Until my mate comes

Alpha jack's pov

Today is the happiest day of my life, my son was born and my mate couldn't look happier. But it's not only that, my betas son was born the same day, two hours later. Everyone in the pack was celebrating for the next generation, the future alpha and the future beta of our pack. We knew that they will be like brothers for all of their lives.

My wife is a human so we had many complications during pregnancy, being pregnant with werewolves it's always challenging for humans. We agreed that we wouldn't have any more kids due to the risk.

7 months later

It was a sunny day, went to check my warriors at the perimeter. Studently I was feeling pain, something was wrong with my mate. In movies nothing bad is happening during a sunny day but this is life not a movie. ''Alpha, luna is in labor'' my beta mindlinked me. It was soon too soon for her to have the baby. She was only 6 months pregnant.

After our son was born, we conceived our little princes one month later. We didn't intend to have another child, especially so soon but it happened. My wife was looking forward to meet our daughter, our son Fabien was a carbon of me so we hoped that our daughter will get something of her. We picked the name Amy for her after my wife's mother. Little did we know that this will be the end of her life. The end of my mate's life.

I felt like someone had ripped out my heart, my mate was everything to me. I didn't want to live but I had to for my children and my pack. But I knew that I would never be the same again. When you lose your mate, you lose a part of yourself and you have to be a strong werewolf in order to survive it. I knew that my wolf wouldn't be the same neither would i.

Boys 5 years old birthday party

Today was my son's birthday. Adriana the beta female organized a birthday party for both of our boys as she did every year. She had taken care of my son and daughter like her own since my wife died. She even took care of luna's responsibilities.

The boys were inseparable and they were over protective over my daughter Amy, especially Antony my beta's son. He wouldn't go to sleep if he didn't say goodnight to my daughter and always will give her his toys. I could swear that he had a soft spot for her.

It was time for the cake, each of them had his own cake. My son Fabien blew out the candles and wished to be the strongest alpha, he had everyone giggle. Antony wished for cookies and we all laughed with the little ones. And here I thought that Antony didn't like cookies. My son got the first slice of his birthday cake and Antony gave the first slice of his cake to my daughter. My daughter took it with a big smile on her face looking at Antony with admiration.

Amy's pov

Today was the first day back to school after the summer. I was looking forward to see my bestie. My best friend was the daughter of the alpha of the neighborhood pack. Him and my father were good friends and hoped that i and his son Peter we will turn out to be mates. Peter was always good with me and recently started to flirt with me.

He and my best friend Katia are twins. They have the same characteristics, same blond hair and ocean blue eyes, both of them are tall but Peter is taller and more muscular. Peter, Fabien and Antony are the most good-looking guys at our school, girls go crazy for them. Fabien and Antony whore around all the time but Peter isn't a player like them.

''Amy come down sweetheart to have breakfast'' Antony's mother called out. Aunt crystal was like a mother to me but I didn't want to see it like that cause I have a crash over her son. She wasn't our aunt by blood but we call her aunt. She took care of us every since our mother died in childbirth.

''I'm coming'' i answered. I was at the stairs and I was going down fast when I hit a muscular body.'' Watch it'' that was Antony's voice. I loved his voice, he used to come and talk to me to sleep every night when we were kids but nowadays he is ignoring me. We live at the same house, alpha's family lives at the 3rd floor and betas at the 2nd, but we don't hang out anymore unless my brother is with us.

''Sorry Anton, good morning''. He put distance between us and he took a quick peak at my clothes. When he saw that I was wearing a short shorts he rolled his eyes, said ''good morning'' and he harried down. He didn't even look at me while we had breakfast all together, he was on his phone probably with his new girlfriend.

My brother took the keys of the car and said ''let's go''. My brother's car is a black Audie jeep it's a good car but not the most expensive at our school. My brother was driving, Antony was sitting in front and I was sited back as always. Antony has his own car but the three of us always ride to school together.

''What do you say about Tina?'' Antony asked my brother. ''Not hot enough, I prefer Rea'' Fabien replied. ''So, who is Tina and Rea?'' I asked but Antony didn't reply me he was looking outside ignoring me. ''Tina is a friend of Rachel that she wants to hook me up with but I prefer her other friend who is also interested'' my brother replied being arrogant.

When we arrived at school Antony's girlfriend Rachel was waiting for him, kissed him good morning and said ''hey alpha, Amy''. You think I would have used to it by now but no, my feelings get hurt every time I see him with another girl. His relationships don't last long and every few weeks he has another girl so I know this one won't last but I get irritated anyway. I said ''good morning Rachel, see you later guys'' and I rushed inside.

I went to my locker and I saw my bestie there. ''Hey beautiful'' Katia teased me. ''oh, Katia I missed you so much'', ''I missed you too, so what's up? He has another girlfriend again?'' Katia asked me noticing my irritation when I go inside. ''yeah he does'' I told her but I don't know if she heard me cause her eyes was locked to my brother who got inside the building.

Yeah as you guessed my bestie has a crash on my brother. I think my brother likes her too, he is always friendly with her and he is flirting but he doesn't make a move. Katia things that he is simple not into her but I think otherwise. She is an alphas daughter and he can't just date her if she not his mate, so maybe he's waiting to see if he is her mate or not.

''Earth to Katia'', ''sorry Am, I was lost for a moment'' she replied smiling. ''so, do you thing you can come along this afternoon to pick presents for Antony and Fabien? Tomorrow is the big party and I didn't know what to get them'', ''yeah of course, I have to pick something for them too'' she replied but I could see that she was sad.

It was break time and Katia and I got our launch from the cafeteria and went to sit at our table, she kept being lost in her thoughts. Her brother Peter and his best friend Marcus were sited there already. The four of us hang out all the time, Peter is funny and always makes us laugh, him and I are the funny ones in our gang, Marcus is the smart one and Katia the shy one.

As we approach Peter stand's up and gives me a big hug ''missed you Am'' as I was saying ''missed you too'' a loud noise made us break the hug and turn around to see an angry Antony who had sat the door close with force and got in the cafeteria. He just went straight at his table at sat down. Everyone looked curious and he seemed outranged.

I went to him to see what happened ''are you okay Anto?'', he turned around to face me ''no but it's not any of your business''. I felt hurt why has he changed so much, I didn't get to speak cause my brothers voice heard ''bro relax, I don't know why you are mad but she is our sister you can't –'' he didn't get to finish it and Antony was standing up saying ''not my sister'' and he just left. Something was terribly wrong for him to disrespect his future alpha by not letting him finish his sentence.

Amy's pov

Next morning i woke up early and went down for breakfast. There was a celebrational breakfast for the boy's birthday. My dad was sitting looking proud for the boys and he talked with them about wolf things. Auntie was dancing with uncle happily at an old song named sway by Michael Buble. They were such a loving couple, I wish I will be the same with my mate. In that thought I looked at Anto who was looking at me but he immediately looked away.

We had breakfast as a family but again Anton was distant. I can't quite understand what happened between us, we used to be so close.

While we were driving at school I asked ''so what is the best think about having a wolf? The strength? The speed? The freedom?''. They both smiled deviously saying '' the mind linking''. Now they could speak to each other even in a crowded place without anyone hearing them. I was happy seeing them so close and happy even if Anton was distant.

When we arrived at school his girlfriend was waiting for him. She was a very beautiful shewolf even if I don't want to admit it. She had red straight hair, blue eyes and she was skinny with a nice taste of fashion. I could understand what Anton saw in her even if I didn't want to. All of his girlfriends were beautiful, at least he had a great taste on girls. Maybe that's why he never liked me, I was never that skinny or maybe because he saw me as a sister or a friend.

She went for a kiss but as she approached him, he put his hand in front of him and said sorry my wolf doesn't want to be touched by you. She looked him with widen eyes, she looked heartbroken and rushed inside crying as he remained here cold.

''You can't talk to someone like that, you have to find a smoother way to break up ''I told him with an angry look. Sure, that wasn't any of my business and I was happy that they broke up but that was harsh even to watch it. Where is that sweet boy I used to know?

''Not your business Amy'' he said looking irritated. ''yeah it never is my business when it comes to you, isn't it? You can speak to us like we are nothing and we have to take it'' I was furious at him. ''Oh, now you are my girlfriend too? Sorry babe I forgot the flowers today'' he said full of irony and arrogantly. I simply walk away with my hands in fists.

My brother stayed silent, every time that Anton acts this way towards me my brother stays out of it. If Anton was someone else he would have had many broken bones but Anton is family. My brother knows how close we used to be, so know he thinks that it is our problems to solve and better for him not to get involve.

The day was like that, every time some girl went to flirt with him, he got away. As we were sitting at the cafeteria and we were laughing in our gang at a joke Peter made we heard him growl. He rushed out of the cafeteria and i followed him with not even thinking it.

I had to give it one more try forgetting the previous events. He has a temper lately, he used to be such a carefree person always smiling and now he gets angry all the time with no reason. I had to remind myself that it wasn't something personal even though it felt that way. I really hoped that we could passed it.

"Hey what is with you lately?" I asked him putting my hand on his solder. "Everything's fine" he replied touching my hand in order to get it away from him. I felt butterflies yeah i know that's a cliché but when my hand was free and i wasn't touching him anymore i felt sad. I did fill that way every time we touched, yeah I know silly me.

''No, it's not. You became distant lately and you have a temper all of a sudden, so tell me what's bothering you?'' I asked him what I wanted for a long time to ask, only for him to answer me ''again not your business'' and leave. I was standing speechless, what did I do to him in order to make him act like that to me?

Evening came and Katia and I we were at my room getting ready for the party, I choose to were a red long dress with v line and open back. Katia wore a black mid dress with one solder out, the one she had picked yesterday. We both wore red hills and red lipstick, we applied make up and we put mascara. 16teen birthday parties it's a kind of big deal when it's the alphas and betas birthday.

At betas birthday everyone from the pack will attend and when there is alpha's many high rank wolfs from other alley packs will attend too. Especially high rank unmated werewolves looking for a mate. So, it would be a big party and everyone would wear glamorous outfits. In these occasions if you think that an outfit it's too much, think again cause nothing is too much for this occasions. It's like going to the Oscars at the dressing part.

When we were ready I told her that I was going to give the presents to the boys, so she came with me to give her present to my brother.

I gave him the pendant with the wolf ''here that's for you, happy birthday big bro. I hope you find your mate soon'' and as I was kissing him at the chick for happy birthday I whispered ''but not tonight'' something that puzzled him. After he said ''thank you I left them alone in order for Katia to give him his present.
