Until I Met Him

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯" he said standing beside the bed angrily his eyes blazing in anger.

"What!!!" Kiara open her eyes wide in shock and surprised as she stare at her husband.

"Tell me the truth, Kiara. Are you a virgin?" he asked coming closer to her on the bed his face holding a deep frown.

She couldn't answer his question it looks very strange and annoying to her.

How can a man that just finished f*cking her now, telling her that she's not a virgin after all the pains she went through. Who does that? for heaven sake this is her first time.

"I knew it, I knew you were never a virgin. You lied to me" Handy yelled at her raising his voice in anger he is already loosing his temper.

"No I didn't lie to you this is my first" time she cried already in tears. She felt so weak already and now his words are really hurting the more.

"You are nothing, but a cheap lying f*cking slut. I will make you regret this marriage you will see no joy but pains" he roared in anger.

"Please Handy I can never lie to you this is my first time" she pleaded trying to get up from the bed which she was laying on but she couldn't due to the pains she is feeling on her thighs.

"You are a virgin, and I just finished fu*king you why didn't you bleed huh? You would bleed if only you are a virgin but look around this bed" he said holding her on her neck. "There's is no drop of blood."

"Please let go off my neck" she cried as she struggles to take in air his hold on her neck was too rough.

"I will make you face hell you will face nothing but pains on this marriage besides I already hate you from the beginning" he growled angrily and realise her neck while he walk out in anger. If he should stay any longer in that room he might end up killing her or giving her severe injury.

"No please don't go this my first time" she cried but Handy didn't even spare her a look as he walk out.

Kiara manage to get up from the bed. Slowly she walk into the bathroom to freshen up so she could have a rest before Handy comes back the pains she was feeling below her is too much.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘯" Handy words keep playing on her head as she stand inside the shower allowing the warm water to drop on her body gently. She thought about her life two weeks ago when she was still Kiara Dalton's not Kiara Handy. although things were not easy because her parents were poor but it better than living with a man she is not comfortable with her man that send fear and shiver down her spine just with a spoken words.

She remembered vivadly when she got home that evening only to receive a news from her parents that she will have to marry a wealthy rich man named Handy.

**Flashback**

Kiara came back from work that evening looking very tired and exhausted as usual. She work in one of the biggest and busy restaurant in town as a waitress that was the only job she manage to get after finishing college one year ago although she keep hoping and applying for a better job to come someday.

Her parents couldn't cater for all her needs because they're poor and old it was the money she manage to get from her waitress job that they use in providing for the family which is not even enough. At times they're always left with nothing when ever she finished paying for her junior sister's school fees.

Kiara was surprised that evening when she got home as she was perceiving different aroma of garnished and expensive smell coming out from the kitchen. from the aroma she believed it to be a very rich and expensive food.

"Hello is anybody home" she called from the parlour but didn't get reply as she drop the leather that contains the drugs she helped her father to get for his sickness while coming.

The old looking house they manage to live in contains just a parlour, one bedroom and a small kitchen. She walk slowly to kitchen when she didn't get any reply. She sight her mother Mrs Dalton's who was cooking happily.

"Mom" she called from afar making her mother to turn to her direction immediately.

"Kiara my lovely daughter you are back from work" Mrs Dalton said smiling as she embrace Kiara who was taken aback by her mother's reaction. She hasn't seen her mother smile so wide like this for a long time.

"Mom I have been calling from the parlour since but there was no reply. Where is Kate and Dad?" she asked.

"Oh, they went to check out our new house" Mrs Dalton's said happily.

" House? Kiara asked in shock because she knew the state and condition of her family before going out for work this morning so where is the money coming from she thought.

"Yes a new house we are moving out from this house to a better place" Mrs Dalton said smiling as she turn the food that was on the fire.

"Mum what going on?" Kiara asked confused. "Where did you get money to buy a new house from?" she muttered.

"It from a God sent man" Mrs Dalton's said smiling she is not ready to break the news to her daughter now she have to wait for the arrival of her husband.

Kaira didn't take her mother words seriously "Mum I am very exhausted let me go freshen up and join you in the kitchen so you can tell me more about this God sent man" she said walking out of the kitchen.

"You don't need to work in any dam restaurant anymore because very soon you will start living in wealth" Mrs Dalton chipped in making kiara more confused and suspicious about her mother's new attitude.

After about three minutes Kiara was done taking her bath. She changed her clothes and join her mum who is almost done with the cooking.

"How was work today?" Mrs Dalton's asked Kiara immediately she walked back to the kitchen.

"Mum work was stressful as usual" she said as she help in washing the dishes on the sink.

" Don't worry my daughter from now hence forth you don't need to stress yourself about any work because soon you will become rich."

"I still don't understand where you are driving to" Kiara said turning her head to face her mother who was smiling.

"You will understand soon........."

"Mum we are back" Kiara younger sister shout from the parlour as they both turn their head in a swift towards the door of the kitchen. And there she comes.

"Sis Kiara we are now rich" Kate beam in excitement as she ran towards Kiara who opened her arms in embrace.

"Really? And who told you we are now rich" Kiara asked as she lift the seven years Kate up in embrace.

"Dad told me" she said excitedly. "We are moving out to a bigger and beautiful house that only the rich can Afford she beam.

"Wow you must really love the new house right?" Kiara asked wondering how a little girl of her age manage to know the type of house that only the rich can afford.

"Yes Sis Kiara I love the new house" she said happily as Kiara drop her on the floor while she run out of the kitchen excitedly. Kiara has never seen her little sister Kate this happy before except they if they went on a visit to amusement park which is just once a while or once a year.

"I have never seen her happy like this before" Mrs Dalton's said smiling facing Kaira.

"Yes me too, but mom am still confused" Kiara said. "Who is this God sent person?."

"Don't worry yourself about that it someone you will soon get to see. But for now let go set this food so your father can eat" she answered.

Kiara and her mum set the food on the old center table in the parlour while the whole family sat on the floor ready to eat except Mr Dalton who was seated on the single chair they have.

Kiara was surprised seeing the expensive food her mother cooked. They haven't eat such kind of food for a very long time. The whole family seat comfortable as they feast on the food.

"Mum the food is very delicious" Kate said as she broke the silent between them.

"You love it?" Mrs Dalton's asked smiling at her.

" Yes I love it mum" she muttered.

"Sis Kiara thank you very much for the money" Kate said sharply.

"Huh? Kiara stop her food looking at her with a questioning eye wondering why she is thanking her for what she did not do.

"Mum told me you are the source of our plenty money and I will be going to my dream school just like the rich kids. Thank you so much Sis Kiara" she said eating her food.

Kiara turn and look at her mother with a shocking stare then she turn facing her father too she suspect that something is fishing but she can't tell what it is.

"Enough" Mr Dalton's said to the talk active Kate . "Have warned you to stop talking while eating" he said glaring hard at Kate.

"Am sorry Daddy" she apologize innocently. "I was just very excited and I can't hide my excitement."

"You will tell your sister more about how excited you are when you are done eating."

"Okay dad" she said happily.

When the Dalton's family finished eating kiara and her mum clean the table. After a little while Kate went inside the bedroom to sleep.

Few minutes later

"Mum can you explain to me now? where all this money is coming from?" she asked her mother who is seated close to Mr Dalton.

"Seat down, Kiara" Mr Dalton's said. With a commanding tone.

"It not something we can discuss while standing" and immediately she sat down on the floor since her father and mother is occuping the only chair available.

"A very wealthy and handsome man came her to ask for your hand in marriage" Mrs Dalton break the most shocking news of her life to her.

"Alright" she answered still not getting where her father is driving to.

"He gave us a huge amount of money and promise to take Kate to a better school if we can convince you to marry him."

"What?" Kiara eyes dimmed immediately. "You collect money from a total stranger to come and marry me what kind of a parent are you?" she muttered trying her best to keep remain cool.

"Kiara don't let this opportunity slip away from us he is a good man and will take very good care of you" her mother try to convince her.

"I can never marry him. How did you expect me to cope with a guy I don't know. Mum are you also in support of this?" she asked staring at her mother who couldn't look into her daughter face.

Mrs Dalton's have kicked against the idea when the man came earlier but her husband was able to convince her that it the only way they can come out of poverty which is actually truth and she being a loyal and meek wife have no choice than to support her husband.

"Father I can never marry a man I don't love or know anything about" she raised her voice at her father for the first time.

"There's no such thing as love" Mr Dalton's interrupted her. "Your mother was given to me as a wife by her parents at a tender age and I will give you to Handy also as a wife" Turning to my mother "You better talk to your daughter or I will disown her if she go against my wish" he said in anger his eyes a blazing fire his hand clutch in a tight fist and walk he out of their presence.

"Mother please talk to him I can't marry a man I know nothing about" she said going close to her helpless mother.

"Kiara we all want your happiness but I don't have the power to go against your father he is a man of his word he will never listen to me" she said.

That's just the plain truth Mrs Dalton's always do and act on what her husband wants her to do she is like a slave to him than just a wife and there's no connection between them as husband and wife.

"Mother do you want me to suffer in my husband's house?" came Kiara soft voice. "You were forced to marry father by your parents and that why there's no love between the both of you that is why he is dominating you like a king" she pause and swollew hard. "Do you want me to face the same thing?" she stuttered sadly.

"Your father loves me and I believe the man you will marry will love you too" Mr Dalton's defended. "We want the best for you and Handy is the right man for you" Mr Dalton's said.

"I knew it, you will always support your husband against your own child. Nothing will make me to marry him" she said angrily.

"Kiara this man will help us he will make us rich and bring us out of poverty. Are you not happy with the mood of Kate today?" she asked pointing at the entrance to where Kate was sleeping. "Make this family happy for once this not just about you but about us as a family this our only opportunity of becoming rich and important. You have to marry him so your father won't disown you."

"So all this marriage stuff is about money mum?" She asked already in tears. "You are sending me out to a strange man all because of money huh? You are selling me out to him in place of money? You are ready to sacrifice your child for money?" she stuttered already in tears hoping her words will touch her mother.

"Kaira, you have to lis......"

"I will never get married to any man I don't love" she cut her mother off. "Not you or father can force me to marry him so whatever you have taken from him quickly return it because I am going to let you down" she said angrily and walk out of the house leaving her mother on her own dismay.

Kiara Dalton's is a 21 years old hardworking lady. She is pretty, sexy sweat and fun. She has a blue deep ocean eyes that anybody will love to stare at, She has a pretty sexy body that anyone can die for, She has a perfect shape that anyone will fall for, a long beautiful hair that stop at her back.... But her parents are poor she work daily tirelessly just to cater for her family and lovely sister Kate. But now it seems like her effort is not enough her parents wants more tired of living in poverty. When Handy came to their house that morning they see him as the only opportunity to what that have been praying for the only key to their wealth so they didn't bother about Kiara happiness before marring her off to him.

I can no longer stand in there and let her convince me to marry a guy I don't even know gosh... who does that in this developed world we are now. I always work my ass out just to provide for them but now my efforts is not enough she lamented sadly standing outside their house on the road.

Kiara removed her phone from her only hand bag and she dial her best friends number Sophia after walking for about thirty minutes. she was still troubled minded and needs someone to talk to and the only friend she has is Sophie. she never wanted to disturb her because Sophia will be very busy preparing for her up coming weeding next week but she need someone to talk to right now.

"Hello Sophia are you at home?" She said sadly

"Yes girl friend" Sophia reply her.

"I will beComing to your house now."

"Okay will be expecting you" Sophia said and she cut the call.

Kiara board a cab to her friends house.

"Kiara you need to calm down" Sophia said patting her friend who have already socked her handkerchief with tears immediately she got to her house.

"Sophia I can't marry that man I don't even know anything about him" she complained bitterly.

"Come on girl what the problem?" Sophia ask as she quickly sat down beside her. "What ever the probably is just know I am right here beside you" she asked her.

"When I got home today my parents are forcing me to marry a strange man I know nothing about" she cried.

"What!" Sophie exclaimed. "Who does that in this modern world?"

"My father promise to disown me if I refuse and he was dam serious about it because I have never see him in such mood before" she muttered.

"And you said the guy is a rich man?" Sophia inquired.

"Yes he is rich, and that the reason my parents are forcing me to marry him because of his money" she said sniffing.

"You need to calm down and do the right thing kiara" Sophia said. "I know you will not want to be disown by your parent and you won't want a situation where by you will be blamed for their poverty. She pause staring at her friend because she knew that what she is about to say might hurt her. "So.....I suggest you just marry this rich guy and experience what it is to be rich" Sophia spoke softly.

"How can you suggest that" Kiara asked not believing her ears she was suppose to support her.

"Kiara since I knew you, you never have a boyfriend or any man around you so I think it best you marry this man. Besides, I will be getting married soon" she pause and look into her confused friend eyes again. "I advice you to marry him for the sake of your family."

"You think so Kiara" asked.

" Yes and you can also follow your mind. But that is the best thing you can do for them bringing them out of poverty.

She pause for a while staring at nothing as silent descend between them right now she is really confused "I will think about it" she manage to say.

"And who knows the both of you can end up falling in love at the end it happens in most cases" Sophia encouraged her.

"let forget about me for now so, how is the preparation for the wedding" Kiara asked with a smile.

"It going on we'll.....but I am a little bit bothered and nervous."

"Tell me girl what wrong what bothering you?" Kiara asked holding her hands.

"Now that I am about to marry what if am not a good mother to my children and a good wife to my husband?" she lamented.

"I trust you, Sophia. You are going to be the best mother and wife anyone can asked for. I trust you" kiara said hold her hands.

"Are you sure About that?" she asked not certain.

"Yes am sure" she nods smiling at her.

Kiara got home later at night after spending much time with Sophia. When she got home that night everywhere in the house was quite. she gently drop her bag on a chair and was about entering the inner room suddenly she was stopped by her mother's voice.

"Welcome back home, Kiara" Mrs Daltons said making her to froze on a spot.

"Mother so you are here and still awake by this time? but I can't see you see everywhere is dark" she said.

"Yeas it because the light was off Mr Dalton said putting on the torch beside her the light wasn't bright but it is enough to see the next person.

"Mum why are you awake by this time?" she asked seating close to her mother worriedly.

"Because I can't sleep I was waiting for you to come back home you never stay late outside like this" she complained.

"Mum I am sorry the way I acted and talk to you earlier today" she apologized.

"It okay and I understood how it feels anyone will react the same way you did earlier today hearing such sudden news."

"My daughter I Wish they was a way I can help you stop this whole thing from happening I will gladly do that but we need that money we have a lot of debts out there that will need to be settled and your junior sister will soon be sent out of school for owing school fees for long. Kiara I can't go against your father" she said sincerely.

"Mum that's the problem with you always supporting father even when you know that what he is doing is wrong... Mother why?" she asked.

"He is my husband and I loved him did you expect me to disobey him?" Mr Dalton asked.

"What about me mum" Kiara cut her off immediately, don't you love me? didn't you want my happiness?" she asked looking into her mother's eyes.

"Of course I love you kiara, more than you could imagine" she said holding her hands. "But you need to think about this family happiness also. I don't want anything that will make your father to disown you please listen to what I have you told you and think about it thoroughly" she stand up from where she was seated and leave Kiara to think about her life.

that night I think about my life severally and decide to sacrifice my happiness and joy to my family most especially Kate. I concluded to marry Handy just for them to be happy but I never knew it will be the worst mistake of my life. The following day I told my parent that I agree on marrying him they were so happy and excited and my wedding was quickly set with Handy unfortunately my wedding date happens to fall on the same date with Sophia's wedding according to Handy decisions. We plead on him to make it after her wedding but he refused so, that was how Iand my best friend wedded the same day but will did the reception together on the same hall.

After taking my bath I changed into my night gown as I drift in to a long slumber.
