Eloise's POV
I woke up to the golden rays of sun glistening in my eyes, 'wow that's bright' I thought to myself as I put my arm across my eyes to block the sun.
As I lay there, I can hear the birds singing and chirping away which reminded me, it's my twenty first birthday. Every year on my birthday I would wake to my mum and dad singing me their own version of the birthday song but this year I didn't.
'Something must be wrong for this not to happen' I thought. I jumped out of bed and called for them, but there was no response, starting to worry, I ran downstairs to see if they were there.
I went into the living room; everything was decorated in 21st birthday banners and is a massive twenty-one balloon that is standing tall alongside my presents. Smiling to myself for what my parents have done for me I knew they were okay.
I called for them again, and still no reply. I left the living room and headed for the kitchen. Upon nearing the kitchen, I can see the kitchen door is closed to and I can hear my parents talking quietly. I listened in before I made it known that I was there.
"Please just talk to him Spencer, we can't go through with this deal. She's my baby, our baby, none of this is right" 'what is my mum going on about, why is she crying?' I questioned myself?' I decided to listen to what my dad had to say before I went into the kitchen, whatever they were discussing had to do with me.
I put my ear to the crack of the open door again as soon as I started to hear my dad talk, "do you really think I want this to happen to our daughter? Do you really think I am happy about this Connie? Remember it wasn't just my fucking doing, you were there, you agreed, you signed them God damn papers too. We have no choice but to continue our agreement with Mr Oakes."
At this point I have so many unanswered questions. I was so confused. I don't know what came over me, but I burst through the door as if I was trying to break it down. Startled, my mum began to sing happy birthday to me, but I cut her off, "What are you both talking about? What papers? What deal? What can't you do to me and who is Mr Oakes? I fired all my questions to my parents a once.
My mum and dad looked at each other, my mum gave my dad a look as if to say 'don't you dare say a thing' but my dad ignored her gesture and told me to come and sit down next to him whilst patting the seat of the black leather breakfast stall that is beside him.
As I sat down my mum started pleading to my dad to not say anything and to just let me have my day and then we could sit down as a family and talk about it together later. "You know we can't do that Connie; you know we are meeting Mr Oakes this evening; Eloise needs to be prepared instead of having this news sprung onto her later" my dad said apologetically.
"Seriously, can you just tell me what the hell is going on please. I am sitting in limbo here" I said frustratedly. My mum started to cry again and said she couldn't do this and walked out the room.
"Please dad just tell me what's happening." My dad turned to face his whole body towards me, he cleared his throat and said, "Remember when you was a little and I told you a story about a family who were going through a very hard time and they were on the verge of losing everything?"
"Yes, I remember, what does that have to do with this?" I asked confusingly. "Let me finish and you will understand." Said my dad as patted my knee.
"Do you remembering me telling you, one day a knight in shining Armor came to the rescue to help this poor family out by giving them money, and the money they borrowed from the knight worked out not being enough so, the adults of the family had a meeting with the knight and they had do something that they did not want to do, and no matter how hard they tried they had no other choice and had to do it anyway."
"I remember this story yes, but can you just get to the point" I ordered still none the wiser of what is going on.
"Lastly, do you remember me telling you the adults of the family had to sign a contract that was proposed by the knight, and this contract that the adults signed was a way of paying back the money owed to the knight." Frowning with confusion still, I said "yes, I remember, I remember feeling really sad for the family, but you're not answering my question, what does that story have to do with what I heard you and mum discussing about me?"
"That story has everything to do with you, it's about us, that family is us. "I was so taken back by what my dad just admitted to, I grew up thinking everything was fine, there were no problems at all in our family home. I guess that's the innocence of a child and not having a care in the world, plus my parents hid it all so well.
"I'm so sorry dad, I had no idea, looking back on certain thing though, some of it makes sense as to why we had to miss out on a lot of things. I'm still a bit confused with the rest of it, what does the contract have to do with me?" I asked eagerly.
My dad took a deep breath and continued, "The business that I used to own, it started failing I was getting behind in bill payments and eventually I could no longer pay anything. Mr Oakes, you know, the knight in shining Armor, my old school friend got wind of my situation and offered to help. Your mum and I took him up on his offer and accepted the money that he was offering to loan us and as I said, In the end the money wasn't enough and not before long we were back in the red and bailiff letters started coming through the door again.
I asked Mr Oakes to loan me more money and it gradually built up to seven hundred and eighty-five thousand pounds. I knew I'd never be able to pay that money back and my idiot self-thought I would deal with it when the time comes.
Back then my pride, my ego was too big to let my company fold, and I did not want everyone thinking I was a failure. Around nine months later I had to admit defeat, I had to forget about my pride and claim bankruptcy. Mr Oakes knew there was no chance in getting his money back, so he came up with another plan on how to solve the matter.
To write our debt off we had to agree that on your twenty first birthday we would introduce you to his son and then not long after it will be arranged for you both to be married. I am so sorry Lu. We must meet with the Oakes later today."
At this point my mum entered back in the room still crying. "Honey please say something, please don't just sit there, please just let us know that you're okay." My mum asked between sobs.
I am speechless, I cannot find a way to respond, my head is spinning with every word my dad has just relayed to me, my so called parents signed my life away to a stranger. I do not even know how to comprehend the way I am feeling, I have too many mixed emotions going on inside my body, angry, sad, shocked, confused, you name it I was feeling it! I stood up and slammed my hands down on to the marble surface of our breakfast bar shaking the coffee maker and cups and saucers.
"How do you think I fucking feel? You signed a contract confirming to marry me off to clear the debt you were, are fucking in. Did you think I'd be jumping for joy and dancing round the kitchen because my parents have arranged my marriage, which is illegal may I add."
Out of nowhere, my chest started tightening and I began to get excruciating pains in my chest too. My throat feels like it is starting to close up and I cannot breathe, I need to get out of here, I ran out the kitchen and upstairs to my bedroom and slammed the door shut.
I walked over to my bay window, one hand is clenched holding my chest, the other is holding onto the windowsill for support. I have never felt this way before, whatever this feeling is, is scaring me. It feels like I am going to die.
Trying to catch my breath through gasps failed me. So, I began panting, once I was able to calm myself with panting, I slowly moved on to deep breaths. My breathing eased quite quickly after that. As soon as this petrifying ordeal was over, I took myself to my bed. I lay there scrunched up in a ball and then tears started fall, 'How can they do this to me, their daughter, their only child. Do they not love me enough? They obviously don't because they are more than happy to sign me over to a complete stranger.
Your parents are meant to protect you from the world but yet my parents chucks me to the wolves without a care in the world. My birthdays ruined, I now have no family and I just don't know what I am going to do.' All this crying and thinking made me so exhausted, my eyes started flickering and slowly by slowly they shut.
Connie's POV
'I'm heartbroken, seeing how much this has affected Eloise has truly shattered my heart. I knew she wouldn't take it well, but I was not expecting this reaction.
Ten years ago, Spencer and I signed that stupid contract and I was so naive to think that it would all be fine, I honestly thought that it would be forgotten about but here we are ten years later and this horrid agreement still has to go ahead.'
I was pacing around the kitchen when Spencer told me to stop. "Can you stop, you're annoying me, what's walking round like a headless chicken going to achieve? You should be up there seeing to Eloise, not in here doing nothing." Spencer said sternly to me. "Do you really have to keep talking to me like that! Do you not think I want to be up there right now with our daughter consoling her. You see how she reacted, she hates us, what makes you think I can magically click my fingers, and everything will be okay? You're deluded do you know that?" I snapped back at him.
Yes I played a part in this ridiculous ordeal and yes I hold my hands up, I stupidly thought it would all be forgotten about but we are in this situation because of him, if he didn't have a gambling problem then we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place, we have lost everything because of him. He has thrown everything that we, I, worked hard for away. I would of happily lived in the gutter until we got back on our feet but Spencer convinced me otherwise. However, Spencer is right, my daughter needs me, and I can't bring myself to face her. The guilt is eating me alive.
A little while later I decided to face the situation and headed upstairs to check on her. I got to the top of the stairs and turned towards Eloise's bedroom, I stood outside her door for a while and just listened but there was no sign of movement or noise.
I tapped on her door, and she didn't respond so I tapped again and asked Eloise to let me in. Eloise opened the door just a crack so I could see only a small part of her eye. "Please let me in Eloise, we need to talk about this" I begged.
"I AM NOT MEETING NOR AM I MARRYING MR OAKES SON" Eloise said raising her voice at me. "Eloise move away from the door please so I can come in and have an adult conversation about this with you, I think I have a way of getting around this but we both need to be on the same page" I replied to her calmly.
"What are you not getting, I am not taking part in any of your bullshit plans." After Eloise said that she shut the door in my face. I rested my forehead against the door with my eyes closed trying to work out what move to take next.
Eloise's POV
I woke to a knock on my door, still tired and not really with it I rolled over so I was facing my French windows. I noticed the sun was starting to set and the sky was glowing a wine red and a fiery orange, it looked so beautiful and the birds singing along just made the whole scenery perfect. It was so intoxicating I could lay here forever just staring up at the sky.
For a second I forgot about reality until another knock sounded followed by my mum calling my name. I refused to open the door fully to her so I only opened it a crack so she could barely see me.
My mum thinks we can work this out and produce some sort of plan, but the damage has already been done. She still wants me to go through with the meeting and marriage. I no longer could bare talking to her, so I shut the door in her face.
Sliding down the door till my bum touched the floor I could feel my eyes starting to burn with the tears that were threatening to pour out. 'I can't do this, I can't be here' I thought to myself. I need to leave, and I need to leave now.
I crawled over to my bed and pulled my suitcase from underneath, I packed as much clothes and essentials as I could and walked towards my window. I opened my window and hung my suitcase out, I lowered it as much as I could stretch my body before falling out and dropped my suitcase down to the lawn.
Next, I reached out and grabbed hold of the trellis that was nailed to the my red brick exterior wall, moving slowly I climbed onto the trellis and climbed down trying to avoid the rainbow of flowers and greenery that grew all over the trellis.
As soon as I got to the bottom I picked up my suitcase and run. I looked back to make sure no one had seen me and to make sure my parents weren't following me.
I was in such a daze whilst running I wasn't aware of my surroundings until I properly came to my senses. I was at the end of the road where my two best friends live, Ashley and Lauren. Ashley and Lauren are twins but they're not identical. Ashley looks like her mum and Lauren looks her dad. Ashley has brown hair like her dad and Lauren has blonde hair like her mum. They both have deep blue eyes and while Ashley is tall, Lauren is short.
We have known each other since we were infants so it's quite natural that we are very close. We actually refer to each other's parents as Aunt and Uncle, that's how close we are. In fact, we say we are more like sisters than we are best friends. We have a bond like no other and I trust them with my life.
As soon as I got outside their house, I paused, I needed to catch my breath but as soon as I stopped, I started to cry again. I ran down the path and then up the steps to their front door. 'Bang, Bang, Bang' I hammered on their door with my fist.
"Alright, ALRIGHT I am coming" I heard Ashley say as she got closer to the door to open it. "Come on, Come on, Come on" I kept muttering to myself whilst looking over my shoulder to check that my parents were not behind me. The Front door flew open, and Ashley stood there staring at me.
Ashley's POV
I was about to watch a movie with Lauren, it's Friday which means it's movie night. I picked up the control from the coffee table and fell back onto the sofa with a relaxing sigh, it had been a long day at Uni. "I can't wait for Uni to be over Lau" I said as I turned to face my sister. "Why you picked Law to study Ash I don't know, it's not like you want to take that route for a career anyway" Lauren replied to me." "I know, but at the time it sounded like it would be so much fun and exciting, daring even. I loved the idea of getting to experience real life high and low cases in court, but all this work is so draining." I expressed with an unenthusiastic voice.
All of a sudden, loud thumps appeared from out of nowhere, they scared the life out of us to the extent we screamed, and Lauren threw the popcorn all over the living room. I got up and started to walk to the front door and the thumping continued, "Alright, ALRIGHT IM COMING. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO? BREAK THE DOOR DOWN!" I shouted in a sarcastic tone.
I reached the door and looked through the spy hole and to my surprise it was Eloise on the other side. 'What is she doing here, she's meant to be out celebrating her birthday with her family' I thought to myself.
I yanked the door open and glared at her, "Who do you think you are the police? Why are you knocking on my door like that Lu? You scared the living shits out of us." Before Eloise could reply, I noticed she had been crying.
"Oh, Lu what's the matter? Why are you crying?" I asked in a sympathetic tone. "Why are you leaving El to stand there you idiot, let her in." Lauren said as she appeared behind me. "Sorry Lu, come in." I said in apologetic tone.
As Eloise stepped inside and entered my hallway I see her suitcase in her hand, I looked at it and then looked over to Lauren as if to say 'What the hell is going on' Lauren knew exactly what I was trying to say and pouted back at me with a frown and a little shake to the head.
Lauren's POV
We are standing in the hallway looking at each other awkwardly; we have never been awkward with each other at all before. The silence was unbearable, I had to break it.
"El" everyone calls Eloise Lu, I however prefer to use El. "What's the matter? Why you so upset? Where is your mum and dad?" Ignoring the question, EI asked "Can I stay here for a few days please girls, I really don't want to be at home, I can't be at home." El said in between little sobs.
"Of course, you can, you know our house is your house right." I took Eloise's suitcase and set it aside and gestured for the three of us to enter the living room. The popcorn was still dispersed all over the living room floor and furniture.
"Ignore that, we will clean that up in a minute" Ashley piped up. "Tell us what is happening, why are you here?" Continued Ashley. "I'm sorry, I can leave if you want me to, I was unsure on where else to go" Eloise said in a low sad voice. "Ashley wasn't implying that El. We are worried that's all. We have never seen you like this before. The only El we know is always happy, smiling and laughing. You always have a smile on your face, as far as I can recall we have never seen you without one if I'm honest." I butted in so El didn't get the wrong end of the stick.
"Here sit down" Ashley said as she used her hand to gesture it to the sofa. We all took a seat and Ash and I Continued to press El for answers. "Well, are you going to tell us what's going on or not" Ashleigh asked eagerly wanting to know what has caused her friend so much sadness.
"I am not sure where to begin. It's all so crazy, it's just all so messed up." "Well, you can always start from the beginning" I said trying to coach El into giving us an inkling in what this is all about.
"I am getting Married" El blurted out. "Well, I am but I'm not, Well I'm meant to be." Eloise rambled. I side eyed Ashleigh and she looked just as confused as me.
Eloise's POV
I can see the twins looking so confused. I really didn't want to go into detail, I'm so fed up with talking and thinking about it I just wanted to forget about it for a while.
"I am not understanding! How can you be getting married if you don't have a boyfriend let alone a fiancé" Ashley stated. "Yeah, is this you trying to wind us up El?" Lauren chimed in.
"No, it's not a wind up, my parents got into some bother when I was younger and my dad accepted help from his old school friend, however since my dad could not pay his friend back my parents and my dad's old school friend came to an agreement. I had to marry their son at the age of twenty-one. On my twenty first birthday it was agreed by all parties that I would meet the son and then marry him a few months later.
I put my head in my hands and shook it from side to side, I was no longer upset, I was now angry, I was livid. "Are you sure El" Lauren asked as if she doubted every word I just said.
"Well I'm not making it up if that's what you think Lau" I abruptly replied. "Well in that case just tell your parents no." said Ashley, "do you not think I have already tried that but unfortunately for me there's a contract out there with my parents signature on confirming that I Eloise Ada Porter will marry Mr" I stopped in my tracks as it dawned on me, I do not even know the name of the boy I am meant to be marrying.
Spencer's POV
I picked up the Jack Daniels bottle from the table and poured it in my glass. I picked up the glass and started to swirl it, I was watching the waves of whisky hitting upwards inside the glass. I then went into deep thought.
'How the fuck did I end up here? How did I let everything slip through my fingers? I had it all and then just like that there was nothing.' In one gulp the whisky was gone. I slammed my glass down and went to the living room to find Connie.
"Well did you speak to her? What did she say?" I asked my wife. "Nothing, she said nothing. Eloise refused to talk to me" my wife announced. "What do you mean she said nothing, surely she said something." "I'm telling you she didn't say anything, can you blame her?" I could feel Connie getting agitated with me, she cannot stand to be around me when I have been drinking, apparently, she doesn't like the person I turn into, whatever that means I don't know. I am just me.
"Fine, I'll go and talk to her myself." I said as I headed out the room towards the stairs. I started to sway as I tried walking up the stairs, my eyes constantly needing adjusting. Finally, I made it to LuLu's room. I didn't knock, I just burst right in calling her name. I used her door as support to hold me up. I scanned her bedroom, and she wasn't here, I see her window wide open and intuitively knew she was gone.
Letting go of the door I managed to stumble back down the stairs without falling down them. "She's gone, Eloise is fucking gone. How could she fucking do this to me, she knows how important this meeting is. Get your coat on, we are going to find her" I shouted at my wife.
Connie stood up with her finger pointing and charged at me, I had never seen her this angry before, she is furious. Her eyes are glazed over with like some sort of mist, her top lip was raised showing gritted teeth and her nose is all screwed up.
"How dare you, How Fucking dare you make this all about you. Our daughter's life has been turned upside down because of you! That's right, you, there, I have said it. We would not be in this mess if it wasn't for you! It was your choice to gamble all our money, it was your choice to put your family last, it was your choice to keep loaning money off Mr Oakes, it was all your choice. It is you that has gotten us into all this mess, not me nor Eloise. So, it's not how could she do this to you, it's how could you do this to her, us. I wished I left you when I had the chance, maybe just maybe Eloise and I would have been happy."
I felt thrown, flabbergasted, speechless, you name it I felt it, I just stood here not knowing what to say, I did not know my wife felt like this. She wished she left me. I sobered up quite quickly after my wife's little outburst. I tried to apologise but Connie was not having it. I really think I have pushed it too far this time. "I am going out to try and find our daughter. You can stay here in case she comes back" Connie ordered me.
Connie's POV
I came back downstairs after my encounter with Eloise, I noticed Spencer was in the kitchen drinking alcohol. I hate it when he drinks, he becomes so aggressive and irrational. The only good thing about Spencer when he drinks is he never plays up in front of Eloise.
I sat in silence on the sofa wondering who was going to come to me first. Is it going to be Eloise? Is she ready to hear me out or was it going to be him, my husband! I hope not, I hope he just stays there or passes out drunk. I have not got the energy for his drunken ways.
The sound of a glass hitting a table made me jump, I snapped back from being locked in my head. I heard the chair scrape along the floor in the kitchen and the feeling of a dread came over me. From the corner of my eye, I see Spencer in the doorway of the living room, I dare look at him because I can tell by his aura that he isn't in a pleasant mood.
The thing about my husband, when he hasn't had a drink, he is the most kind, caring gentlest man you would ever meet but once the devil gets inside him then that man is gone. I can still see spencer from the corner of my eye, but this time he isn't standing in the doorway, he is staggering over to me.
He stands only a few feet away from me and starts questioning me about Eloise. He refuses to believe me when I say she would not talk to me. He believes I am hiding something from him and wants to know what it is. Without getting any answers from me he takes it upon himself to speak to Eloise.
I can see him struggling to get up the stairs, it is an accident waiting to happen. Surprisingly he made it up there simply fine, I then heard her bedroom door crash into her bedroom wall, I leapt up to go and check that everything was okay, but Spencer was already back down the stairs enraged that Eloise was gone.
"What do you mean she's gone?" I questioned him "I was only up there half an hour ago" I added. Spencer being drunk Spencer started cursing, he was acting like everything was Eloise's fault and she had done him dirty. I felt this extreme anger take over my body and everything became clouded, and I flipped.
I even scared myself with the way I acted. I gave Spencer a piece of my mind and it felt good, so bloody good. All my thoughts over the years that I kept inside I let out. You could see in Spencer's face how shocked he was, he was speechless. I told him to stay home while I went out looking for Eloise.
I must have phoned Eloise at least 30 times leaving voicemail after voicemail. My darling girl was not picking up. I tried putting myself in Eloise's shoes, 'Where would I go if I wanted to run away from home' my first thought was Ashley and Lauren's house, the girls are close and inseparable. Any problems the girls might have, all three of them rally together and it becomes all their problem. They are there for each no matter what. I love that Eloise has friends like them.
I brushed the idea of Eloise being with them off. Although they always go to each other for advice I think this time would be too obvious and she knows this will be the first place her father and I would look.
I started driving towards Hyde Park, I know Eloise likes to visit here when she needs to clear her head sometimes. She loves the rose garden that has a fountain known as the boy and the dolphin fountain. She finds this place so calming and relaxing. I pull up to the closest entry to the fountain and jump out the car, I run through the gates and down the long pathway.
I reached the entrance of the rose garden, praying she was there, I see a girl with long brown curly hair sitting on one of the benches. She looks exactly like Eloise from behind, I call out her name and the girl turned around, my heart sunk, she is not Eloise. I apologised for my mistake and then asked if she had seen a girl fitting Eloise's description. Feeling deflated when the girl told me no, I could feel tears starting to form in the corner of my eyes.
I thanked the girl and rushed off. Getting back in the car I tried Eloise again, and as usual she refused to pick up, I tried to phone her friends who didn't answer my phone call the first time I tried. Everyone I managed to get a hold of all said they had not seen or spoken to her; I was stuck for ideas on where to search. So, I continued driving the streets looking for her. My last possibility were Ashley and Lauren, I tried Ashley first but to no avail, I then phoned Lauren.
Eloise's POV
My phone is constantly ringing and then voicemail after voicemail keeps pinging through. "You should answer that Lu, your mum and dad must be worried. They are most probably wondering where you are and if you're safe" Ashleigh said to me acting concerned.
"I'm not ready to talk to her or my dad" I replied. "As far as I'm aware they could be ringing me only to persuade me to go to this meeting with Mr Oakes."
"Mr Oakes, as in THE Mr Oakes" Lauren asked looking shocked but excited. "I don't know who you're talking about Lauren, I don't know anyone who goes by the name of Mr Oakes" "Oh yes you do EL, well not technically but you know of him. Mr Oakes, you know, the wealthiest man in Europe, The Mr Oakes who owns Oakes Enterprise, The Mr Oakes who owns Oakes Lily hotel chain and all the Blue Orchids restaurants and not to mention all the new Ivy Leaf bars he has opened across London" explained Lauren.
Rolling my eyes at Lauren I said "of course I have heard of him, who hasn't but sorry to disappoint you El, no its not him. My father does not know anyone like that Mr Oakes." Lauren now has me thinking, 'what if he is the Mr Oakes my dad has been talking about? No, it can't be, he wouldn't make an agreement like that with my father, would he? But then thinking about it, it could be him! What other Mr Oakes is there that will happily lend seven hundred and eighty-five thousand pounds to someone and not be bothered about getting the money back but instead creates a contract for their son to marry the borrower's daughter instead! I mean that is a lot of money to not be worried about having back especially if your someone like THE Mr Oakes because he is loaded.
"What are you thinking about Lu?" Ash asked. "I actually think you could be right Lau; I think the Mr Oakes my dad has been talking about this whole time is THE Mr Oakes, it all makes sense now, I can't believe it." I was shocked, I could not believe it was him who my dad made a deal with. "Well, what are you going to do now? You're meant to be meeting him tonight with your mum and dad." Lauren made a valid point, what am I going to do?
Lauren's POV
I asked El what she was planning to do now that she knows whose son she has been contracted to, to marry. "I am not going to marry him if that's what you're asking. I don't even know the name of Mr Oakes son, let alone know him as a person. Why should I have to marry someone to pay off someone else's debt. I had nothing to do with what happened between my father and Mr Oakes but for some reason they have made it my responsibility and it's not fair."
"I get what you're saying El, but think about it, they're loaded, you can have everything you ever wanted. Does that no interest you in the slightest?" I asked her.
"I couldn't care less if they are rich or not, money means nothing. I want to marry someone that loves me, I want to marry someone who adores me and will be there for me through thick and thin, who will pick me up when I am down and celebrate me when things are good. Not someone who is only married to me because they have been forced to. We will just be so unhappy and resentful to everyone that put us in that situation."
After Eloise made this very fair point, my phone started to ring, "Eloise it's your mum, what do I do?" "Don't answer it, ignore it, cut it off" she said. Questing myself I replied, "I can't, I'm sorry, I have to answer it." I turned around and headed for the hallway.
"Hi Auntie Connie" I said nervously, "Hello Lauren, are you with my Eloise? She took off earlier terribly upset and I can't find her anywhere, she's not answering my calls or replying to any of my messages, and I am really worried about her."
I paused for a moment and then responded, "Err, yeah she's here Auntie Connie but she doesn't want to talk right now, can I relay a message to her for you?" "Oh, thank goodness, no its okay thank you, I am on my way to you now anyway, I will be with you in ten, make sure she stays put." The line then went dead so I made my way back to the living room to Ash and El.
"El your mum is on her way; I did say you was not up having a conversation but she still insisted on coming here." El rolled her eyes at me a scoffed "Do I really need to speak to her now, cant it just wait?" "I think it's good that she is coming here to be honest, this needs to be sorted sooner rather than later, your meant to be meeting with Mr Oakes soon so if you really don't want to meet him then you need to make it extremely clear that you are not going.
You also need to let your mum know how you feel, talking to us is great but you need to express everything you have said to us to your parents." I said reassuring her. "Okay I will speak to her but only the grounds that you both stay with me." Eloise pleaded. Placing my hand on top of hers I said, "Whatever you need."
