Chapter 1 1

Evening, at Coast Field City.

"Let go! What are you doing!"

"Help... help, help,"

Faintly heard a woman's voice screaming for help as she ran in fear down the alley where homeless people were resting.

"Let go! Help... help, help!"

One of the men among the homeless woke up and raised his head, looking around. He realized it was not a dream or hallucination because a few meters in front of him, he saw a girl being chased by three men. Despite the many homeless people around, none of them wanted to help the terrified girl being harassed by the three men. They chose to ignore and pretend to sleep.

'Alright, what a fool!' thought the man. He remembered his recent unpleasant experience, why should he even care about the unfortunate girl who was a stranger to him? Since everyone else chose to remain silent, on what grounds should he act like a hero?

"Just take her clothes off! Let's do it here!" shouted one of the three men among the harassers.

"Hey! She's mine, Sam!" another man yelled.

"Do you want to die? Hah?!" continued with a threatening tone.

"Argh! Y-yes, I'm sorry, Ian." The man called Sam looked frightened as Ian, the man he called, gripped his shirt collar, his voice trembling as if he were being choked.

"What are you doing, Jemima? Let's go home, stop causing trouble!" Ian shouted.

The girl, called Jemima, seemed to be trying to evade and use anything to prevent the three rascals from approaching her. But it seemed like her defense was in vain, as the girl appeared weak until Ian finally grabbed and groped her body.

"Let go! Release me, you jerk!" cursed Jemima.

"Come on, just give up, Jemi," said Ian, closing his eyes while sniffing the girl's neck and hair.

"What do you want, Ian? Who asked you guys?!" Jemima yelled while struggling.

"You might have guessed it, and we don't want to disappoint anyone, besides, you are an exception to me," replied Ian.

"If you don't want me to force you, you better be my woman, how about that?" he continued, asking.

"Disgusting!" exclaimed Jemima as she spat towards Ian's face.

"Ugh! Gross! Disgusting!" Muttered Ian as he wiped his face.

"Come on, quickly drag her upstairs and put her in the car!" Ian ordered, seeming to be the leader of the other two men.

The two men who had been very eager to reach the girl's body seemed impatient, especially since they had received orders from Ian.

"Ew! Go away! Don't touch me! Let me go!"

"Don't touch me!"

"Help... someone help me, please__"

Jemima kept screaming and struggling to free herself, but one man who was currently embracing her body seemed indecent, touching and exploring parts of her body.

THUD!

"Ouch!"

A falling sound followed by the girl's cry, the mysterious man who had been observing and refraining from intervening now felt his co,nscience stirring. The man who groped the girl seemed like he should just break both of his hands. But now his gaze was fixed on another man who was now reaching for the girl, while his other companion, who had wanted to strike, was now lying on the asphalt.

"Why did you push me? D*mn it! You jerk, Ian!" shouted the man underneath as he tried to stand up, but to his surprise, Ian pushed and kicked him again.

THUD!

The sound of the man's body falling was soft, ensuring that he was extremely sore from being struck against the asphalt by the man named Ian earlier.

"You d*mn Ian?! What is this?!" the man yelled again in pain, grimacing.

"If you dare to touch her, I will smash your hands, you pervert!" Ian continued, yelling threateningly.

"D*mn you! Let's go, Jemima!" Ian shouted again while pulling Jemima's body. The girl appeared to be writhing but helpless. At one point, the girl's dull eyes met the gaze of the mysterious man who was also looking towards her, once again, her gaze touched the heart of the mysterious man.

"Argh, d*mn it!" the man muttered as he stood up from his seat.

He walked closer, searching for something to play with, and then playfully threw a few pebbles directly at the three men.

Plop! One pebble landed on Ian's head.

"Who is that?!" Ian exclaimed, startled, looking around, rubbing his head, and searching for the person who had dared to throw at his head.

Plop! Before he was done dealing with Ian, this time the throw struck squarely at Sam's back.

"D*mn it! Who is this?!" Sam shouted.

"What's going on?" Mat looked confused, but he quickly took a few steps back, afraid of being hit by the rapidly thrown stones.

"If you dare, come out!" Ian shouted.

From the darkness emerged a man who approached, and the tunnel lights began to reveal his true form.

"Hah?! What is this? A homeless person?!" Ian shouted after realizing who the man in front of him was.

"Are you tired of living?!"

"D*mn, homeless!"

The mysterious man seemed indifferent to all of Ian's insults, he approached further and managed to grab the girl's arm from Ian's grip.

"Let her go, you b*st*rd!"

Ian looked very angry when a stranger he considered unkempt and repulsive appeared.

Meanwhile, Jemima didn't care at all about who came to help her. What mattered was that the girl was very grateful that someone still cared about her fate.

"Let's finish off that homeless person!"

Ian and his two friends prepared to retaliate against the unkempt man in front of them. They began to attack the homeless man whose face was partially covered by the hoodie jacket he was wearing.

"Since when do we deal with homeless people?" Sam taunted as he punched towards the mysterious man, but failed as the man quickly dodged his punch.

"Never, pfft!" Mat grunted with a bit of enthusiasm because the man turned out to be agile.

"I'm afraid my clothes will get infected and my skin will be exposed to bacteria from his body," added Mat with a hint of sarcasm.

"Ah, you talk too much. Quickly, get Jemima back for me!" Ian impatiently exclaimed.

"Attack that homeless person!"

Chapter 2 2

Although reluctant, Sam and Mat came forward together after William gave the order. They were ready to swing their fists, while Ian seemed to retreat in disdain of the mysterious man.

Jemima moved forward, in line with the mysterious man who had been protecting her. However, the man pulled Jemima back to stand behind him.

Sam pulled out a sharp weapon, intending to end it as quickly as possible because he was disgusted by the unkempt appearance of the man in front of him. He also couldn't stand the odor emanating from the man's body.

The mysterious man and Jemima took a few steps back, Sam began to launch an attack with his sharp weapon, but his target was Jemima. Fortunately, the weapon did not harm Jemima as it was blocked by the mysterious man's arm.

"Hey! What are you doing, Sam?!" Ian shouted, seeing Jemima almost injured by Sam's attack.

Both of Jemima's eyes widened in surprise when she saw blood starting to flow from under the sleeve of the shirt of the mysterious man who was currently protecting her.

"How? Does it hurt?" Sam taunted with a smirk.

"Why is this homeless guy silent, huh? Are you mute?" he taunted again, his face now grinning broadly.

The mysterious man remained motionless, seemingly unaffected by the insults. He didn't even feel any pain in his hands.

"Hmph! Pathetic man!" Ian's clear disdain was evident, whether it was directed at Sam for ignoring his words or at the mysterious man.

"Just kill him, Sam. The government won't blame us, after all, they're just pests!" Mat urged.

Hearing this, Sam chuckled with joy. This was his hobby - to strike someone like this. He prepared to attack again.

"Run!" Jemima whispered.

The mysterious man stopped, hoping he had misheard.

"Let's just run, fool!" Jemima's faint yet firm voice was clear.

"In this situation, we should avoid it," Jemima whispered again as she scoped out the surroundings, searching for an escape route.

'What? This strange girl.' The mysterious man's internal thoughts suddenly turned annoyed.

Jemima tightly held the hand of the mysterious man, ready to pull him away, but the man let go of her hand.

"Hey, what are you thinking? Do you want to die for me?" Jemima asked, her face displaying shock.

The mysterious man nodded. "Wh-what? You crazy man! I don't want anyone to sacrifice for me!" Jemima said irritably.

"IDIOT!" she muttered.

"What's wrong with sacrificing for a strange girl like you," the man muttered after long silence. Jemima looked confused as she heard this.

Meanwhile, Sam, unable to contain his impatience, once again swung his sharp weapon. This time, Jemima advanced, and the weapon cut into her arm.

The mysterious man was so surprised that he didn't even realize he kept Jemima shielded in his arms. Jemima glanced briefly at him, and their eyes met. Jemima looked pleased as she remained in the mysterious man's embrace.

"What are you doing, Sam? I wanted you to stab that tramp! Not my woman!" Ian bellowed.

"Mi-mi-mi-mistake, Ian. Didn't mean it," Sam replied, defending himself very easily and pretending to stumble as if he were afraid.

Ian glared, reluctant to waste his energy dealing with Sam. He stepped closer, ready to kick or punch the mysterious man to swiftly retake Jemima. Unfortunately, the mysterious man struck Ian first, causing Ian to stagger in pain.

Sam and Mat hurried to help Ian. They both retaliated against the man they perceived as a homeless person. However, to Ian's surprise, the focus of Sam and Mat's atacks shifted to Jemima. The two men ; theagain aimed their sharp weapons at Jemima. However, the mysterious man immediately fought back, and the weapons stabbed his palm. Jemima began to feel very scared and shocked. How could she not be surprised when someone she didn't know continued to sacrifice themselves for her multiple times?

Observing the violence of the man named Sam and Mat, this time the mysterious man truly did not want to waste time. Miraculoemima continued to be the target of the two men. The mysterious homeless man quickly kicked and punched Mat alternately until their knives were thrown far away. Sam and Mat looked overwhelmed, and amidst the chaos, Mat couldn't get up as he had fallen quite hard, causing pain in his lower back. Sam, on the other hand, was approached by the mysterious man, who quickly overpowered him, pummeling Sam with punches. Mat tried to rise to help Sam by striking the back of the mysterious man's head, but the punch had no effect. Now, the mysterious man turned to Mat with a sadistic look. Mat appeared frightened, as now the man he found repugnant was targeting him.

Mat glanced around until his eyes landed on his knife, which he immediately grabbed. However, in the blink of an eye, the mysterious man quickly snatched the sharp weapon from Mat's grasp. The man backed away, preparing to throw the knife at Mat. Mat's body stiffened, and his hands were raised, but unfortunately, the mysterious man did not spare him, as the weapon flew and immediately struck Mat in the palm of his hand.

"ARGH! No! My hand...." Mat groaned while holding his hand.

Mat is now feeling afraid as he looks at the face and sharp eyes of the man he considered a tramp, especially when the man turns back towards Sam and begins to pummel Sam's face, causing Sam to bleed profusely. The man seemed to be insane as if losing his sanity, with his blows being quite brutal.

"Enough! Stop!" cried Ian with a grimace, despite Sam's worst qualities, he was still a true friend in his eyes.

"Please, Jemi, stop that crazy man. Sam might die," Ian pleaded with Jemima, who was still frozen in place.

"We will leave, we won't bother you. Please, stop that madman, he is truly unwell, Jemi!" Ian called out again.

"Stop! Don't kill him!" exclaimed Jemima as she approached and placed her hand on the shoulder of the mysterious man who had been her savior.

Will the stranger obey her orders?

Chapter 3 3

The man immediately stopped his actions after hearing Jemima's cry. He got up from Sam's body, and Ian, who was scared, stumbled back, while Mat, whose hand was injured earlier, quickly moved Sam's body, intending to leave the place, abandoning the squalid street.

After the departure of the three men, the mysterious man sat down exhausted. He looked weary, and after a while, his body fell and he lay unconscious.

"Hey, wake up. What happened?" Jemima asked, confused about what to do.

Suddenly, a few homeless people walked towards her. Jemima felt very frightened, assuming they would attack her.

"Quickly call an ambulance or a taxi, Miss."

"Yes, your helper must be seriously injured."

Jemima felt relieved as it turned out the homeless people were coming to help her. However, Jemima felt slightly annoyed. Why did none of the homeless people help her when she was attacked, except for this one person?

'Ah, what a fool!'Jemima scoffed to herself. She immediately called an ambulance, and a few minutes later, the paramedics arrived and took her and her helper away from the place.

Upon arrival at the hospital, Jemima and the man were immediately treated, but only the man received an IV and serious treatment due to the severity of his wounds.

That evening, Jemima stayed at the hospital to wait for her helper to regain consciousness. She did not want to leave her helper without expressing gratitude or repaying the favor.

The next day, the man woke up feeling confused because his shabby clothes were no longer clinging to his body. Now, he was in a strange set of sleepwear. There was a tube in his hand and several bandages covering his body, and he realized he was being treated in a hospital.

"What happened to me?" he muttered.

The man looked around, his head still hurting and his mind muddled. As he tried to get up, he felt a firm grip on his hand. He glanced to the side and saw a woman sleeping next to him, holding his hand tightly, her head resting on the edge of the bed where she was now sleeping.

The man gathered his senses and tried to remember who the girl was.

"Sa-sa-rah..." he called softly.

The girl's face slowly turned up, her eyes sparkling with joy.

"Are you awake? How do you feel now? Do you still feel pain in other parts of your body?" asked Jemima enthusiastically.

The man looked disappointed that the woman was not Sarah. He didn't want to respond and instead rested his head back on the edge of the bed.

Why him? Was my talk too formal? Jemima thought, furrowing her brow and rubbing her face which had just awakened from sleeping.

"You can go home when you're fully conscious," she mumbled.

"Do you have a place to stay?" Jemima asked.

"Where do you live? Let me take you home?" she continued.

The man looked confused as to how to respond.

"Ah! What's the point of me babbling on, you probably don't have a place to stay." Jemima muttered, rising from her seat, she looked tired, trying to relax her waist from the stiffness and aches.

"Wear these clothes, hopefully they fit," she said while handing him a black plastic bag containing a top, a furry winter jacket, jeans, and innerwear for men.

The man she spoke to seemed somewhat slow.

"Hey, put them on quickly. The hospital bills will increase if you linger like this," Jemima urged as she prepared to tidy up her clothes.

Upon hearing the word 'bills,' the man became self-aware. Even for someone he had helped, his life was not worth this hospital bill. Seeing the change in the man's face, Jemima felt sorry. She didn't intend to hurt his feelings or belittle his self-worth.

"Sorry, I didn't mean-"

"Not a big deal," cut the man while pulling out the IV needle still attached to his arm.

"Hey, that should have been done by a nurse!" exclaimed Jemima with a grimace.

"Sloppy!" she grum.

The man didn't care; he quickly changed his clothes. The outfit fit perfectly as if the woman had measured his body before buying the clothes for him.

"Are you a pervert?" The man's unexpected question surprised Jemima.

"What did you say?" she responded angrily, briefly glancing at the man, who was now shirtless. Jemima turner face away and returned to her original position.

"Where are my old clothes?" the man asked, indifferent to her unanswered question.

"Threw them away."

"Stinks!"

The man could only mumble 'O,' appearing at a loss for words. While Jemima was still wondering about the man calling himself a pervert.

"Done," the man stated.

Jemima turned around, and the man stood before her in his well-fitted new clothes. Impressed by the transformation from the shabby man of the night before to a handsome man, Jemima was captivated.

"Wait, those clothes fit perfectly. Do you think I measured you for the clothes?" Jemima asked, confirming.

The man's expression remained neutral; he pretended not to care if the girl was confused, letting her draw her own conclusions.

"Why does torturing someone always have to involve physical violence?" thought the man with a k.

"Let's go home," Jemima invited after everything was settled.

The man nodded and walked ahead.

"Hey, not that way," Jemima stopped him.

"Where to?" the man asked, confused.

"Anywhere, except if you have your own place," Jemima answered, looking at her helper.

"Just kidding. Come with me. You're free to leave when you feel better," she continued.

The man nodded and scratched his non-itchy head. Eventually, he decided that for now, he would once again act shamelessly, especially since he had no money at all. Furthermore, hungry and still felt stiff.

In contrast, Jemima felt guilty about leaving the man at the original location among the homeless. Especially after witnessing the transformation of her helper into someone quite attractive with just a simple makeover.

Unbeknownst to the man, Jemima started thinking mischievous thoughts.

"Shoo, shoo, shoo!" Jemima ushered someone away while waving her hands.

"Are you shooing me away?" the man asked.
