Chapter 1 1

Rhea let out a sigh of relief from the work already accomplished today. Finally, she can use her free time to get some rest before the morning comes. But just as she was about to make her way to her bedroom in the servants' quarters at the back, she heard the head maid calling her.

"Luna Catherine isn't feeling well, go fetch her some potion and bring it to her room right now!" Ordered the head maid to her.

"Yes, ma'am." Rhea bowed and then hurried to the kitchen.

Luna Catherine is the mate of Alpha Killian. She has just returned here after receiving treatments at her parents' pack. As Rhea completed the herbal drink, a surge of doubt enveloped her as she was about to present it to Luna Catherine's bedroom.

Because that place will remind her of what happened a week ago. Rhea still recalls the moment her body was dragged into this room and roughly laid on the massive bed. That night, Alpha Killian was so powerful that Rhea couldn't even fight back.

As she opened her eyes, Alpha Killian looming over her small frame, his gaze filled with lust. His calloused hands undid her button. He gently caressed her bare skin and then...

Rhea closed her eyes.

Trying to wipe the memory clean

She didn't notice that she had reached the front of Catherine's bedroom.

The door creaked open, revealing the most breathtaking woman Rhea had ever seen.

"Why are you taking so long, bitch?" Luna Catherine snapped.

Rhea stole a glance. Just like Alpha Killian, Luna Catherine hates Omega.

"I apologize, Luna-"

But the Luna quickly grabbed the potion from her without a word.

Rhea asks softly, "Is there anything else you need, Luna?"

Luna Catherine looked Rhea up and down, her expression showing clear disapproval of Rhea's presence. Even though Rhea was unaware of the reason.

"You can leave now," Luna Catherine then slammed the door shut.

Just as Rhea was about to return to the kitchen, she stopped in her tracks when she came face to face with Alpha Killian. He's looking at her with intense blue eyes.

'I thought he was supposed to return tomorrow!' Rhea was speechless.

"What are you doing in my mate's room?"

Alpha Killian voice thoroughly chilly. Rhea was already timid, but her fear just grew as she saw his intense gaze. He seemed intent on killing her.

Her lips were somewhat moist and red, and Killian did his best to avoid staring at them when she bit her lip.

"Luna Catherine requested tea, Alpha." Rhea avoiding eye contact with him.

When Rhea felt she had answered all of the questions, she bowed to the Alpha and walked past him.

Killian caught her just as she was about to reach the stairs. "Wait"

When Rhea heard heavy footsteps coming up behind her, she froze.

"Have you taken your pills?"

The moment Alpha Killian handed that pill to her, she immediately took it.

"That birth control pill I gave you. Tell me you drank it."

"Yes, Alpha. I have swallowed it"

'I wish that night-when Alpha Killian, who was drunk, coerced her into having sex-had never occurred.'

Alpha Killian already had Luna, and she was simply an omega and an orphan.

"Good. I don't want a baby from an omega."

Standing in stark contrast to the Alpha before her, she felt her status was severely diminished. Alpha Killian had numerous pack members, including her. And Rhea would not be swayed by her naive expectations.

"Do not come too close to my Luna. You understand? And Look at me when I'm talking to you."

"I understand, Alpha"

He walked away while Rhea remained there. Sadness welled up in her green eyes as she gazed at his towering stature and broad back.

The morning sun filtered through the clouds casting a warm rosegold glow on the packhouse. The Alpha manor, the most spacious and impressive structure within the Pureblood's packhouse, stood vacant, as the maids had risen early to attend to their duties.

Rhea was slicing vegetables in the kitchen and artfully placing them on plates. The Alpha's mother enjoyed her salad each morning and evening and sought only the finest, freshest vegetables available. Rhea had internalized the madam's routines, so there was no need for reminders.

Rhea was preparing the salad and humming softly when the butler hurried in and made an announcement.

"Listen, everyone! In two nights, Alpha Dave is set to host a gathering, extending invitations to other packs. There's plenty to tackle ahead; tasks will be allocated and communicated shortly!"

Whispers circulated among a few of the maids. The event would be quite sophisticated and elegant, with the Manor bustling with guests.

A woman walked into the kitchen and quickly made her way to Rhea. "Are you making breakfast, dear?"

Pansy is a middle-aged human who has been dedicated to the Alpha family since her teenage years. She was the one who brought Rhea here to help her find a job.

"I just prepared a salad, Aunty. I haven't prepared the list of dishes yet."

"Okay then. Could you assist Ghea in mopping the hallway out front? Allow me to take care of the cooking, dear."

Rhea removed her apron and gave a subtle nod. Aunt Pansy's cooking was simply unbeatable. The woman held the position of head chef here.

Before leaving, Rhea glanced back at the woman for a brief moment. "Aunty, is it happening that there's a party the day after tomorrow?"

"Yes, Alpha Killian is hosting a gathering to honor Luna Catherine's homecoming. Her health has shown improvement."

Rhea acknowledged with a nod. Alpha Killian never hosted gatherings, yet for his Luna, he was willing to go the extra mile.

"Are you alright? You seem a bit pale." Pansy pressed her forehead, checking her temperature.

The girl's lips appeared to have faded in color. "I'm fine," Rhea said, her smile strained.

Since the morning, she felt that her energy had vanished into thin air. Her body felt heavy, making it quite a challenge to rise from bed. She felt a slight dizziness, a bitter taste lingered in her mouth, and a wave of nausea washed over her.

Yet she brushed it all aside, choosing not to dwell on it.

'If I ignore it, maybe it will just disappear,' Rhea insisted.

The manor hall served as the venue for the Alpha Killian family's frequent banquets and lively gatherings. A generous room featuring sleek marble floors and elegant white pillars, the chandelier overhead was adorned with exquisite crystals that emitted a gentle glow.

The white roofs featured detailed and modern designs. Deep red curtains draped elegantly from the expansive glass windows. It took quite a while to ensure the entire room was spotless.

Rhea glided the mop across the marble floor, ensuring that every surface gleamed with a polished finish.

At that moment, the sound of a car driving through the gate echoed, coming to a halt in the courtyard. Alpha Killian and his men were coming back from their morning stroll. They walked into the hall. They include Jasmine, the Alpha's younger sister, and Beta Elijah Blackwood.

Rhea focused on her tasks, determined to finish quickly and make her exit without drawing attention to herself.

"Killian, is she a new maid in your house?" The Beta's keen gaze rested on her as he remarked, "I've never seen her here before."

All eyes were on Rhea now. Rhea heard that, yet she chose not to look back. Omega ought to remain silent unless addressed by their Alpha.

Alpha Killian's cobalt irises were locked onto the girl. He wasn't certain how long Rhea had been here, but noticing Elijah, who appeared to be focused on her, left him feeling somewhat irritated.

"Yes."

At that moment, tea was served at the table before them. Jasmine took a careful sip from her cup as she engaged in conversation with Elijah.

"Does she already have a mate?" Elijah inquired once more, "What if I asked to see if she wants to join us?"

His word drew a piercing glance from Luna Catherine. The Luna cast a disdainful glance at Rhea.

Catherine thought, 'There she is again.'

Rhea was among those she intended to eliminate from her life. Killian shot his Beta a piercing look. Elijah was a well-known player who enjoyed flirting with every female in his pack. "Let her do her job. Are you charmed by one of my Omegas?"

Elijah laughed lightly, disregarding Killian's tense expression. "If yes, then what? Look at her, she's so pretty."

Catherine let out a snort.

She swiftly shifted the conversation, saying, "Killian, look; she's dragging her feet on that simple task. Why don't you just fire that useless Omega?" She spoke to him with a voice that flowed sweetly.

Chapter 2 2

Each time Killian turned to his luna his icy demeanor softened. "Why, darling? I don't see anything wrong with her work,"

"I've noticed she's been so lazy at work lately," Catherine remarked gently, aware that she always could soften the Alpha's heart.

"Really? Should we ask her the reason then?"

Rhea continued to clean the floor, yet now she could hear their voices reaching her ears.

"I will call her." Catherine said to Killian and took a few steps before calling out to Rhea, "Omega!"

Rhea remained oblivious to the Luna as she approached her with a huff. She was too quick to notice the slippery floor.

The Luna stumbled, her body crashing to the ground as a soft whimper of pain escaped her lips. "Ouch!"

The noise prompted Killian to rise at the same moment and hurry over to her. "Catherine!"

The other maid assisted Catherine and rose to her feet, but she pushed them away.

"Are you alright?" Killian asked worriedly

Catherine shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. "My feet, it's hurt. I think I sprained my ankle."

"You need to be more careful," he gently wiped away her tears.

"It's all because of that stupid Omega, Killian. I knew she hated me and she intended to hurt me." Catherine buried her face in his chest.

Earlier when hearing the thud of a body striking the ground, Rhea turned around. And she gasped in disbelief at the sight of Luna Catherine lying there, rushing forward to assist, only to find that Alpha Killian had already come to her aid.

Rhea paused in her tracks. Luna Catherine struggled to walk, prompting Killian to lift her up.

"Luna I didn't mean to hurt you, my apologies Luna. I didn't see you coming." Rhea's heart was racing.

Catherine shook her head as Killian was about to carry her to the room, her gaze landing on Rhea standing a couple of meters away. "Are you deaf, huh?! I'm calling you several times!" The Luna's cry faded entirely, overtaken by her snap.

Killian stared at Rhea with eyes full of fury. "You foolish Omega. What do you think would happen if my Luna's head hit that floor? Do you want to kill her?"

Now they were all looking at Rhea. Some look mad just like the Alpha, some show pity.

"My apologies, Alpha, Luna," Rhea said. "It's my fault. I'm sorry."

"If something like this happens again you won't have a place in my pack anymore. I will send you to the rogue and let them do anything they want to you" Alpha Killian remarked. A subtle smile of contentment appeared on the Luna's lips.

Rhea felt a sharp pain as if a dagger had pierced her chest; that sentence both frightened and wounded her.

However, she found her voice and said, "I was mopping this floor earlier, Alpha. You knew it could be quite slick; a bit more caution would have been wise."

Her response caused Catherine to glare even wider, while Beta Elijah now regarded Rhea with keen fascination.

"How dare you respond to me." Killian voice was cold.

But Catherine grasped his arm sweetly, "My love, that's enough."

"But she nearly hurt you"

"But I'm okay now. Look how frightened she is like a sheep. I think that will be enough to make her more careful next time"

Beta Elijah said "She has a point, Luna, that's your fault, not hers"

Catherine didn't respond to his words.

When Luna Catherine walked passed Rhea, she smelled like a blossoming flower. The aroma was a vibrant blend of various spicy blooms, exuding an intense and piercing fragrance.

And it made Rhea experienced a wave of dizziness and an unusual flutter in her stomach.

She pressed one palm against her mouth as waves of nausea washed over her again. 'No,' she thought, 'not in this place.'

"Are you alright?" Elijah inquired of her.

Rhea couldn't respond; she simply shook her head and hurried away from them.

*****

Rhea clutched the sink behind the manor's kitchen, struggling to vomit the contents of her stomach, she's unable to make it to the bathroom in her room.

When the nausea faded, it gave way to a sensation of dizziness and a constricting feeling in her chest.

"Now I don't think that you've taken the pill."

The deep voice caught her off guard.

Alpha Killian lingered in the doorway before making his way over to her with a deliberate pace.

Rhea leaned her back against the sink. He paused directly in front of her, scrutinizing her look from head to toe. His arms were folded.

'Why is he here?'

"I've already swallowed it, Alpha. There's nothing to be concerned about. I assure you I won't become pregnant, so please don't throw me out of your pack. I have no family and I have no place to stay."

Her voice quivered, and her chest felt constricted, making it hard to breathe.

Rhea feels her legs falter, struggling to bear her weight. Her complexion was ashen, and her chestnut locks clung to her brow.

Killian sensed that her breath ragged. "So, what made you throw up?"

"Maybe 'cause I haven't had anything to eat since last night."

"Stupid. Do you want to kill yourself? My manor never lacked of food."

Rhea dared to meet his gaze, her height barely reaching his chest. Causing her to tilt her head up a bit. The Alpha's expression remained cold even as he posed the question to her.

Rhea shook her head, "I didn't have time."

Killian let out a breath, reaching for her arm. Her arm felt delicate and thin in his hold, Rhea found herself unable to escape as he guided her into the kitchen and positioned her on the chair at the dining table.

He called to a maid, "Bring over some food, anything at all, just plenty of food and drinks."

"Okay Alpha"

Rhea felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her and her words faltering as she was about to speak.

She was on the verge of standing up when Dave swiftly urged her to remain seated. "Alpha, I haven't completed my work-"

"If you can't even take care of yourself how can you expect to handle other jobs?"

His words rendered her speechless. Alpha Killian is correct. Rhea thinks, 'I will only double Aunt Pansy's job others if I get sick.'

His presence filled her with unease. She simply averted her gaze and waited for her meals.

Killian observed the omega, her gaze fixed on her lap, and he realized, 'She has a fever.'

When he had grabbed her arm earlier, her body temperature was so hot.

Chapter 3 3

When night came, Rhea stepped out of her room and ventured on foot. Once the workday ended, the omegas had the freedom to leave. As she walked, she noticed the pups enjoying their time with their parents in the park.

She found herself smiling at the sight. It would have been wonderful to share her childhood with her parents and family; sadly, she only had short moment with them.

After her parents were killed, her adoptive parents hate her, they trow her out then Rhea ended in an orphanage where she spent her most life.

She strolled with a basket in hand filled with fresh bread and an assortment of jams. When wut of nowhere, hand gripped her shoulder from behind, spinning her around with a swift motion. Rhea gasped in surprise as she glanced up at the man, a playful grin dancing on his lips.

"Where are you going?" The man inquired, his voice low and menacing.

Rhea stepped back. Her adoptive parents had a son, Leon, who was three years older.

"Hi Rhea, do you miss me?"

"Leon? I-I plan to go to my friend's place since she's sick. want to bring her this food," Rhea answered. She dont want any conflict with him.

She was about to walking away when Leon intercepted her path, and he positioned himself directly in front of her. He smiled even more broadly at her somewhat apprehensive look.

"Leon, please let me go. Why do you keep bothering me?" She had no clue what he want from her.

"Do you ever think about me, little sister? So, you've found your own happiness out there and completely forget me?"

There's sharp scent of alcohol wafting from him, and Rhea could effortlessly guess what place he had visited. Leon's tousled brown hair gave him a slightly chaotic appearance as he stumbled forward.

"You should be glad now i can support myself and not being burden to anyone" Rhea replied, her voice steady, though her lips quivered slightly.

Leon burst into a hearty laugh. He leaned towards her petite figure "I heard you're at Alpha Killian Manor now, is that true? It seems like you've quite a bit of wealth now. Now little sister, fulfill your promise to me!"

He began to explore her body, searching for pockets. Rhea propelled his body with such force that he stumbled backward.

"Leon! Stop it! I don't have what you want."

She didn't bring the money he requested, and her response left him feeling quite dissatisfied.

Leon enraged as he failed to find what he want, the man contorted her arm until the basket of food tumbled down. And he pulled her to a secluded and shadowy spot beneath a tree.

"Let me go! Let me go!"

He quieted her cries with a sharp slap to her right cheek, causing her head to turn. Her ears buzzed from the sharpness of the slap.

"Now you have the audacity to lie to me," he whispered sharply in her ear. "Have you forgotten who has been providing for you and offering you shelter when you were kid?!"

He took hold of the hair at the nape of her neck, compelling Rhea to meet his gaze. Her lips quivered, and a trace of blood marked the corner."

"IIt hurts, Leon," she said, pressing her palm against her throbbing cheek.

Perhaps if she ceased to resist, he might release her sooner.

"I don't have the money you're asking for." She responded, "I'll get it to you as soon as I have it."

But Rhea was mistaken; Leon had no plans of releasing her. He tightened his grip on her hair, eliciting a sob of pain from her lips.

"You're lying again bitch; it has to be around here somewhere. I'll take a look at it myself. Now, remove all your clothing!"

Rhea shook her head, She held the fabric around her chest firmly. The stillness enveloped the space, with no one around for her to turn to for help.

If she let out a cry, maybe someone would hear her.

Rhea was on the verge of speaking when Leon pressed his mouth against hers, muffling her words.

"You naughty little slut. Do you really believe someone will come to help you huh"

He bebded her body, guiding her into a half-kneel. Rhea closed her eyes, a wave of familiarity washing over her as she recalled the times Leon had placed her in this very situation.

She shut her eyes, clenching her jaw to suppress the pain. This time he relied on his own hands; previously, he had even resorted to wood or other materials that would leave marks.

Rgea experienced such overwhelming dizziness that it was impossible to count how many blows struck the back of her head.

"Take it! Your consequence for having the audacity to lie to me!"

He let out a low growl before his hand found its way back to her head, but then his body was abruptly yanked away. His hold on Rhea faltered, leaving no moment for him to proceed as a powerful punch struck his jaw.

He crashed against the tree trunk and fell to the ground. A tall figure moved toward Rhea's body on the ground.

The man cradled her body in his arms.

Killian brushed her hair aside, noticing the mark on her cheeks and the blood at the edge of her lips, as his anger began to swell within him.

He cast a quick look at Leon, who stood still, poised to strike. But she whispered something that resembled a soft expression of discomfort, her eyes shut firmly.

Killian wrapped his arms around her, take her back to the manor.
