I woke up with a small yawn as I stretched my fingers extensive. My alarm began going off at six in the morning. Normally I would wake up at seven, but I ditched a few homework last night that had to be done. I wasn't an awful kid, and I wasn't planning on letting my grades slip every time quickly.
I take out my heavy blue and black binder and start to do my AP class's homework. Ten pages in an hour is quite desirable, thinking about maximum of them encompass sloppy cursive. If the lecturers could not examine it, then it truly is their trouble they failed to discover ways to read cursive. But just my opinion. I did not continually suppose like that, I'm commonly fine in my personal way.
Past that, I stand up and look at me in my complete frame mirror. I didn't look too bad, nothing some make-up and cloths would not fix in a minute. A few small, red bugs bites were seen, which did worm me on account that they inched like hell.
I got out my massive makeup bag and placed on the everyday concealer, powder, eyeliner and mascara. The easy of the best for me, whatever below that I would not accept. I've been doing make-up for a pair year, so I became quite desirable for what I knew a way to do.
I modified into a faded teal blouse, mild jeans, purple converse, and let's not forget about the lace underclothes and bra. Even though no one (besides my pals) could see it, it made me feel sexier. It's one of those simply because it matters.
My smartphone rang simply as I took a step out the door, the ringtone changed into the one I had set for one among my first-rate buddies, Darian. My other satisfactory buddy turned into Greta.
I answer the smartphone and plop onto my bed, now not worrying about breakfast anymore. Darian constantly calls me, and I answered on every occasion. He is a chunk suicidal, and each day I searched his body for cuts- just to be sure. Sometimes he thinks I'm over shielding; however, I just don't need him to harm himself. It's now not worth the answer, tapping my smartphone case with my index finger.
It became quiet for a second earlier than he spoke up, "Can I come over and stroll with you to high school these days?" he asks shyly. I may additionally have forgotten to mention he was the adorable and lovable guy at school that spent time with the two looser chicks, simply because we've known him all the time. Some matters in lifestyles just work out in the coolest manner.
I smile, "Of course," I respond.
I could nearly hear him smile at my reaction. If Greta couldn't stroll with him to school, he referred to as me. "Oh, thanks, thank you! I'll be over quickly, cya," he says, striking up the call.
I roll my eyes, he never let me say goodbye maximum of the time because he got overwhelmed about something.
It'd take him a couple of minutes to get to my house, so I decided to munch on something at the same time as I waited for him. I grabbed my backpack and went to the kitchen, which was already some type of old, but it still works, and that's all that matters.
I chew my lip as I get myself a peanut butter and syrup sandwich. My own family idea is it becomes the maximum disgusting component ever, however they're so incorrect. It's like my child. I hate jelly, it is just so... Smooth.
The doorbell rings as I was taking my last chew of 'breakfast'. I run into the residing room open the door to see Darien in his regular outsized hoodie and jeans. I don't know how he discovered hoodies that large, he became six ft at 18.
"Welcome my top sir," I say, smiling at him.
He looks down at me and shakes his head, "Shall we go Milady?" he mocks lower back, holding my bag out.
I nod, "We shall," I say as we took a step out of the door, locking the door behind us.
The sky was clouded over heavily, indicating it'd rain later. I love rain, however wearing my college books on the rain can get me almost a hundred bucks. My school is this sort of scam that if there is one web page ripped within the e-book you need to pay for a brand new one. They want a twist of fate finances because high schoolers haven't any money and are dumb.
The wall to high school changed into briefs and void of rain, happily, Darian and I had to pathways on the front of the college, as I ought to visit the North Wing, and he needed to go to the South. It sucked, however as a minimum we had the identical lunch period.
Threaded without delay to magnificence, no longer bothering to put my backpack in my locker. They finally let us stroll around with them after youngsters were ten minutes overdue to elegance remaining year. Though I doubt backpacks had been the motive of that.
I sat down within the lower back of the classroom, where I was assigned to seat. It sucked since I needed to wear my glasses to look. I swear I looked like one of these nerds, and no longer the lovable kind with them on.
Only other children had been inside the magnificence, and I knew it might be up to 15 mins before all the others arrived, such as the overdue kids.
Fifteen mins exceeded by and maximum kids have been in magnificence by way of 10. Another five and the teacher rounded up, I did not even know I had to return early, he's usually past due. Teachers are imagined to be examples, but he instructed a few youngsters the other day to simply get Welfare and he might be right. I truly hate this area, however what child would not?
"Okay youngsters, there would be no class today, because the Alpha has a statement for all of you," he says, heading over to his stand to turn on the projector. Probably to show us a pre-recorded video our Alpha addressing us.
I belonged to the Autumn Pack, our alpha is Alpha William Fiery, and shortly his son, Derek Fiery. Everybody within the pack were tan, brown and every now and then a mix of black fur from interbreeding among packs. Except mine, my wolf turned into a natural coco color and absolutely everyone appeared to adore it.
Just one straight coloration and not using a blend to it because of the truth that all of my ancestors had mates inside the pack, that is, no interbreeding to combine my fur color.
Anyways, again to class, my trainer clicked around, mumbling some curse words because the video did not play at the right time. Finally, he turned it on and the lighting came on as Alpha William appeared on the display screen.
"Hello packs members of the excessive school. Today, I have a crucial message for you all," he had a serious appearance on his face, which changed into abnormal. He brushed his hair back with his hands and he said, "You all will participate in an area experience to the Alpha Security Prison. The most powerful prison within the werewolf global, the notorious Caleb is held.
People across the room gasped, as I simply focused on my Alpha, my eyes glazing over. Why is he saying this? No sane Alpha could, the prison wasn't even in our territory.
"But that is the handiest in case your dad and mom agree to signal a ten-web page permission slip for. This is for instructional reasons best not to scare you into submission. Thank you, can't wait to see you there," he said because the display went off.
The students started to whisper amongst themselves, speaking about how cool or frightening it was going to be. I personally desired to go, however I wasn't so positive if my mother and father would comply with it. After all, plenty of their siblings had been killed by Caleb, and a few others being held there. But do not knock it till you try it, or in this case, ask it.
"Can you believe it?" Greta said, waving her permission slip around in the air while me and Darian sat on the bed, shaking our heads. "Why the hell would they do this?" she asks, bringing the paper close to her face and sniffing it.
I rolled my eyes, "Who knows, our Alpha was acting kind of funny," I say, rereading the slip. I hope my parents would sign it, what a sight it'd be to see the most known killer ever known. Something to impress my grandkids one day.
Darian turns to me, looking confused,
"What do you mean?" he asks me.
"Yeah, what's that smart brain of yours coming up with?" Greta tags along with what Darian said.
I shrug, "The Alpha was being very perturbed, as if he was doing something he didn't want to," I say. It was true, like I've said before, he's usually very relaxed. When he was in the video, that was not relaxed and it rose my suspicious of the unknown.
They turn to each other, nodding. "If we all can go, we can walk around, "Greta recommends.
I look at her wide-eyes. "You must be crazy, it's the most secure prison ever in history. How could a could kids stalk around?" I ask. It was on the brink of impossible. Greta must be going nuts over my theory.
"Yeah, but we can still try and listen to our Alpha but just don't get caught," she winks, holding up her index finger.
I sigh, mumbling, "Oh god we are going to die next week." It's true, if we were caught, we might get killed because one, it's the top prison and two, we aren't going to be on our own territory.
Greta crosses her arms, "Whatever, anyways, I've got to get going, byee.
C'mon Darian, I'll walk you," she says, grabbing his hand and dragging him out of my room.
"See you tomorrow!" Darian shouted from the end of the hallway. I shook my head and laughed; she was persistent to leave.
Anyways, now it was time to ask my parents if I could visit this prison. A once in the lifetime chance. All I had to do was be convincing, saying it's going to be on a test or whatever.
As I finish that thought, the front door opens and slams shut, dad! I run downstairs, making sure to bring the papers and a full pen. I was going, no matter what I tell you!
"Hey dad!" I smile, peaking around the corner of the wall.
He looks up at me with a tired face then smiles back, "Good evening my love, what's that in your hand?" he asks.
I bite my lip; I need to start out simple. "A permission slip." I hope that was vague enough for him. But I knew he'd eventually push me to tell him, or he would just take the paper and read it. Not everybody has time for my shit. I learnt that lesson long ago.
He raises an eyebrow, "So what are you hiding from me?" he asks like I'm an open book.
I groan, he knew me too well for any of my pathetic tactics to work, damnit. "The Alpha gave everybody at the high school a permission slip to go to the top security prison to see the worst criminals in werewolf history that are alive," I tell him, being completely honest. Sometimes that worked, it just mattered what mood he was in at the moment.
His face goes straight, "Oh yes, I got an automatic phone call from his office. Would you like to go? I know our family has had extremely bad history with those killers and their mates, but I won't let that convince you on this trip it's your choice," he breathes out. I knew my dad well enough that he didn't want me to go, but he respected that i was almost an adult and I could make my own choices in life.
"I want to", I simply say, handing him the pen and paper. He nodded, sitting on the couch to fill out the papers as excitement built inside of me.
I was actually going to do this.
The next week I woke up an hour early, too excited to sleep. Probably because I'd see those bastards who killed my family and I could personally give them the bird. That's nothing, but I couldn't kill them. I wish I could, they all deserve to be hanged, and while they suffered from choking on a silver rope, set fire to the rope. A bit extreme, but they killed the innocent.
I went diving in my dresser and found a cute outfit for the occasion. A flower prints off the shoulder blouse, along with black leggings and grey sneakers. Oh, and pink lingerie, always have to match or I just don't feel comfortable.
When I arrived at school, all the kids went to their classes, but two classes were combined. Which means two classes went at a time- every two hours. Luckily the class mine merged with was with Darian. I was going to feel so awkward if neither of my best friends were with me on this one in a lifetime trip. Poor Greta, but I know she has a lot of other friends. I believe she will be good.
"Okay class," the teacher says snapping me out of my thoughts. Darian didn't bother to listen since he was listening to Hollywood Undead on his phone. I guess I'm going to have to tell him later the rules and crap. I knew they were going to be strict.
"As you all know, we are going today to the Alpha Prison, the strongest know prison in the werewolf world. But first, rules-" this made the students sigh, tired of rules, they already had enough at school. They just didn't understand you couldn't be stupid in this place. If you were, you could get killed, and not by the murderers.
"Rule 1: Never, ever, split away from the group. If you do, please find the nearest guard and they will understand your situation and bring you back.
Rule 2: Do not talk to, touch, or stare at the prisoners. Staring contests can make them agitated and angry. Looking and glancing is permitted.
Rule 3: As you know, our Alpha will be there. Listen to his every command. You should already be doing that, but being teenagers, you need reminders.
Breaking any of these rules can leave you to be punished by the prison's guards who are ruthless and have no care if you are petite, big, girl, or if you have a dick. Now, any questions?" my teacher smiles.
I slowly raise my hand and he spot it immediately, frowning, my questions were never jokes. He knew if I didn't get them answered, l'd find the answer myself.
"Evelyn," he calls my name and people turn towards me and I lightly blush. I hated raising my hand sometimes.
I cough, "What's the point of this trip? There's no reason to do this, there's no educational purpose. So, what's the deal?" I ask, repeating my question differently so he knew I wanted to know.
He looks to his right quickly before looking at me. He was going to fucking lie, great. "Great question. We were given this opportunity to show everybody the truth behind these criminals," he says in a shaky voice.
Darian squints his eyes at the teacher, I didn't know he had taken his earbuds out. One thing we had in common was we hated being lied to.
He's normally shy, but when people lie, he will tell you.
"You're lying," Darian says, having a staring contest with the nervous teacher.
He laughs, "Well, ask the Alpha," he smiles.
"Now off we go kids," he says, turning away immediately to avoid us.
Off we go, off we go.
Alpha William stood tall in front of the combined class; no sign of happiness could be seen. One thing I did notice is that he was a bit tired, the bags under his makeup covered eyes was obvious. Today I was going to be extra observant, I even brought a brand-new notebook to note everything odd. The first one was right in front of me.
1- Odd Alpha behavior. Does not seem like ordinary self.
"Welcome children, your teacher has already told you the rules and such. So, there's nothing holding us back from going through these gates," he states, pointing to the extremely heavy 3 door entry.
2- All gates are wide opened, and we aren't even in yet. Newspapers never said all gates are opened at the same time for security reasons.
"Now follow me and be orderly. We don't need any troublemakers," he says, motioning for us to follow him. We did, me and Darien in the middle. I didn't want them to get suspicious of me and my constant notes. I looked around a while ago I read an article stating that there were only 200 guards stationed at this prison. Wrong.
3- Over 300 guards. Media lies. As we entered the main prison building my heart started to beat faster. I was getting more excited than I had planned. I was also a bit scared, but also... I can't figure out this other feeling. I'll stick it to an unknown fear.
But it doesn't feel bad.
"Okay kids, welcome to the Alpha High Security Prison," a deep, old voice speaks up. I try and jump up to see who it is, but Darien ended up giving me a piggyback ride. He was already tall enough to see above everybody else. I just stood out like a sore thumb while on his back.
"I hope you enjoy the tour. Now let's get going," the old warden says, taking the lead. Our Alpha standing tall next to him.
The halls were white and boring, everything looking exactly the same.
4- Maze-like prison. Everything looks same.
I was taking note of everything that stuck out to me and possibly not other people. I was planning to show Greta and Darien this later, to see if they also saw what I saw.
"As you may not know there is no prisoner mess hall here," the warden speaks. "The prisoners always stay in their cells. No nothing, not even if they die. One of the prisoners had a dead body in his cell for his whole first year because of that rule," he snickered. I frowned, after a month a body is obviously dead. It's pretty sadistic to leave the body rot with the new prisoner, but I guess they deserve all the bad things in life.
5- Sadistic Warden.
Sweet and simple. That's what I'm trying to stick with, so it doesn't look obvious.
We walked, well I rode, for another ten minutes before we reached an open area full of cell doors. "This is the lowest level of security in this prison." There was a guard by each door, even a couple grey wolves pacing around. Rumor has it that the darker your fur is, the stronger you are. White wolves aren't known for their strength, just beauty. Mine was in the middle, somewhere.
"There are currently 12 prisoners in here. All their crimes include killing between five to ten werewolves," the warden says while glaring at all of the cells. Who wouldn't just want to give these worthless bodies of flesh a death glare? I wonder why they kept them alive. I wish I could write a note, but no, there was nothing that was too odd.
The warden talked for another ten minutes before we moved to the Middle Security section. Two guards by each door, holding a loaded gun with silver bullets. They killed ten plus werewolves, disgusting beyond words.
But I was still excited. My heart beating fast, and I was breathing heavily. I put my hand over my heart, begging it to slow down. Maybe I should walk. I get off Darian's back and he looks down at me with slightly worry. He hears my heartbeat. I smile lightly, showing him I'm okay, but I knew he didn't believe it.
