Vampire Prince: The Forbidden Desires

At the north side of the Night Kingdom reigned by the vampire royalties King Vladimir West and his son Prince Jason West, is the Black Meadow Forest that lies beside the humanitarian ground. This forest is abandoned and unvisited by many due to protection of the Fairies that live in Fifth Star, another world connected to Earth via a portal in the center of the said forest.

The leaves on the trees move as the cold night wind blows upon them. At the roadside of the forest, on one of the tallest pine trees, there is a man who stood in one of its branches while his cold pale white hand held on to the trunk of the tree. At first glance, he could be mistaken for a human, but his golden pair of eyes, mesmerizing face, and hidden long canine affirms that he is indeed a vampire. But, not any normal vampire, he is Prince Jason West, the strongest and fastest known vampire, apart from his father on their land that even other species fear him as well.

Beneath him, across the road is a bungalow house which has a bedroom window that can be vividly seen from his position with the help of his inhuman senses. He closed his eyes and let those senses works for him; the sound of bats, water drops, rustling of trees, and chirping birds could evidently be heard by him from miles away, and the intoxicating rose fragrance that the winds blew towards him from the woman in the bungalow house almost made him swoon over.

Inside the bungalow house is Glaiza Roberts, his human friend whom he openly declares his love for but she never took it seriously. He stares at her from afar; how her brown hair sways as she moves, her brown eyes sparkle behind her golden metallic eyeglasses, and how her pink sexy lips smile as she dances to the music that plays inside her bedroom.

This is his everyday routine. Every night, right before he goes home and rests, he would go in that certain tree to admire Glaiza from afar. Glaiza is like an unreachable star for him. So close, yet so far.

Despite the reality that the three species - humans, vampires, and werewolves, have reconciled, united, and try to live in peace together on Earth after the red war and the 2nd war that recently happened, it is still near to impossible for them to fully trust each other and do the unwritten forbidden love. These three species could never be in a relationship that is not their same kind.

"How long are you going to stand there, and cringe me out?" Chris, the leader of the knights, which are the guards of Royal vampires, spoke to him as he suddenly appeared and sat down on the same branch where he stood.

Jason glimpsed at him as he said, "Who told you to follow and observed me anyway? You have no right to complan."

"Actually I do, King Vladimir has asked for your presence in the kingdom," Chris replied as he stood as well and made a slight bow as a respect.

"What does that old man want now?" Jason thought to himself as he scratched the back of his smooth black hair, before he took a one last glimpse towards Glaiza.

"Come on then," he said as he looks at Chris and dashes through the wood with immense speed. The tree leaves move while the young plants sways as he dashes like a wind. Behind him is Chris who's following him in full speed.

On the other hand, at the back of the Night Kingdom's palace, there is a big veranda where King Vladimir is leaning his arms on as he looks at the dark night. The only lights he has is the lights that the moon emits on their land. He is deep in thoughts as he stares into nothing.

"Do you think immortality is a great thing?" Vladimir asked without diverting his eyes from the moon. Jessica Steven, one of their people who secretly looks at him from behind the post came out of hiding.

"Forgive me, my King. I do not intend to invade your privacy, I just worry that you might need anything," she said as she bowed down.

Vladimir glanced at her for a second and nodded before he moved his hand in a motion for her to continue and answer his question. This time, Vladimir turned around and leaned his back on the railing while paying attention towards her.

Jessica let out a bitter smile before looking at Vladimir and answering his question, "Nothing is great about immortality but greed of time, my King. It is a curse which made us see how the world shatters every passing day without changes on our side. However, I'll be willing to be greedy if I'll have the person whom I love beside me through those coming times." This she answered honestly.

"You called, Dad?" Prince Jason said as soon as he walked in the veranda. He did not immediately see Jessica, but once he did he gave her a smile.

A hidden smile came to Jessica before she looked at Vladimir, "I'll go and give you both privacy," she said as she turned around to leave.

Jason pushes himself up and sits on the railings as he looks and asks his dad for the reason as to why he has called him.

Vladimir came to face him with seriousness on his face as he looked closer towards him, "You'll need to get married, 3 months from now."

"What?" Jason asked with shock as he abruptly went down from the railing and came face to face with his dad.

Jason was bewildered by his father's announcement. He wonders since when did his father have any power to dictate his decision, especially when it comes to when he would marry and to whom he shall be married.

"You heard it right. You are the prince of this kingdom and it is your obligation to bear an offspring. I need you to be married within 3 months and have a child before a year," Vladimir instructed his son. However, Jason finds no sense into the words that his father utters.

Jason looked at his father seriously and walked closer to where he is, then he raised his hand and suddenly placed it on his father's head before he tilted his head. "Are you sick? But that is impossible," he said while he blinks multiple times as if he is thinking seriously.

"I am not joking, Jason," Vladimir firmly said as he brushed off his son's hand.

"Come on, Dad. Since when did you bother with my love life?" Jason asked as he sulked and sat down on the railings again.

"You would be marrying Jess," Vladimir said straightforwardly towards his son.

"Jess? As in Jessica Steven? You've got to be kidding me!" Jason asked his father. He can't believe that his father is really marrying him off, and what is worse is that he can't choose the woman he loves.

On the other hand, Jessica tightened her grip on the tray she was holding. Since it looks like the father and son have some serious things to talk about, she instantly came down to the pantry after she left the veranda and prepared glasses of their favorite O+ blood.

However, she did not expect to hear them talking about a marriage between her and Prince Jason whom she secretly loves all along. What hurts more is that she knew Prince Jason would never set his eyes on her, because his heart already belongs to a human girl.

Jess dejectedly turned around, placed back the blood on the pantry and came to the forest. She dashed to the woods and stopped at the cliff at the east side of the forest. She sat down on the edge and looked at the moon as she remembered that one full moon when she first met her Prince as a human.

-------FLASHBACK-------

"You worthless piece of shit!" Gasvin, Jessica's father, shouted as he slapped her with immense force with the back of his hand, causing her to fly a few feet away and fell into the ground with blood on her mouth.

With a bruise and aching body, she stood up with all her might and ran out through the door. She heard her father but she never turned around. This time she wants to seek freedom from him. Her father is a drunkard and violent, all her life she could not remember a day that her father did not hurt her.

After a while, she heard footsteps after her, not daring to look behind her, she quickened her pace and run until she didn't see that she had entered the Black Meadow Forest which no one came into.

The footsteps were able to chase her still, and she felt that she got elevated when a strong arm grabbed her small waist and carried her before throwing her to the ground.

"You gave me a hard time, little girl." The man about his 30's said as he menacingly walks towards her while she crawls backwards on the ground. Fear is already starting to consume her as another man comes afterwards.

"She ran fast," the man said as he catches his breath and smirks, "but looks worth it," he continued and that made tears drop from Jess' face. The two men obviously had a few drinks by how their breath stinks, and how they sway every now and then. The smirk on their faces and looks in their eyes as they run it from her bare legs up to her innocent gorgeous face, makes Jessica want to vomit in disgust.

She attempts to run but the man in his 30's pinned her down and sniffs her neck as the other man holds her ankle and brushes his hand on her legs.

"Help!" Finally, despite fear eating her alive, she got the courage and strength to finally shout at the top of her lungs. Jess started to burst in tears as she closed her eyes and stopped her struggles. However, as soon as she is about to give up, the weight of the two men are released.

Opening her eyes she saw the most beautiful man with golden eyes. She felt relief when she looked to her side to see that the two men were dead, but fear came into her again as the man with golden eyes opened his mouth, making her see his canines. 'He is a vampire' she thought to herself as her heartbeats increased and pounded on her chest while the vampire slowly walks towards her, grabbed the back of her head, and bit her neck

"Now never cower in fear again, fight when you must..." Jess utters while looking at the moon. It was the first thing that Jason had said to her after her transformation. Apparently, Jason was on one of the trees back then and saw what happened. He took pity on her, helped her, and transformed her.

Jessica never wished to be a vampire, but she would always be thankful for what Jason had done for her.

"What are you doing here?" Jessica abruptly stood up from shock when she heard a familiar voice.

"Prince Jason," Jess said and slightly bowed down as Jason came out from the trees.

"How many times do I need to tell you that there is no need for you to address me in such a manner?" Jason asked her to remind her before he sat down on one of the big rocks at the side of the cliff.

"Right, I always happen to forget," Jessica said as she sat down on the ground, facing Jason. They actually became friends since their first encounter, but Jessica is so stubborn that she still addresses him properly; at least when they are in public.

"You heard my father, didn't you?" Jason asked her gently as he observed her reaction. Her long black hair flew back as the wind blew towards her, and her pink lips smiled bitterly. There are also evident changes on how her eyes lost its glows.

Right after he made a reaction after his father's declaration of him marrying Jess, he smelled the familiar vanilla scent of hers and knew instantly that she had heard him. Thus, he only shook his head on his father and said, "I would not marry anyone, unless the bride would be Glaiza Roberts," with that, he ran off and followed Jessica into the forest.

"Too disgusted to be married to me?" Jessica asked with a sad smile towards him.

Jason suddenly felt guilt on how he had reacted as he can see that Jess looked offended.

"No...that is not what I meant...It is just..." Jason tries to explain with evidence of guilt when Jss suddenly erupted into a laugh and continued his sentence.

"It is just you stupidly falling in love with a human girl, whom you can't sweep off from her feet?" Jess teasingly asked him with a raised eyebrow and a smirk.

Jason gritted his teeth as he replied to her, "Do you want to die?"

"Already did once, when you have transformed me," she replied mockingly.

Jason stood up, annoyed, and looked down at her before he spoke, "Can't I ever talk to you properly?"

"I could say the same for you..." Jess said as she laughed out loud while looking at Jason's annoyed face.

"Woke up at the wrong side of bed?" Jason teased Glaiza as he sat down on the opposite side of Glaiza. They are both currently at the cafeteria. Glaiza has numerous sweet and junk foods in front of her while Jason has blood, packaged like a juice.

Glaiza glares at him as she munches on her burger. "I miss Selena," she said while looking at him.

"Ouch," Jason dramatically said as he placed his hand on his chest before pulling his chair closer to Glaiza and leaned closer to her as he speaks, "Why asked for someone who is not here?"

Selena is their werewolf friend who is currently on a honeymoon with her husband Alpha Jace of La Luz de la Luna Pack.

"Jealous of them? You could accept my heart and marry me then. What do you think?" Jason said as he leaned closer to her that their faces are only an inch apart. Glaiza stopped munching her burger and slowly put it down as her heart palpitated due to his statement. She hardly swallowed the remaining food inside of her mouth which caused her to cough as she almost choked.

Jason smirked then and opened the bottle of water that was on the table to give it to her. Glaiza accepts it but Jason won't let it go. She pulls more forcefully while Jason still stares at her.

Jason winked at her before letting go of the water bottle and letting her drink. He subtly laughed and properly sat down as he heard how fast and loud Glaiza's heartbeat is. If only she would start to admit to him that she actually has feelings for him. Then, everything would be better as he would just marry her instantly and his father won't be able to force him into a marriage with Jess.

"Are you trying to kill me?" Jess said as she coughs and placed the currently empty water bottle down on the table as he glares at Jason who remains smirking.

"Killing you with sweetness? Yes, I sure am." Jason replied as he grabbed one of the cupcakes on the table and placed it close to her mouth to feed her.

Glaiza's cheeks turn into crimson red as she hides her excitement with annoyance by forcefully grabbing the cupcake from him and munching on it while glaring at Jason.

"You'll marry me soon. My cupcake." Jason said with a smirk as he suddenly kissed her cheek and dashed off.

With her hand on her cheek, Glaiza swallowed down her food and closed her eyes.

"What the hell, Jason..." she said as she quietly squeals in excitement. 'You can't fall. Remember Glaiza, you can't fall.' She thought to herself as she looked out of the window beside her table and saw the figure of a disoriented woman looking at her from afar.
