Chapter 1 ★𝑅𝑒𝓊𝓃𝒾𝑜𝓃★

"Elizabeth, Eleanor, Queen! Get your lazy ass off that bed right now or you'll be late for school!" Mrs. Rosita Queen yelled from the stairway, and Eleanor jolted awake immediately. She turned towards the side clock and widened her eyes when she saw it was already past seven.

"Thanks mum!" She yelled as she jumped off the bed and dashed into the bathroom like a maniac.

She couldn't be late on her first day in college, especially since she's been dreaming of this day for months after getting admitted on a merit scholarship to Ousen College of Art (OCA), a prestigious and highly selective college for talented young minds.

Going to Ousen has always been Eleanor's dream, but unfortunately, her family's finances couldn't make that dream come true. Besides her impressive acting skills, Eleanor also has the voice of an angel, or at least that's what everyone tells her, and she knew Ousen was the perfect school for her to better her talent and shine like the star she was born to be. Besides all that, there was one more reason why she wanted to go to Ousen so bad, and that reason was just a few minutes drive away.

Eleanor quickly changed into her new pair of chinos pants and red-print shirt, which she had bought from her savings, specifically for this day.

"We did it, dad! We're finally going to Ousen!" Eleanor beamed as she stared at the framed portrait of her father. She kissed the photo before rushing out of her room and straight to the living room to find her mother already waiting for her.

"You're not going to have breakfast?" Rosita asked with a raised brow.

"I'll get something later in school, mum. Can we go now?!" Eleanor replied with a pout, and Rosita let out a slight chuckle.

"You shouldn't be skipping breakfast, Lizzy. You know we can't afford to spend double on food."

"I know, mum; you don't need to tell me twice. Just let me off this once since it's my first day."

Rosita grabbed her keys on the table. "Alright, just this once." She said with a smile, and the duo left the house.

The drive to Ousen was rather quiet prior to Rosita's expectations, and she worried that Eleanor was having second thoughts.

"Are you alright, sweetheart?" Rosita asked, worry evident in her tone.

"Yes, mum, I'm fine. I was just thinking of how it would feel if Dad were here with us. He always wanted the best for me, and a part of me wishes he could see this day." Eleanor responded in a somewhat sad tone.

"I'm sure your father is super proud of you, sweetheart. Now you just worry about your well-being and your grades too." Rosita gave her daughter a reassuring smile, and Eleanor bobbed her head in response, her smile had once more returned to her face. "Oh and I heard Gavin goes to Ousen as well!" Rosita exclaimed and Eleanor took in her bottom lip as she turned towards the side window. She could feel her cheeks burning and didn't want Rosita to notice this.

"Yes, he does." She replied casually but her heartbeat did the opposite. It accelerated the moment Rosita mentioned Gavin and now she couldn't stop thinking about him. Eleanor still couldn't believe that she would finally be reunited with Gavin again after five long years. He was her childhood sweetheart but Gavin never knew that because she was too much of a coward to confess to him. She believed she would finally get the guts to do so in college and that was why she had chosen Ousen College.

"Great! You should find him the soonest you get settled in, I'm sure he'd be delighted to see you again and he could also show you around." Rosita suggested as she knew Eleanor would need a friend in such a massive environment.

Eleanor wasn't quite famous when it came to making friends, so far she's only had one friend throughout her childhood and he is none other than Gavin O'Connor. The O'Connors and Queens have been close family friends way before the birth of Eleanor and Gavin, which also brought about the friendship between them, but the two got separated in middle school and ever since, Eleanor has been dreaming of their reunion.

'You don't need to tell me twice.' Eleanor said within as that was actually the first on her list of things to do once she got into Ousen. She would find Gavin and the rest can follow.

After what seemed like a thirty minutes drive, Rosita finally pulled up at the gates of Ousen College. Sadly, they couldn't afford to pay for lodge so Eleanor would have to come from home everyday which wasn't a problem since she loves taking rides with her mum.

"Alright sweetheart, have a lovely day and try to socialize a bit. You're no longer in high school." Rosita said with a wink that got Eleanor laughing.

"I'll try. Love you mum." Eleanor waved at her mum before walking through the gates. Her jaw dropped the moment she entered Ousen. The buildings were much bigger than advertised, and everything screamed wealth! She could see students pulling over in their expensive vehicles and dashing outfits, and for the first time in forever, Eleanor felt out of place even with her newly bought outfit.

"Judging from your facial expression, I'd say you're new here." Eleanor turned her head towards the direction of the unfamiliar feminine voice, and her pupils dilated in awe at the beauty before her.

Her eyes scrutinized the lady before her who was dressed in a simple but yet elegant, and understated outfit which showcased a refined and polished sense of style, with her dark silky hair packed in two buns. Despite her polished appearance, she exuded an approachable warmth that drew others in, her relaxed posture and friendly smile making her seem like someone everyone wanted to get to know.

"Yes, I am." Eleanor finally found her tongue after what seemed like an eternity.

"Oh I see. I'm Beatrice, you can call me Trice." Beatrice said with a warm and welcoming smile that created an atmosphere of comfort and familiarity in the bustling college driveway.

"I'm Eleanor." Eleanor responded with a slight smile.

"Come on, I'll show you around!" Beatrice beamed and began pulling Eleanor along without waiting for her consent.

"Welcome to Ousen newbie, you'll love it here!"

"Thank you. Are you a senior here?" Eleanor asked but Beatrice shook her head.

"I'm actually a freshman like you but since I started earlier, I already know my way around."

"Oh I see. Thanks for going out of your way to show me around." Eleanor said with a smile.

"Don't sweat it. What's your room number? I can take you to your lodge." Beatrice asked but Eleanor shook her head.

"I don't have one, I'm home based actually."

"Oh, well if you're looking for one, I could use a roommate."

"Really? I mean is that allowed?" Eleanor asked just to be sure. It would be great if she studied on campus and since it's less than a hour drive back home, she could go home whenever she wants.

"Well it's not allowed in the general school hostel but it is for private lodges. I stay in a private lodge so you're free to join me. Come on then."

After taking a mini tour around the main buildings of Ousen, Beatrice brought Eleanor back to the lodge and just as expected, it was spacious enough to be called a home.

Eleanor loved everything about Ousen so far even though she still had a lot of places to explore but there was one thing she would love very much right now, and that would be to run into Gavin. The campus turned out bigger than expected and finding Gavin won't be so easy.

"And this would be our last stop for the day. The theatre!" Beatrice exclaimed as they stood outside the large theatre building. Eleanor beamed as she pictured what her life would be at Ousen in a couple of weeks. This was indeed a dream come true for her, if only she could find Gavin.

"Thank you so much, Trice. I will move in first thing tomorrow but first could you take me to the administrative block? I need to get registered officially."

"Of course!" And so Beatrice took Eleanor to the administrative block where she officially got registered and given her students guide book along with some other things she would need later on.

"Welcome to Ousen, Eleanor. I see you already found yourself an escort." The admin, Mr. Cole addressed her.

"Thank you, sir."

"Though I was going to assign you one, he had actually volunteered prior to your arrival but I guess there's no need for that anymore." Mr. Cole stated and Eleanor creased her brows.

Someone volunteered to be her escort? But she hardly knows anyone here except...

"Gavin?!" Eleanor blurted out before she realized it.

"Ah yes, O'Connor. It seems you two are acquainted as this is the first time he has ever volunteered to do something like this." Mr. Cole said, and Eleanor smiled brightly. She couldn't believe Gavin actually knew she was here, and had even volunteered to be her escort.

"Thank you so much, sir. I'll take my leave now." Eleanor said with a slight bow before exiting the office. She met Beatrice in the hallway talking to someone, and the moment they turned to her, Eleanor's heart stopped beating for almost three seconds. There he was, looking like a sexy god in his all black outfit, Gavin, her childhood sweetheart was right there in front of her and she couldn't even feel her legs anymore. It was as though they had developed a catatonic mind of their own.

"Babe!" Eleanor snapped out of her daze the moment she saw the hot blondie walk up to Gavin and engage him in a French kiss. Her brain did a complete 360 before she actually understood what was happening.

"What the... Babe?" she muttered in total disbelief.

Chapter 2 ★𝓝𝓮𝓶𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓼★

"This can't be real! I must be hallucinating." Eleanor muttered as she stared at the duo, who acted like they were the only ones on campus. When they finally disengaged, Gavin turned toward Eleanor with a faint smile, a smile that got her heart beating faster than before.

"You are Eleanor, aren't you?" He asked, and it felt as though salt had been poured on Eleanor's deep wound. She didn't even need anyone to tell her he's Gavin, and yet he couldn't recognize her?

"You know her?" The blonde lady asked with a curious gaze.

"Gavin, right?" Eleanor asked, even though she already knew the answer. Maybe he wasn't actually Gavin; she wished for that to be the case, as she couldn't imagine all that was happening. Did she wait five years for this? This wasn't the happy reunion she had fantasized about for five freaking long years!

"Oh, and here I thought I was your only friend." Beatrice stated this as she walked towards Eleanor and pulled her closer to Gavin. "You're new, and you're already friends with the hottest guy in Ousen? Neat!" Beatrice giggled.

"It's good to see you again, EQ." Gavin said, and Eleanor looked up at him immediately. It felt as though she would soon have a heart attack with the violent thudding of her heart, and her pupils dilated in... Well, she wasn't sure if she was in shock or just overly excited.

Gavin was the only one who called her EQ, which is short for Eleanor Queen. Maybe there was still hope for her after all.

"So you remember me?" She asked, her expression brightening up.

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't, would I?" Gavin asked instead.

"How do you two know each other, though?" The blonde lady asked again, but this time around, her expression wasn't a welcoming one.

"Hold up, let me guess!" Beatrice exclaimed before Gavin could respond. "You two dated in high school! That's it, right?"

"No!" Eleanor and Gavin responded simultaneously.

"We were just friends." Gavin added, and Eleanor's face fell.

Just friends? He made it sound as though they weren't close at all! It seems she's been way in over her head all this time. She had expected Gavin to embrace her and squeeze the life out of her, telling her how much he had missed her over the years of their separation, but it seems those were all her feelings. But then why did he volunteer to be her escort?

"Just friends?" The blonde lady asked with a raised brow.

Eleanor glanced at her before averting her gaze to Gavin.

"How did you know I'd be here?" She asked in a somewhat sad tone.

"My mum told me. She literally pleaded with me to help you get settled, so I had to." Gavin responded with a straight face.

Eleanor took in her bottom lip, feeling disappointed and heartbroken. Even though she and Gavin didn't see each other for that long, their parents still kept in touch, and that was probably how her mother knew Gavin would be in Ousen. At this point, Eleanor wanted nothing more than to return to the lodge and wrap herself in a thick blanket for comfort.

"Well then, I guess there's no need to introduce you two." Beatrice said this with a smile. "You should know that Ousen has student hierarchy, even though it's a school for prestigious families in general." She added, but the blonde lady rolled her eyes.

"Not all students come from a prestigious home, Trice. Isn't she the scholarship student?"

"Lisa, don't be rude!" Beatrice scolded, but Lisa simply scoffed before interlocking her hand with that of Gavin. "Don't listen to Lisa, Eleanor. She might seem rude, but she actually has a great personality and can be really sweet once you get to know her better." Beatrice added while giving Eleanor a reassuring smile.

Eleanor's gaze traveled down to Lisa's and Gavin's interlocked hands, and she clenched her fist. She wasn't sure how things would turn out now after this shocking scene, but she was certain of one thing: she would never get along with Lisa as long as Gavin was involved.

"It's good to see you again, EQ. Stay out of trouble, and let me know if you need anything." Gavin said with a wink, then walked away with Lisa.

"Like I said, Ousen has student hierarchy, but I doubt you'll have a problem fitting in since you're friends with an Elite." Beatrice said, and she began pulling Eleanor in the opposite direction.

"Elite?" Eleanor asked, feeling a bit perplexed.

"Gavin, he's your friend, isn't he?"

"Oh, yes, I guess, but what does that have to do with me fitting into Ousen?" Eleanor asked with a slight frown.

"Well, as you know, Ousen is a very selective school, and it's rare for them to admit... well, students from non-prestigious families. You're one of the lucky ones, Eleanor. You were not only admitted here but also given a merit scholarship." Beatrice explained, but Eleanor still didn't understand how any of it related to her being friends with Gavin.

"And what does this have to do with me fitting in or being friends with Gavin?"

"Because it'll minimize your chances of getting picked on. There are three most respected hierarchies in Ousen. Elites, founders, and new money. Elites are students with exceptional grades, talents, and families of great influence, like Gavin. Founders are students whose parents have contributed a great deal to the school's bursary, and lastly, New money are students with lottery winning parents." Beatrice explained, and Eleanor bobbed her head.

"And where do you fall in?" She asked.

"Founders! My parents are the sponsors of Ousen's yearly charity event, and though they started before my admission, I didn't need to break a sweat during my application because I knew my place here had already been secured." Beatrice beamed.

"And what about that blonde lady from earlier?" Eleanor asked even though she had already grouped her with one of the founders or even elites.

"Oh, you mean Lisa? She's an elite. I'm telling you, Lisa is more than her bitchy vibes. She's freakishly talented in many ways, not to mention the fact that her father is the co-founder of Ousen." Beatrice responded, and Eleanor lowered her head, feeling inferior.

Of course Gavin would date someone like Lisa since they were both from prestigious families, and had multiple talents. The Gavin she knew then was not only good at playing soccer, but could also draw, had excellent acting skills, and even though he tried to hide it, he was a genius in class. His grades were always high, but no one ever saw him with a textbook, not even by accident.

When they got back to Beatrice's lodge, she gave Eleanor spare clothes to change into, and she rushed out to get her something to eat. Eleanor still couldn't understand why Beatrice was being so nice to her, but she was thankful for her generosity.

After changing into Beatrice's clothes, which was a perfect fit, Eleanor searched her bag for her diary, ready to vent out her frustrations to it.

"This was supposed to be my happy moment. I should have just applied to a different college." Eleanor muttered sadly.

'Well, it's not over yet; Gavin could still be ours.' She said within.

"I don't hold a candle to Lisa. I don't even fit in with any of the three hierarchies."

'Yes, that's true, but you've known Gavin longer than any of these ladies. That's an advantage!' Eleanor beamed as she conversed with herself as though talking to a second Eleanor.

"You're right. It won't end here. I'll get my happy moment with Gavin! I just have to... what do I have to do?" She asked as she flipped through the pages of her diary for her to-do list. The first step on the list was to find Gavin, which she actually did, even though it didn't turn out as expected. She checked the box next to it. The second step on the list was to make him fall in love with her. The third was to confess her feelings to him; that would lead to the fourth! Have her first kiss with Gavin!

Eleanor's cheeks burned as she pictured herself in Gavin's arms while he slowly leans down to connect their lips. She subconsciously pouts her lips like someone expecting a kiss, shutting her eyes as well.

"What are you doing?" Eleanor's eyes widened immediately, and she turned her head to the side to see... Lisa?

"You? Why are you here?" Eleanor asked with a frown.

"I should be asking the same question." Lisa responded with a frown. She let out a heavy sigh when she finally realized something. "Great! Just perfect. When Trice told me someone else would be staying with us, I should have known that someone would be you." She added, letting out a disappointed sigh.

"Staying with us? Y-You stay here as well?" Eleanor asked, feeling perplexed. Didn't Beatrice say she needed a roommate? Why would she say that if she already had Lisa staying with her?

"Eleanor!" Beatrice suddenly rushed in with a handful of food bags. "I wasn't sure what you liked the most, so I got you a variety of..." Beatrice paused when she sensed the tensed atmosphere.

"Please tell me she's not the one you talked about." Lisa asked, even though she already knew the answer.

"I thought you said you stayed alone?" Eleanor asked with a perplexed expression.

"I never said that, Eleanor. I simply said I could use a roommate." Beatrice replied, letting out a soft chuckle after.

"But you already have one." Eleanor replied, turning to Lisa, who simply rolled her eyes.

"Lisa is barely around, and it's lonely staying here all by myself." Beatrice responded with a cute pout.

"Great, now we're taking in homeless people as well." Lisa said with a scoff.

"Excuse me! I'm not homeless, and I don't appreciate you looking down on me simply because I'm a scholarship student!" Eleanor snapped, but Lisa simply ignored her and walked away.

"Don't pay her any attention, Eleanor. She's all bark and no bites. Come on, then, let's unpack these." Beatrice said with a smile before walking into the kitchen with the food bags.

Eleanor clenched her fists. Could this day get any worse? Of all the ladies that could be Beatrice's second roommate, why did it have to be her nemesis?!

"Ousen, could you be any nicer to me?" She muttered before heading into the kitchen to assist Beatrice. If only she knew that this was just the beginning.

Chapter 3 ★𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓛𝓮𝓪𝓭 𝓡𝓸𝓵𝓮★

"It is with great joy that we welcome our newly enrolled students to Ousen College of Art. We look forward to working with great minds like yours." The students gave a round of applause after the little remark from the dean of studies. They had all gathered in the auditorium for their orientation.

Eleanor sat in the front row wearing a fluffy blue sweater and jeans, with her brunette hair cutely styled. She impatiently waited for the dean to end his speech, as she couldn't wait to get to the theater. Since she was part of the second batch of admitted students, Beatrice didn't join her as she had long done her orientation, being part of the first batch.

"There she is! I thought you'd never come out." Beatrice beamed the moment Eleanor stepped out of the auditorium. Eleanor smiled brightly, pleased that Beatrice had waited for her. Her gaze shifted to the tall figure beside Beatrice, and her jaw dropped in astonishment.

She was aware of the fact that Ousen housed good-looking guys, but she just didn't think anyone could look this mesmerizing.

"So you're Eleanor?" He asked with a smile.

"H-How do you know my name?" Eleanor stuttered, wondering what in the world was wrong with her. She shook her head immediately and snapped out of her daze.

"This crackhead here has been rambling about you all day." He responded with a frown as he turned to Beatrice, who simply rolled her eyes.

"This is my idiot brother, Bryan." Beatrice said with a frown.

"Step brother." Bryan stated it with a frown as well.

"Jeez, thanks; I feel much better now." Beatrice responded sarcastically.

Eleanor giggled at their cute siblings rivalry; she wondered if she would have also argued with her siblings this way if she had any.

"It's nice to meet you, Bryan." Eleanor said with a bright smile.

"There you are! What happened to meeting up in the studio?!" Eleanor turned in the direction of the voice and spotted two hot guys approaching them, one of whom was none other than her dream guy, Gavin! Her gaze was so glued to Gavin's mesmerizing face that she didn't even take notice of the other guy until he snapped his finger in front of her face.

"Huh?" She blinked, bringing her mind back to reality.

"Who's this jelly bean?" The hot guy with shoulder-length blonde hair, known as Jake, asked in an affront as his gaze scrutinized Eleanor's petite body.

"Can you for once not be a jerk?" Beatrice asked as she shot the him a hard glare.

"I'm Eleanor." Eleanor responded cheerfully, trying to be on her best behavior in front of Gavin. Seeing how they walked over to them together, she assumed that Jake was Gavin's friend and didn't want to get on his bad side.

"And I'm not interested." Jake said bluntly before turning his focus to Bryan.

"Come on, dude, be nice to EQ." Gavin said, shooting Jake a hard glare, which got Eleanor's heart racing. She loved the fact that Gavin was being protective of her, and it only made her feelings for him grow stronger, but she had just one problem...

"Whatever. Are we going or not?" Jake asked nonchalantly.

"Yeah, sure. See you later, EQ." Gavin said with a smile, and Eleanor could swear her heart stopped beating. Indeed, she was head over heels for Gavin O'Connor!

"See you later, Eleanor." Bryan waved before walking away with the duo.

"I'm sorry about that, Eleanor. That jerk face is Jake Lionel. He's also one of the Elites, but for real, I don't get why those three are friends." Beatrice stated this with a frown.

"What do you mean?" Eleanor asked.

"They literally have nothing in common. Jake is a typical f**k boy. He'd date anything in skirts for real, and my idiot brother would rather drown himself in his music than hang out with a girl. And as for Gavin..." Eleanor held her breath in anticipation of what Beatrice would say about Gavin.

"And as for Gavin?" She asked impatiently.

"Well, he's taken." Beatrice responded with a shrug, and Eleanor's face fell.

"Thanks for reminding me." She muttered.

Beatrice creased her brows.

"Wait. Don't tell me you're interested in him?!" She exclaimed, but Eleanor simply rolled her eyes and began walking away.

"Don't walk away from me, young lady! Tell me everything! I want to know how it all started, when it all started, if he knew about it, if he rejected you-"

"Rejected me?!" Eleanor cut her off immediately.

"Well, I hate to break it to you, honey, but you don't seem like his type." Beatrice said while clicking her tongue.

"Jee thanks; that made me feel better." Eleanor rolled her eyes.

"No don't get me wrong, you're beautiful and all but compared to Lisa, you don't stand a chance." Beatrice said, letting out a soft giggle but her smiles vanished the moment she saw Eleanor's face. If eyes could kill, Beatrice would already be six feet under.

"Can we stop talking about Gavin now?" Eleanor asked, feeling a bit hurt.

Beatrice sighed, but her face lit up almost immediately.

"Hey, what are you doing tonight? Clear your schedule!"

"Not that I have anything else planned, but why?" Eleanor asked with furrowed brows.

"There's a freshman party holding tonight at Jake's!" Beatrice exclaimed.

"Jake? The same Jake you had condemned a few minutes ago?"

"He's an @ss, yes, but he knows how to host a good party." Beatrice replied with a shrug.

"I'm not interested." Eleanor said with a sigh. They had reached the theater building by this time.

"Really? Gavin's going to be there too-"

"What time is the party?!" Eleanor asked immediately, but Beatrice simply laughed at her.

"Gosh, Eleanor, does your world revolve around Gavin or what? I mean, there are lots of hot guys in Ousen; why Gavin?" Beatrice asked, but before Eleanor could respond, Lisa walked up to them.

"You brought her here too?" She asked with a frown the moment she saw Eleanor.

"Jeez, Lisa, good morning to you too." Beatrice rolled her eyes.

"I hope you're not planning on auditioning for the play. Give up now, merit girl; it's not worth your time." Lisa said sarcastically before walking into the theater.

"What in the world is her problem?" Eleanor asked with a frown.

"Don't ask me. Sometimes I wonder why we're friends." Beatrice responded with a sigh.

"What audition was she talking about?" Eleanor asked curiously.

"Oh, it's just for the upcoming revised Romeo and Juliet play for Ousen's yearly charity event." Beatrice replied casually as they walked into the building.

"A play?!" Eleanor beamed.

"Yeah, the charity event involves different activities such as drama, choreography performances, art exhibitions, and so on." Beatrice responded.

"So anyone can audition?"

"Yeah but Lisa always gets the lead role. A lot of girls have tried in the past few months I've been here but she always surpasses all. She played the female lead role in all our previous dramas." Beatrice explained.

They were inside the theater building now, and Eleanor's jaw dropped at the size of the interiors of it. She could see different students practicing for their auditions, and her face lit up in excitement. This was her number-one dream achievement as an Ousen student! She couldn't believe she would finally get a chance to perform before a large audience rather than her one fan squad, which was none other than her mother.

"This is indeed a dream come true!" She exclaimed as her eyes scrutinized the corners of the theater. She turned to Beatrice, her eyes glittering in excitement. "Are you auditioning as well?"

"Oh no, sweetheart. I'm in charge of the costumes." Beatrice replied with a proud smirk.

"Oh, I see. That explains your unique dressing styles. You're like a makeup artist, right?" Eleanor asked, but Beatrice shook her head.

"I'm more than that, Eleanor. I'm art itself!" Beatrice exclaimed as she raised her hands in the air to flaunt her perfection.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, now get your artsy ass backstage and start working on those costumes!" They suddenly heard an angry male voice from behind, and Beatrice brought her hands down immediately.

"Mr. Styles! I didn't expect you to be here early!" She exclaimed, and Eleanor noticed the tension in her voice.

"You brought a friend?" Mr. Styles asked, turning to Eleanor.

"My name is Eleanor Queen; I'm actually a new student-"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, what do you do? Sing? Act? Dance?" Mr. Styles asked, cutting her off.

"Actually, all of the above." Eleanor responded with a bright smile.

Mr. Styles face lit up a bit before turning cold. "Alright, new kid, show me what you've got." He said, and Eleanor widened her eyes in shock.

"Ri-Right now?" she stuttered.

"No when I'm dead! Of course, right now!" Mr. Styles snapped, and Eleanor turned to Beatrice for help.

"Just do anything-sing or dance anything!" Beatrice said with an encouraging smile.

"I... Ummm... Just keep on dreaming; one day you'll see..." Eleanor began singing, and everyone in the theater stopped to check where the angelic voice was coming from. They all stared at Eleanor in awe as she sang the lyrics to one of her favorite songs.

When she was done, a round applause vibrated through the four corners of the theater, shocking Eleanor.

'Are they really clapping... for me?' She asked within as her face brighten up, and eyes glittered in excitement.

"Alright, alright, that's enough!" Mr. Styles yelled, and everyone refocused their attention on what they were initially doing.

"Eleanor, that was amazing! Your voice is just-"

"Miss Heather, are you not going to get to work, or do I need to replace you?" Mr. Styles cut Beatrice off, and her eyes widened in shock.

"Right away, Mr. Styles." She responded, and ran off immediately without looking back.

Eleanor began to tremble as she was now left alone with this terrifying old man.

"I have to admit, kid, you got talent there. Do you have any acting experience?"

"I did solo acting at home-"

"Not good enough." Mr. Styles cut her off, and she lowered her gaze immediately. "You know what? Take the lead role in this year's drama and show me what you got." He added and walked away before Eleanor could process what he had just said.

"Wait... What?!" She exclaimed, gaining the attention of some students in the theater. "I-I got the lead role? I got the lead role!" She shouted in excitement, and they began clapping for her again.

"I always knew you had it in you, EQ." Eleanor suddenly turned around in shock.

"G-Gavin? What are you doing here?" She blurted out, but Gavin simply ruffled her hair. If only he knew what that single act of his did to Eleanor's entire body.

'Did Gavin just... touch my hair?' Her mind was in such total chaos that she forgot what she initially wanted to ask.

"See you on stage, Eleanor." Gavin added and made her walk away when Eleanor finally got back to her senses.

"Wait! You're acting too." She asked curiously.

"I'm your Romeo." He simply replied with a wink before walking away.

Eleanor stood in shock, her gaze glued to Gavin's retreating back. She not only got the lead role but would also be playing Juliet, and Gavin as her Romeo! Could this day get any better for her?!

She suddenly averted her gaze and grasped in shock at the blonde-haired hottie whose eyes were blood shot and glared daggers at her.

Lisa was pissed!

This could only mean one thing: trouble!
