50 YEARS AGO (October 20, 1970)

"What the hell Damien, you could have at least left some for us" Claude shooked his head at the bodies that were scattered around the floor

Suddenly a blur came and just from the scent we already knew who it was.

"Damn Damien you are a greedy bastard you didn't even leave some for us" Zachary sighed at the mess he was looking at, he gave a disappointing look at me but I ignore it.

"Well, it's not my fault, if you guys went early you could have some" I smirked while wiping the blood that was dripping from my mouth as I stepped to the dead bodies.

"Is this normal humans?" Claude asked as he was checking if someone is still alive so he could suck the blood out of them but sadly he didn't find one. After all, I finished them all because I couldn't help it.

"I don't really know" I shrugged as I throw the bodies into a pile.

"You should have a check first before you just go around and rage" Zachary scolded he was trying to help me pile the dead bodies. "You what happens if we messed up with someone's territory, we are only here to get something not to end every single life of these poor humans"

"I was just having fun, don't worry they wouldn't even know we are here" I raised my hand up and defended myself. There Zachary goes again he is always soft for humans. In our circle of friends, Zachary is the oldest he is 19 years old while Claude and I are 17.

We are fresh vampires in fact the three of us have been friends since we are kids and then uncured flu got spread in our small town leaving us all waiting for death, our parents and family died and we kids are the only people left in the hospitals we are just waiting for our death but then one day a man came out of nowhere in our hospital bed and started to bit us he even told us 'If you want to live just close your eyes and pray that you will survive this' All I remember was the excruciating pain that filled my whole body, then suddenly I woke up in a huge house super confused and I felt my neck is super dry like it was begging for a drink. Then that man appeared again and I finally knew his name this time and his name was Vincent, he explained everything to us, at first we didn't believe him and as we grow we are eventually realizing the truth of the world and about us.

Since then he took care of us, raised us as his own, and trained us along with the other vampires.

I don't really like him at first, I hated him because he turned us into something without our permission, now we are going to live forever without our parents and being a monster. But after years I warmed up to him eventually we are okay now.

"Master Vincent is not going to be happy about this" Claude stated as he looked at the piled humans.

"There you go again mentioning our so called dad" I rolled my eyes, not really in the mood to argue with them both because I'm just here to feed myself.

"Never mind, come on let's get what we really came here for," Zachary said before we all continue to travel to our destination.

We finally reached the town in just a blink, well it's not that very far from where we came from, these towns are really close to each other.

We are in the town that we used to call home, we are here to retrieve a thing that belongs to our so called father Vincent, he didn't tell us what is it, he told us that if we get it back then he will tell us what it is.

"My, my what happened in here," I said we are on the top of the roof watching people around we can smell their scents from above it smelled like a wet dog and we already knew what they are. "It looks like wolves take over our home"

"This is unacceptable, we are lucky that we moved far away from them" Zachary shook his head in disbelief crossing his arms.

"I missed this town, it holds so many memories we use to be normal and we just play and run around," Claude said while looking at the whole town meaningfully he was like having a flashback, he is reminiscing about our happy human past.

"That was just 7 years ago bro don't be so dramatic" I scoffed at how soft they are turning.

"You know since you became a vampire you become hotheaded geez we missed the old you, you used to be caring for us" Claude jeered while glaring at me.

"Whatever, let's split up to get what we are really here for," I told them as I jumped down from the roof to the ground and started to stroll along the streets.

"Don't wander around for too long" I heard Zachary shouted.

I have to admit as I walk around the happy memories were flashing in my mind, I really missed those times too but we are really different from who we are in the past and we don't need to keep on looking back at the past because it's making us soft.

"You aren't supposed to be in this town" A girl appeared behind me as I mindlessly stroll down the street.

I turned around to see a black haired girl around my age, she is small but she looked ripped, recognizing her stinky dog scent I already know what kind she is.

"You are not supposed to be here vampire" The girl spat as she raised her eyebrows and then proceed to cross her arms, If I wasn't that nice this girl would have met her death by now. "Do you want me to tell the whole pack that a vampire is crossing this line or Am I going to remove you myself?"

"You are quite something wolf girl" I laughed she was taken aback at my reaction because I am not really bothered by her threat, I could kill a whole pack in a blink of an eye so it didn't really bother me. "Why don't you just relax, I mean no harm and I'm only here to get what is ours"

"Nothing from here belongs to you filthy blood sucking monsters I think you went into a wrong place" The girl growled, I glared at her for calling us that, as a vampire, we all hated being called blood sucking monsters it's just annoying and disrespectful "Unless you have a death wish I suggest you leave this place this instant"

I walked near her and I can feel her tremble upon my gaze and I smirked.

"You think I'm scared of a dog like you? you better think twice because from what I can hear from your head is all fear" I whispered before I quickly run far away before she could even breathe.

I was in the other street again and noticed that my friends already arrived at the destination.

"Wow this is the first time you guys go first, I'm so proud of you both" I sarcastically said causing them both to scoff, most of the time when we are asked to do something from far away I usually go first because I was much faster than both of them combined.

"I don't really know why we call you our friend geez you are very annoying nowadays" Claude shooked his head.

"What took you so long anyway?" Zachary questioned.

"I bumped into some wolf girl trying to threaten me to leave but I ran away from her" I simply shrugged dismissing the fact that Zachary is looking at me like he was going to scold me again.

"I told you not to wander around" Zachary scolded causing me to groan at him "Now we got to act fast before they find us"

We stared at the large building our 'dad' Victor used to live it was a casual house. We wondered who is living here.

Zachary walked towards knocked on the door and I rolled my eyes and went to the door to kick it.

"See much easier than knocking" I gesture both of my hands to the door I broke.

"Gosh do you really need to deal everything with violence?" Zachary shook his head in disappointment.

Then suddenly a man spoke.

"Who are you and what are you doing in here?" A deep voice said, we watched the figure walk out the building his face brought back many memories we are all shocked to see that face after a long time.

"Mister Jerry?" I stuttered, confusion is going around in my head as we stared at the man who taught, cared, and helped us in school before we became vampires.

"Look who it is, it's my favorite trio," Jerry said as he walks near us like he was going to hug us but we all stepped back he frowned at us, then I can see a hint of something deep in his eyes and I can't it figure out, I tried reading his mind but he seemed to be blocking it.

I can sense that something isn't right.

"No offense but cut the crap mister Jerry I know that you are just acting" I sniggered at him, Zachary and Claude were shocked at how I approached him, I'm guessing they didn't sense it, how dense. Mister Jerry immediately laughed.

"Fine, I always knew you were a smart one," He said in a serious voice finally dropping the act.

"I can't believe it after all this time you have been a wolf?" I asked him as we cautiously walked inside the house and making our way to the living room to sit on a couch.

"Yes" He answers briefly then gave us a disgusted look "I know what happened to you three and I can really say I'm disappointed that you chose to be our enemy"

"We didn't have any choice," Zachary told him finally realizing that our old mentor wasn't really being friendly.

"How dare you say that! It wasn't really our choice!" I told him, anger was evident in my voice.

"Like hell, I would believe that," He said while eyeing us suspiciously.

"After all the things we did this is how you treat us? We looked up to you!" Claude added, we can see his eyes watering a bit. Between our friends, Claude is the most emotional and a crybaby.

"Well that was before and things have changed now," He told us with a blank expression "You guys are my enemies now. Anyways what are you doing in my town? we can't allow a kind like you to enter this town remember? didn't the wolves I sent out for protection outside our territory didn't catch you? that is impossible a vampire could never reach this far"

"That's not our problem, maybe your lovely protectors are weak and lazy to look around so we passed by through the gates easily without them catching our scent, and also don't forget we are the strongest vampires alive in this century," I told him confidence was dripping in my voice "We just came here for something, not to have a war with you so let's be quick and just tell us where is the old vault?"

Jerry scrunched his eyebrows, not understanding what does that old vault mean. He thinks hard trying to remember anything then it clicked him, now that I can finally read his mind, I know that he finally knows what we are talking about.

But our conversation was cut by a boy running towards Jerry looking like he saw something, like a ghost.

"Master, our guys detected that the town next to us has been wiped out by a vampire," He said in between his breaths and he glance at us his eyes widen even more as he took a step back.

Jerry look at us anger was filled in his eyes.

"Don't look at us like that, we have been on our best behavior since we got here but I can't say the same to Damien here" Zachary told him, as he shook his head in disappointment for the one-hundredth time now.

Jerry turned to me with an angry expression and I held my arms up in surrender.

"Look that was another town, I promise I didn't touch any person here in your town, I've been behaving too," I told him, but that only cause him to boil his blood even more.

"That town was under my supervision too! how could you be this reckless?!" he said, slamming the coffee table with his fist. "I have sent protectors over there what did they do?!" Jerry turned around to the boy with irritation plastered on his face

"They were executed too master" He gulped, refusing to meet Jerry's eyes.

"How dare you filthy monsters kill those people! There are important people there, why did you have to do that!" Jerry growled, his eyes flashing dark, his body was releasing heat, It's like any second now he would turn into a wolf. The three of us stepped back. Damn this is bad. All we have to do is to get that thing and now we are going to have a fight.

Then a few seconds, Jerry was already in his full form of a black wolf, wrecking all of the things even the coffee table, his companion also turn into his wolf form. Jerry was a large dog considering he is an alpha. It was growling at us, then it started to howl calling for backup.

Shit.

"I won't let you get that thing, that is our only hope" I read his mind, I was confused, I have no idea what he is talking about.

Only hope?

Then I tried reading his mind again "What's inside that vault is our weapon against you filthy bloodsuckers" Then both of them run away to protect the vault, leaving us in the same spot.

Oh, now I get what he means. And now I get why our dad 'Vincent' wants us to get this thing urgently. Now we have to get it because it's dangerous.

"This is all your fault, I told you not

to touch those people" Zachary sternly told me.

"Well, I didn't know exactly," I simply shrugged, not really caring. Zachary stepped in front of me invading my personal space he is looking at me madly his eyes were turning in a dark shade of red, he was about to punch me. It doesn't really bother me because Zachary knows that he's no match for me. After all, I have the advantage and I am much stronger than him.

Claude stepped in between them, breaking up the fight that wouldn't end well with Zachary.

"Guys, guys, this is not the time to fight, let's just get what we came for here" Claude put both of his hands between us and pushed us away from each other. Zachary calmed down immediately and read his mind I smirked. his eyes were turning back into their normal color which is brown, and look at the both of us.

"You are such a pain in the ass you know that," Zachary told me, his feature was a lot calmer now than before.

"I know but you still love me brotha," I told him with a smile, I know I'm a bitch sometimes but I both love my friends because they are like a brother to me.

Our conversation was cut short when we heard loud bangs from outside. And from the scent, we know that his packs were already here.

Damn it.

One wolf attacked us from the back but Zachary easily broke his neck, making the others howled loudly.

"Shit" Claude cursed under his breath as he just finished ripping out the heart of one of the wolves that was attacking him "There are so many of them, we can't handle that much, we need to act fast"

Claude is right. More wolves made their way inside as we fight the others, even though we are much stronger than the wolves, we can be easily defeated by this amount of number that they have.

"Let's go, I know where they went," I told them after I finished out two wolves by tearing their heads off.

I hold both of their arms then I started running through the hallways and in just a blink we are in the vault. There are only two wolves guarding it, and we know it's Jerry and that one wolf from earlier.

"Are we going to kill them?" Claude asked.

"Yeah if they attack us, but let's just go and talk to them first, I know dad doesn't want us to kill the alpha's of the wolves because they are going to hunt us down forever and that will cause more chaos," Zachary said making us both nod in understanding. But I was always confused at father's rules, we can kill the other wolves but not the alpha? Bullshit right? But nonetheless, we are going to stick to Zachary's plan of talking to them.

"Take another step or we will attack you" I heard Jerry's thoughts.

"Lame threat, but we are only here to talk to you, we are not going to attack you, we just wanted that thing inside the vault, because our father said it belongs to us, vampires." I explained to him in a casual tone, Zachary nudge me he is giving me a look saying 'be gentle'

"Why are we going to believe that bullshit when you already executed half of our pack," He said through his mind letting me read it.

"Come on just let us have it, if you don't want to die miserably just hand it to us, we promise we will leave soon as we get it," Zachary said with an irritated voice. He was getting impatient.

"So much for be gentle" I whispered at him and he nudged me then he told me to shut up.

"Take it or leave it Jerry" Zachary scoffed, the wolves look at each other then they nodded. In just a few seconds they started charging at us. Mister Jerry attacked the two but Claude already made him sleep by hitting him in the weak point of his neck but, he didn't kill him clearly he just made him sleep.

"Bad choice dog" I bluntly said out loud as I caught the boy right in his neck, I throw him back to the door of the vault making a loud thud I can hear him whine. He couldn't stand up because he broke his leg, I went beside him again and pinned him down to the floor "I want to play with you much longer, but we don't have much time because the other dogs are on the way here" that was the last thing I said before I used the claws of my hand to rip his heart out from his chest, he was shrieking loudly in pain and in a few seconds his body went limp.

"Come on let's get it already" I shouted for them, they are busy tying up the alpha, but after they finished they ran beside me.

I kicked the door vault open, it opened easily since I used a lot of force. As soon as the door our eyes landed on the small dark box it was the only thing in the vault.

"Is this it?" I asked as I took the box, I tried to shake it because I'm curious what's inside it, but Zachary yanked it away from my hands and secure it in his bag.

"Don't play with it, and we are going to know what's inside this later so shove your curiousness down in your ass" Zachary scolded, and I raised my hand up in surrender "Come on let's leave this place we finally got what we wanted"

We ran out of the building and saw a bunch of wolves waiting for us outside we just pass through them since we are much faster than them. Finally, we got out alive, we all looked at the town one last time before disappearing forever. We left no trace, but we know that Jerry and a few of the wolves will remember our faces. But that doesn't matter because in a million years they wouldn't find us, they'd be already dead before they got a chance to find us.

We are just glad that we finally got what our dad wants.

PRESENT DAY

ASHTER STARR

"Are you nervous honey?" Thalia asked. That was my mom who was speaking. We have moved to a small town called Swanford. I never heard about this town but it was a very small town with only a few populations of people. For me, that was a relief for an introvert like me.

Since I was a little kid my family has been moving around to a lot of places because my father is always getting a promotion to some weird places, as growing up I was getting angry sometimes because we keep on moving but eventually I got used to it. The only time I remember enjoying moving and going to different places and school is when I was still a kid. Where you could just get a friend in just a second. not in high school though. It's much harder to connect with people in high school

"No mom, I'm not nervous" I lied. lying is much easier to avoid too many questions. but to be honest I was a little nervous.

"That's good my princess, I'm just worried, you know moms" She chuckled while she grabs my shoulders giving them a squeeze before handing me a paper bag that contains my lunch and snacks.

"I'm fine mom really" I gave her a small smile before turning to my dad who is named Oliver. My dad and I aren't that close because he is always away for work or something, unlike my mom he wasn't that emotional and he wasn't showy to his feelings.

"Good luck kid" He gave me a tight hug and he kissed my forehead "Anyways I'm not driving you today... because we have a gift for you"

"Please don't tell me it's a bike" I joked lightly as my dad took my hand and drag me outside, my mom was blindfolding me by using her hands. "Mom is this necessary? you don't need to blindfold me I'm not a kid anymore"

"Just trust us sweetie we are already outside" I heard my mom said. she was also guiding me with every step I take.

"Okay, we are here" Both my parents said in unison as we stopped at somewhere I can't see.

"I'm going to remove it now" My mom squealed as she removed her palms that was blocking my eyes as we stood outside in our garage, I was confused at first but when my eyes landed on a brand new Black Chevy Camaro my eyes widen and my jaw dropped to the floor.

"No way" I stood there frozen in my place, my mind and my body couldn't process what is happening yet.

"Yes way" My mom smiled. She is clearly happy to see my reaction.

"This is our gift to you since you passed your driving test last month I figure to give you something you always want and you earned it because you are always giving your best in your schools," Oliver said grinning from ear to ear clearly happy that I was happy for their gift.

"Oh my god shut up...I mean I'm sorry...this is mine? like mine mine?" I stuttered making my parents laugh at the sudden lack of my language, of course, I am still not believing that they bought me my dream car.

"Yes, it is all yours, enjoy kiddo," My dad said as he handed me the key to now my own car. as they gave me one last hug before they went inside our house.

"Ohh my gosh my baaaaaby" I cooed at my car. I ran my hand on the lid of the car as I walked to the driver's seat. I placed my bag in the passenger seat as I got in I turned my beautiful baby on. It roared to life making it music to my ears and a smirk formed on my lips.

The drive to the school was pretty neat because it's a very smooth ride and there is no traffic, unlike in my previous schools where my dad and I always get stuck in horrible traffic making our heads hurt from the beeping's and shouting, so far I am liking this town, it's so quiet and peaceful.

Finally, after a few minutes, I arrived at the school. I got out getting my bag from the passenger seat and I was getting nervous every second I step inside the building. I felt a lot of eyes on me as I continued to walk to the office to get my schedules and stuffs. I heard some whistle from the boys which I ignored because I always get that a lot every time I move to other schools, not to brag but to be honest I am good looking...

Finally, after walking through the hallway I reached the office. I entered and an old woman sat at her table typing in her computer.

"Uhm excuse me.. hi?" I interrupted politely making her look up at me and she gave me a warm smile.

"Oh hello sweetie, I'm sorry I didn't see you there I was busy typing the schedules and announcements, is there anything you need sweetheart?" She delightfully asked. Back in my old schools usually the secretaries are mean and rude for no reason, so this kind of person is rare, we don't see that every day.

"Yes miss, actually I am new here and I'm not so sure where I am supposed to go..." I answered politely.

"Oh yeah, right you are the new student I remember. Starr right? we don't get many new students here surprisingly" She chuckled and rose up to her seat to look in the cabinets.

"Here we go miss Ashter Starr, that is a lovely name" She smiled at me and I reciprocated it.

"Thank you, Miss..." I squinted my eyes through her name tag "Miss Teresa"

"Anyways I don't want to hold you for too long, here's your folder with all of your schedules and everything you need" She handed a brown folder to me as she went near the office phone and dialed a number.

"Thank you miss Teresa" I opened up the folder she gave to me and I see all of my classes in one pocket and the other one held my I.D and my biography and some information about the school.

"Hello, please send miss Aliana down, we have a new student and I need her to show the new student around" I looked up and silently thanking Miss Teresa again, and went back to look at my schedules again. Not to brag again but as a smart kid, I didn't have to take all of the required core classes I was suppose to take. instead, I got electives of my choice to fill them in.

After a few minutes, a black haired short girl walked in with a smile on her face. "Hi, Ms. Teresa nice to see you again how's your day?"

"It's going well so far thank you for asking Aliana"

"That's good for you Ms. Teresa" The smaller girl answered with a big smile on her face "So where is the new student?"

"She's right here sweetie," Teresa said while pointing at me. The smaller girl landed her eyes on me and her smile widen.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I didn't see you there gosh," She said apologetically "Which is weird because you are way taller than me"

"It's okay don't worry about it" I brushed it off.

"Okay so welcome to Swanford High, I'm Aliana by the way I'm the school president" There was her bright smile again. President? Huh she is so small but people do look up to her.

"President? oh my god, am I supposed to bow at you or something? god, I'm sorry" I rambled and proceed to bow in front of her which made her and Teresa laugh.

"What an odd girl" Teresa shook her head lightly they are still laughing while I am here confused.

"No you don't need to do anything silly, I'm not the principal, I am only the president" She informed me, which I immediately felt embarrassed because of my stupidity.

"Oh right... sorry" I told her while scratching the back of my head. I do that when I feel embarrassed.

"I am Ashter by the way," I said as I stretch my hands out to her.

"No need to be sorry though, anyways It's nice to meet you Ashter," She told me as she shook my hand "We'll off we go thank you Ms. Teresa" She waved her goodbye and I did it too before we exit the office. I was glad this girl is happy to go lucky. Usually, people will get me irritated and make me think that I want to punch them. but with her, it's different because she is giving out happy vibes.

So far I am loving this school.

"Okay so first your homeroom" She clapped her hands together as she stopped walking and turned to me.

"Can I see your schedule? If you don't mind though?" She asked nicely

"Yeah sure," I said with no hesitation I handed her the folder which contains my schedules and stuffs.

"Nice you have Mrs. Lopez" She smiled "She's a great teacher and she is really nice but she expects you to do your best. Her classroom is right over there" Aliana directed me to the room and thankfully it wasn't too far from the main doors. It would be easier to remember and I wouldn't get lost tomorrow.

"Next you have Math with Mr. Sean, also very nice but tends to yell a lot, so don't do anything stupid" She giggled making me laugh too.

"By the way don't mind the boys around here that will come up to you considering you are a new shiny toy as of right now" She warned me causing me to chuckle a bit.

"I wouldn't worry about that because I'm not planning on getting hit on" I responded with a smirk. I don't really like relationships because they suck and they will just make you heartbroken.

"Good because there are a lot of fuck boys in here" She grimaced and I nodded. The bell rang and I saw everyone scurry to their classes.

"Okay, you ready for your first day?" She asked while walking me to my homeroom.

"Yeah I am but to be honest I'm a little nervous but I'll be fine I'm used to it" I shrugged as she gave me my folder back and I took it.

"You will be fine," She told me as she patted my shoulders, a huge grin plastered on her face.

"Thank you Aliana, thank you so much, if it wasn't for you I would be all over the place," I told her gratefully.

"No problem, I'm really glad I helped you, just tell me when you need anything my locker is 0187. but I will tell you I'm a little busy after this period but I can try to rush to meet you again if you want?" She offered.

"No it's okay, I got it from here" I thanked her again for the last time before walking into the classroom. Immediately everyone's eyes were on me. I can hear others whistle and some even look at me up and down looking like they want to devour me. I rolled my eyes and walked to the teacher.

"It's nice to meet you, sweetie, just take a seat to an empty spot right there" She pointed at my seat. I smiled before proceeding to my seat.

Like Aliana had warned me. A lot of guys turned to me asking for my number and if I need anything they will help me and stuff.

"Okay class let's start. Leave the poor girl alone Carl and get to your seat" The teacher sighed as she proceed to write some stuff on the board before going in front of the class to begin the lesson.

Oh well here goes a long boring ass day...

"You didn't get to class again?!" Vincent yelled as he saw me sitting in the living room watching documentaries on the TV.

"No, what I am going to do there? Besides I graduated centuries ago" I deadpanned. School is boring and I don't want to keep going in that boring lame ass school.

"Don't be exaggerated that was only years ago" Vincent said as he took the remote from the coffee table and turn the TV off making me groan.

Vincent sat beside me and give me a knowing look. Which I know that he is going to scold me again.

"You need to keep on going in classes because we need to blend in so we can keep on hiding" Vincent patiently told me which made me shocked because I expected that he will shout at me again.

"Look just follow your brother's, I mean your best friends... Go with them at school, you guys are supposed to be with each other, not leaving them behind" Vincent added before he went to the kitchen leaving me alone.

I look at the clock to see if I still could get to school, I saw that it was seven thirty am, I could still make it to the second class if I leave now.

"Fine," I sighed in defeat as I went upstairs to get my backpack and to put some hoodie on.

"I'm leaving for school" I shouted to the kitchen.

"That's good" Vincent popped out in the living room with a small smile on his face.

"Whatever" I muttered to myself before going into the boring ass lame school.

ASHTER STARR

I thank god because finally, it was lunchtime. I am so starving. After all those lectures and learning, it could really make a person drain and hungry.

I walked into the cafeteria even though I have my own lunch I still want to try foods from here. I saw more stares. It's was kind of a normal thing for me now and it was getting more annoying.

Then my eyes landed at a small girl who is waving at me which is Aliana which made me felt relief because I don't have to eat alone.

"Hey, Ashter how is your day going so far?" She asked and I brushed it off because nothing interesting really happened but I answered her anyway.

"It's alright, the teachers are cool and kind but the guys and the whistling are annoying me to the bones," I told her which made her giggle.

"Anyways do you want me to show you where you could get the food?" She offered politely.

"Yeah, sure I will only buy some drinks because I already have my lunch," I told her, and she immediately drag me to the beverage section.

We went in the line and I was amazed, they all have the kinds of drinks that I like. I grabbed my stuffs and paid for them. I got myself a carton of milk because it will go well with my lunch which is a turkey sandwich and I also took a bottle of water for later whenever I felt thirsty.

After I paid for everything I went back to sit with Aliana. But I walked slowly when I saw that the table is now packed. I felt a little bit awkward thinking about where would I sit right now. Aliana noticed my discomfort and smiled at me.

"Hey don't worry they are nice and they don't bite" She chuckled before she grabbed my arm and lead me to the table, making everyone's eyes landed on me again. "Guys, this is Ashter, be nice to her okay? she is new"

A tall brunette stood up and greeted me.

"I'm Sophie," She said, I stretch out my hand to her but she gave me a warm hug instead, making me smile. "It's nice to meet you, anyways you have my back now tell me if anyone messes with you"

That made me smile because it's nice to hear when someone has your back especially when I just got here. She patted my back and directed me next to her and Aliana's seats.

Everyone introduced themselves and it was nice. turns out they are all seniors including Aliana and they are all part of the student government except Sophie. Also, only Sophie and I are sophomores.

After a few minutes lunch finished and we all parted ways to go in our classes I'm sad because Sophie had a different schedule than mine, the only time we both got classes together is when it's chemistry. I decided to leave that thought as I entered the class.

I walked to the teacher, we greeted just like the others and of course, she assigned me a seat.

It was five minutes before the class when the door open widely.

"What's up my people!" The person who almost wrecked the door yelled. A tall dark skinned woman walked in with two boys behind her like they are her bodyguards. I was stunned by her beauty because she looks like a goddess and also by those boys they also look like they are a sculpture of god.

"Hey, Jane!!"

"What's up hot stuff"

"What's up supermodel" and more people greeted back at this funny girl. I'm guessing she is famous around here because people are literally greeting and praising her.

The teacher let out a small laugh "You will be sitting next to Jane"

I nodded and made my way over to the loud girl. I was near my seat when another guy stopped me in my tracks.

"Hey what's up pretty face, I'm Jake" He introduced himself with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Uhm hi," I said with a bored tone before moving again to go to my seat but he grabbed my wrist.

"Wait don't leave yet, I didn't even catch your name"

"It's Ashter, now please can you let me go to my seat" I irritatingly said, I was losing my patience now because I keep getting stopped every time with this motherfuckers.

"Come on let's talk for..."

"Does she have to tell you twice? leave the girl alone Jake and get your ass out of here you don't have a seat in here" I heard a familiar voice behind him which comes from the girl earlier. She stood up like she is ready to strangle the guy.

"Alright sorry, my queen" He muttered before making his way back to his seat which is only a few chairs away sadly.

The bell rang finally and I sighed.

"Thank you:" I mumbled to the girl next to me as the teacher started to began her lesson.

"No problem, that asshole is always annoying so don't mind him" She answered while patting my back "Anyways I'm Jane, Jane Baker"

"Yeah, I've heard you're quite famous around here huh?" I smiled which made her chuckled "I'm Ashter, Ashter Starr, by the way, thanks again for saving me, I'm getting tired of these boys"

"Oh yeah right I've heard about you you are the new girl," She told me, "You are like a shining new toy here because we don't get many new students plus you are pretty good looking"

"You are not so bad yourself Miss Jane" I complimented her, which made her hair flipped right into my face.

"Yeah of course you know me" She let out a small laugh which made me giggle a bit. I like this girl's attitude she is super friendly.

"Anyways these two are my friends they are a bit shy but they are nice people, this is Zachary and Claude" She pointed her hands at the two boys who were sitting next to her. They waved at me in unison and smiled then they go back to listening to the teacher.

"Girls" The teacher called out to stop us from chit-chatting

"I'm sorry Miss Julie you can go on" Jane politely said and the teacher mumbled a thank you before continuing her interrupted lesson.

In the middle of the lecture, the door opened widely again which made me jolt up in my seat because I am almost falling asleep. A very tall boy with his blue hoodie up walked in.

"I'm glad you finally decided to join us Mr. Lockwood" The teacher sarcastically said, the whole class was quiet. He walked up to the teacher without saying anything and gave her a note before quickly walking to his desk which is only a few chairs from me because he is sitting in the middle of Zachary and Claude.

The teacher didn't seem to care the boy was late, as if it was a normal thing.

"Okay as I way saying-" I blocked the teacher out as I continued watching the boy. I was intrigued because he is the first boy in this school that doesn't look at me like I am some piece of a new toy. he didn't even look at my way...

Jane was talking to him but he had his head down. but I could see him responding back because of the movement of his shoulders.

"Oh don't mind Damien back here," Jane told me. "He's just not too fond of people but he is my friend though"

Jane and I made a lot of small talks, in that small amount of time we became good friends it was like she was my long lost friend.

Class finally ended and I got up from my seat to see the boy sprint out with his friends except for Jane. I frowned my eyes at the boy. I shrugged and leave my thoughts

"Alright pretty face see you later," Jane said as we went opposite directions. I waved goodbye at her before I walk to my next class.

Finally, after a long day, I made it to my last hour. Only to find the boy sitting there with his head down again and his hoodie up. Surprisingly, the boy that I was watching the whole time was in seven out of my 9 classes with me. I hate the fact that he is not approachable. I wanted to talk to him for some reason.

All day I wanted to avoid everyone and just get this day over with, but then he came suddenly it change. it's like I needed him to desperately notice me.

The final bell rang much to my disappointment and the boy immediately stood up and started walking away again. I sighed as I added to my mental note to ask Jane about him.

I left the room and headed outside almost everyone is pilling up ready to leave.

"Hey Ashter I heard a person yelled behind me, I turned around to see Aliana trying to catch up with me. "Geez, why do you have to walk so fast my small legs can barely keep up."

"Sorry, Aliana. I didn't know you were following me," I gave her an apologetic look which she brushed off. Then I saw to the corner of my eye that Claude, Zachary, and the boy Damien were in front of a car talking. I couldn't clearly see his face because he is always cover up with that hoodie. I couldn't even tell what his hair color is.

"What are you staring at?" Aliana asked. I made quick eye contact with her as I quickly landed them back to the tallboy. Aliana followed my gaze and her face fell anxious

"Oh, him? that's Damien," She said her voice somewhat bored and uninterested

"Yeah I know, I had a few classes with him and he is very quiet," I told her, making her look at me seriously.

"I suggest to be careful around him and those boys" She advised. I frowned. careful of him? and the other boys? He wasn't even looking my way and I never have interacted with him. Also, those two boys are nice I could tell because I have interacted with them earlier.

"Why though? I interacted with those two boys they seemed nice, but Damien I never because he is always sprinting away to people" I said confused as I watch them leave each of them has their own car.

"Trust my they don't" Sophie entered our conversation "One time that Damien guy almost killed a kid in here because he touched him, Damien's reason is he didn't want to be touched, it's like he can easily break things"

"Their only friend that is cool Jane" They both said in unison.

"Yeah I know her I met her earlier and we easily clicked," I told them, but I am still confused as to why should I stay away from those boys? are they some kind of gang or something?

"Yeah we know her too and she is really cool and she is really famous around here, that's their only friend that they allow to their group, back then it was always just the three of them"

"Why?" Was the only thing running through my head. yes, he hurt someone, but maybe he really didn't like anyone touching him because he had an abusive past and maybe he is traumatized. maybe he is just protecting himself.

"Well, besides being able to crush everything they are also kind of weird and they are super pale, and they only go to school when the sun is not out weird right?" Sophie filled me in with the information about those three.

"So what if they are weird? we all have a lot of weirdness inside us, like me, I am weird too.." I trailed off, I didn't know why did I defend them I didn't even know them.

"No, it's not like that. but you are right we all have weirdness inside us and we are not trying to say they are a bad person but there's really something not right about them, especially Damien... They are not..."

"Ordinary" Sophie finished for Aliana because she seems like she doesn't want to continue.

"What do you mean they are not ordinary?" I asked getting more confused as a lot of questions go around my head.

"We'll talk to you tomorrow and explain everything to you," She said before they both left in separate cars.

I sighed and brush my hand through my hair in stress. I decided to leave since I am the only one left in the parking lot. I walk to my car and I felt like there is someone watching me so I turn around but it's empty and no one is around as the buses full of students left.

Weird feeling but I tried to ignore it and proceed to go to my car and drive away to the empty school parking lot.

I looked back in my mirror only to see someone standing a few miles away from me before they disappeared into the woods...

I felt goosebumps all over my body as I pressed the gas pedal driving as fast as I can because I was scared...

Who the fuck is that standing there watching me.....
