The night was cold and still, the full moon casting an eerie glow over the forest. The air was thick with the scent of pine and damp earth, and the sound of crickets chirping filled the silence. In the heart of the forest, a pack of Lycans had gathered in a clearing, their eyes fixed on their king.
The king, a massive beast with black fur and piercing green eyes, stood at the center of the clearing. His gaze was stern as he addressed his pack.
"In this evening's gathering, we have the pleasure of introducing a new member to our pack," he announced, his voice resonating with authority.
"This individual possesses unique and highly valued qualities, and it is imperative that we treat her with the utmost respect and honor." As he spoke, his gaze swept across the assembled members of the Wavoon pack, who had turned their attention to him.
The Wavoon pack murmured their agreement, their eyes glinting with excitement. They had not had a new member in many moons, and the prospect of welcoming someone new was thrilling.
Suddenly, the bushes at the edge of the clearing rustled, and a young she wolf stepped out. She was small and delicate, with golden fur and bright blue eyes. The wavoon pack members stared at her in awe, for they had never seen a wolf like her before.
The king approached her, his eyes locked onto hers.
"Welcome to our pack," he said, his voice softening.
"What is your name?"He asked , glaring at her .
The young wolf ,she trembled as she spoke.
"I'm Amelia ,From the greenwood pack " she said, her voice was more like a whisper.
The king nodded, his expression unreadable.
"Amelia, I am super excited to welcome you into our pack. You will be treated with the respect and dignity that all members of our pack are entitled to."The king , Edwin, spoke with an air of authority.
Her heart swelled with pride as she looked around at the pack. She had always dreamed of being a part of a pack, and now her dream had finally come true.
But her joy was short-lived. Suddenly, a voice rang out from the back of the pack.
"I object!" it said, loud and clear.
All eyes turned to see who had spoken, and her heart sank as she saw who it was. It was the king's son, handsome with dark fur and piercing blue eyes.
"I object to this new member joining our pack," he said, his voice cold and unyielding.
"She is weak, fragile and Unsupported, she will only be a burden to us."Prince Ethan said ,with his eyes fixed on the little wolf who quivers ,fear written all over her.
The king's expression hardened, and he stepped forward.
"You dare to challenge my decision?" he said, his voice low and dangerous.
Prince Ethan stood his ground, his eyes locked onto his father's.
"I do," he said, with an air of authority as the atmosphere became so quiet ,that even the sound of the birds could not be heard .
"I will not allow this weakling to bring shame to our pack."He voiced out , holding onto his shirt in an awe .
She watched in horror as the king and his son faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce battle of wills. And then, to her shock, the king spoke.
"Very well," he said, his voice resigned.
"If my son does not want this new member in our pack, then she shall be rejected."He stated , Obligated to his son.
Amelia's heart shattered as the king's words sank in. She had been so close to achieving her dream, and now it was all slipping away.
The pack watched in silence as Amelia turned and ran, tears streaming down her face. She had been rejected by the king, and her heart was broken.
She ran through the forest, her heart pounding with every step. The tears streamed down her face, and her body shook with sobs. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She had been so excited to join the Wavoon pack, and now she was being rejected.
As she ran, she heard a twig snap behind her. She turned to see the king's son, his eyes blazing with fury, running after her.
"Stop!" he shouted and then paused while trying to catch his breath.
"You can't just leave like that!"He whispered , walking closer to her.
She ignored him and continued to run. She didn't want to talk to him. She didn't want to be near him. All she wanted was to be alone.
But the prince was fast, and soon he caught up to her. He grabbed her by the arm and spun her around to face him.
"What's wrong with you?" he demanded, his face contorted with anger.
"Why are you running away?"He asked ,Facing her .They stared at each other as they felt some spark in their stomach.Their heart beating in rhyme to the dancing trees and the leaves, which waves Rapidly to their intense gaze .
Amelia glared at him, her eyes burning with fury.
"You know why," she spat.
"You're the one who rejected me."She thunder at him.She is damn angry at the prince for Rejecting her ,she knew he was her chosen Mate but she wasn't here for the mate bond and yet ,he blindly rejected her.
The prince's expression softened, and he looked away.
"I didn't mean to hurt you," he said, his voice quiet.
"I just don't think you're cut out for this life. You're too fragile."He whispers , holding her hands .
She felt a surge of anger, mix with her feelings of wanting the prince by her side
"I'm not fragile!" she shouted.
"I'm strong, and I can handle anything you throw at me!"She Added .
The prince shook his head.
"I don't believe you," he said.
"But maybe you can prove me wrong. Maybe you can show me that you're tough enough to be part of the pack."He voiced out ,his wolf part was taking the soft part of him .He couldn't suppress his feelings for his mate .
Amelia's heart skipped a beat.
"What do you mean?"she asked .
prince Ethan grinned, a wicked glint in his eye.
"I mean, we can have a little competition. If you win, you can stay in the pack. If you lose, you leave."He added , taking a quick sigh.
Amelia hesitated. She didn't want to leave the pack, but she didn't know if she could win a competition against the prince. He was strong and fast and fierce.
"What kind of competition?" she asked.
Prince Ethan grinned, Accepting her questions with a smirk .
"A race," he said.
"From here to the edge of the forest. The first one to get there wins."He said , pointing at the distance as her eyes followed the direction of his hands in an awe.
Amelia's heart sank. She wasn't a fast runner and She knew she would lose.
But she didn't have a choice. She couldn't leave the pack ,she had to try.
"Okay," she said, her voice trembling.
"I'll race you."She said with more confidence as Prince Ethan's grin widened.
"Good," he said.
"But we have to make it interesting. If you win, I'll let you stay in the pack. And if I win..."
He paused, a wicked glint in his eye.
"If I win," he said,
"I'll be your mate."
Amelia's eyes widened in shock. She had never expected that. The prince was offering to be her mate?
She hesitated, unsure. She didn't know if she wanted the prince as her mate. He had rejected her, after all. But then again, she didn't want to leave the pack. And if she won the race, she could stay.
"Okay," she said, her voice shaking.
"I accept."She said ,spanking her head backwards in horror.
The prince's grin widened.
"Good," he said.
"Let's get started."
They took their places at the starting line, and the prince counted down.
"Three... two... one... go!"
Amelia took off, her legs pumping as fast as they could go. She could hear the prince behind her, his breath hot on her neck. She ran as fast as she could, but she could feel herself slowing down.
as the prince surged ahead, his victory seeming inevitable.
She gritted her teeth and pushed herself harder, refusing to give up. She could see the edge of the forest in the distance, and she knew she had to keep going. As she ran, a sudden burst of energy surged through her, and she felt herself gaining speed. She closed the gap between herself and the prince, and then, with a burst of strength, she overtook him. As she crossed the finish line, she turned to see the prince painting behind her with a look of shock and disbelief on his face.
Amelia stood at the finish line, gasping for breath, her heart racing. She couldn't believe she had won. She turned to the prince, who was staring at her in disbelief.
"You... you won," he said, his voice trembling.
Amelia nodded, still trying to catch her breath.
"I did," she said.
Prince Ethan shook his head, a look of confusion on his face.
"How... how did you do it?" he asked.
Amelia shrugged.
"I just kept running," she said.
"I didn't want to lose."She added , satisfied at her own victory while prince Ethan, blindly mourn his lost .He stares at her as she smile whole heartledy. His heart skips a beat, after some silent ,prince Ethan nodded slowly, still trying to process what had just happened.
"I can't believe it," he said.
"I didn't think you had it in you."He commented, admiring her beautiful face which was curved in a perfect slow smile.
Amelia bristled at his words.
"You don't know me," she said.
"You don't know what I'm capable of."She said with an air of Confidence that swept her off her feet.
The prince looked at her, his eyes softening.
"Maybe you're right," he said.
"Maybe I don't know you. But I want to.
"He added, staring at her beautiful face ,their eyes still met with each other in a glimpse of pure Bliss .Soon enough Amelia looked away ,she frowned.
"What do you mean?"She asked Prince Ethan who could not spare her a glance .
The prince stepped closer to her, with his eyes intense as he created a cool sensational tension between himself and Amelia ,who blinked her eyes rapidly as her heart beat accelerated.
"I mean... I want to get to know you. I want to know what makes you tick, what makes you strong. I want to see if there's more to you than I thought." Prince Ethan speaks in-between his emotions as his wolf slowly takes dominance of his mind ,ready to pop out and meet with his mate ..
Amelia stood affixed ,she allowed the waves of spark sweep her off her feet for some time .she soon gained herself back and then she was hesitant and unsure since , she didn't know if she could trust prince Ethan . He had rejected her, after all. But then again, he was offering her a chance to stay in the pack, and maybe even a chance at a mate. She couldn't just ignore that.
"Okay," she said, her voice softening.
"I'll give you a chance."She blurted out ,staring at him with full expectancy.
Prince Ethan grinned, with a look of excitement on his face.
"Good," he said.
"But first, we have to talk to my father,"He added ,ready to take her hand.
She felt a shiver of fear run down her spine. The king? She wasn't sure if she was ready for that.
"The king?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Prince Ethan nodded.
"Yes," he said.
"He needs to know that you won the race. And he needs to decide if you can stay in the pack."He added with some confidence in his voice.
Amelia took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She followed the prince through the forest, her heart pounding in her chest.
As they approached the king's den, she could feel her nerves getting the better of her. She had never met the king before in his den and she wasn't sure what to expect.
Prince Ethan pushed aside the branches, revealing a large cave lit by torches. Inside, Amelia could see the king sitting on a throne, his eyes fixed on the entrance.
"Father," Prince Ethan said, his voice strong and fierce.
"I have news."He Said ,The king turned to look at him, his eyes narrowing.
"What's the news about?"His father asked, staring at him and Amelia .Both were holding each other like their life depended on each other .The Lycan King soon cleared his throat , causing Prince Ethan to let go of her hands .He soon stepped forward as his chest puffed out.
"Amelia won the race," he said, then paused to stare at his father .
"She beat me fair and square."He continued, watching his father's expression.
"She did?" he said. His eyes widened in surprise
As the prince nodded in affirmation.
"Yes," he said.
"And I think she deserves a chance to stay in the pack."He continues,His father paying attention to every detail .
After a long talk from Prince Ethan ,his father looks at Amelia with his eyes Appraising her.
"Is that true?" he asked.
Amelia nodded, her voice soft.
"Yes, your majesty," she said, slowly taking a pause to stare at the King waiting for his approval for her to continue with her words ,when the king nodded in admiration she took the opportunity to talk more .
"I won the race."She dropped her last line with a hard difficult breath as she waited for the king's next word.
He stood up from his throne, his eyes blazing.
"Very well," he said.
"But if you want to stay in the pack, you must prove yourself. You must show that your are fit in .I mean a wolf living among Lycans .It is quite challenging."He looks at Prince Ethan after his last words waiting for his approval, both maintain eye contact for some time until he gives his father a steady nod that shows his approval of his father's decisions.
Amelia on her part ,felt a lump form in her throat. She had expected this, but it still made her nervous and scared.
"What... what do I have to do?" she asked with her trembling voice as The king narrowed his eyes.
"You must prove yourself in battle," he said.
"We will be facing a rival pack in a week's time, and I want to see what you are made of.''He spoke up ,his voice filled with Authority.
Amelia quickly nodded, her heart racing. She had never been in a real fight before, and the thought of it terrified her. But she couldn't back down now.
"I'll do it," she said, her voice strong.
The king nodded, a look of approval on his face.
"Good," he said.
"I look forward to seeing what you can do."
With that, the king dismissed them, and the prince led Amelia out of the den. As they walked through the forest, Amelia felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had passed the first test, but she knew there would be many more to come.
Prince Ethan turned to her, with a look of excitement on his face.
"This is it," he said, taking her hands in his as he tried to make her feel comfortable while fighting her inner fears which had aroused and was taking a better part of her .
"This is your chance to prove yourself. To show everyone what you're capable of."He continues, with an intense stares at her
Amelia nodded, with a sense of determination building inside her. She was going to do whatever it took to stay in the pack, to earn their respect and their trust. And maybe, just maybe, she could even win the prince's heart.
But first, she had to survive the battle, she thought to herself letting go of the prince .
Amelia spent the next week training for the upcoming battle. The pack's warriors were tough and experienced, and they didn't go easy on her just because she was the prince's mate. They pushed her to her limits and beyond, testing her strength, ability, and endurance.
Every day, Amelia woke up before dawn and ran through the forest, dodging trees and leaping over fallen logs. She practiced fighting with both her hands and her claws, learning how to anticipate her opponent's moves and counter them with her own.
Prince Ethan was her main sparring partner, and he was just as tough on her as the other warriors. He was quick and nimble, his movements almost graceful as he dodged her attacks and countered with his own. But despite his skill, Amelia was determined to beat him. She knew that if she could defeat him, she would have proven herself to the pack.
Their sparring sessions were intense, and sometimes she would come away with bruises and scratches. But she didn't mind. She was getting stronger every day, and that was all that mattered.
As the day of the battle approached, the pack grew more and more tense. They knew that their rivals were just as strong and just as determined as they were, and they couldn't afford to let their guard down.
On the eve of the battle, the pack held a ritual to prepare themselves. They gathered around a bonfire in the center of the pack , and the king led them in a chant that called upon the power of the moon.
Amelia felt a sense of awe as she watched the pack come together in this way. They were all so different, with their own strengths and weaknesses, but in this moment, they were united. They were a pack, and they would fight together to protect what was theirs.
As the moon rose higher in the sky, the pack began to howl. Their voices rose up into the night, echoing through the forest and sending a chill down Amelia's spine. It was a haunting, beautiful sound, and she felt honored to be a part of it.
When the ritual was over, the pack dispersed to get some rest before the battle. Amelia and prince Ethan retreated to their den, and Amelia lay down beside him, feeling a sense of peace wash over her.
Prince Ethan turned to her, his eyes intense.
"Tomorrow, we will fight," he said.
Amelia nodded, her heart pounding. She knew that this would be the ultimate test, the moment when she would truly prove herself to the pack.
"I'm ready," she said, her voice steady.
Prince Ethan smiled at her, a look of pride in his eyes.
"I know you are," he said staring at her beautiful pairs of eyes
"And I'll be right there beside you, every step of the way."He reassured her. With that, they both closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep, ready to face whatever the next day would bring.
The next morning, the pack rose early, their adrenaline already pumping as they prepared for the battle. She could sense the tension in the air as she watched them gather their weapons and put on their war paint. They were ready for a fight.
The king stood at the front of the pack, his eyes scanning their ranks.
"Today, we fight for our home, for our pack, and for our honor," he said, his voice booming through the pack.
"We will not back down, we will not surrender. We will fight until our last breath, if we must."He stares at all the Lycans ,both the male and female as they were filled with seriousness all glaring back at him. They soon let out a fierce howl in response, their spirits lifted by the king's words.
Amelia stood beside the prince, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that this was it, the moment she had been training for. She could feel the eyes of the pack on her, watching to see what she was made of.
The rival pack emerged from the trees, their own war cries ringing out across the clearing. Amelia could see that they were just as fierce as her pack, their eyes glinting with a dangerous light.
The two packs charged at each other, and the air was filled with the sound of snarling, snapping jaws and pounding paws. Amelia fought with all her might, her heart racing as she dodged and weaved around her opponents.
At one point, she found herself face to face with the rival pack's alpha. He was big and strong, with a thick coat of fur and razor-sharp teeth. Amelia knew that she was outmatched, but she refused to back down.
The alpha lunged at her, but she was too quick. She dodged his attack and slashed at him with her claws, drawing blood. The alpha snarled in anger, and the two of them circled each other, waiting for the other to make a move.
Finally, the alpha lunged again, but this time, she was ready. She dodged his attack and drove her claws deep into his side. The alpha let out a howl of pain and stumbled back, giving Amelia the opening she needed to strike again. She lunged forward, sinking her teeth into his throat, and he fell to the ground, lifeless.
The rest of the pack saw what had happened, and they let out a cheer that echoed through the forest. Amelia had defeated the rival pack's alpha, proving that she was a force to be reckoned with.
The battle continued for what felt like hours, but eventually, the rival pack began to retreat. They knew that they had been defeated, and they fled back into the forest.
The pack howled in triumph, their spirits lifted by their victory. Amelia felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over her. She had proven herself to the pack, and she had earned their respect.
As the pack gathered to tend to their wound, prince Ethan approached her, with a look of admiration on his face.
"You were amazing," he said, his voice full of awe.
Amelia smiled, feeling a sense of happiness wash over her. She had won the battle, and she had won the prince's heart.
Amelia soon felt a sharp pain as the adrenaline began to wear off, she started to feel the pain of her injuries. She had taken several hits during the battle, and her body was bruised and battered. She struggled to stay on her feet as the pack began to disperse, each member heading back to their own dens to rest.
Prince Ethan noticed Amelia's discomfort and offered her a hand.
"Let me help you," he said, his voice gentle.
Amelia took his hand gratefully, feeling a rush of warmth as his touch sent a jolt of electricity through her body. She couldn't believe how much she had come to care for him in such a short amount of time.
Together, they made their way back to the den that Amelia had been assigned. It was a small, cozy space, with a comfortable bed made of soft furs and a fire burning in the hearth.
Prince Ethan helped Amelia onto the bed, his eyes full of concern.
"Are you okay?" he asked, with his voice soft.
Amelia winced as she shifted her weight.
"I'll be fine," she said, trying to sound braver than she felt.
Prince Ethan shook his head.
"Let me take a look at your injuries," he said, his voice firm.
She nodded, feeling grateful for his concern. She lay back on the bed as the prince began to examine her wounds. He was gentle, but thorough, cleaning and dressing each cut and bruise.
As he worked, Amelia felt a sense of peace wash over her. She was safe here, with the pack, and with the prince.
When prince Ethan had finished tending to her wounds, he sat down beside her on the bed.
"You were amazing out there," he said, his voice full of admiration.
Amelia smiled weakly, feeling a sense of pride at his words.
"I just did what I had to do," she said , smiling.
Prince Ethan reached out and took her hand in his, his touch sending shivers down her spine.
"I know," he said, with his soft but tender voiced
"But you did it with such bravery and skill. You're a natural warrior."He complimented her .
She felt her heart swell with happiness. She had never felt so appreciated, so valued. With prince Ethan by her side, she knew that she could conquer anything.
As the sun began to set outside, the two of them sat together, talking and laughing. They shared stories and dreams, and Amelia felt a sense of connection with him that she had never felt before.
As the night wore on, the two of them grew tired. Prince Ethan helped Amelia. get comfortable on the bed, and then lay down beside her, his arms wrapped protectively around her.
Amelia felt safe and loved in his embrace, and she knew that she had found her place in the world. With the pack, with the prince, she was home.
