

Turning to Angelina, she caressed her sister's arm with pure adoration making her nervousness and doubts fly away from her mind.

"Sister Angelina, things have been worked out wonderful in your way. Soon, you will be bestowed with your first mission. Our prayers and guidance are with you." Addressing Angelina she soothed her thoughts.

Ariana chuckled, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Ah, but sister, you always find wonder in the simplest of things. Why, just the other day, you were enraptured by a mere mortal's painting of a sunset." Her words contrasts to Aria's earlier words.

"And yes, even my wishes are with you." Tilting her head she continued nudging Angelina again making her shake her head and laugh on her words

Aria smiled indulgently. "Indeed, sister, for in every stroke of color, I see the hand of our Creator. Is it not a marvel that even mortals possess the spark of divinity within them?"

Ariana couldn't help but roll her eyes on her sister's hard words, which she couldn't digest. Aria always had her way with words. She spoke with sheer elegance and graceful-ness.

Angelina nodded eagerly, her eyes wide with wonder. "Oh yes, sister! I believe that every living being is a testament to the infinite love and creativity of our Creator."

Ariana rolled her eyes playfully. "Oh, spare us your poetic musings, Ariana. Sometimes I think you spend too much time frolicking in the clouds and not enough time embracing reality." She couldn't help but let out a chuckle in the end.

Angelina stuck out her tongue in mock indignation. "Well, at least I have a sense of wonder, unlike some angels I know who are too busy lecturing us about the mysteries of the universe."

Aria chuckled, a twinkle of amusement in her eyes. "Now, now, my dear sisters, there is no need for such bickering. We each have our own perspectives to share, and it is through our differences that we learn and grow."

Ariana grinned mischievously. "Oh, but where would be the fun in that, sister? I much prefer our lively debates and spirited banter."

Aria shook her head fondly. "You will never change, will you, Ariana? But come, let us set aside our differences for now and enjoy this moment of tranquility together." She was successful in making Angelina forget about the glowing diamond. Only their Creator knows with what fate she is going to be blessed.

The sisters continued to laugh and converse, their voices blending harmoniously with the melody of the celestial realm. For in the bond they shared, they found strength, joy, and the truest expression of love.

Chapter 3 2.

Hues of sunlight fell on earth waking up people and pushing them to start with their days.

A relief of sigh escaped her lips when she realized that she can't keep an eye contact with the huge shining ball. Smiling she stood there caressing her arms as wind touched her lightly making her relax at the feathery touch. It felt good to be back on earth for her mission. She was yet to come around the age but she took an oath and was positive on herself.

Standing on the highest peak in the woods she sighed. Her deep blue eyes shining with gratitude as she thanked the mother nature with wide smile on her for making her see the amzing morning again.

Angelina's POV

Morning. I love morning, cause they smell magical. I heard shuffling and turned around to be met with him. His eyebrows rose demanding an answer.

"Was I aumm," I stuttered seeing him staring directly in my eyes.

"How many times should I tell you, that you are not allowed here?" He asked tilting his head, his skin shining in the sunlight.

"Umm, I was just taking a stroll. Trust me I never want to hurt you." I admitted taking a step back.

"Oh dear, it's not about hurting me, its all about you. You are a human and you shouldn't be here in the early morning." He stated. Only if he knew who am I. Haha some creatures on earth are scary. I should have known after coming here. But what a fate, haha. I should really go from here before this man do something.

"Tch. Tch. It seems like you are more interested in being a breakfast than living your life." Passing me a sarcastic remark he sneered.

I tried not to let out something unusual which will make me fall into the pit of struggle.

"No, I am just going back." Murmuring enough loud for him to hear, I sprinted away from him.

What a way to get yourself caught Angelina. What a way. I should be rewarded for this. Reaching in the middle of the woods I sat feeling exhausted. Really, I should eat more. But right now I need to go back before they catch me again and this time they will devour me like a feast. Closing my eyes I thought of my bed and whispered "invisibilia" and soon was teleported on my bed.

*knock knock*

Perfect timing.

"Angel wake up," she says as she opens the door and Eric follows after her. Such a mommy boy.

"Oh my girl! You are awake but not ready. Go and have a bath, till I take your clothes out." She rambles after watching me in my pjs shaking her head in denial. Why everyone here is so exaggerating.

"Listen here, you little gum bag. I can hear your thoughts. Quieten them down before I throw you out of here." She casually announced passing me small knowing smile. Aria always have to scare me like that.

"Sorry." I sighed biting my tongue and went for bath quickly as I know once the lectures start its going to take forever to end. Haahhh!.

After finishing my business I went down to see the little munchkin munching on chocolates and giggling as his aunt continues to scold him.

"Eric you are not going to eat chocolates anymore." Aria scolds Eric who is busy eating chocolate and ignoring her skillfully sitting on the middle of L-shaped sofa.

I laughed out loud when I saw Eric in that situation. He is looking so cute wearing that baby blue coloured onesie. And he has chocolate all over his mouth. He is looking so cute. Awe.

"Oh my baby you are looking so cute." I said and plopped beside him. Taking the tissues from Aria's hand I said,-

"Aria let me clean him."

"Okay, you clean him till then I will make the breakfast ready." Saying this she went in the kitchen to help.

"Oh my baby come lets clean you up." I beamed at him and starts cleaning his mouths and hands with wet wipes kept there.

"Breakfast is ready." Aria announced in the meantime making me rush towards the table.

[~]

Parting my hairs in two I braided them neatly and made a bun. Finishing up my hairstyle I stood and sauntered outside.

"Eric how am I looking?" I asked Eric who was playing with his stuff toy.

He saw me and started making kissing sounds with his pouts. Awee my baby is such a cutie.

"Angelina!" I heard Ariana calling me and went downstairs with Eric in my arms, giggling.

Life is so beautiful. And fair.

[~]

He relieved a sigh feeling cold air covering his throat making him take out his water bottle and chug down half of the bottle. Rustling caused by his own feet making him walk faster. "Not again," he whispered as he saw beam of light falling on his feet.

He wanted to see the rising sun just to prove he is fastest than it. But he forgot no one can beat the mother nature. Sighing he turned around to go but a stiletto caught his eyes. Something in him told him to follow it, and he followed reluctantly.

He saw her standing there and murmuring something making him more confuse. He can smell her blood. Why would be some one be here at this time. That too in pjs he thought. She walked a bit and turned around making him caught a little sight of her deep blue ocean eyes. Her smell of blood alluring to him.

He hide behind the tree to not get caught. But what he saw next caught him off guard. He saw her disappearing in to the golden mist in thin air. It felt like she was not there. She just disappeared into the thin air.

He went where she was standing just a moment ago and turned around several times trying to see where she disappeared.

"I am probably still in sleep," murmuring he rubbed his eyes till he can see everything in blur.

Sighing his gaze went towards a small narrow river flowing. Making fear grip his heart. He took a step back, beads of sweat forming on his pale skin. His beautiful features stood proudly on his face. His bun braids shining in the sunlight.

Xavier's POV

For the starters I hate morning and in the conclusion I hate morning. Just imagine forcing yourself to wake up every morning when you don't even have a single reason to just because you were born by someone whose face you haven't seen.

Truth to be told that huge shining ball in the sky always drains my energy, now a days. I even feel weak everytime coming in the daylight. But I don't know why. Ringing of my phone bring me back in the reality.

*ring ring*

Swiping the to call to answer I kept my phone on my left ear.

"BRO!"

"Its 6 am in the morning Leo. No need to be so loud." I yelled back to him as he just couldn't stop damaging my ears.

"You remember what's today?" I heard his voice with some shuffling in the background.

"Ofcourse, I know how to use this brain unlike you."

"Bro isn't this too much sarcasm for early in the morning." I can hear his frown and I can also imagine him making quotations sign in air. He is so fed up from my habit but c'mon I only got him, Mark and my dear granny for the rest of my life.

"And you think I will stop." Grinning I replied back tripping on the ground. A quit yelp escaped. And I laughed.

"Whatever just get your ass up and then we will rock. Ohhh I am so excited. Ehhh." In the end, he shrieked like a girl making me laugh. Hanging up the call I wandered around. Whatever, that girl's blood smelt heaven. A little taste will satisfy my thirst. Maybe.

"Hey, You young boy!" Someone called making me stop in my track.

I turned around just to meet with ground. Woah, that rhymes. Looking up I was met with a bulky and heavy men. His darkened blazing eyes is scaring me but I know how to run fast.

"Don't think too much boy. Just go to you home." He fumed. His eyes assessing my every move. His blood smells like piney scent. Hmm interesting.

"Boy, you are new here. I should advise you. This forest is not good specially for humans like you." He suggested shifting his weight on another foot.

I nodded my head in affirmation. He walked away without giving me glance.

'Boy, stay away from sun and running water'. A voice in my head whispered. Who is this and what does this person or may I say non-human want from me.
