Allow me to tell you a little bit of this story...
Mekra, the lone wolf, was never alone. He had the Trinity: his dad and his two sisters. He never knew that he wasn't supposed to be the lone wolf because he was bound to the Trinity curse that in the end, he'd find his true Luna bound by the moon.
Besides being a gorgeous man in his human form who bled pheromones to attract any female companion close by, he didn't know that his true Luna was there all along since the first phase of the Trinity curse.
It was Adrienne who was an Empath, bound to fall in love with her true mate, Mekra, and finally discovered she had werewolf blood in her veins. This explained the strong magnet relationship between them.
How would Mekra get through the Trinity curse? And how would Adrienne release herself from the ancient spell to be with Mekra forever?
Read along as the mysteries will unveil themselves...
-Running-
The only thing that I like and remember since I was a kid was running. I usually kept on running until I couldn't feel my legs. Or when I fell to the ground exhausted, unconscious, then woke up the next morning with my naked human body.
Sometimes the coof air breeze of the Green Valley woke me up in the morning. I usually crawled in the darkest night with only the blue moon as its light. The moon always looked too close to my head. The bright light made me dizzy and kept on forcing me to stop running with my four strong furry legs. My strong werewolf legs.
So tonight, I kept on running. I wasn't running from reality, but I was running because that was what I did. That was what I did. I ran as a werewolf.
[No, you ARE running from reality.]
I know I'm a werewolf but how come I have a lizard brain like a serial killer has his alarm at the back of his head each time he makes a mistake or when the danger is approaching?
I guess I am. I was running from reality. I still remember what Neal, my dad said to me,
"You are a werewolf! How do you expect to be running by yourself? You're supposed to be in a pack! With the other young men from our village. Are you a werewolf, or not?" my dad shouted at me.
And as usual, I left and ran. My dad called me, Mekra the lone wolf. I was born a werewolf but I never feel like one. I always feel... trapped.
Sometimes I dreamt of my very best friend that I had never met before, saying:
Birds of a feather flock together.
And I kept on answering in my dream with," What if the bird is in a cage, how come they can fly together?"
And I'm not a bird anyway, I'm a wolf, and a cage doesn't suit me. Though the cage is my pack. Then my very best friend in my dream would say, "I know, coz your heart is free."
Then I usually woke up after that last line.
I kept on wondering who my very best friend might be. Sometimes I could see a gleam of silver neck-length silky hair. It looked like it was a she, but she had a strong line on her face that told she was weighed with wisdom and maturity. No, she didn't look old, even though she looked like she was as old as I am. She just... looked mature.
It had been said that each werewolf had his or her true mate. Once they fell in love, then the mate would be with the werewolf forever. I wonder if my mate would be from the Nasriantra clan here in the Green Valley, or another place.
I wish she was from another place, if she's from around here, would that be so boring? If that happens, I could never go out of this valley. I can never fly. Well, then. I'm not a bird, I'm a werewolf anyway. In the pack is where I belong.
There was a crisp sound from the bush behind my back. I rushed to face it and was warned. My ears and my tail were tense waiting for what had approached. I was ready with my claws and my sharp teeth. Then there was...
[What? Why are you so tense like that? It's just me!]
My little sister, Crystal appeared and spoke through her mind. We communicated through our minds when we were in werewolf shape.
If I had my human palm at that time, I'd squeeze her thick red hair head for scaring me like that.
[Why are you following me?]
I asked her in my mind.
[Dad called for you, there's something he wanted to talk about, only to you.]
She replied.
[What now?!]
That was the sound of my lizard brain, not the sentence I muttered in my mind for Crystal.
I sometimes don't get why it's wrong to be a lone wolf. Why should I always travel in a pack? What if the pack just doesn't suit me? What if their ways of life are something that I don't like? Should I be someone that I'm not?
I ran back to the head of the clan's house with Crystal beside me. The biggest house with many rooms for meetings is in this Green Valley. There stood a charming man with a built body, broad shoulders and strong muscles reflected his glory. Neal Nasriantra, my dad, the head of the clan and the alpha. He suddenly stood from his comfy big leather chair when I entered the main room.
He smiled gloriously when he saw me.
"Yes, dad?" I opened the talk.
"Mekra, my only son," he replied. And yes, there was only Cakra, my big sister, Crystal my little sister, and I, his only son. Our mother had long passed away when she gave birth to Crystal. Crystal was the only werewolf with magic. That explained why my mother had to pass away. Giving birth to a werewolf was already excruciatingly painful. Giving birth to a magical werewolf like Crystal was even more dangerous that took the whole magic handlers in the village to help our mother. Still... she couldn't be saved.
"I think it's time for you to go to the Main Land..." he continued calmly.
What???

-Mekra-
Dad was asking me to go to the Main Land. I was surprised.
My lizard brain got surprised as well.
"What do you mean, dad?" I tried to hide my curiosity. You know that too much curiosity can kill you, I don't want to die yet, I haven't met my true mate.
"I need you to find the way to break the curse..." he answered.
"Come again? Which curse?" I was puzzled by his request.
"The curse of alpha leader will die and be replaced by the son..." he lowered his voice and I could see there was a sad tone in his voice.
"Oh... that one." There wasn't much to say about that particular curse. But surely it had been there since thousands of generations of Nasriantra werewolves. It's a curse passed down from the ancient ones up to my dad for now. Neal's dad died and Neal had to be the head of the clan without knowing how to run the clan.
Neal was devastated, it was in only one night he had to be able to be the leader of the Nasriantra clan. He was 20, so young to be able to manage the clan and the only thing he was good at was conquering other werewolves in many duels. Thus, the Green Valley werewolves admitted him as the alpha of the Nasriantra clan.
That case for me didn't happen that way. Or at least not yet. I couldn't even beat Jacob the second in command's son. Our beta at the moment. That hot big brown werewolf was so fierce that I couldn't stand a chance to beat him. The only thing I'm good at is my speed of running. He ran after me and I kept on running until he was exhausted and he couldn't reach me. I was howling under the big blue moon and the clan thought I won.
I had to explain to them that no one was winning that night. Neither Jacob nor I. I had to make a story that Jacob lost track of and he couldn't find me, which was impossible. It's always impossible for a werewolf to lose track of his friends or prey, especially vampires. Jacob frowned and had to agree because he was not the kind of werewolf who liked to be in trouble.
He thought that disagreeing with the head of the clan's son would put him into trouble. He was wrong, and we were good friends since then because he got closer to me. Being my friend was inevitable for him. The only brother I had in the clan.
I read many stories in the library about this curse. It had been in the Nasriantra clan for thousands of generations. I just didn't think my dad would ever bring it up to be solved.
Here I thought my life would always be boring, but I think it's going to be exciting.
"What makes you think there's a spell breaker for the curse?" I asked Neal how the plan would work.
"There's a campus in Main Land that has an all-know library..." he stopped because I interrupted him,
"Never heard and read about that before, but what's so special about this campus?"
Neal didn't continue, he just sighed and stared at me.
"Sorry..., please continue, your highness..." I tried to calm his nerve by calling him by his title.
"It's not the campus, Mekra. It's the library," dad looked so serious.
"Are you saying I have to be a student of this campus and find out about how to break our curse in that library?" I guessed randomly.
"Attaboy! That's my son!" he finally looked cheerful.
Again, here I thought my life would always be boring, but I think it's going to be exciting.
"What makes you think this all-know library has the answer?" I critically attacked him with my in-depth question.
"Because it's famous for having any kind of answers. Passed down to generations since the creation of the universe." dad sounded excited.
"If it's so famous, how come I had never heard about it before?" my logical thinking spoke out loud.
"Because you never run with your pack, and you're always running alone the lone wolf!" dad replied and looked upset.
"So do you think I'll replace you by being an alpha one day? I don't think that way... I can't even beat Jacob. His dad is just a second in command. Our beta at the moment. What blood runs through my veins? Am I your son or not... Am I an alpha, dad?! Coz I don't feel like one..." I sounded even more upset than him.
"You ARE an alpha! My blood runs through your veins! I'm an alpha, it's just obvious you'll be an alpha. That's how the Nasriantra clan works for thousands of generations!" Neal's voice pierced loudly in the main hall. He looked so fierce. Typical of a strong werewolf with strong will and wisdom.
"Please, Mekra. I need you to find the way to break the curse." now he pleaded with a low voice, almost like begging.
"I just wanna be with you, Crystal, and Cakra longer," now Neal was just being a dad. A dad that I always adore.
"Well if you said so, I'll go to the Main Land." I finally answered.
He smiled from ear to ear and looked ecstatic.
"And I'll mingle with the humans?" I asked for his confirmation.
He nodded still with his smile, now with his big puppy dog eyes.
"That wouldn't be a problem, right? You've always wanted to fly solo...," now he grinned mischievously.
"That's not a problem, the problem is... how am I going to find a place to run when the full moon comes?" I asked a question that seemed absurd. But that's just who I am. Absurd.
Dad chuckled, "You'll always find a way. The beach is always a nice place to run. You can see the moon."
"One more thing... How am I going to go to the Main Land? Should I swim? Think I'm gonna die trying. I'm not a bird, I don't know how to fly..." the annoying me took place of the absurd me.

-Mekra-
I became that spoiled rich brat asking for anything from his rich dad. Assuming I was rich, which I'm not. I'm a werewolf, how can I be rich like Batman? I don't live in a cave of wonders and have a magic lamp to rub then ask a genie for some money. Oh sorry, that was Aladdin.
"You'll go to Main Land with a big flying ship with two giant sails," Dad answered flatly.
Wait, what???
I was extremely confused to the point that I knew it was dangerous to know what came next. I unconsciously opened my mouth in awe.
"There's a lot for you to know about being Nasriantra because running is the only thing that's important in your head," Dad sounded mocking.
"I thought werewolves are poor because they don't do business. We have to feed and eat a lot because we stay in the pack," I stood my ground about what I've read in the library.
Dad laughed, "If you were a werewolf in the middle age era, ya... that would apply. But this is the alpha generation era. Nasriantra clan has its way to live a life as werewolves."
"It's time to try and see. That's how you learn nowadays." Dad added and grinned widely.
"I didn't know we're that wealthy..." I was still in awe. Now I feel like Batman.
"Keeping humans safe from the vampires for thousands of generations makes you wealthy when the vampires' assets are left behind because they turned to dust, don't know where it should go. So yeah, we have money..." Dad told the story as he was telling about what menu he had for lunch.
"That's so new that I didn't know if Nasriantra's life is so exciting. I could go traveling on adventures with that money," I accidentally spoke my mind too loud.
Dad laughed and held his stomach. Maybe I was too funny.
"But then again it means that you've read and knew our history, the werewolves' history by heart." Dad was back being serious.
"I wonder why Nasriantra has this kind of way." Dad could see that I looked puzzled.
"Because we're unique and different. Though each clan is unique, but we're so distinctively different from others." dad tried to ease me from my being puzzled.
"Go! My son. Explore the world and find the true meaning of being a werewolf. I know that your heart is free. So be free and find yourself. But you need to remember that Green Valley will always be your home. I know deep down one day, you would wanna stay here forever." Dad finally said his wisdom of thoughts.
"Neal Nasriantra, you ARE my dad! You knew me better than anyone else!" I shouted excitingly.
"I'm the alpha and the head of the clan, I can do anything best for my descendants." dad continued his wisdom of words.
"Aye! Aye! Sir!" now I acted like a pirate.
"Now it's time for you to go outside to the world and find the true meaning of being Nasriantra alpha wolf." That was dad's last line before I went to the Main Land. Whoever thought it was the last line he had ever spoken to me face to face.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mekra felt happy. For all his life he didn't know so much about his dad but only for observing what his dad did. He finally felt close to him. With that best memory of his dad, he went to the Main Land.
Crystal jumped here and there from hill to hill to the highest point in the Green Valley so she could see Mekra's ship clearly among the clouds in the blue sky. She reached the highest ground in the Green Valley just to make sure that his ship flew smoothly without any obstacle.
A strong wind brushed her red hair so contrast with the bright blue sky. Crystal was the one who made sure that Mekra's ship was loaded with magic after Cakra had set the whole ship.
Neal, their dad, always hid the fact that both of Mekra's sisters had their own skill set of abilities. Cakra as the first daughter was very good with finance and technology, while Crystal was great with magic. A different kind of way for werewolves to live their lives.
Only Mekra that was left alone to be an old school werewolf because in the end, he had to pass down the history of the Nasriantra werewolves. How their ancestors lived their lives until the recent Nasriantra clan's ways of life. Neal already prepared and set Mekra for that duty, thus he made Mekra satisfied with anything he wanted to do, including running from everything. But in the end was to get back and be the best. You would never know how good you were if you were never tested and challenged yourself in the outside world.
That was how Neal prepared Mekra for that particular heavy burden.
One burden that couldn't be done by both of Mekra's sisters, Cakra and Crystal, no matter how good they were in their fields of ability.
As their dad, Neal Nasriantra always said, "This is the Nasriantra werewolves' way. We don't live in middle age anymore where we fight vampires and protect humans. Eat a lot and feed the clan, then live in some shabby huts. If it's Pizza hut then I guess I can still accept." The glorious Neal, the head of the clan sometimes cracked a joke as well. That was what made them different. The Nasriantra clan.
Crystal meticulously paid attention to her brother's ship until it was gone in the sky as a dot that she couldn't see anymore. She was actually afraid that Mekra's ship would run out of magic and bring Mekra to the ground. So, she stood there on the highest point in the Green Valley to be ready to catch Mekra, in case what she was afraid of happened. She just didn't want her dad to lose his one and only son, also his one and only brother by direct blood.
While in the Main Land...
