Trapped Inside This Madness

At KELOO, a five-star hotel of N City.

"Come with me and catch him." Cherry Mo quickly showed the photo to Mino Xu.

In the photo, there was a fat and balding middle-aged man. He had a gold chain around his neck, similar to what they used as a dog collar.

Mino Xu's face contorted into disgust. "Who is he?"

She'd just been dragged all the way to the hotel for Cherry Mo to show her the picture. However, even then, Mino Xu couldn't help but notice the restlessness in Cherry's eyes when she showed it to her.

"John – my new boyfriend. He plays around with some model – younger than him no less!"

She then showed Mino another picture. Dressed in a Chinese Cheongsam, Cherry looked absolutely seductive. Her figure was proudly enveloped, which was attractive to any man.

She grabbed a hold of Mino's hand as pleading, "I know this is dangerous, but please? We've been best friends since forever!"

"Let me go!" Mino shook her hand from her grasps.

"It is the eighth time this year you've asked me to catch your boyfriend who's cheating on you! I mean, didn't we just celebrate New Year's Eve seven weeks ago? I don't this becomes my weekly routine!" Mino complained, looking nothing more than a grumpy child.

"It's not like I have a choice!" Cherry protested, her voice filled with sentimentality.

"Please? Do you really want me to be hurt by another guy? I'll lose my trust in love at this time!"

"It's not about that!" Mino argued. She still had a bit of baby fat in her cheeks, but under the moonlight, she was stunning herself.

Taking a deep breath, she felt as if she was going to tell her friend what she had explained countless of times when it was spiraling down to this.

"You keep dating all those middle-aged men. Cherry, they could be as old as your Dad! How do you think your mother's feeling about this?"

"But look at how generous they are! Plus their break-up fees aren't that bad either," Cherry snapped back, motioning to the designer bag that she was sporting.

"At least take care of yourself! You know how men are, especially those old enough." Seeing as beating around the bush wouldn't work, Milo might as well tell her straight off.

"John has an erectile problem." Cherry winked.

"I'm not talking about that!" Couldn't she see the point she was trying to make? Mino ran her fingers down her hair, frustration evident in her face.

"I'll pay you! One percent of my break-up fees?" Cherry suggested, taking out a room key.

"You know what? Go ahead." Mino grumpily took the lead, knowing that she was going nowhere if she continued talking to Cherry.

At that moment, the luxurious LED screen displayed the cocktail party being hosted by the KELOO hotel. However, it was just interrupted by regular news.

It was the wealthiest and high-class hotel across the N City. Usual crime news wasn't normally displayed upon the screen.

With the cut, everyone looked at the screen in disbelief, trying to see what the fuss was about. Cherry and Mino, however, were too busy getting into the elevator.

"Last week in Las Vegas, the Clow Family was stolen. With tight monitoring and security network, the thieves managed to get through in less than two minutes!

This video would show the events that had transpired that night. The Clow Villa is equipped with the most intelligent surveillance system.

However, the power was cut out coincidentally. With this, once the power returned a few seconds later, the Heart of First Snowflakes and the thief were nowhere to be seen!" The news showed the various events as the audience gasped in disbelief.

"No one can explain how this had happened.

Although nobody got a good look at the thief, there were some who said that it was the young girl – Angie, the infamous robber.

The Heart of First Snowflakes of the Clow Family is a national treasure. In fact, it's linked with the Heart of Lost Love from the Yuan Family, another priceless piece.

Some have said that Angie would be aiming for the Yuan Family next! Just at this time, Ryan, a member of the Yuan Family, was a guest under the Clow's Villa."

The people around the lobby held their breath. They watched the Cable News as if they were watching their favorite drama.

Just then, a tall man stepped into the screen. His facial features were very angular as his eyes were dark and deep. He wasn't affected amidst the flustered crowd as he stared into the camera.

"If you dare touch our piece, that would be the worst mistake of your life, Miss Angie."

No one could hear what the broadcaster said next as the lobby erupted with a flurry of gossip among the audience.

A woman from Chanel turned to one of her co-workers. "Is he Ryan? He never accepted any invitation to visit our country. Who knew he'd be so handsome?"

"The Yuan Family monopolizes the property and finance market. They're practically invincible! Plus, Mr. Ryan's now the head of their transportation industry, but he's so private. If the thief didn't visit the Clow Family, the media wouldn't even have pictures of him."

"God bless that robber then. Maybe then, we'll see Mr. Ryan on screen." A woman winked.

The hall was already filled with so much gossip.

"You think I'll be able to see him when I go to Vegas? I'll be sure to check where he went!"

With all this clutter, no one bothered to listen to the policemen's pleas for help on the case.

On the other side of the building, the elevator stopped at the eighteenth floor. It was one of the most luxurious floors of the entire hotel.

Mino didn't hear the news. She stopped at 1808 and swiped the card, furrowing her eyebrows when it didn't work.

"Stay away or you'll be dead on the spot!" she yelled.

With a click, the door opened.

Mino was holding her very own weapon – an anti-seismic camera. Her sweet and delicate face turned murderous in an instant.

She was a professional woman. In fact, all the victims she held always paid their price in the end.

She kicked the door open.

Being quite familiar with the scene, Milo wasted no time in taking pictures.

There was no need to see the main act. He must've been acting foolishly. With balding hair and a trembling face, the man must look awful.

"You have the right to remain silent, John, but you'll pay the price whether you like it or not!" she yelled out unbelievingly.

"Miss, you recognized the wrong person." A cold and deep voice echoed in the room.

Although it was soft, it sounded as if it could control the whole crowd.

'What?' It was different from the usual begging she'd hear from a 'culprit'!

"Ah! Who's that?" Before she could see who it was, someone yelled out, "Ryan, who's that? I'm so scared!"

Mino furrowed her eyebrows at the sound. This wasn't in accordance with her plan in the first place.

'Isn't she the popular actress, Betty Chu?' She was the youngest daughter of the Chu Family, and a beauty queen and had been in many movies. Never did Mino expect that John would mix himself with the likes of her!

Mino took up the camera again.

However, just when she did that, Betty Chu was already terribly enthusiastic, posing in front of the lens that Mino was scared that she'd take the camera from her and take a photo of herself in the process.

At last Betty Chu even threw herself onto the bed! With a loud bang,

Betty was pushed out of the cushions!

...... Mino blinked.

"Stop your acting and get out!" The cold voice sounded very demanding.

"Acting?" In her 17 years of doing this, Mino had never met such a domineering man.

"Shut up, old man! Listen, no one is playing with you today. If you don't pay up a million, I'll ruin you."

"Hey! Reporter! You... Did you make a mistake?"

Betty furrowed her eyebrows at her lines.

"Take it wrong? How could I get it wrong?" Hearing that she denied it, Mino was growing very worried.

"Is it not John under the quilt?" she demanded. "Facts tell the truth!"

With a camera in hand, Mino rushed over to the bed.

What happened just now was going to be engraved in history. No one would know that this petite girl could detour Betty in a second, and her motion was so fast that no one could see clearly. She suddenly pulled away the quilt and pointed at him!

"For sure! You're John all right!"

Time froze. Ryan Yuan looked at Mino's fluffy head. Her skin was not made up but as white as transparent, and her amber colored eyes were without any impurity. Her hand was poking his nose, just like a righteous citizen catching hypocrisy red-handed.

They stared at each other.

The man on the bed had an absolutely flawless face. His features were perfect and proportioned. Although he wasn't properly dressed and was only in his underwear, it did nothing to his appearance. In fact, it made it even better.

Feeling that her breathing seemed to stop for the instant, Mino turned her head in silence and said, "Cherry, you said that John is ugly......"

Just then, she saw a figure being dragged from the opposite door. The man had a balding head and an equally large belly. He was already pleading for forgiveness as he was being tugged by the ears by Cherry.

'Oh, Shit.' Mino glanced at the sign of the door. It was 1868. The room she was supposed to go into was 1808. It felt as if she was choking in thin air.

She slowly turned to the man whose eyes were dark with unknowable fury.

It was the most terrifying sight that she couldn't help but shiver as she stared into him. However, there was something about the man that looked so familiar. Mino froze in realization. He was no other than Ryan Yuan, known as Mr. Ryan of N City by the American Cable News Network.

He was Mr. Ryan.

Mino's eyes were already getting misty at the embarrassment she got herself in. As Ryan lay under his fingers, he couldn't help but wonder what he had gotten himself into.

'Damn! What the hell was going on?' He remembered being so irritated when Betty tried to seduce him. Yet, after being stared down by this uncouth woman, he found that he was already unable to control himself.

Was it due to her being too simple and crude? And how long would she stare at him like that?

"We are the New Entertainment Weekly..." Just then, several journalists rushed into the scene.

They held their cameras as they tried their best to click away as if they'd just hit a gold mine. Ryan's photo was just so rare that it would bring a lifetime of money if they could get a hold of his photo. It would be one of the greatest event in the field of entertainment!

"Hey! Didn't you come here to take my picture?"

Betty stomped, frustrated. She hated how she wasn't being the center of their attention. Although she might not be his girlfriend, she might as well get a bit of fame from his scandal.

However, they all crowded over, concentrating on the girl who they had no idea of.

"This one..." Raising her head, Mino was already alarmed. She should explain herself as quickly as possible.

There was absolutely no room for error!

Mino tried to calm down as she explained what had happened. "I made a mistake. It's because of your impotency, and my friend can prove it!"

Impotency? She burst into his room, to insult him?

However, the flashes of camera continued to light up as the journalists ignored Betty's face when they were all concentrated on the scene at hand.

No matter how bright the flashes were, they still weren't able to light up Ryan's face.

With a red face, Mino loosened hold of him.

However, just as she was about to pull away her hand on the elastic, his underwear snapped almost immediately.

The flashes stopped as dead quietness filled the air.

His face quickly clouded over.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry," she said repeatedly, her bottom lip trembling.

"No need! You won't have the opportunity to get away with it." Ryan quickly lifted her up.

Like a rabbit who got caught, her eyes widened, face flushing.

The entertainment journalists felt as if they had just turned lucky in their careers.

Ryan was a powerful man, but he didn't have his pictures on the internet, yet alone be tied to a scandal.

However, just now, he was already tangled by a young girl!

It was like a reality show!

"Let me go! Do you want to suffocate me or something?"

The man was so strong that she could hardly breathe in his grasp. She just continued kicking, till she finally kicked something that had surprised him completely.

His face froze. He rolled on the bed with her as he let out a choked cry.

The woman had just kicked him right in the balls! She didn't even need to do anything else.

However, before she could get away, Ryan grabbed a hold of her wrist.

It was said how a kick to the jewels would be as if a man was experiencing childbirth.

She wasn't expecting that he'd be able to grip her this hard. If this were a competition, she might be inclined to give this man a reward!

She wanted to cry out only to find that her tears had dried out. "Please forget me," she murmured.

"All I wanted was to catch my friend's unfaithful boyfriend, but...

please let me go."

"You're the second woman I want you to disappear out of my sight."

Ryan's face was livid with rage. No one who'd insulted him would leave unscathed. This woman would pay for what she'd done!

If she were an animal, her ears would be drooping now.

Her bitterness couldn't be expressed at all. At this moment, there was a loud commotion at the door as a group of men subdued the paparazzo.

'Wow! This is the legendary bodyguard team of Mr. Ryan?'

Tears streamed down her face. This was just something that wasn't in Mino's books.

When Ryan saw James Wei coming in with his subordinates, he stood up in displeasure. The woman couldn't get out now, that was for sure.

"Please forgive me," she cried out.

Before he could respond, she poked him in the eyes.

How dare she!

Ryan cursed in his head, blocking the woman in front of him. However, just as he was about to reach for her, he caught nothing.

Just then, the power went out!

He cursed. When the light was turned on, the woman was already gone.

He cast a sharp glance at the room. His subordinates were well-trained. When something happened, they would defend the exit immediately.

However, they were equally confused by the happening as well.

"I was scared to death!" Betty rushed towards him, waving her arms.

However, as Ryan raised his hand, one of his bodyguards blocked her way before she could even get close to him.

"I don't want anything to do with her."

"But Mr. Ryan..." Betty already had such a good chance but it was all ruined because of that bitch!

She scowled. Without giving any time for her to say anything else, Ryan left.

That girl? He picked up the camera that she had left, peering at it closely. They'd meet again, that was for sure.

Mino was already curled up in her small room, repeating what had happened with Ryan in her head. The more she continued to think about it, the more fearful she felt.

She decided to post it in one of her groups. "What would happen if someone had offended Mr. Ryan?"

Immediately, so many people responded.

They were just popping with so many stories. Some had said that they'd rather offend Typhon than Ryan!

As she read through some of them, she was already feeling dead with fear. Her palms were already growing sweaty.

One read: Do you know of a shameless bully named Buger in the High Sea?

He didn't care much of the Yuan Family. The family did everything to find him but then,

once Mr. Ryan took over the case, there was suddenly something wrong with Buger's giant tank. The tank was knocked against him and till now, no one could even find his bones!

Everyone thought the dock would be in a mess, but nothing happened!

The next day, the order of the dock was even better than before. Why?

Mr. Ryan has taken over the dock! You'd get beaten up if you dare offend him!

'Are you sure you are not talking about the plot of a horror movie?' Mino's eyes widened in shock!

Another one read: In fact, he was kind of romantic five years ago.

He had a girlfriend named Rose Ning. Although they had never been exposed to the public before, their relationship was always stable and loving.

You know N City wasn't called N City in the past. When Mr. Ryan was about to get engaged to Miss. Rose, one of the betrothal gifts was for the city to be named after her surname.

However, when he found out she was cheating on him, she was shot straight to the heart.

The Ning Family was also famous in N City, but in just one night, they were all sent abroad. No one knew if Rose's alive or not.

So if you offend Mr. Ryan? You might as well pray that you live a painless death!

The comments were a mess! Mino groaned, burying her head deep into her hands. She hated it,

hated how these people would believe such rumors.

Maybe Ryan wasn't that scary.

Maybe the people in that chat box were only overreacting to who Ryan really was. Mino turned on her laptop and typed it into the search bar. 'What if someone offended Ryan by accident?'

Shit! That was the last thing Mino thought of when she saw the screen.

"According to the browser's policies, searches that include blood and violence are automatically blocked. Shit," she murmured over and over again, running her hands down her hair. Then she just shut off her laptop with a loud bang.

She wasn't going to give up easily. Trying to sort out her thoughts, she pulled out her phone once again.

The next day, at the cafe.

"Mino, long time no see!" Cherry placed her limited edition handbag on the table for everyone to see.

Mino almost jumped at being called. These days, her nerves were a complete mess, especially after searching all those things on Ryan.

She had missed Cherry so much. Right now, she was her only hope. However, Cherry had other plans for the day. She held her friend's hands, smiling. "Want to go on another 'catch the adulterer' escapade with me?" she teased lightly.

As soon as Mino heard that, hot tears were already bursting from her eyes. When she raised her head, Cherry's eyes widened.

There were dark circles right below her eyes and her cheeks had tear splotches all over them. It felt as if she hadn't slept for days. If someone were to placed horns on top of her head, she might as well look like a monster out on a run.

"I'm in trouble." Mino hiccupped, trying to blink the tears away.

Cherry was one of the most popular girls living next door to the Xu Family during Mino's childhood years. Although they lost contact when the Mo Family moved out, they reignited their friendship when they found out they went to the same university.

Given that she was charming, Cherry jumped from various middle-aged men, making sure to get her money fix from them. Mino, being just a second year student, helped her in those times by catching them during their adulterous acts.

Now, Cherry was the best chance she got.

"What did you say?" Cherry blinked after being told what had happened. "You provoked Mr. Ryan?"

"Should I buy my own gravestone now?" Mino buried her head deep in her hands as she closed her eyes, trying to imagine what pit he'd throw her into once he was done.

"No, we're getting you a plane out of here." Without another thought, Cherry rummaged her phone from her LV bag before making a call.

"Hello? Get me the earliest ticket to America for my friend. Book a room at the Hilton Hotel for two weeks for her too."

"What? They're just too expensive, Cherry," Mino protested.

"I'll pay for it." Cherry hung up her phone with a shrug, waving her hand dismissively.

"Seriously, what's the point of all this money if I don't get to help you in times of need?"

If successful middle-aged men had seen this, they would have thought that their vindictive girlfriend would be surprisingly sweet and innocent.

Mino was deeply moved by her words, shaking her head. "But you said about catching your boyfrien–"

"Let him have it! I'll collect an even bigger fee by the time this is over anyway."

Cherry winked at her playfully before resorting back to the serious expression she was wearing. "As for your mother, I'll hide her to my villa first. If things get worse, then I'll wait till you get back to China. If you don't, I'll find another way to send her to America. Your father died early. I won't let that accident happen again."

"His death wasn't an accident," Mino interrupted coldly.

However, just as she said it, Mino couldn't help but feel guilty over her words. Cherry was already helping her through this, and this was how she'd thank her.

But ever since she'd remembered her father, cold and lifeless, Mino couldn't help but feel a sense of rage mulling her over like the tide calling for the seas.

She shook her head, ridding the thoughts from her mind.

"You're a savior, Cherry. Thank you," she said sincerely.

"Savior, huh? Oh shit! The old ladies!" Suddenly, Cherry's face changed.

Before Mino could register what was happening, Cherry shook of her grasp. "John's wife's coming with her friends. Help me stall."

"What?" Mino's eyes widened, not believing what she'd just said.

'John's wife?' Turned out, Cherry's boyfriend had a family now.

Right at that moment, Cherry had already taken her sunglasses and ran off, handbag in her hand.

Sitting upright, Mino could already feel her fingers shaking. This was worse than being hunted down by Ryan!

"I saw the bitch. She is here!"

Now, as the wife stepped nearer, Mino realized why John was suffering from impotence. It seemed as if the woman was holding the pants in the relationship.

"The girl must be associated with that slut!"

One of the women pointed at Mino.

Cherry, meanwhile, was making a gesture to Mino to help her. "Hold them back!

I can't deal with them."

She'd already promised to take care of her mother, so Mino just had to help her!

As she looked at the group of women fast approaching, she knew that she couldn't take them on by force even if she wanted to. She might as well take them down by strategy

Just at that moment, she caught a glimpse of the back of a man who'd been sitting right in front of her. If that man could prove that she'd been with him, then the women would stop approaching her.

By then, Cherry would've successfully retreated!

Her plan was absolutely full proof!

Mino pinched her cheeks enough to turn them red.

She also pulled her hair back to expose her exquisite jawline.

She then undid two buttons of her chest to reveal a bit of cleavage.

Mino needed to sacrifice this at least.

Without another word, she approached him. The man looked up to see an exquisite girl approaching him and it felt as if his breath was taken away.

Her skin was white and fair, similar to that of a flower's. Just then he could even see a bit of her cleavage, showing much of her delicate and blessed figure.

As she wished, this man was stunned by her at the first sight.

"Honey, you're here!" As these women were fast approaching, Mino threw herself into the man's arms, taking his hands. "Did you wait for a long time?"

The man's eyes widened.

She didn't even get a good look at his face as she threw herself in. The man was so tall that her head could only collide on his chest.

What's worse was that given that she'd already unbuttoned her shirt, the man could already see it all.

There was less left for imagination. If she had known about this,

then Milo wouldn't have done that!

However, all that counted was for her to mitigate this situation immediately. This was why, she turned to lower her voice.

"Help me by pretending you're my boyfriend. These women want me to blindly date their sons, and if they caught me, I'll be married off. Please help me."

"I've been waiting for you!" he then replied.

It was a perfect mix of affection and sweetness that she couldn't believe that she actually caught someone who was good in acting. She was so surprised that she couldn't even speak.

It felt as if they were already blocked by an invisible barrier, protecting her from these women.

Suddenly, they didn't seem much of a threat.

Normally, these old women would haggle around her still. Mino furrowed her eyebrows when she heard that no one spoke.

"How do I punish you for being late for such a long time?" 'What?' The man raised her chin for her to get a better look at his face.

"Ah!" 'Shit! It's Ryan!'

His dark eyes and angular face made it seem as if he'd just popped out of a magazine. Mino could only gape at him.

'Help!' She wanted to scream. However, before she could try and escape, he pushed her head back to his chest.

She felt his hard muscles right below her chest, and when she inhaled, there was a small scent of tobacco.

"She is just so happy to see me. Sorry,"

Ryan smiled.

"Well, Mr. Ryan, is she really your girlfriend?"

"Are you together three days ago?"

Although Mr. Ryan was very intimidating, the women mustered up the courage to ask him the questions.

It was a dangerous situation indeed.

Mino stopped struggling and stared at Ryan with wide eyes.

Now, she didn't know what the worse option was now – to be haggled by these women or to be trapped with Ryan.

"She didn't leave me one minute." Ryan turned around.

He wrapped his arm around the woman's waist. "We've been together for days now."

'Hey!

His hand's wandering down!'

Mino stuttered, taking interest in her shoes.

After hearing what Ryan said, she could only smile sweetly at the women.

Yes. Being here with Ryan was a way better alternative.

She might as well drive the old women out first!
