"Father!"
A soft, angelic voice called from outside the house.
"I'm off to school. Bye!"
"Wait! Did you have your breakfast?"
A man in his forties asked as he stepped out of the house, holding pruning scissors in his hand.
"Yes, Father! And I told you not to trim the flowers-I'll do it when I get back. Oops! I'm already late. See you!"
The girl shouted as she ran off down the road. Her father sighed as he watched her disappear into the distance, then quietly went back inside the house.
Seventeen this year, Ariene was in her first year at the university, studying business management.
Since the age of four, she had always been grateful to her father. After her mother's death from cancer, he had been the one raising her alone, pouring all his love and energy into her with only one regret anchoring his soul.
With no stable job and no idea how to provide for his only child, Mr. Gustavo had been forced to make a desperate choice. He took a job from a man feared throughout the country-Mr. Qin, a notorious underworld drug lord. The pay was high, but the cost was his soul. Once you got involved with Mr. Qin, there was no getting out-not by mistake, and certainly not by choice.
Knowing the danger, Mr. Gustavo did everything in his power to keep his daughter hidden from Qin's world. Over the years, he raised her with unmatched care and affection, so much so that she never once asked about her mother.
He gave her everything she wanted, and she grew into a stunning beauty-milk-white skin, large dark eyes, a slender figure, and shoulder-length dark brown hair. She looked like a young model, and that only deepened her father's fears.
Those fears became reality the day Mr. Qin's son-a younger replica of his father-laid eyes on her by accident. Desperate to protect her, Mr. Gustavo fled the city with Ariene to start a new life elsewhere.
But he had forgotten one truth: No one escapes the Qins.
Back inside the house, he dropped the pruning scissors on the table and headed for the kitchen when his cell phone rang. He frowned at the unknown number but answered it anyway-unaware that it was the call he had dreaded for years.
"Long time, no word from you, Gustavo."
The voice on the other end made his heart drop.
He began to sweat uncontrollably. His hand trembled as he brought the phone back to his ear.
"M... Mr. Q-Q-Qin...?" he stuttered.
"Yes, it's me. It's good to know you still remember me. You left the city thinking you could hide from me? What a foolish mistake. You should know by now-no one hides from me."
Mr. Gustavo's knees weakened. He knew he was doomed. Even if he left the country, Mr. Qin would find him.
"Mr. Qin, I-"
"There is nothing to say," Mr. Qin cut him off. "There's no escape for you this time."
Tu... tu... tu...
The line went dead before Mr. Gustavo could respond.
He sat frozen, drenched in sweat. His mind raced. Just then, a loud bang on the door startled him. His heart skipped. Trembling, he stood silently, hoping whoever was outside would leave.
But then, the door creaked open slightly.
He grabbed the pruning scissors and crept toward the door, ready to strike. But his hand froze midair when he saw who it was.
"Ah! Father, it's me! Did I scare you? You look so tense!"
Ariene peeked inside, her brows furrowed with worry.
Seeing her father so startled made her anxious. Forgetting her own fear, she focused on him.
"Father, please talk to me. Did something happen? Did someone call you?"
Mr. Gustavo didn't answer immediately. Instead, he sighed and walked to the chair, slumping into it with a deep breath.
"Why are you back home so soon?" he finally asked.
Not the question she expected, but she answered.
"I left my assignment on my desk. I came to pick it up. But why were you standing at the door with scissors, sweating like that? Were you threatened? Tell me-I'll call the police!"
"No, not at all. Just get your assignment and return to school immediately," he said, his voice suddenly stern.
"But Fa-"
"I said leave immediately!" he snapped.
She flinched, shocked. Her father had never raised his voice at her before. Without another word, she ran upstairs, grabbed her assignment, and left the house with tear-streaked eyes.
Mr. Gustavo watched her go with a heavy heart. This wasn't what he wanted, but he had no choice. He locked the door and slowly walked upstairs to his room.
Opening his locker, he pulled out an old photo of his late wife. A tear dropped onto the picture as he stared at it.
"If only you were here... our daughter wouldn't be in this mess. I miss you so much, honey."
Clutching the photo to his chest, he lay on the bed and closed his eyes, lost in memories.
---
"Father, I'm back... huh? Where is Father?"
Ariene called as she entered the house that evening.
She looked around the living room but saw no sign of him. Alarmed, she rushed upstairs. Her heart pounded.
"Phew! Father, you scared me. I was looking-huh? What are you doing in my room?"
Her father was standing in her room, holding her packed bag.
"But... Father, that's my bag! And all my clothes? What's going on?!"
"Riene... you have to leave now," Mr. Gustavo said suddenly.
"What?! Why?" she asked, frowning.
"I don't have time to explain. I'll give you enough money. Leave the city. Go somewhere far and don't come back."
"No! I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on! You raised your voice at me today for the first time ever, and now this? I'm not buying it!"
"Riene... please. Just go. Don't ask questions. Don't come back unless I say so."
"Father! No! I'm not going anywhere!" she shouted and stormed out of the house.
"Riene! Come ba-"
He sighed, defeated. She was just like him-stubborn and headstrong.
But how could he tell her the truth? That he had worked for a criminal? That they were on the run? That Mr. Qin had found them?
He sat on her bed, his hand clutching his chest, tears spilling down his cheeks.
If only I had never worked for them... none of this would be happening.
By 10 p.m., Ariene still hadn't returned. Mr. Gustavo paced the living room, checking his watch again and again.
"Where could she be? It's past ten. This is all my fault. What if Mr. Qin's men see her? God, please protect my daughter..."
Then came a knock at the door.
Relief flooded him. He rushed to the door, ready to embrace his daughter.
"Riene... Father is so-"
He froze. Standing at the door were men in black suits.
"We're here for you, Mr. Gustavo. Come with us."
"No! Get your hands off me!"
He struggled, but he was old and unarmed-he didn't stand a chance.
"Father!!!"
Ariene screamed as she appeared at the corner, seeing him being dragged away by strangers.
"Riene! I'm sorry, okay? It's all my fault. Stay inside! Don't look for me! Just stay safe!"
He shouted with tears in his eyes as they forced him into a black van and drove off into the night.
Ariene watched in tears as the black van drove off with her father inside. She screamed at the top of her lungs and collapsed onto the ground, crying.
"It's my fault that Father was taken! sniffs Yes, it's my fault! waaaaaaa I'm stupid, useless, foolish, and selfish! I hate myself! Arrrghhh! If I hadn't gone out, Father wouldn't have opened the door to those strangers! waaaaaaa... I should have listened to him! sniffs What am I going to do? sniffs Where do I even start?" she wailed helplessly.
She rolled around in the mud, sobbing uncontrollably. Her father was all she had in the world. She had promised to make him happy always, yet now-she was the reason he had been kidnapped.
Yes, she was beautiful, but she had always been a loner. Since childhood, no one wanted to be her friend. They all called her father an evil man. But she never saw him that way. He was loving-caring. So why did everyone speak so ill of him? She tried to ignore them, but deep down, it hurt that nobody wanted to be around her. Nobody wanted to be friends with the daughter of a man who worked for a notorious drug lord... and a killer.
Suddenly, something clicked in her mind. She jumped up and ran back inside the house. Storming into her father's room, she rummaged through his things until she found his cell phone. Sitting down, she quickly scrolled through his call log. Her eyes landed on an unknown number with a recent timestamp. Her face twitched as she dialed the number.
"Who is this?" a man's voice answered coldly.
"Please... did you take my father?" Ariene asked through her tears.
"Oho! So Gustavo was hiding you all this time? That explains why we couldn't find you. Well, yes-I took your father. Want to be with him?" the man said with a chuckle.
"C-Can I s-s-see you? P-Please... sir," she begged, choking on her words.
"Hahaha... why not?" the man said and ended the call.
Ariene stared at the phone, sobbing. A moment later, she received a text with an address. Wiping her tears, she returned to her room, changed clothes, packed her bag, and walked out of the house. Standing outside, she looked at it one last time, then headed to the road with heavy tears streaming down her face.

A cab stopped in front of a massive gate. Ariene stepped out, paid the driver, and walked toward the entrance. With slow, heavy steps, she knocked. The gate creaked open-by no one in particular. She stood frozen until she heard a voice say, "Enter."
She stepped in, and the gate closed behind her.
Gulping nervously, her eyes widened at the sight of the grand mansion. It was the biggest house she had ever seen. If only she wasn't here because of her dad...
"What are you standing there for? Come inside!" a voice snapped, snapping her back to reality.
She entered through the door and gasped. The interior was breathtaking-the design, the furniture, everything was perfect. She stood transfixed, unaware of the man who had come to stand beside her.
"Such a beauty. No wonder your father kept hiding you from me," the man said.
Ariene jumped in fright. Turning, she saw the man beside her. Her heart dropped.
"Mr. Qin?!" she screamed mentally, recognizing him immediately. This was the man everyone feared-the one even the government couldn't touch.
"S-Sir! A-Are y-you t-the one who t-took my father?" she asked, voice trembling.
"Oh yes, I am," Mr. Qin said with a grin. "Perhaps your father never told you about me? No problem-you'll get to know me well."
"Please, where is my father?" she asked, ignoring everything else.
"Do you want to join him?" Mr. Qin asked calmly.
"I want to see him. Please, sir!" Ariene dropped to her knees, pleading.
"No, you can't. He's mine now, and I'll do whatever I want with him," he said without emotion.
"Please let my father go! Don't kill him, I beg you!" she sobbed, tears streaming down her pale face.
"Only on one condition. Serve my son for two years, and I'll grant your father freedom. Accepted... or declined?" he asked with a sly grin.
"I will!!" Ariene cried out without hesitation.
Mr. Qin smiled and walked away, leaving her kneeling and alone. She kept crying until a man came and yanked her to her feet.
"Come with me," he ordered and dragged her out of the sitting room.
------
In a dark room, dimly lit by a lantern hanging above, sat a man tied to a chair. His hands and feet were bound. Mr. Gustavo was weak from earlier resistance. Tears slipped down his face as he muttered to himself.
"Ariene... Father is so sorry. So terribly sorry. I shouldn't have dragged you into this mess. I hope... I hope you're safe..."
The door creaked open, and he raised his head slowly.
"Gustavo. Not pleased to see me?" Mr. Qin asked as he stepped in.
"What do you want?" Gustavo asked weakly.
"Tsk. Always in a hurry. You forget-the day you chose to serve me, you vowed to do so until death. That's why no one escapes me. I always find them... until they die or return."
"Mr. Qin... just kill me already. Let me be," Gustavo pleaded.
"Hahaha! Kill you? No. You're still useful."
He leaned down and grabbed Gustavo's chin.
"You will continue working for me," he said and released him.
"I won't! Kill me instead!" Gustavo shouted, his voice cracking.
"You don't have a choice," Mr. Qin sneered. "You know why? Because if you don't comply... I'll take your daughter."
Fear exploded in Gustavo's eyes.
"Leave her out of this! She knows nothing! Please-"
"Her safety is in your hands. Choose wisely... or you'll lose her," Mr. Qin warned, walking toward the door.
"Mr. Qin!" Gustavo called out.
Mr. Qin paused.
"Leave her alone... and I'll continue," he whispered in defeat.
A satisfied smirk curved Mr. Qin's lips as he walked out. Using both father and daughter... now that sounds fun, he thought.
-----
"Father, what did you say?" a young man in his thirties asked, sitting close to Mr. Qin. His long hair fell across his shoulders.
"I said-I got you a slave to have fun with," Mr. Qin said casually, sipping his wine.
"Who?" the young man asked, surprised. His father had never done that before.
"Gustavo's daughter."
"Huh? I thought he ran away. You found him?"
Mr. Qin smiled. "Of course. Did you think I wouldn't? He's the best man I've ever worked with-brings in so much money. But I didn't expect his daughter to be so foolish... she offered herself for his freedom."
"Wow, Father! That's impressive. I'm proud of how you handle things. Hahaha. So... where is she?"
"In the guest room. You'll like her."
--------
Ariene lay on the bed, eyes swollen from crying. She had cried herself weak. All she could do now was hope her father was safe.
"Just like my father said... you are pretty," a voice said suddenly, startling her.
She sat up quickly, eyes wide.
"Easy now... I don't bite. At least, not yet," the young man said, sitting beside her.
She instinctively moved back.
"W-Who a-are y-you?" she stammered.
"My name is Nuel. I guess you already know my father?"
She looked away.
"Where is my father?" she asked suddenly.
"Safe, of course. My father already set him free, as you wished. And that's why I'm here," he said with a smirk.
"I don't believe you!"
"Tsk... my father is a man of his word. Besides, you don't have a choice. From now on-you're mine. I'll be taking you home. Pack your bag. Oh-and don't even think of escaping... unless you want to die," Nuel warned and walked out.
Ariene wiped a lone tear from her cheek.
This was her decision. No one forced her into it.
»»»»TWO YEARS LATER ««««
Ariene sat on her bed as she heaved a long relieved sigh. It was already two years that she served the Qin's young master ~Nuel~ and was due to set free, thus she was relieved.
She packed her bag and left the room with happiness as she was glad that she was going to see her Father soon, she had missed him greatly.
"Where do you think you are going?" Nuel suddenly asked and she halted in her steps and turned back. Seeing the man who tortured her for two years she felt like stabbing him a million times but decided to stay calm, she would be doing that once she leaves the place.
"To see my Father of course!" she replied almost rolling her eyes at him.
"Tsk! Your dear Father says a sloth can't be his daughter!" he said and Ariene became shockede.
"What do you mean? my Father can not say such... Besides, he doesn't know that I've been with you!" she said, not believing anything he said.
"Okay, follow me!" He said and walked away. Ariene stared at his back for a moment and reluctantly followed him. They got to his room and he brought out a pen from his drawer and showed it to Ariene who looked at it confusingly.
"Why are you showing me a pen?" she asked as she stared at the pen the man before her was holding.
"This is a recording pen! I'll press it and all you have to do is listen to it quietly" Nuel said and pressed on a tiny button .
"Gustavo, I know you must be wondering why your daughter hasn't called you for so long right?" a voice said from the recording pen, Ariene frowned upon hearing the voice! She knew who the voice belongs to ~Mr Qin~
"What do you mean, Mr Qin?" Another voice was heard which belonged to Mr Gustavo.
"Your daughter hasn't called for so long and I guess you must have tried her line but isn't going right?... Aren't you wondering why?" Mr Qin asked again!
Ariene's heart became unstable as she listened to the conversation, this was what she feared the most.
"You are quite right sir!" Mr Gustavo said and Mr Qin threw out a hearty laugh.
"Of course I am right! I'm never wrong! hahahaha....*clears throat* Your daughter has actually been working for my son!"
"What? I do not understand! What kind of work?" Mr Gustavo asked
"She satisfies him pleasurably! I'm sure you understand?....Tsk! are you surprised? You better not be, she's been with my son for long and would be coming back to you, okay let me play you a video! hahaha!" Mr. Qin said as he laughed. In the background Ariene heard her moans indicating her sex scenes with Nuel, her face was filled with horror and pain, it felt like she should die at the moment....Mr Qin was showing her sex scene to her Father, how did he expect him to feel, she clenched her fist as tears steamed down her face.
"What?!! I can't believe this! Ariene why did you have to do this to me? You didn't have to punish me like this.." Mr Gustavo said as he cried, after watching his daughter's sex scene with the son of the man he hated most, his heart shattered a million times. All his efforts to make sure she was safe now made useless by her! he felt his anger boil. "I have disowned her! I didn't bring up my child that way! she's nothing but a shame to me! Take her! I don't need her again!" He said and the voice recording ended.
"Father.....please father I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you this way..... I had no choice. Father.....Please forgive me..." Ariene fell to the floor as she cried.
To loose her Father was what she feared the most, she never imagined that she would one day be disowned by her Father. She kept crying and Nuel kept staring at her with a smirk, he wasn't done using her yet.
"You are mine still! And there's no escape for you! The day you try to do it....you will surely die!" He dragged her up and pushed her on the bed while she was crying, she didn't bother struggling as she kept crying, living was nothing to her again because she had lost all reasons to live.
Nuel tied her hands and legs to the bed and tore open her clothes along with her inner wears leaving her completely naked, even after two years of having fun with her, he was not tired because she was extremely beautiful and her body was perfect, he never allowed her do anything only having to sleep with him whenever he felt like.
As Nuel kept going in and out of her bosom, she closed her eyes as she reminisced on her past life with her dad when she was young that she didn't know when new hot tears began to fall from her eyes. She opened her eyes and looked at the man inside of her who was lost in his ecstasy with hatred and anger, if she were to leave the place one day, she vowed to make him and his father pay in a million folds what they did to her.
'Father! I am sorry for what I've done to you! I only did it for your freedom which I do not regret even for one bit. I will never show myself before you if I leave here alive, I wish you would continue living your life and forget about me totally! Yes I am a disgrace to you and I am sorry, I only wish for you not to hate me completely because it's only you that i have...bye Father!' She said inwardly as she cried silently.
-----------
After a month that Ariene got disowned by her father, she was told that he had gotten married to another woman. The news broke her down and she was confined in bed for three weeks
In that three weeks of confinement, she wasn't allowed to rest as Nuel kept having fun with her even in her weak state.
At a time she almost started regretting the decision she took for her father after she was told that he was actually working for them. If she had known, she wouldn't have made such a decision but remembering the love her father showed her when she was a kid... She would only resolve to crying her heart out.
Many times she tried to escape as she was already sick and tired of suffering but each time she does, she'll end up been caught and brought back to her master who would tie her on the bed and whip her tirelessly until her white skin becomes red and full with cane whips, and as if he wasn't satisfied... He would sleep with her for hours until she faints on the bed. She would cry whenever she wakes up and wish she never had a Father like hers..."All these wouldn't have been happening if I didn't sacrifice myself for you father, I hate you!" She would always say whenever she cries.
One day, Ariene sat in the corner of the room as she watched Nuel getting dressed, he just finished having fun with her for two hours, he would have continued if not for the business call he received. He reluctantly came down from her and was wearing his clothes, he stared at Ariene who kept glaring at him with sheer hatred and chuckled out loud.
"You know there is nothing you can do to me!...hope you are aware?" he asked as he chuckled. Ariene ignored him and kept glaring at him. "Stay here! I'll be back soon... Do not think of escaping again!" He said and left the room.
Ariene got up and walked to the window, there she stood as she watched what was happening outside, she saw her master enter the car and drove off immediately... She left the window and walked to the wardrobe to change her clothes.
-------
At the dark, a figure was seen sneaking out of a building through an open window. Ariene had already decided to make another escape attempt with the hope of not getting caught, even though she won't be lucky as usual.. It was better than not trying at all. She wore black so she could blend with the darkness, she then quickly climbed the window and jumped down quietly so as to not make a noise. Even with her weak body, she still managed to do it. She looked around and not seeing any bodyguards around she started moving towards the back yard, she got there and looked around again, she was been extremely careful not wanting to make any mistakes like the previous failed attempts.
There was a table and two chairs by the side of the wall and she quietly carried one of the chairs closer to the wall, using the chair she climbed on the wall, without thinking twice she jumped down from the wall.
"Ahhhhhh!" she screamed so loudly as she hit her knee on a sharp object, it was dark and she couldn't see anything... Using her hand she touched her left knee and felt a metal object that was already stuck inside her knee, she cried silently as the pain crawled its way to her head. For her to try and pull the object out of her leg, she heard fast multiple footsteps approaching and her heart skipped.
"The bodyguards!!" she screamed mentally, not minding the pain and blood that was coming out of her knee, she slowly got up and started limping away.
"Get her!!" She heard the boss of the guards shout behind her... With tears in her eyes she bit her lower lips hard so she wouldn't cry out loud as she kept limp-running towards a dark alley... She got to a very dark spot and fell down, her legs had finally betrayed her. She tried getting up but failed counteless times.
"She's over here boss!!" She heard one of the bodyguards shout not far from her,she knew she was gonna be caught soon but nevertheless she didn't give up! She started crawling on one knee, it wasn't easy but she didn't mind as long as she was able to escape from the men. As she was crawling, not far from her she felt someone's gaze on her and she looked up...it was dark so she wasn't able to see the person's face, with only one thought in her mind, she crawled to the person until she was close enough, she touched the legs and it belonged to a man....She quickly held him tight even as the man tried to remove his legs from her hold.
"Please Sir! help me! help me! anything you want I will do it, just save me from them, please!!" She begged as she held the mysterious man's legs. The Man looked down at her without any emotion shown on his face,
"And why should I save a sick human like you? What could you possibly do for me?" He asked in a cold tone.
"Anything at all.....Slave! Servant! Whatever as long as you save me please!" Ariene kept pleading the man who didn't even budge at all, that was until he smelt something pleasant!
"Blood!!" The mysterious man said inwardly and bent to look closely at the girl, the smell of blood he perceived was strong and enticing that it made his eyes subconsciously glowed but was immediately back to its normal lifeless black as if it never glowed, he drew back and focused his attention on the girl but frowned slightly as she already stopped crying nor even moving, he touched her and found out the she had already fainted.
"Humans are stupidly weak!" he muttered to himself. Picking the girl up like she was a piece of paper, he vanished.
