As it is my first time writing a story it is difficult if there is no support. Though I know how the story is to be I just get lost in between not knowing what to write to connect it with what should happen next.

I am a 12th grader, whose exams are near and has to learn A LOT, so sometimes I may not upload the chapters regularly but I ensure you that I wont stop writing the complete story will be there but please be patient with me as I also have a life outside this writing.

*Third person POV (from Katherine's parents side)

"Damien, you know how devastated Kat is going to be. How am I supposed to tell this to her? And what about Ryder? Do you think they will take this well?" says her mother, Nina Marshal.

"What else am I supposed to do, Nina? Yes, I am well aware of the fact that this piece of news is going to make those two devastated and they being them they will do whatever they can to stop this. But they are kids they don't know the seriousness of this problem and will show their defiance at first but as they grow, they will cope up with it maybe even forget about this. Am sure Ryder's family can make him understand the situation. We just have to make sure Kat comes along." says her father, Damien Black.

"Kat and Ry might be just 6 and 9, but they are too smart for their age. I can't tell them this news you are good in handling her so you will tell her this."

"Okay sweetheart, you just continue the packing so by the time they come back we can tell her this and start moving before she throws her tantrums. We can't do anything but move from here it's a matter. Forget about our safety, which we don't care, I know, but Kat's. We did all this to save her. We can't go back now."

"Hmm."

*Third person POV (from Katherine and Ryder's side)

"So, Randy, as I was saying, she started badmouthing you so I couldn't handle it. That's why I pulled her hair. Do you think our parents will know about this? We need to come up with something so we can escape and put her into more trouble and-"

"Kitty Kat, don't worry whatever happens next, I will be there to protect you," says Ryder interrupting Katherine's rambling.

"Hah you will be there to protect me when you are there what happens when you are not-"

"That won't happen ever, I will always be by your side protecting you, caring you and loving you. Promise," says Ryder, covering Kat's mouth before she says anymore.

Katherine blushes from hearing these words and Ryder has that stupid smirk on his face which Katherine loves, but it also annoys her so she licks his hands to remove his smirk.

"Yuck!! Why did u do that, Kat? And pleeeease stop calling me Randy how many times do I have to tell you that?"

"Why did u have to keep your stupid hand over my mouth and you knooooow you love it when I call you Randy and I think we have a deal, don't we? When you stop calling me that stupid nickname you have for me I will stop calling you Randy though I will miss calling you that."

"How can I not call my cat kitty? You have that paw of the cat with which you scratch. Stop doing that maybe I can think of not calling you kitty anymore." By saying so Ryder runs knowing that the next thing Kat does will be to scratch him, which he likes secretly cause she only does that to him.

"You!!!". And goes Katherine, running behind Ryder.

"Randy, stop, I won't do anything to you." says Kat panting.

"Promise?"

"Promise." says Kat.

"Okay, then here." Ryder extends his hand, and Kat links her arms with his, giggling.

They stop in front of her house. They feel something off about the atmosphere.

"Did you feel it, Ry?"

"Hmm."

"Do you think they know?"

"Let's go in and see what is to come."

Kat holds Ryder's hand tightly and enters her house. They are welcomed by her father, who by the looks proves them right.

"Dad, what's wrong?"

"I have always known my daughter to be the smartest."

"Daddy, I swear it was she who started it. She said many bad things about Ry, so I couldn't handle it. I only tried to make her mouth shut by grabbing her hair. Nothing more."

"You did what? When did this happen?"

"Just now that's why we came home early so you would hear it from us first but-"

"Wait, a second. If Mr. Black knew about this now, what were about to tell us?" asks Ryder.

"Ryder, I have told you many times to call me Damien. Anyway, leave what I was about to tell you and now let's focus on what you just did. Katherine Marshal haven't I told you many times not to resolve your problems by fighting why couldn't you solve it like a good smart girl you are?"

"Dad, Carol started it by swearing on me I forgave it but she was planning from the start to get me to harm her and I knew it but when she brought Ryder's name into the conversation, I forgot everything but then I gave her 3 chances to forgive but she didn't instead she swear more and that's when I thought to make her shut by using violence."

"And I believe I made you in charge of her to not use violence as an option to end an unpleasant conversation." Damien asks Ryder.

"I tried to stop her but when carol called Kat terrible words, I couldn't help it but be proud of Kat standing for herself." says Ryder while looking at Kat proudly. Seeing the way Ryder looked Katherine made Damien smile. But Damien quickly composed himself, thinking of the matter yet to be told.

"Katherine, you will say sorry to her before we leave." says Damien

"Leave? To where dad?" says Kat excitedly. It's been long since they have gone out together and she is very excited about going out with her parents.

"That is what I was going to tell to you at first. Sweetheart, we are leaving to see Amanda."

"Really!!! When dad?"

"Now, sweetheart."

"Okay Dad, I will go start packing." Saying so, she runs towards the stairs.

"For how long will you be gone Mr... uh. Uncle?"

"Well, that sounds better than you calling me Mr. Black. We won't be returning, son."

"Whhaaaaaaat!!!!"

*Katherine's pov (it will be kat's until said otherwise)

"Whhaaaaaaat!!!!" I screech and run down the stairs.

"Sweetheart slow down, you will hurt yourself. Sorry to disappoint you but I have to go there to... uh... help uncle Nick."

But why do we have to stay there, dad? Why can't we come back? All these years uncle nick handled things by himself and you helped him occasionally while staying here. Why now we have to stay there?"

"Sweetheart, some questions are better unanswered." Dad turns to Ry."Ryder, son, go back to your parents they will explain things to you. After you have grown older, come visit us."

"But un-" "No buts. Son, go home." Ry was interrupted by dad and forces him to go to his house.

"I am ready with suitcases." Announces mom after arriving to the hallway where we were standing.

"Mom, you knew about this too why didn't you tell this to me. Why did no one tell anything to me?"

"Sweetheart go wash yourself and wear the dress I picked out for you it will look cute on you."

"Mom, don't change the subject." By now tears started building up in my eyes.

"Don't you want to see your best friend?" I nod with tears falling from my eyes.

"Sweetheart I know this might be hard for you but right now we don't have any other option before us when you grow up you will understand why. Now go and wash yourself and come down." I ran upstairs after knowing there's nothing that can change my parents' decision.

Why are they doing this to me? They know that I love Ryder and I can't leave him. Why do they have to be so cruel?

I get into the bathroom and let my tears join the water falling on me. When there are no more tears left, I get out from my bathroom and saw the dress my mom has picked up for me. My favourite pink umbrella type frock that has square neckline, with flower patterns on upper half. This is the frock Ryder gifted me with his piggy bank money. When I asked what he is saving his money for he said it is for buying something for his most important person. I fought with him for over a week because he is said it is not for me when I asked him. Thinking about all that made me cry even more.

After crying a lot, I got ready after wiping my face with the wet cloth because every time I thought to clean my face after crying, new tears started forming by the mere thought of not seeing Ryder again. On my brunette hair, I wore a pink hair band that has a little pink flower on it; I wore matching earrings and a small chain that my mom prepared and finished it by wearing the bracelet that Ryder made by himself for me. Gosh! how jealous was I when I saw him with a bracelet near a girl. Apparently it was with the trash stuffs of her doll he made the bracelet. I felt new set of tears forming in my eyes remembering that incidence. I got to stop crying like a baby and be a little matured though I am just 5 years old. Aren't I one?

With a sigh, I went down the stairs and saw my parents already ready and were waiting for me. When my mom saw me with big red puffy eyes, she had tears in her eyes but kept it from falling and retained her composure and opened the door for me I walked out the door without saying a word.

"You have eaten nothing as you went out to play, so I have packed the food. We can eat when we are on the road." says my mom behind me. Neither did I hum nor did I say anything cause I was too angry with my parents for not saying anything, knowing that I wouldn't be able to see my Ryder anymore makes me even more sad.

I got into the car silently. My dad was watching me the entire time but said nothing. And so, we started this horrible journey to New York after my mom got seated beside my dad. I know I should be happy that I get to see my bestie, but the thought of not seeing Ryder is the only thing in my mind and so it filled the entire journey with an awkward silent.

"Kattyyyy." yells my bestie and ran towards me.

"Mandy." I call out half happy and half sad and walk towards my bestie. She noticed the unhappiness on my face but didn't mind it. I thought she would ask a lot of questions about that, but all she did was hug me and I return the hug but tightly.

Later she asked questions on that and I told her everything. Finally, dad promised me he would take to Ryder someday.
