Flashback: -
"Clary baby."
The woman in question turned off her phone before turning to her husband.
"Yes?" she smiled up at Damon, admiring how hot the man looked in his suit.
"What were you doing there?" Damon stalked closer. Before Clary could even reply, Damon snatched her phone away from her hand. "Is someone messaging you to become there Is it any of my rivals? Is it that man from Japan who saw your face last month? Are you going to leave me? You are fucking cheating on me."
"Damon!" Clary shouted, her eyes hard and angry, "What the fuck are you saying?! I was just--"
"Why did you change your password?" Damon's face turned ice cold. "Are you hiding something from me? Are you cheating?"
"Shut up!" Clary screeched before taking a deep breath. She rubbed her forehead before replying, "I changed it to the date we found out I'm pregnant. Is that a crime?"
Damon just hummed and unlocked the phone, not even bothering to answer. What he found was the home screen of a clothing website that catered to pregnant women.
"Are you satisfied now, Damon William? Or maybe you need to go through my phone and my chat history?" When Damon proceeded to do just that, Clary huffed and got up and said, "Don't talk to me tonight."
Her husband quickly threw the phone away and hugged Clary from the back. The pregnant woman just chewed the inside of her cheek to stop herself from snapping.
"I'm sorry, love," Damon said, rubbing his cheek against the back of Clary's neck. "It's just that you're so pretty; I'm scared someone will steal you away. You know I love you too much, right?"
"You could at least trust your wife, the woman who is about to birth your child in five months!" Clary shouted, feeling her headache come back, "I'm supposed to be emotional and snappy right now, not you. I'm honestly scared of when I'll lose control and become an emotional mess."
"Why are you scared, love? Are you scared of me?" Damon kissed the soft skin of Clary's shoulders and said, "You have no reason to be scared of me."
Clary huffed and rolled her eyes. "What if I say something and that makes you jealous, huh? I will not have control over my hormones in a few months, but you have no control over your emotions right now! You might as well throw me away because I'll become too much of a burden, just like my mother and my family did."
Damon froze at Clary's words before turning his wife around. The angry woman crossed her hands over her plum chest and refused to look at Damon.
"How could you say that?" Damon slowly sank to his knees in front of Clary. "How could you say that when you own my heart, my soul, and my everything?"
Clary's breath hitched when her husband opened her shirt in the stomach area.
"How could I even think of throwing you away? And you are comparing me with your mother and your stupid family?" Damon kissed his wife's navel before dipping his tongue inside. Clary moaned and shook at the stab of pleasure. "I love you so much, baby. And now you're having my baby."
Clary watched as her husband licked all over her slightly bulging belly. The man kissed every inch of the sensitive skin. Damon then looked up at Clary.
"I will never let you go."
"And you really don't need this stupid phone; it's all because of this."
'No, it doesn't.'
Flashback Over:
Since the age of three, Clary has been alone; her mother left her, and the people she should call family abandoned her; she never experienced the meaning of family or love; she grew up in an unhealthy environment; she grew up understanding that true love or emotional attachment does not exist in this world; but then she encounters him, her future husband.
No love was involved, just a planned marriage between two strangers. Clary heard about Damon's William's even before she married; she heard how cold and crazy he is. One day, her father came home and informed her that she would be marrying Damon Williams. No matter how hard she tried to refuse, no one listened. And she knows why?
Her father basically sells her to Damon Williams for some shares.
For the past eight years that she has been married to Damon Williams, her life hasn't completely changed; no matter how hard he tried to change or help Damon's behaviors, she failed.
Damon's always kept talking about how much he loves Clary, but the only thing Clary sees is Damon being overly obsessive toward her and more controlling.
As time went by, Damon Williams' situation became even worse. Clary desired a divorce to escape her toxic and unhappy life, but whenever she mentioned it, Damon would prevent her from seeing her kids for a whole week.
Clary POV:
After eight years, I still hoped that the man I was forced to marry would change for the better, but I never anticipated that within a year of me being kind and genuinely caring for him, everything would improve. He doesn't have a good past like me, and his unhappy childhood will lead to this. Not only am I uncomfortable in this marriage, but I am also scared of me and my two kids' future.
Damon William's claims to love me: I can accept and confirm that he really used to love me, but then his love turned into obsession. I hoped everything could change one day.
I just woke up and realized that this has been a dream all along and that I should just be free again, but then this is something that will never happen. My once-free life has completely changed; everything is not the same. I would rather have chosen to be disliked by Damon, and he just let me go immediately after we got married, but then the opposite happened, and he was completely changed.
I know the deal between him and my father; according to their agreement, he will divorce me after six months, but Damon. Damon William is the devil whom no one understands.
It's not like he really cares about me; he is only controlling my life and shaping me into the kind of person he waited for me to be. I am just an object that he will manipulate and shape wherever he goes.
It is unlikely that anyone desires the relationship to be the way he wants.
End of Clary POV:
"I have prepared breakfast; wake up and shower, then come downstairs." Clary told her husband, who was still in bed. Damon lazily opened his eyes and yawned. He looked at Clary, who was standing beside the bed. Damon extended his hand to grab his wife, but Clary immediately moved back subconsciously. Damon's face darkened, his eyebrows came down together, his gaze became sharp, and his lips narrowed at the corners.
Clary swallowed hard, knowing that it was not a good idea to anger Damon early in the morning.
She took a deep breath and moved closer to the bed. Damon smiled and pulled Clary closer. Clary didn't resist, and she obediently lied down on the bed, and Damon hovered on top of her. He then caressed Clary's face, eyes, and nose down to her lips, then placed another kiss at the side of Clary's neck, his gaze possessive, making Clary really feel uncomfortable.
"You're still very beautiful; I am going to work; make sure to behave; reply to my text messages and calls on time; be sure to inform me whatever you're doing; tell me if you want to get out; I will stop everything that I am doing and come accompany you; you aren't allowed to go out alone; I am doing this because I care about you and I am protecting you." Damon said that and pecked Clary's lips, then got off the bed. Clary sighed and looked angrily at Damon, who was heading to the showroom.
What danger will she encounter? She encounters the danger of being kept in this big mansion alone every day without going out, being watched for every little movement, being forced to receive calls and answer text messages after every half an hour to report what she was doing, not being allowed to interact with anyone or meet anyone, having her phone calls and messages tracked, and being unable to do anything without her husband's permission. For years, she has had no privacy or freedom, and sometimes she wants to run away from all this. But she knows she can't.
She can't leave her children with her monster husband.
"Controlling my life is the only thing you know. I am tired of all this Damon." Clary whispered, not daring to say it out loud; otherwise, she would be in deep trouble.
She got up from the bed, wiped her lips where Damon kissed her, and left the master bedroom.
As Clary opened the door, she saw her son and daughter standing at the door. They seemed to be eavesdropping, but they immediately moved back when the door suddenly opened.
Alex, who was seven years old, and Jenny, who was five years old, rushed towards their mother, worried written all over their faces.
"Mom, are you alright? Nothing happened to you, right?" Alex asked, and Clary smiled and patted her son's head, not forgetting her daughter too.
"Mom is fine; let's go downstairs and wait for your dad to have breakfast. Remember, you have school today." Clary answered and smiled, reassuring the two that she was really fine.
She knew her kids were worried; they're already used to seeing her and Damon quarrel and their arguments escalating and ending, with some more new rules, which neither of them likes it.
"Mom, will you be taking us to school today? You have never taken us to school; I want you to meet my friends." Jenny asked excitedly, her eyes filled with high expectations. Clary picked up her daughter, then held her son by his hand and started heading downstairs. She also wants to go pick up her kids from school, attend meetings, and go support her kids when there is an event at school, just like any other parent, but it's not possible. Damon forbids her from going out without him accompanying her.
"Baby mommy will take you to school next time; today your momma has a lot to do at home; daddy will drive you to school today." Clary answered, Jenny pouted, and she wasn't happy at all.
"Every day you tell me the same thing! You always lie to me! Mommy is lying to me!" Jenny shouted in tears. Alex looked at his sister, who was about to cry, and he immediately tried to console her.
"You know what will happen if mommy goes out without permission! Do you want mommy to be sad and in trouble again? Remember what daddy did to us and mommy when you forced mommy to go out and buy chocolate ice cream when we only had strawberry ice cream in the house?" Alex shouted, and Clary stopped walking and bent down in front of her son. She let Jenny sit beside her older brother.
"I already told you, never mention whatever happened before; daddy was angry that day, and he was also worried that something bad would happen to mommy; he was only protecting us from harm. Alex, my dear, you need to be good to your sister and treat her well; don't forget what I taught you; your father will come downstairs soon; you two need to be good; remember to greet your father and smile; you both are my favorites, and that's why you need to listen to me." Clary said.
Alex pouted; he wanted to protest, but then he held his little sister's hand, and then the two hugged. Alex knew better; his dad always bullies and mistreats his mother, and he really hates his father's behavior.
Clary went to the dining room with her two kids, having everyone sit on their respective chairs. Clary waited for her husband to come, and minutes later, Damon, who was fully dressed, came downstairs.
Alex and Jenny greet him, "Good morning, dad."
Damon nodded his head and sat down. Clary smiled as usual and started serving the food while talking to clear away the awkwardness. Alex and Jenny rarely talk to their father because they are scared of him.
After breakfast, Clary took the dishes and went to the kitchen after kissing her son and daughter goodbye.
"Kids wait for me in the car." Damon told Alex and Jenny, who nodded their heads and walked out of the house. Damon made his way to the kitchen and hugged his beautiful wife.
"I am going to work; you behave and wait for me to come back; I love you so much that I am ready to do anything for you; no one will ever love you the way I do." Damon said, turned Clary to face him, kissed her lips for a while, and then left the kitchen.
Clary looked at the car drive away from the kitchen window. She slowly closed the window curtain and sighed. Will she truly be imprisoned forever?
Clary was bored staying alone in the big house, checking the time. Since she couldn't go out, she headed to the house gym and decided to exercise. She gave birth to two kids, and her body isn't as fit as before. But she needs to remain fit; her fitness is the only thing she can control.
Damon, on the other hand, was in his office and kept checking the CCTV cameras in the house. He saw his wife busy exercising. Damon smiled and caressed Clary on the screen, which was zoomed closer.
"Without you, I don't know if I could be who I am today. Thanks to you, I know how good love is, and that's why, in return, I will protect you and won't share you with anyone else." Damon said it with a creepy smile.
Just remembering his past makes him feel better for his present, having an obedient partner who never misbehaves, unlike those disrespectful girls who know nothing but walk around anyhow without any supervision or someone protecting them, doing things that make Damon feel disgusting.
His Clary is different, unlike others; he married a perfect partner, even though she sometimes tries to misbehave, but he always makes sure that he brings her on the right track, and then she follows his instructions.
"Sir."
Damon looks up and see who dare to disturb him only to find it was none other than Ray, his most trusted man and his only friend.
"Ray, you know how much I hate it when anyone disturb me?" Damon said with a sharp crazy.
"My apologies sir but as you said Madam stepsister is back in town and your father-in-law facing some financial problems. He will surely invite you today's party. As much as I know his wife as his daughter, they will exactly do what you plan."
Damon smirk and then start laughing like a crazy. Finally, he can exclude his plan. It's takes him years to plan each and every step and now it's time.
Finally...
Inside the mansion, Clary had already finished all her work and then took a long shower and decided to go to sleep, then woke up later in the evening to prepare dinner. Clary had actually a degree in business management, but she wasn't lucky to be allowed to work, but that didn't stop her. Even though she had no choice but to do as her husband said, she is still a strong woman.
She secretly started her own small online business without Damon's knowledge. She secretly bought a phone after she went out with Damon to buy groceries. She made sure to hide the new phone well in a place where Damon would never think of checking.
Even if there are cameras all over the mansion, the master bedroom is still her safe place. According to Damon, Clary will not do anything bad or break any rule inside their bedroom.
So, Clary used her little privacy; she has to start and change her life at some point. She can't just act obedient all her life; she needs to do something useful in her life; she didn't study for nothing, and she will not let her knowledge go to waste.
Damon knows the time Clary takes a nap during the day, and he never disturb her. He is not that bad, you know?
Damon was about to finish his work when he received a text message from Clary's father, requesting that the two of them, with the kids, invite for a dinner. And Damon don't know how to control himself, after this dinner everything will go according to his plan. Those two stupid women will surely do what he wants and at the end of his game, Damon will tell his really innocent wife something which surely break her. But Damon will surely support her like a good husband he is.
Clary was actually upset and stopped talking to her father after he forced her to marry Damon. Clary blames her father for everything that happening in her life now.
Only if he didn't force her to marry Damon Williams, then right now she could be living a successful life, but just because her father was greedy about becoming rich and using her to give her little stepsister a good and comfortable life.
Clary really hates her father and his ways to earn money, using her for his own benefit. Her father heartlessly sold her to Damon after getting manipulated by his second wife. If they desperately want to be rich, why they could marry her stepsister off to Damon since she is only two years younger than Clary?
After everything, her father didn't have the courage to call her and invite her back to the house for a family reunion. He knows Clary will immediately refuse and even curse him.
"Will she be coming today? I hope you called her husband; if you call her, she will definitely not come home. People are still talking, saying we abandoned her, and we never cared about her." Monika, Clary's stepmother, asked her husband.
"Yes, I did. Damon said he would talk to Clary, and they would try to come together with the kids." Clary dad, Mr. Jones answered, which made Monika smirk. It has been over eight years since she meets Clary, and rumors have been circulating that Clary's life has never been good since she married Damon. She is very curious to see how miserable Clary looks now. She did everything to make sure Clary, who is a very bright student with a good future, married Damon Williams. With the kind of childhood Damon had and how Clary's behavior was (being independent and shit), Monika was very sure that Damon will obviously never allow Clary to work, but rather he will just imprison her in the house.
********
Damon left his office early to pick his kid's. Alex was very curious why his father took them early from school. Jenny looked at her brother, whose expression was obviously full of questions. Alex just shrugged his shoulders, stating that he had no idea. But Jenny being a curious little girl ask her daddy.
"Daddy, why are we going home early today? Are we going to eat some cakes?" Jenny asks with wide eyes.
Damon, who was driving, chuckled and answered. "No, today your mommy's daddy or your grandpa invited us to his house. Since you want a cake, I will buy it for you. Alex, what do you want? Since I am in a good mood today, I will buy anything that you two needs." Damon asked his son, who at the same time frozen.
Alex doesn't remember the last time his father asked him or Jenny for a choice, and he was not courageous enough to decline his father's demand. Whenever he needs something, he always asks his mother, and then she delivers the message to his father.
"Hah... I... I... you can... get... me anything... I don't mind." Alex stuttered. He might ask for something, but then maybe he might end up in trouble and make his father upset.
Damon stopped the car and looked at his son, who was fiddling with his fingers nervously while looking at his lap, not daring to look at his father.
"You're a man; when will you stop acting like a little scared chicken? Continuing to behave like this clearly leaves you vulnerable to being taken advantage of! You're my son, and you need to be tough, not a useless weakling!" Damon shouted, scaring Alex even more. Alex hugged his little legs, covered his face between his legs, and trembled in fear. Jenny was worried about her brother; one minute ago, everything was fine, and now their daddy is angry.
"B-brother?....." Jenny, who was scared by her daddy's sudden shouting, whimpered and touched her brother's back. Damon was even more annoyed. He is really getting disappointed the way Alex is acting.
Seeing his son's posture made him even more upset as he remembered crouching back and trembling in fear when he was mistreated. Now, Damon's face turned red, and he completely lost it as he saw his own son crouching back and trembling in fear, despite not being hit, insulted, or scolded. He never puts a finger on his children's, and they behave like he is some kind of monster!
"Stop being a weak and look at me now! I didn't bring you into this world to be a disappointment! Look at me this instant or else!"
Alex, who knew he really made his father angry, lifted his face and looked at him, fear written all over his little face. Damon gritted his teeth in anger and left his car. He walked back and forth several times, trying to calm himself down.
But now Damon understands; he is an adult here, and how he behaved in the car wasn't right; his son is still young, and he shouldn't have said those words; he should act gentle and be understanding to his kids. He should ask for forgiveness.
'Why should you ask for forgiveness? Did you do anything wrong? Do you want him to become a weak and be subjected to bullying? He must be strong and courageous, not a disappointment. But he is just a child, and he needs to pamper him. Just because he is Alex's father, it doesn't give him a right to harm his son in any way,' Damon said to himself, shaking his head and trying to calm down.
"Brother, don't be scared. We will tell mommy that Daddy shouted at you and scolded you." Jenny, who was worried said but Alex shook his head and hugged his little sister tightly.
"Jenny, it's okay; you don't have to say anything to Mommy; we don't want to make Mommy worried; remember, Daddy said we would go visit Grandpa and eat yummy foods." Alex answered, making Jenny immediately forget about her daddy's outburst and just think about food.
He then looked at his father, who was still outside the car. Though he was worried, he didn't have the courage to go and check if his dad was okay. His father must really dislike him because he is so week and useless.
****
Clary was still in her room after taking a nap and was now going through the new phone she bought and checking the progress of her business. The profit wasn't disappointing, and in a year, if everything goes well, she is very sure that she will be somewhere. She hid her phone immediately when she heard the car horn.
Clary calmed herself down, washing her face, and then she left the room and headed to the dining area. She opened the door and saw her two kids coming out from the car with their school bags. Jenny smiled and ran towards her mom. Clary smiled back as she picked her daughter up, then hugged her son with her free hand.
"You came home early today; how was school? Did you two have fun?" Clary asked her kids, who nodded their heads and reported everything that they did at school.
Damon drove the car to the garage, then walked back to the house. Clary saw Damon's red face and concluded that he was not in a good mood, but she really didn't have the guts to ask. She approached Damon, who had just entered their room, and helped him remove his coat, after sending the two kids to their rooms to get changed.
"Welcome back; are you hungry? I will prepare something for you; you can go ahead and freshen up." Clary said this to Damon, who didn't answer but rather hugged her tightly.
"No matter what happens, you will never leave me; promise me that you will stay with me forever; be loyal to me; never look at other people or listen to anyone's words, because they will only mislead you; only Damon Williams is honest and truthful to you." Damon said it in one single breath, and Clary knew something must have happened.
"I know, I will stay with you forever." Clary answered even though she didn't mean a word that she has said: who would want to stay in a toxic and unhappy relationship? Even if she had lived with Damon for eight years, she would not think twice about when she will have a chance to leave him.
Damon takes a long breath, releases her, and looks at her.
"Prepare yourself; we will be going to your father's house." Damon ordered and then walked away before Clary could say anything.
Clary frowned and wondered why Damon had suddenly decided to visit her father's house. She hasn't visited or seen her father for over a year now, and she really doesn't have any kind of affection for that man.
Clary waits for Damon to come out of the shower; she really wants to know what's going on.
****
"Damon, why do we have to go? Can't we just stay here? I can cook, or we can go out to a nearby restaurant. I really don't want to go." Clary started talking, but she immediately stopped when her gaze met of her husband, who had already drawn a conclusion about some non-existent things.
"Go to a restaurant? Who is that person, and when are you going to meet him? You want to leave me? Run away with that bastard! Is that what you have been planning all along?" Damon shouted, and Clary, who was already used to Damon's insecurity, tried to calm herself.
"I never said such things; stop with your wild imagination, or you know what? I really don't want to argue with you." Clary said, she doesn't give a fuck and made sure to keep a distance from Damon; she is smart enough not to be very close to her crazy husband.
"Clary, come near; don't stand far away from me; it's not like I am going to hurt you; I will forget what you have said, and I will forgive you and that person whoever you want to meet." Damon said with a signature creepy smile, though he seemed calm. His expression and actions state otherwise.
Clary didn't dare to take a step; her kids are inside the house now, and she really doesn't want them to see or listen to anything.
"Damon, please, Alex and Jenny, in the house. I sincerely and really hoped that we wouldn't argue or get physical in front of the kids. I was in the house the whole day. I didn't go out or go against any of your rules that you've set. You monitor my every movement. You check my phone every day. If I really plan to meet someone else, then you could have known. I have never thought of cheating on you or seeing someone else. You're my husband, and it's my obligation to be loyal and honest to my partner. We have a family now, and I will never leave you alone. I will be here with you forever." Clary answered while checking her husband's movements. Her words seemed to calm down Damon, and he became even more relaxed.
Clary knew she needed to continue talking so Damon would be completely reassured that she would never leave him.
"You promised me to be a good and understanding husband and father; you love me right; you know better than anyone else that I will never leave you or betray you; I will remain loyal forever; stay by your side; listen to you; and be obedient. I know you do everything for me to keep me safe and protect me; you're doing everything for my own good." Clary added and walked closer to Damon and hugged him. Damon was now completely calmed and let Clary hug him.
"I know you're the only person who I will trust, my good wife, and who will never leave me. You don't want to go to your father's house; that's fine. Anyway, I don't want anyone apart from me to touch you or get close to you because I am the one worthy of you. I will help you prepare dinner. How about it?" Damon genuinely smiled, and Clary didn't refuse. The maids and chefs were given three days off.
Damon and Clary left their room with Damon wrapping his hand around Clary's waist, and the two walked down the stairs. Alex and Jenny were already dressed and waiting for their parents.
Clary was surprised when she saw her two kids dressed so well; it looks like Damon has already informed them of going to her father's house.
"Mommy, see, I dressed myself; brother only helped me with my hair; let's go; daddy said we are going to mommy's daddy house!" Jenny said in an excited tone. Clary was now speechless and looked at Damon, wondering what to say. Her daughter will be very disappointed if she says they're not going. Her daughter looks so pretty and gorgeous, and it's been a long time since she went out with Alex and Jenny. She really shouldn't be so selfish.
"My good girl looks so beautiful, just as beautiful as always; Alex looks good too; aww, my two babies are just as pretty as me and Daddy." Clary said and kissed their cheeks. She then looked at Damon, who had been quiet all this time, and added.
"Damon, let's just go; they're already dressed; let's have a quick shower together and go to my father's house."
Damon hesitated for a while, but then nodded his head. The two had a quick shower, got dressed, and were about to go out when Damon stopped Clary.
"You're not allowed to look and talk to anyone, even with your family; stay away from them. I don't want them to even touch you." Damon said, and Clary smiled and nodded her head.
Clary has a lot on her mind; she is not sure how her father and stepmother, together with her daughter, will treat her and her kids, but she is sure that with Damon around, no one will dare do or say anything to them. Three of them are sure scared of her husband.
