Vampire King's Obsession

Chapter One

Author POV

Inside the very large vampires' den, a ray of light, penetrating in from nowhere, flashed on the throne, which was adorned with nothing, but gold, looking shiny and all beautiful.

The atmosphere tensed up, as all the vampires in the den, stood on their feet, and maintain straight faces, they all looked like they were waiting for someone.

Minutes later, a violent wind filled the entire place, and slowly, a strong scent, filled every inch of the atmosphere, followed by a dark and intimidating aura, sending shivers down their spines. The atmosphere tensed up, as fear gripped all of them.

Meanwhile, sitting on the throne now, is a figure, dressed in all black, with a big black cloak, on his body, the big hoodie, covering his head, making his face invisible, but anyone could tell that he is a dangerous creature.

Standing up on his feet, slowly, he took his hand to his head, and held the tip of the hoodie, before letting it fall off his face, revealing the most beautiful face ever. Yes, he's beautiful, he is a man, but saying he's cute or handsome, is an understatement. His lips are the most perfect lips, which you would kill to have a taste of, his pointed nose, the most beautiful of them all, which your fingers would itch to touch at every glance of it, his flawless and spotless skin, glows, even under the darkness, his eyebrows, are thick and looked perfect on him, making him more handsome, his long eyelashes, are longer and beautiful than that of most women, his eyes, are the rarest color, deep green, shining brightly under the darkness, his thick black hair, clinging on to his head, with some strands, covering a part of his face, his height is just perfect, and his body shape, the most perfect one. Yes, he's Kai Ryder, the very dangerous Lucifer, the king of all vampires, not just the king, but the most dreaded one, the most dangerous creature that ever walked on the phase of earth, his dark and intimidating aura, kills faster than anything.

He has been in existence for centuries and lives in the forbidden den, which is located in the basement of a mansion. To people, they believe that the house is just a mansion, but no one knows that there's a secret, a dangerous one, behind the mansion, which is the den in the basement.

A lot of scientists, after hearing of the existence of the mysterious creature, have been to the den for research, but none of them ever came out alive, and the secret behind their death, has always been a mystery, as no one could tell what happens to all the scientists.

"Lucifer!" They all bowed slightly while staring down at their feet, nobody dares to look him in the face, nobody dares to go on a suicide mission, looking him in the eyes.

"Miguel..." His deep voice, surrounded by a dark aura, came on, sending shivers down their spine. They keep drowning in their own fear, as they awaited what the king has to say. As much as they want to be calmed, his aura keeps telling them otherwise, and they could only get nervous.

"Lucifer." Came one of the vampire's voices, before a young handsome vampire, stepped out to the front, his gaze strictly fixed on the floor, as he felt the dangerous creature's aura, consuming him.

"Bring him here." He ordered while staring into space, not tilting his head to look at the vampire, standing before him. His face held so much danger, and with every that passed, his aura only gets more dangerous and intimidating.

Miguel bowed slightly, and in a second, he teleported out of the den in a hazy mist form, and in the next seconds, he appeared again, but this time, he had someone else with him, a young man, who was looking all weak and tattered, anyone would know that he must have been through a lot, judging from how he looks.

Miguel pushed the man to his knees, and he could only, as he was too weak to object.

The side of his lips twitched into a dangerous smirk, as he stared down at the man, but the smirk only lasted for a second, as it dissipated slowly, into a deep frown, with his aura, consuming them all.

"I don't have the habit of repeating myself. Who sent you?" His cold deep voice came on, as he stared down at the man, with his hands, crossed behind him.

Meanwhile, the man stared down at the floor, drowning in his fear, as he anticipated his death, he know that he won't be spared, he know that his end is finally here he know that his doom, is standing right before him, and there's nothing or anyone, that can save him. He opened his mouth to talk, but his mouth failed him, as it only trembled. Balls formed on his forehead, and his whole body trembled in fear. As much as he want to run, he know it'll be pointless, he know that he can never outrun the devil, no matter how he tries to, now he found himself, regretting ever coming into the den, it all dawned on him, that the beast in human form, standing before him, have always been the secret, behind all those scientists death. His mind wandered off to his family, who must've been looking for him for the past days that he had been missing, as a drop of tears, strolled down his cheeks.

"Don't make me repeat myself!" His cold deep voice echoed in the den, sending chilled sensations down their spines. His dark and intimidating aura, keeps radiating in the den, consuming every single soul. As much as they want to be strong, and not get affected by it, but can they do it?

Meanwhile, the man sat weakly on the floor, gazing at the floor, while anticipating for his death, knowing nothing can ever save him.

Lucifer stood staring at the man, as anger surged through him, his deep green eyes, suddenly changed to blood red, his perfect white teeth, grew slowly, until they grown into fangs, his perfect fingers, kept growing, until they were now claws, his aura darkened, igniting their fears. In a flash, he teleported to the man, and held his hair roughly, tilting his head, and in the next second, he plunged his fangs on his fresh neck...

Chapter two

Lilly POV

The sound of my blaring alarm, jolted me out of my deep slumber, and I groaned tiredly and angrily, before forcing my eyes opened. Damn! I can't believe I'm going to school again, can't I rest for once, huh?

I yawned tiredly, and sat up on the bed, before getting on my feet, after which I dragged my feet to the bathroom. Stepping into the bathroom, I stripped out of my clothes, and threw it to God knows where, before getting under the shower, as I let the water down my body, touching every part of me.

After a few minutes of having my bath, I turned off the shower, and tied a towel around my chest, before stepping out of the bathroom. Walking into the room, my eyes darted to Nina, who was still sleeping deeply on the bed, like she's having a day off from school today, and I just couldn't help shaking my head. I thought I'm the laziest person on earth, not until I met Nina, she's worse than me.

Dragging my feet to where she is laying, I tapped her, while calling her name, and the lazy girl just groaned and tossed on the bed, before continuing her sleep. Oh! Heaven knows that I'm not going to wait for her to wake up before going to school today.

"Nina cmon stand up we're having class this morning, can you stop being a lazy ass." I groaned frustratingly, as I held her hand, and started dragging her, but she didn't still move.

"Just one more minute Lil..." Her words were cut in her mouth, as she landed on the floor in a loud thud, yes, I just dragged her till she fall off the bed, that's the only way to wake her up.

"Argh! Lilly what's all these?" She cried out in pains, as she stood up, while rubbing her buttocks. Serves her right.

"I was just trying to wake your ass, stop making me look like I'm wicked. Anyways, we're running late for school, are you going or not?" I rolled my eyes at her, as I headed to the dresser, and made myself comfortable, before taking my time to apply lotion on my skin.

"Whatever!" She groaned angrily, before heading to the bathroom, while I chuckled softly, not taking my eyes off the mirror.

After applying lotion and a light makeup on my face, I stood up and headed to my wardrobe, where I picked a neatly ironed long blue jean trousers, and a pink baggy shirt, before wearing them. It's winter now, so you aren't expecting me to wear something light, right? You wouldn't want me freezing to death, yeah?

After what seemed like forever, Nina finally came out, and got dressed, and once she was done, we headed out of the dorm room, and in the next few minutes, we were already outside the dorm, and heading to the school. Since the school is not too far from the dorm, strolling down there, wouldn't be a problem, right?

After walking and talking about random things with Lilly for what seemed like forever, we finally got to the school, and climbing the staircase that leads to the veranda, we walked our way through the veranda, till we got to the entrance door, that leads to the hallway. Walking through the hallway, we made our ways straight to the class.

Walking into the class, the loud noise died down, as the atmosphere became tensed. I walked over to my seat with Nina, trailing behind me.

My name is Lilly Bron Louise, a twenty years old young lady, the first born of my poor widowed mom, student of Beverly Hills college. I have two other younger siblings, Ethan and James.

I'm just in my third year in the school. I am the class representative, so everyone respects me alot, even the lecturers. Not to brag, but I am beautiful, with perfect shape, a pair of brown eyes, pointed nose, pink lips, thick eyebrows, long eyelashes, average height, and a perfect voice. I am nice and jovial, but I can be very crazy, mess with me, and you're done for, did I forgot to add this? I got to Beverly Hills through scholarship, because my poor widowed mom can't afford to sponsor me to school. I have a best friend, she's Nina, and she's just as crazy as I am, but she's one hell of a frustration....

Unknown POV

For the past years, I've been looking for a way to avenge for my parents death, but never got a chance, and now that I have the chance, letting it slip off my fingers, without taking my revenge, is the last mistake on my mind.

For the past years, I've been living in nothing, but pains, living each day of my life, looking forward to the day I'll make him pay for everything, for the past years I've been dying inside, hearing about the person that took away my happiness, hovering the city, it hurts. He took away my happiness, and left me stranded, he took away everything from me, and as if that wasn't enough, he turned me into a monster, and now is the time to pay for everything.

Walking over to the mirror, I slowly took my hand to my head, and held the tip of the big hoodie over my head, before letting it fall off, revealing my handsome face.

Staring deep into the mirror, anger surged through me, as my eyes changed to blood red. This is how I've been living for years of my life, this is how I've lived each day of my life, feeding on humans' blood, and killing them, it was all his fault..., he turned me into this monster I am today, and I promise not to spare him, no matter what it takes me, I must bring him down.

"Be ready for me Lucifer, the battle line has just been drawn. Be ready for me Lucifer, I am coming for you." I said in between gritted teeth, while staring deep into the mirror...

Chapter three

Lilly POV

After what seemed like forever, the class finally kicked off, as different lecturers kept coming in and out of our class for teaching, and at some point, I felt like screaming my lungs out. For goodness sake, they're frustrating me.

Hours later, lecture was finally over, and without wasting time, I arranged my bag, and hung it on my shoulder, before standing up, after which I headed straight to the door, before storming out, with Nina, walking beside me. Gosh! I'm so damn hungry, if only I had known that they were going to take forever to get done with the lessons, I wouldn't have made the mistake of coming here without eating, gosh! Not that we have foodstuffs at home though, now I feel like I'm going to faint anytime soon.

"Urgh! That was one hell of a lesson. I was already suffocating in there." Nina whined, as we walked through the hallway. She's so damn lazy, she's worse than me, but I feel the same though. Those teachers are just some bunch of frustrations.

"And the thought of having test tomorrow makes me cringe, like urgh!" I cringed, and she chuckled. For heaven sake, what's funny about this now? I love studying, but it's natural not to like a particular lecturer, right? Our literature teacher disgusts me, and the thought of having his test tomorrow, makes me wanna strangle him to death. He's just too strict for my liking.

"Not that you can avoid it though. I hate that man more than devil himself." Nina ran her fingers through her hair. This girl is damn crazy, even more than myself.

"I'm famished, so right now, eating some food, is the only thing on my mind. Why don't we go visit the restaurant downtown, who knows, luck may just shine on us, but I don't have a dime on me." I groaned frustratingly, while tamping my foot on the floor.

"I really want to eat some good food today, but there's no foodstuff at the dorm, and I don't have a dime on me either, what do we do? Is this how we're going to die of starvation?" She whined, while dragging her feet along with me.

"I don't know." I heaved a sigh. This is what we go through almost everyday, stranded without food. At times we have to go hungry all day, and at times, we go to bed without eating, but no one ever know what we're going through, as we always smile, and act like everything is fine. What do you expect from two best friends, who are born with an iron spoon? I don't have any means of income, neither does she have, she's on a scholarship, same with me, we're two people from same world, stuck in poverty, it's crazy, right? But that's the truth.

"I have an idea." She suddenly said, once we stepped out into the veranda, and I couldn't stop rolling my eyes at her, knowing she wouldn't come up with something helpful. She's only going to worsen the situation, and listening to her, is the last thing on my mind.

"Just shut your mouth Nina, let me think of something. Not that you're going to come up with something that'll help us." I scoffed, while clutching my hands on the hands of my backpack, as we walked through the veranda. Racking my brain to come up with something that can help us, but I just couldn't come up with something.

"How about we go eat at a restaurant, and run away? We'll go back and pay when we have the money." She smiled foolishly, as she suddenly stopped to look at me.

I glared daggers at her, and shook my head unbelievably. Is she kidding me or is she being serious right now? How can she even suggest we do a thing like that, huh? For heaven sake, we're two adults, even if we don't have money to eat, doing something as shameful as that, shouldn't even cross our minds, right?

"What?" She shrugged, and rolled her eyes.

"You're unbelievable Nina, how could you even suggest we do a thing like that? What if they trace us to the dorm, and disgrace us? I can't do such shameful thing." I said dismissively, and started walking away.

"Hey cmon, not that we're gonna steal it, we'll still pay back, just to save our lives for today." She whined, as she kept tugging on my arm, as we walked through the veranda.

"Urgh! Nina can you just let me be please?" I groaned frustratingly, as we finally started climbing down the staircase. Nina can be very crazy when hungry, not that I'm different though, but suggesting this, isn't a good idea, I'm having a bad feelings about this.

"Please Lilly, my ulcer will soon...."

"Argh! It's ok...fine...fine...I'll go with you." I said frustratingly. She's always fond of getting me to do what she wants with this ulcer stuff of hers, and it's so annoying. The truth is, Nina is an ulcer patient, the doctor advised her to eat good food, and make sure not to stay hungry.

"That's my girl." She squeaked excitedly, and hugged me tightly, before grabbing my hand, and started dragging me away.

"Let me go." I cried out, while running with her, but she didn't listen.

After what seemed like forever, we finally got to the restaurant, and I glanced at her, giving her an 'are you sure about this' look, and she gave me an assuring smile.

Taking a deep breath, I watched as she pushed the door opened, and we walked our ways in. Stepping inside the fancy restaurant, the aroma of delicious pasta, filled my nostrils, as I found myself, salivating. I just couldn't wait to have a taste of it.

There were a few people around, making so many chairs empty, and walking over to the set of chairs, close to the door, we sat down. I guess you know why we choose the seat close to the door, right?

We ordered for four plates of pastas and two chicken laps. At least, if we're gonna do this, we should eat to our satisfactions, right?

Few minutes later, the waitress served us, and we started eating. We made sure to take our time, in order not to look suspicious, and after almost thirty minutes, we finished our food. After gulping down some water, I cleaned my mouth with a napkin, and damn, I feel so alive again.

"When I count one to three, we're running." Nina leaned in on me and whispered, while I nodded in affirmation, as we both stood up.

"One...two....three!" She said, and in a flash, we turned to run, when I collided into a strong surface, and fell roughly on my butt. Oh shit! We're screwed...
