KIRA'S POV

" HEY YOU. OVER THERE. FAT GIRL." A blonde haired boy walked over to me. It was my second day of school in Foxville Middle School.

" Give me your food."

I noticed the boy was not one of my classmates. He looked older than other kids in my class. I assumed he was one year older than me.

I gave him my lunch.

" Eww. What is this?"

He threw my lunch box on the ground and my bread flew out of my lunch box. My heart was broken. I thought I was trying to be nice to him and gave him my lunch since he wanted my lunch.

He pushed me and I fell down on the ground and I fell on my back.

" Next time come with proper lunch. You eat weird things." I had bread with cheese and Doritos chips. What's weird about that?

He walked away and left me on the ground.

" Hey. Are you okay?"

" Leave me alone." I didn't bother check who was in front of me. I knew it was a boy but who, I didn't know and didn't care. I just wanted to be alone.

" Hey. I'm Noah." He held his hand in front of me. I lifted up my head and my eyes met his blue ones. My hand met his.

" I'm Kira." He helped me get up and he gave me his lunch.

As days went by, I started to know the boy who would usually bully Noah and I. He would made sure he would come with enough food while I bring food for the bully. His name was Lorenzo and his girlfriend Molly.

I sat down by the play ground opposite my house playing with my dolls, Lucy and Dr Michael. They were my favourite dolls and dad bought for me on my birthday.

"Aww Fat Kerry is playing with dolls." Lorenzo and Molly walked up to me and took my dolls away from me.

" Bring Lucy and Dr Michael back, please."

" You name your dolls?" Molly said while Lorenzo laughed.

"No please." I started to tear up.

" You are also a cry baby? You still a baby."

My heart broke into two peaces when I saw Lucy's head separate from her body, so does the arms and legs.

" No!" They threw them down on the green grass right in front of me.

" Grow up Fat Kerry. You are too old for playing with dolls."

They left me alone crying for my dolls. "What am I going to say to dad? How will I tell him the dolls that he bought few months ago are broken. I can't tell him that the Alpha's son broke them. That will cause problem between my dad and the Alpha." I thought to my self.

Two years later.

" Kira, let's go to my house and bing-watch The Flash this weekend"

" That's a great idea. I'll ask my dad first."

" Cool. Wait for me after school in the parking lot ."

" Cool." I walked to my last class of the day, Spanish class. Noah was on his way to his last class, Drama class. Noah loved drama classes. I knew he wanted to be an actor since one day. He knew that I wanted to be a Veterinarian.

"¡Buenos días!" ( Good morning)Ms Jackson greeted the class and the class greeted her back. Ms Jackson was the only black teacher in the school and every teacher in the school didn't like her but every learner that she taught loved her so did I. She was beautiful here in Foxville Middle School.

" Students, I wanted to tell you that Friday is my last day here in Foxville Middle School." I was broken to hear that she was leaving. My favorite teacher was leaving us, me.

For the few months in this school. Noah and I would sit and eat in peace since Lorenzo and Molly are no longer in Middle School and went to high school.

" Ms Jackson please tell us you are joking." Linkin said the class nerd. I was also a nerd but he passes with A's only in Spanish classes and I get A's in all classes except Spanish class.

" I wish I was Linkin. Guys I am tired of being mistreated in this school. Guys you know how much I love you and I will never forget you guys.

When the class was finished, I texted Noah that I am at the parking. Noah's Sister was taking us home since it was Friday. She would always takes us home on Fridays.

She was not in the parking. Fifteen minutes later she entered the parking.

" Where have you been?" I asked Lindsay.

" Sorry, Byron forgot to wake me up." Byron was Lindsay's mate. They were both in highschool and seventeen. Byron and Lindsay are like the cutest couple I have ever seen.

"I can't wait to meet my mate." I thought to myself. I haven't shifted. I had to wait for my sixteenth birthday to shift.

"I'm sorry I am late, it's Couch Thompson again." Noah climbed in the car and Lindsay dropped us to my house.

"Pappi, I'm home! " I walked in with Noah behind me. Dad walked out from the kitchen with a brown envelope in his hand.

" Kira, this is for you. I think you should open it." He handed the envelope to me. I knew that it was a response letter from a school I applied to in town months ago and I also for a scholarship. I knew going would not be a problem but the scholarship was worrying me. Yes I got A's but they could still reject me.

I opened the letter with sweaty hands before I read it, I looked at Noah who was telling me 'read it already.'

Dear Miss Kira Loraine Ortega

We would like to inform you that you have been accepted at Riverside highschool with a full year scholarship....

That's was when I stopped reading and jumped up and down with excitement and joy. I have never been so happy before in my my life.

Later that day. Noah and I had to celebrate, so we went to watch a movie by his house with his sister and Byron.

The day I move to town I am going to miss everyone here. I love each and every one of them. My dad, Noah, Lindsay and Byron. They all are my family.

Family always come first.

Kira's POV

" Kira, where are my black high heels!" She barged in my bedroom. Well That's my best friend Jessica. She can be very annoying sometimes trust me.

" Argh! Jess. Can't you see I'm studying?" I stood up from my study table, and took off my reading glasses as I faced her.

"I'm sorry, I just need my heels that I borrowed you, when you went out with your boyfriend Johnny." She said with this huge smirk on her smooth face.

" He's not my boyfriend, he's just a friend, our friend." I said as I walked to my white wooden closet and took out her black 6 inch high heels and gave them to her. To be clear on this, Johnny and I are just friends, well I knew he liked me but I didn't feel the same way, he was a nice guy and all but I'm just not into romantic relationships, yet.

"Baby, are you ready to go now!?" A familiar voice was heard from the kitchen. That's Will.

" Jess, is that Will?" She remained silent.

" How many times should I tell you to stay away from Will? Do you wanna get hurt again? Look if you get hurt again, I won't be there to comfort you like I always do. Jess you never listen, like ever."

" Kira look, I know you are trying to protect me and thank you for being there but you know how much I love Will. And I can't just leave him, I know he has done so many mistakes but please, please give him another chance, just for me."

" Jess you know my number one rule..." When i was about to finish my sentence she forced her words into my mouth. " I know, ' I don't give more than two chances.' I know but Kira please just for me then." She gave me her puppy eyes.

" Fine, but just this once." I rolled my eyes and gave her a warm hug. Her puppy eyes always work on me for some reason.

" By the way I like your outfit." She had her black spaghetti strap bodycon dress on with her black suede ankle strap lace-up chunky heels and her blonde hair was left down to her shoulders, with a natural make-up.

" Thanks, I should go. Don't wait up for me bye."

" Bye, have fun!!" I said as she went out of my room. I will never sleep without her, she is very important to me, she is my first female best I have ever had, she means the world to me.

" Our mate comes first before Jessica, kira." Claire said and I ignored her. My second best friend and a wolf too. Claire has always been there for me too. Yes I am werewolf.

Jess doesn't know that I am a werewolf, I wish I could tell her. Humans are not supposed to know about werewolves, vampires, witches and other creatures out there, it's forbidden that they know, if they do, they die.

Jess and I have always been best friends since I have started living with her family, since I got a scholarship at Ravenhill high school. My dad and her dad are some how friends, I don't know how but they are.

" Claire do you think we should go to dad for summer?"

" Yes please I miss him plus we could also meet our mate." She said with excitement. I could tell how happy she was.

"All you have been thinking about is mate, I don't think I am ready to meet Claire, not now."

" You will still meet him anyways."

" Claire what if he rejects us? I would never live with myself being rejected, it's better we don't find mate."

" Kira, I know you have been through a lot, but just give him a chance. He won't hurt us, he won't."

" What if he thinks we are ugly and stupid like back in middle school?"

" Stop living in the past Kira, stop hurting yourself like that, he will never reject us." I closed the connection between Claire and I.

In middle, I used to be bullied by two older Kids back in Foxville middle school. I was fat, short and ugly back then no one would want to be friends with me but only one person that I will never forget Noah, he was the only nice person and friend I have ever had before Jess.

The worst part of them all was that, one of the bullies was the Alpha's son, Lorenzo White and his girlfriend, Molly Martin. They are probably mates now. They were the meanest people to Noah and i. Noah is my old best friend or at least was my best friend from Foxville, well I lost contact with him for years now.

Noah is a Celebrity I mean an Actor. He travels the world. I have sent some few emails, massages but still he hasn't responded to any of them.

" Let's call Pablo" she said while jumping up and down with excitement at the back of my head.

" Stop calling my dad Pablo, that's rude." I giggled. I picked up my phone from my bed.

" Pappi!!!!" I screamed with excitement, while he does the same.

" Mi pequeña niña!!"

" How are you doing, I miss you Pappi"

" I am so happy that you called, I was hoping you could come visit me this summer please niña, and there is a Moonlight pack ceremony coming soon, you need to be here.

" Argh, Lorenzo and Molly have started their mating process already?"

" No, Alpha Landon retired from his Alpha chair and he is old Kira. Please come back home soon. And I have a surprise for you."

" Please tell me." He refused to tell me. Instead he told me about the drama that was happening in Foxville so I laid on my bed to hear all the stories.

" Kira, I told you not to wait for me." Jess walked inside the living room while I was still studying for my chemistry exam.

" I had to Jess, to make sure you came back safe." I stood up from the couch and walked up to her and hugged her. " How was it?"

" It's eleven twenty-five pm, Kira and you want me to tell you what happened?"

" Yes, please. Plus I could use a break from studying." She walked with me back to the couch, and sighed out.

When she was about to talk, we heard a knock on the door. And we stared at each other.

" Are you expecting anyone?"

" No you?"

"No" Jess stood up to get the door. She frooze after she opened the door.

" Hello, I am looking for Kira Ortega." I heard a man's voice by the door step and I rushed to see who it was.

" Yeah, I am Kira. How can I help....." I paused to see this handsome witch, wait witch. He has a witch scent, he's a witch, tall, with black short curly hair and black beautiful eyes.

" I am Keith West, I believe we are related."

" I am Keith West. I believe we are related." The moment he said West, my heart stopped for a moment and I was starting to feel dizzy then darkness covered my eyes.

I woke up with a heavy head. Everything was just blurry." Ah!" I cried out.

" She's awake, bring some water from the kitchen on you left side."

"Jess, what happened?" My sight was then clear. I finally saw where I was, in my mustard and grey room, on my queen size mattress.

" You collapsed Kay, and you scared us." Us? . A familiar face came through the door of my bedroom and gave me a glass of fresh water. Keith.

" Uhm. I am so sorry, I shouldn't have came here, I don't know what I was...."

" No it's ok, I was just..."

" I will leave you guys to talk." Jess said and left the room.

A few minutes after Jess left the room. We were left in silence not knowing what to say to each other. I just can not believe that I have a brother, i mean it's good to know that I have one now.

" Uhm, How did you find me ?" I had to break the silence, it was getting awkward.

" Uhm, well," he smiled." I found this book about you, in Kelly's, our mother's secret box." He took out a brown A5 leathered note book, looked old too and he gave it to me.

Honestly, I have always hated Kelly so much, she left my and i all alone with no letter explaining why she left and she never came to check on me, to see if I was okay or how I was holding up. She never came on my birthdays, even when I had my first menstruation. Dad helped me with my periods while she wasn't there. I really hoped that she would come back.

In the book there were a lot of things about me, I mean my pictures, information about where I went to school, the color of my hair, colour of my eyes, every picture that since I was born until when I was 9 years.

" I researched you, hoping that I would find you and I am so glad that I have found you." He moved closer to me as I closed the book, and gave it back to him." Kelly never told us about you, I wished she had told us."

" Us?"

" Yeah, my dad and I. "

" Where is she?"

" I heard that she died but and they found her body ." It hit me so hard. I felt a tear run down my right cheek. I will never see her, ever.

" I.. I'm so sorry, I had no idea." I stuttered as he smiled and wiped my tear.

" It's oky, it has been a year since she died." We stayed in silence again for a few minutes.

" How was she?"

" Oh, she was very beautiful, smart, funny, she was a very good mother. You sort of remind me of her, she looked exactly like you. Even your voice is similar to her's." I smiled. " She went for a while then came back. She would go for a long time and come back."

" You lucky you got to know her. I never got time to know her."

" I'm sorry, I'm sure she had her reasons."

" Yeah. At least you found me, that way I can know her through you." We both giggled.

" Yeah, I guess so."

Most of the night Keith and I were talking because I begged him not to leave, plus it was too late for him to leave because it's not safe in this city.

I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. I walked myself to the bathroom, from the bathroom to the Kitchen. I found Jess and Keith laughing together making breakfast.

" You wouldn't say that." Jess said as they both continued to laugh.

" Yes I did, and I had to" he smiled when he faced me, so did Jess.

" Hey sleepyhead. You woke up early today." She said.

" Of course I woke up to this amazing smell in here. " Werewolfs or regular wolfs smell things from a mile away while humans do not.

I tried to reach out to the bacon, but Jess slapped my hand." Ouch" I flinched to her slap on my skin.

" We are not done, so you are going to have to wait a minute for us we finish here."

" We decided to make breakfast to celebrate you finishing your last exam before summer, and i found you living in this nice apartment with your best friend, so sweet." Keith said.

Jess and I were renting an apartment. We didn't want to live on campus. Jess's dad helped us find this apartment while Jess and I were going to work. After writing my final exam I was going to go to work.

" That's so sweet of you Keith. Kira wouldn't do such thing." I stared at her like a hawk.

" Are you trying to insult me in a way?" She laughed while i moved towards her slowing, and she moved slowly backwards while laughing.

Jess and I aways play like this. Once they were done with making breakfast and cleaning up their mess. We started to eat breakfast while Keith told us about his childhood.

It was 2:30 pm. after I wrote my exam, I went straight to work and found Jess doing her last shift. When she's at work, she is so serious. My shifts ends at 9pm so I was closing the restaurant today. I had already told my boss that I will be going out of town for summer and she was okay with it.

" Afternoon gentlemen, what can I get you today" a young handsome man, wearing a black tuxedo, with blondish- brown hair and blue eyes before me and his friend turned to me.

" I would like to have your number, that's if it's on your menu." The second guy said.

I chuckled before I answered him." Sorry sir it's not on the menu."

" Don't mind him, ms...."

" Kira, you can call me Kira."

" I'm Nathan, we would like to have some of your special for today."

" Coming right up" I walked away from them to submit their orders. And later I came back to give them their orders.

" Thank you Kira, by the way you have a beautiful name." Nathan said and I smiled.

" Thanks." I walked away.

I got home, and started packing. " Kira, are you okay?" Claire asked.

" It's just that i am nervous about that exam. I think I failed it. I hope I did not failed."

"Kira you the smartest person I know, I can not believe you saying that."

" But I am right, it felt like it I was getting rapped by the paper. I hope I passed it."

"You did good, stay positive at all times please Kira."

"Fine I'll try to stay positive. I promise." I reassured her.

Once I was done packing, I heard Jess talking to someone in the kitchen."I wonder who is it." I wondered to myself and walked out of the room to them. I turned around immediately when I saw Will and Jess together in the living room but he stopped me.

" Kira, hey. Come sit down with us ." I couldn't say no to Will because I promised Jess that I'll be nice to him.

I suddenly got a call from Keith. He said that he was on his way to pick me up . So I went back into my room and got my stuff while I wait for him to arrive.

" Will, I don't want to hear that you hurt her while I'm away, if I do, I will cut those things between your legs trust me." I said after I walked to the door with my bags.

Twenty minutes later, Keith arrived. I made sure I was ready for him. He was in his black jeans and black t-shirt. He always wears black and it suits him really well.

Few minutes later Keith came in and greeted everyone and then helped carry the bags into his Black Mercedes Benz. We then hit the road. I could not wait to see my dad, so was Claire.
