" Mum, from now on this is our apartment. I have to take full responsibility of you from now on, and please don't worry about anything " Gwenevere said to her mum as they walked into the sitting room.

" Gwen, what about your father? Do you think he will be fine? " Gwen's mum couldn't hold back the stream of tears that was about to escape her eyes

" I've told you to stop calling that monster my father, I hate him not only him, all men are the same. They are a bunch of idiots " Gwen started boiling with anger.

" Just have a glimpse of yourself mum, you look so pale. Please, I don't want to talk about it now " Gwen said while looking at her mother's pale skin.

" Gwenevere..... " Mrs Bautista wanted to say more but she started feeling dizzy and her legs couldn't carry her anymore.

" Mum " Gwen hugged her mum as she cried silently.

" I will take you to your room, you need to freshen up and regain some strength " She held her mother's hand and took her upstairs.

Gwenevere Bautista is a Twenty-five year's beautiful girl. She never knew that love existed between a husband and wife because of the domestic violence her mum receives from her dad every day.

Gwen's dad beats up her mum every day, sometimes he uses a chain or his belt. He would starve them for days, without having mercy on his little daughter.

Everything was still fresh in Gwen's memory. when she was a child, she thought her mum was dead because she passed out after receiving a thorough beating from her husband.

" Mum! Mum! Mum! Please wake up. Dad, mum isn't waking up " Little Gwen let out her emotions after thinking that she had lost her mum.

" I'm sure that your future husband will also treat you this way. So, geso t used to it ". Mr.Bautista said to his little daughter who was just Eight years old.

Gwen couldn't hold back her tears after remembering that particular incident.

After her college education, she decided to take her mum out of the house and give her a better life.

" I won't let my mum suffer anymore, I will look for decent work and take good care of her " Gwen concluded before she dozed off.

Gwen was so tired after cleaning, arranging, and dusting the apartment, she wouldn't let her mum do anything because of her condition.

Late at Night Kathryn couldn't sleep because she hadn't heard from her lover.

" Is she Okay? Noo! She hasn't stayed a whole day without texting or calling me " Sleep was far away from Kathryn.

Gwen woke up very early and prepared breakfast, she called her mum downstairs and they both walked to the dining.

" And where are you going, madam? " Her mum asked, looking more curious.

" Mum, I'm going to stay out late tonight so don't wait for me, okay? " Gwen didn't wait for her mum's reply as she rushed out with her handbag.

" But what's with her? Yesterday she almost cried down this entire building, why the sudden happiness this morning? "Curious, Laura Bautista couldn't pinpoint why Gwen was acting so strange.

" Oops!! I'm fucking happy today " Gwen was screaming as she was walking on the road. She drew so much attention unknowingly to her.

She stopped walking and decided to start running, she kept on running and jumping. It's indeed a good sight to behold.

" David, tell Mum that I won't be home tonight," Kathryn said beaming with a smile.

" why? Do you have a date? " David asked his younger sister without looking at her because he was playing a game.

" I will like it more when you start minding your business. I'm going with your car ". She said and took his car keys.

" My love, are you there already? " Kathryn speaks with someone on the phone as she left the house.

Gwen came out of the bathroom with a towel around her chest. Her long hair fell on her shoulders making her look more attractive. She was dripping and hot.

Just then she heard a knock at the door, of course, she knew who it was. Her lover has finally arrived. Her cheeks turned red immediately as she walked towards the door and opened it slowly.

" Happy anniversary to us baby " Kathryn screamed out as she walked in with a flower and a little box in her hands.

" Happy third anniversary my love, I'm so happy " Gwen let out a scream as she hugged Kathryn so tight and refused to let go.

" I think, I can't breathe anymore," Kathryn said. She so much loves it when she teases Gwen.

" Sorry pickle, I was carried away by my emotions," Gwen said as she dragged Kathryn inside the hotel room that they booked for themselves.

" I miss you so much baby, I couldn't sleep last night because I didn't hear from you," Kathryn said as she leaned on Gwen for a deep kiss.

Kathy started kissing her slowly but she wasn't satisfied and she needed more, she pushed Gwen to the wall and they started kissing like hungry lions.

Their heart started beating so fast that someone in the next room could hear it.

Ricardo Lorenzo got down from his car and opened his gate, he drove into his mansion. His house is as quiet as a graveyard.

Ricardo is a thirty years old young man, he is the CEO of Ricardo's Modelling Agency. He is also the heir of Lorenzo's group, money can never be his problem because he is a big shot.

He entered his mansion and started perceiving a very good aroma from the kitchen.

" Who the heck is in my house? " Ricardo asked as he walked straight to the kitchen.

He hated seeing anyone around him, not even his mother or sister. Ricardo loves his privacy. He has no maid, security officer, or even a gateman. He sees them as the crowd.

" Hey, babe. My love, I've missed you " Arya said beaming with a smile, she went close to hug him but he made a sign for her not to come closer.

" How did you get into my house? " Ricardo questioned her the most.

" Love, why are you so cold-hearted? Can't I hug you? " Arya sure knows how to use sweet words.

Ricardo felt like slapping her, she is such a pain in the neck.

" Why do you always have to romance your words? Can't you speak more formally? Do you flirt with any guy you see? Ricardo said as he walk past her and removed a bottle of water.

" Even if I don't flirt with others, I must flirt with you, you are so mean " Arya frowned.

" Leave my house, " Ricardo replied. And he began to push her.

Arya turned and climbed on his back, she started dragging his blonde hair.

" I am not leaving. Is this how you are supposed to welcome your kid sister? Fuck you, Ricardo " Arya yelled out.

" Arya, you are already twenty-three, can you stop behaving like a child? Get down!! " Ricardo struggled with her until he kept her on the couch and rushed towards the door.

" When you are done cooking, pack them all in my fridge and leave my house," Ricardo said because he couldn't stand his sister's silly attitude anymore.

" Take your stony ass out of here, I will leave when I want to " Arya replied as she licked her lips sexually and entered the kitchen.

" What was that? Sto..ny... What? She sure is a flirt " Ricardo said to himself as he walked out and zoomed off with his car.

Arya is his only sister, she studies abroad but comes to visit almost every month. She is always obsessed with cute guys, she flirts with them and is not ready to be in a serious relationship.

" Beach here we come!!! " Kathy increased the speed of her car. They were both in very high spirits.

Gwen and Kathy were headed towards the beach to continue the celebration.

Bang!!!!! ..... A loud noise was heard and it drew attention.

Kathy's car collided with Ricardo's. Gwen got down from the car immediately and rushed towards the other car.

" Get your fucking Ass out of that car " Gwen wasn't in her right frame of mind. She almost drank herself into a stupor.

"Yeah!!! I said get down, " Gwen screamed.

Kathy got down from the driver's seat, she wasn't intoxicated because she knows how to control herself no matter how much she drinks.

" Gwen, calm down. We are actually at fault here, let's not drag more attention " Kathy tried speaking to Gwen but she wouldn't listen.

Ricardo got down from his car and stood in front of Gwen, who was still hitting his car.

" Do you want to kill us? Are you mad? I know your type, you think everything is at the tip of your finger because you are rich and handsome " Gwen said while pointing at him.

" Gwen, let's go. Please " Kathy said, dragging her.

Gwen pushed Kathy away and she started dragging Ricardo on his tie.

" You are such an Asshole, apologize before I call the police, " Gwen said as she kept on pushing him.

" You girls are imperfect here and I'm ready to let it go but you've left me with no other alternative than you hand you over to the corpse," Ricardo said and brought out his phone.

" Please, she is drunk, doesn't take it to heart. I will take her away now " Kathy pleaded about Gwen's behavior.

Gwen stood an inch away from Ricardo, she was ready to beat him up.

" I feel like throwing up, " Gwen said as she tried to cover her mouth.

" No! No! No! That is not a good option, let's go " Kathy said.

She was about to grab Gwen's hand but it was late. Gwen opened her mouth and threw up on Ricardo.

Not only did she ruin his clothes but she collapsed on him, and they both fell on the floor.

" Gosh!!! Take this thing away from me. Ooh my!! Ooh my!! " Ricardo yelled at Kathy. He felt irritated.

" I'm sorry sir, I didn't see this coming " Kathy carried Gwen at her back.

" Hold on sir, let me drop her in the car and I will get you cleaned up," Kathy said to him. She was trying to be nice so that he wouldn't involve the corpse.

" Just shut up and get lost with your clumsy friend before I call the corpse on you," Ricardo said angrily, looking so pale.

He entered his car immediately and zoomed off.

Kathy carried her lover and dropped her on the passengers-sit, she entered the car and zoomed off.

Gwen was forced to open her eyes when the morning sun shone on her face. She looked too exhausted.

" Ooh, my!! My head is banging, how did I get home? " Gwen questioned herself.

" Your friend brought you home in the middle of the night. Just how much did you waste yourself? " Gwen's mum said as she entered the room.

" Fuck!!! Did I mess something up? " Gwen closed her eyes as she remembered everything she did last night but she couldn't recall the face of the man to whom she ruined his dress.

" Nooo!!! I've made a fool out of myself, Gwenevere you are so shameless " Gwen said to herself as she covered herself with the duvet.

" When did you start drinking alcohol, Gwen? " Mrs Bautista asked her daughter.

" Mum, I had just a little last night, I wasn't completely drunk " Gwen replied with her head down because she knew it was a lie.

" Did you go out on a date? " Mrs Bautista asked.

She noticed that Gwen's cheeks flushed at the mention of "DATE ".

" Yes, mum, " Gwen replied, all flushed.

" So you are seeing a man without my notice, is this how you belittled me? " Gwen's mum was disappointed.

Gwen got up from her bed immediately.

" Mum, I've told you that I have nothing to do with any man and I will never have anything to do with them " Gwen replied firmly

" I'm sorry that I won't be able to give you a grandchild, if you are desperate to have one, I will adopt for you, " Gwen said and was about to leave but she saw the tears in her mother's eyes.

" Did I make any mistake while training you? Gwen, what is this all about? If you didn't go out on a date with a man then who did you go out on a date with? " Mrs. Bautista cried out in pain.

" I'm sorry, I'm deeply sorry but I can't be with any man, not after what you went through at the hands of your husband " Gwen broke down alongside her mum

" I know that your father dealt with us but all men are not the same " Gwen's mum tried consoling her.

" They are the same, a bunch of fools, lunatics, monsters, and animals. I will never be with a man "Gwen's voice began to crack the more.

" Gwen, please understand..... " Mrs. Bautista couldn't complete her statement as Gwen walked out on her.

Kathryn was in the bathroom when she heard her phone circumnavigating, she rushed out thinking that it was Gwen.

But she saw an unknown number.

" Hello, I'm speaking with Miss Kathryn Green. " A female voice rang out.

" Yes, please, how may I help you? " Kathy replied politely.

" I'm the manager of an NNT company, you submitted your CV five months ago, right? " She asked Kathryn.

" Yes, please, " Kathy replied. She became anxious.

" Congratulations, miss. You are now a worker in NNT, you've been posted to the branch in the US and you are to resume work in a week " The manager speaks so elegantly.

" What? Seriously? Wow!!! This is such great news " Kathy wanted to scream but she decided to be calm until the call was over.

" How do I disclose this news to Gwenevere? " Kathy became lost in her thoughts.

" Scott, have you placed the notice board outside the company's building? Ricardo asked his assistant who was standing next to him.

" Yes sir " Scott replied as he brought out a paper and showed it to his boss.

" I told you to indicate the quality of girls we need, I'm not seeing it here " Ricardo complained as he went through it.

" Sir, I indicated it on the notice board. Tall, slim girl with a little curve and bigger boobs " Scott replied with a hint of a smile on his face.

" What's funny? " Ricardo couldn't say why Scott was beaming with a smile.

" Sir, your Mum called a few minutes ago...." Barry wasn't allowed to finish his statement.

" Tell her, I'm busy. Both of you can go back to work now " Ricardo said.

He is not a harsh boss but he wants his workers to be perfect in anything they do.

Ricardo is not in the mood to fight with his elder brother so he needed to stay away from Lorenzo's group but his mum wouldn't let him be.

Gwenevere was going through the internet in search of a job, she didn't want any work that would take her abroad because of her mum and Kathryn.

Her mum was quietly sitting next to her, she couldn't comprehend the type of relationship her daughter was into.

" Gwen, can we talk as mother and daughter without keeping secrets? " Mrs. Bautista asked her daughter who has all her attention on her phone.

" Mum, I'm in search of a job and I know what you want us to discuss, I'm not prepared to tell you anything now " Gwen responded as she gazed at her mum.

She doesn't want her mum to see her as a total disappointment because she comprehends that her mum will never authorize her relationship with Kathy.

They are Christians and their faith is against such communion.

" I will accept him no matter who he is. But wait a second, is he a Muslim? " Mrs. Bautista thought that was why Gwen couldn't tell her.

" I will be in my room, mum " Gwen responded as was about to leave when she heard a knock on the door.

" I will get the door first, " Gwen said.

She felt like using magic on her mum so that she won't remember asking about her relationship.

She opened the door and was relieved to see Kathy at least her mum will let them be.

" Kathy, thank goodness you are here. Let's go in " Gwen took her hands as they walked in.

Mrs. Bautista fixed her gaze on both of them.

" Their friendship has been kind of weird for the past few years. Or, maybe I'm just thinking too much " Mrs. Bautista was lost in thoughts and didn't notice that Kathy had been greeting her.

" Aunt, it seems I'm not welcome today, don't tell me that you two are fighting again. " Kathy questioned them.

Both mother and daughter refused to speak.

" Welcome Kathy, start advising your friend. I will be in my room " Gwen's mum said and left the two lovers.

They both made sure that she left before they kissed each other.

They have gone a long way, that they could sense each other's feelings.

" Which would you want to hear first, the good news or bad news? "Kathy's countenance changed immediately because she knows that Gwen will get hurt.

" Bad news, " Gwen replied.

" I will be traveling to the US in three days. I got a Job there " Kathy enunciated to Gwen without looking at her face.

" The good news, " Gwen asked, trying to hide how disappointed she is with Kathy.

" I found you, your dream job. I saw a very big modeling company and they need models for a very big contract so I wrote the application for you immediately, you might be called any moment for your interview " Kathy said.

" Thanks " Gwen replied and stood up as well.

" Shot the door behind you, " Gwen said without having a glimpse of Kathy's face.

She was about to enter her room but Kathy gave her a back hug. She knew how hurt Gwen was.

" Please scold me, don't leave without saying anything. Please say something " Kathy pleaded.

Gwen turned to face her and her face was red and eyes teary.

" How could you apply for a job in the US? Do you know how many jobs I've declined because I don't want to leave you? " Gwen let out her emotions which were accompanied by hot tears.

" Is this a way of discarding me? I thought you loved me, how could you accept to travel out? Gwen pulled Kathy close to her chest.

" Gwen, I haven't accepted it yet " Kathy tried to explain but Gwen lost it.

" It's not as if you came to ask for my opinion, you've made your decision so why are you telling me? " Gwen replied.

She was so hurt and she felt like hating Kathy but she couldn't.

" I wish I could hate you right now " Gwen wasn't considering how hurtful her words were to Kathy.

" I didn't see this coming. Choose between your job and me and when you've decided, let me know " Gwen yelled and entered her room. She locked the door from inside.

" Gwen!!! Gwen!!! Gwenevere!!!, I'm sorry " Kathy kept banging at the door but no response.

She walked back to the sitting room and dropped a letter of apology, she knew how short-tempered Gwen can be so she came prepared.

She left so sad.

Kathy drove straight to the house. She entered the sitting room and walked past her mum and brother without greeting any of them.

She walked straight to her room like a walking ghost. She fell on her bed and dozed off immediately.

" Mum, I can't tolerate that little punk anymore. He should step down if he can't control Lorenzo's Company anymore, " Leo Lorenzo said, burning with anger.

He continued ranting without allowing his mum to speak.

" I blame Dad for making my own younger brother the head of all his companies. You all have disregarded me enough " Leo felt like he hasn't said enough.

Mrs. Yolanda Lorenzo was sitting gracefully as her first son kept ranting. All she could see was anger, hatred, and grief.

" He shouldn't push me further, or else...!!! " Mrs. Yolanda couldn't let him complete his statement.

" You should be ashamed of yourself, you should bury your head on the ground. You are so irresponsible, I was thinking of giving you some of the company's shares but I might end up regretting it " His mum fired back at him.

" Now I support your late Father, initially I thought he hated you and that's why he made Ricardo the heir to all his companies, but now I know that he cared about the future of Lorenzo " Mrs. Yolanda felt so disappointed.

" Mum, how could.... " Leo was unable to round up his statement.

Mrs. Yolanda lost her five fingers on his face.

" Shut up and leave my presence now "
