The unforseen fate

Johanna's pov

Excitement is an understatement for how I am feeling right now. Today is the day my boyfriend and I finally move in together. I couldn't even sleep last night, my best friend Gina had to literally force me to sleep. Let me give you a little info about my life. My name is Johanna Payne, 22 year old unemployed graduate living with my best friend Gina Matthew. My mum died while giving birth to me and my dad died when I was 14 and ever since my elder brother William has been my guardian angel. Now to my loving boyfriend, Luke and I have been dating for more than 3 years and he was my first everything. Earlier this week, he got a place of his own and asked me to move in with him, I was so thrilled coz I know that would further strengthen our relationship. My brother is not happy with that development but after much pleading, he gave his consent.

On to the present day, my bags were packed since last night. I woke up this morning at exactly 4am, didn't sleep much due to my excitement but that is not a problem. I went to bathroom to get my morning business done, then put on a blue slit off shoulder gown that Luke bought for me on my last birthday. While dressing up, I perceived a sweet aroma and I knew Gina was up to... I went out of my room to meet her. Gina was in the kitchen preparing pancakes and scrambled egg.

"Goodmorning Gee", I greeted Gina with a hug. "Morning Jo, someone seems overly excited this morning", she replied with a smirk plastered on her face. I gave her a tongue out reply and then joined her in setting the table so we can have our breakfast.

"Damn girl, I am gonna miss your delicious pancakes every morning" I said with a mouthful of food. "Ewwww, at least swallow your food before you talk", she replied in mock annoyance. "Anyways I am gonna miss you so much, this house is gonna be so boring without you", she was getting a little emotional while talking and I saw a glimmer of tears in her eyes. I walked up to her and we hugged each other. "I am not moving out of the city or very far away. We will still get to see each other regularly ", I said trying to console her. While we were in our emotional state, there was a knock on the door. "That must be Luke", I said while going to open the door. My boyfriend stood there looking as devishly handsome as ever. We have been dating for years now but I still get starstruck whenever I see him. "Hey babe", Luke said, bringing me out of my starstruck moment. I smiled at him while hugging me, we had a light kiss before stepping inside. Gina wasn't there when we went inside. Luke followed me to my room and was helping me pack my stuff. Gina came outside when we were almost done. Her eyes were red and bloodshot and I knew she had been crying. I had tears in my eyes when I took in her appearance. "Baby girl, you are making me feel bad for leaving, I will miss all our moments together but I promise we would still be seeing each other regularly", We hugged each other like it was our last moments on earth. Gina and I have been friends for over 6 years and she is like the sister I never had. It was so emotional saying goodbye to her. I finally went to the car to meet my boyfriend.

"Why are you both acting like someone is dying", he said with a hint of annoyance. For unknown reasons he and Gina never liked each other. I gave him a stink eye, "You would never under the emotions of saying goodbye to my bestie". He scoffed and said "more like see you later". I didn't say anything more. The drive was not long and we stopped in front of a beautiful apartment. The surroundings was really lovely. We stepped into the house and there hung a banner saying 'welcome home babe'. I turned back and I saw luke smiling while stretching his hand and giving me a rose, don't even know when he got that. I jumped on him while kissing him. He smiled and kissed me back. "I love you babe", I said in between kisses. "I love you more and I am so glad that you agreed to move in with me. Wait until you see our room. You are gonna be so thrilled". At this moment I felt so happy and satisfied.. I was living the dream life and nothing could ruin that.

True to Luke's words, the bedroom was really amazing. Hung above the wall close to the bed was a huge picture frame of Luke and I smiling while staring at each other. This picture was taken during our third anniversary and it happens to be my favourite picture of us. Other of our pictures in smaller frames were hung on the wall too. Luke helped me unpack and said he had something to take care of and he will be back soon. Since there was nothing to do, I decided to do a mini tour of the house. The house had two bedrooms, the master's room which we currently occupy and the guest room.

There was a mini study room close to our room. A smile appeared on my face when I noticed that Luke bought all my favourite books and placed them in the bookshelf. The kitchen was portable and dazzling clean. After my tour, I stayed in the Sitting room and decided to call my baby girl, the phone continued ringing but she wasn't picking up. Sent her a text message after I tried to unsuccessfully call her the third time. I went to the kitchen to prepare something to eat. The unpacking and mini tour made me a little tired and hungry. I saw left over pizza in the refrigerator and I just reheated it.

My phone started ringing a while later, I thought it was Gee calling, turned out to be my big bro. "Hello my darling brother", I greeted immediately. "Hey little sister, how are you doing", he replied with a chuckle. We talked for a long time about any and everything and I promised to visit him in a month's time. My brother works in another city but I choose to stay here and share an apartment with Gina. I went to the room to take a nap because I was tired and a little bored, Luke still hadn't returned and I called Gina again and she still did not respond. The ringing of my phone woke me up. Gina finally returned my call. "Hey bestie, sorry I missed your calls. Stepped out for a while and didn't go out with my phone", she said immediately I answered the call. "It's not a problem Gee, I just wanted to say hi to you and to tell you that we have arrived". We talked about the apartment and how much we were missing each other. After we ended the call, I started thinking about the excuse she gave for not picking my calls, it was weird because the Gina I know is always with her phone. You barely see her without seeing the phone. I was a little surprised but I didn't think much about it because she has no reason to lie to me.

I went to the kitchen to make dinner, apparently I slept for a long while because the time is past 6pm now and Luke was still not back. I put the spaghetti on the fire and stated chopping the vegetables. Luke came in during that time and apologised for coming back late, he said he didn't know he would delay this much. I told him it was okay and he should go and freshen up, dinner would be ready before he is done. I was setting the table when he came back looking breathtaking with just shorts a fitted shirt. I couldn't resist the urge to kiss him and we made out for a while before finally eating. He helped me with the dishes while I went to freshen up.

This night was looking like our wedding night and I was really enjoying it. I wore a very sexy lace night wear and went back to the room to see my handsome boyfriend laying on the bed with his hands behind his head. He whistled when he saw me "damn babe, you are looking very hot", I smiled and winked at him giving him a 360 spin. I laid down next to him and we were talking about random things.

Soon we started making out, I always love our kisses, so sensual and pleasing. Luke has a way of always making me very special with his touches and I love that about him. He located my sweet spot between my neck and my ear and kept sucking on it. This was so pleasurable. Gently he took off my gown and I was left with just my tiny piece of panties. Johanna's POV

The rays from the sunlight woke me up. I opened my eyes and I saw that Luke was still sleeping. He looked so handsome even with his eyes closed. I continued admiring him before leaning in to give him a peck on the cheek. Oops, I might have woken him up because immediately I kissed him, he did a little stretch before opening his eyes. "Goodmorning sunshine, I could really get used to this scenario", he said while giving me a peck on the lips. "Goodmorning babe, waking up next to you is really awesome", I replied. I really felt fulfilled just seeing him next to me and I hope this would last forever. We went to the shower to get dirty and also to get cleaned up. Sex in the shower always hits differently especially when done with the one person you admire the most in the whole wide world. After spending spending quality time in the bathroom, we came out and got dressed in casual outfits. I went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast while Luke stayed in the bedroom to sort out some paperwork. I decided to make pancakes and scrambled eggs.

"Something smells lovely in here", Luke said while hugging me from behind. "Thanks babe, I am almost done cooking", I told him while making the scrambled eggs. "Okay honey, let me set the table while you are doing that". Breakfast was fun. It consisted of us eating, teasing each other, feeding ourselves and making out. While we were eating, Luke told me he might not be home early today because they have some extra work to do at the office. He told me not to wait for him before having dinner. After Luke left for work, I washed the dishes and cleaned the house. I played games on my phone and watched videos for a while. I called Gina and invited her over to the house. I sent her directions to the place and she told me she would be here in the afternoon, I was excited because that meant more girl time for us. I continued watching Netflix for hours and then there was a knock on the door. Opening the door, I saw my girl Gina with boxes of chocolates and ice cream. "Holla baby Gee", I hugged her while ushering her into the house. "Holla baby Jo, how are you doing", she replied with a huge smile on her face. "I am fine Gee, hope locating this place wasn't difficult for you", I asked her as we sat on the couch. "No it was not difficult, the cab driver knew the place, by the way this place is really lovely", said Gee. We started gisting like we have not seen each other for ages while taking our ice cream. There was always something new to talk about. Soon we started watching Step up 1 just because of hot Channing. We both have a huge crush on him. During the movie, Gina kept texting and smiling. "Who is the lucky guy that is making you smile and blush this much?" I couldn't resist the curiosity to ask. "Oh... him, he is no one special, just someone I met at the coffee shop this morning", she said while trying to hide her smile. "Oh oh, love at first sight", I teased her while she blushed harder and laughed. She left soon after the movie and we agreed to go shopping by the weekend.

After she left, I was so bored. I called babe but he wasn't picking up. So I called my brother just to disturb him for a while. We talked about his work, and I told him I wanted to start looking for a job because I didn't want to just sit at home and rely on Luke for all my expenses. Also I was feeling like a lazy housewife, who sits at home all day while waiting for her husband to return home. He laughed at my comparison but told me that my idea was a good one and he was in full support of it. He even suggested I come stay with him and he could look for a job for me over there. I told him I wasn't going to leave my babe and move to another city. William is also not a fan of Luke. I really don't understand why my best friend and my brother don't fancy the love of my life. We continued discussing about random things and also about my upcoming visit. He told me he had to go do something, so we ended the call and I went to make dinner. I know Luke said I shouldn't wait for him before eating but I planned on waiting for him.
