The king's forever

The palace had always been a place of beauty,it had marble floors gleaming beneath the light of the chandeliers. With all these beauties described one would think that it was always filled with beautiful memories.Contrary to that the palace always has a day when the morning becomes dark as night.Unfortunately,Today was such day.The alpha king ,the mighty king of werewolves is laid in the pool of his own blood,his life slowly going away.

The blood from his wound flowed like tap and his voice not heard but slow cries of anguish.His mate,stayed there hoping that the healers would do something,her body shaking tremendously as she watched her mate kept going down and down.Please,hold on a little longer,my love .... ,you can't leave me like this.Please Moon goddess be kind to me,I have always been faithful as she desperately plead to the heavens.The king's life continue to slip away and with each passing second his breathing grew shallow .His mate hope is getting crushed as times passed on.His voice that's subtle is no longer heard ,her hands trmbled in shock as she hits her mate's body but heard no sound.She shouts more loudly,No !!!! You can't do this to me, Moon goddess where are you but before she could finish her sentence her mate breathed his last and died.By that time , soilders,beta and other guards were all gathered as tears escaped their eyes,no one cared what happened to the King all they wanted was to save him but they lost him forever.The darkness appeared again ,a repetition of pain sorrow again and the painful part is the powerlessness you feel knowing you can do nothing.

Finally tears filled the room with the healers finally announces his death .At that point, it looked like the whole world ceased in the eyes of the mate as she laughed so loud and

hysterically like one who has gone insane,she nods shaking her head as she says it's a lie,no,you can't leave me,have you forgotten your promise?She tapped the king for what seems like eternity muttering these words but when she finally hears no answer,she screamed as it seems

like the words she is about to say is stuck in her throat.She holds her heart cause it felt like it was about to faint as she gives in to darkness that's taking her.The moon goddess looked down as she nods her head in regret and disappointment.Tears escaped her eyes glistening like a silver bead under the celestial realm. Her heart.pounded in her heart as it felt like the weight of the universe is lying on her .She closed her eyes in an attempt to endure the pain she is feeling but all she sees is the picture of the mate crying,her pleading,her hopes on her ,in frustration she

opens her eyes as the tears flowed unendlessly not wanting to stop.It is like every tear the woman shed etched her heart.I am sorry,the moon goddess muttered even when she knew that the woman will not hear her.I wish I can do som... thing as she cried before continuing but the curse,the... curse is greater than me.I never meant for it to end like this.At this point,the moon goddess could not bear it again,she cried like a baby with tears flowing non stop .Just immediately Gaius enters,his face beaming with smiles and laughing loudly like one who won a lottery,just when he is about to talk and share his joy with his best friend the Moon goddess,he sees the moon goddess in tears .At once every joy in his heart disappeared .His facial appearance almost like the moon goddess herself what happened he asked ,his voice cracking and sweat all over his face as he slowly came closer to twinkle and hugged her tightly like one who is helding his life in his hands .Calm down,Gaius said!You know everything will be fine but as he said it ,the Moon goddess cried more loudly .Is it what I said ?He asked the moon goddess

but instead got her crying more loudly.He had to shut his mouth using one hand to carass her head gently as if it is an egg that would break soon as he used the other hand to carass her back gently and slowly rubbing it in a circular motion.Is it the curse again?Gaius asked so gently like more of a whisper as the moon goddess nodded unable to give him an answer.Just at that time the bell rang so loud echoing off the wall like a thunder trapped in a cage .

Signifying the time for the monthly meeting done by the gods and goddesses.This monthly meeting is always done to discuss matters pertaining to the supernaturals and humans.This meeting is beign headed by Thaddeus the Head God.The one who is seen as Almighty.His word is taken as Final.As the bell rang,Gaius still caressing the moon goddess whispers softly into her ears,I wish you can be my mate when I am hundred years old.Immediately the moon goddess stared at Gaius , hissing and her eyes.You and who,never?The moon goddess answered.This was the exact response Gaius needed from his childhood friend the Moon goddess to distract her.He then patted her gently and said, we can still beg Thaddeus."No,the moon goddess said You know he will never answer".

That's the only way,Gaius replied ,you know that's the only way.If you lose hope what do you expect your people to do,those who keep trusting in you .As Gaius said this,he pointed at the moon goddess like a mother talking to his child.Now,we have to prepare for the meeting fast ,Gaius said.As you know lateness is not a good impression for someone on a mission to beg.

With a heavy sigh,the Moon goddess gazed into Gaius eyes,a mix of uncertainty and

determination.Fine let's prepare.But.No but, Gaius immediately shut her up.For the sake of the people,we must keep going no matter how daunting the path will be.Okay,fine the moon goddess shouted as she dragged Gaius out of her chambers to prepare for the meeting.

As the moon goddess wore her clothes,her mind drifted to the joke that her childhood

friend Gaius would always cracked for her.She remembers how he will keep his eyes

looking so serious and said I wish you will be my mate.As she remembered the word mate.She remembered the werewolves and how the curse started.In every world there are rules and regulations and just like the supernaturals find their mate at 18 years,the gods also found their mate at 100 years.At this time,there is joy in heaven and a ceremony is beign held to celebrate this union.Thaddeus who is the Chief God also found his mate when he was 100 years old .Her name is Mira,the most beautiful goddess .Her eyes is like a Sparking emerald and her skin smooth with a soft hue of gold.Her skin shimmered with light of the

stars.Stories has it that Thaddeus has always secretly admired Mira and finally he had been given the opportunity to love her unconditionally.Thaddeus loved Mira so much.He never joked with her.If you want to get anything from Thaddeus ,all you need to do is to approach Mira.Their Love was made in heaven.One that even the universe could bear witness that this is love.One day something happened.

It was not long enough Mira became pregnant with twins.Thaddeus was so happy but an issue came up.The humans were having a terrible war.Even the Supernaturals were not left out in this war.Everything done by other gods to stop it proved abortive but instead the war became more intense, spiraling out of control.The once peaceful really were torn apart by violence.As the monthly meeting was beign held,The gods and goddesses voiced out their complain about the war.Every suggestions made had already been done but still the war continued.Thaddeus having no other option ,sighed and said to them I will go.I will go to earth and find out how to solve this Immediately his mate heard him,her body stiffened,her first clenched and her jaw became tight.

Mira steps out to reach out to him but stops herself from saying anything she knows she shouldn't.She immediately stood up,took permission and left .

Tears welled up in Mira eyes."Why now ?"She asked herself.Her heart tightening at each step,her breath becoming harder as she tries to control her tears.As she reached the room,she closes the door as the tears she was holding fell from her eyes.she kept crying until she fell asleep.When Mira finally wakes up,Everywhere was dark showing It's night.As she attempted to go out of the bed to wash her face and eyes which was heavy from the tears.she felt a hand holding her tightly.With the strawberry scent of the person she did not need a soothsayer to tell her it is her mate.

He gently held her back as he kissed her neck tenderly holding her gently like an egg."You know I will never do it if it's not important",Thaddeus said .I know I should have talked to you first but I was just frustrated.He kisses her again,and this time Mira turned to Thaddeus as his face looks like one crying.Okay,when are you going.Next tomorrow.What!Mira shouted as she frowned again.Don't you want me to come back fast.But I will soon deliver ,Mira argued.I will be back before then.Mira had no choice but to accept her fate. She knew that Thaddeus loved her as much as she loved him .

Before Mira could come out of her thought, Thaddeus kissed her passionately as his tongue slowly traces the outline of her lips as his hand slowly brushed against her lips.The tenderness of the kiss was filled with a promise like a reassurance.Mira melted into his embrace as she returned the kiss allowing herself to be enveloped by the safety of his arms.For a moment,Mira forgot everything ,time stood still and all that mattered was the two of them buried in a bond that can never be broken.He cupped her face as he said I love you as he kissed her deeply igniting the fire within her.After a long emotional kiss and embrace, Thaddeus finally kisses Mira on her fore head his lips lingering longer than usual as Mira looked up to him and replied I love you too.

They held each other ,wrapped around each other as they let sleep overtake them.The next morning, Thaddeus wakes up very early hoping to make that day very special to his wife as he sneaked out quietly like a thief.He went straight to the kitchen as he prepared toasted bread paired with steaming cup of tea served in a very lovely tray pan .

When he was through,he carried it gently to the room as gently as possible to the room as he kissed her on the forehead and whispered to her ear that breakfast is ready.Mira smiled as she opened the mouth watering food served before her.

"It is like the father of the child understood what his child wanted this morning".She ate the breakfast as her husband watched her.That day they spent almost all the day together except the time Thaddeus had a meeting on how the heavens will keep going in his absence.

The next day,king Thaddeus set to leave as his mate watched him hoping that this was all an imagination.After the whole preparation that morning,he turned to Mira as he hold her ,I will come back before you know it,as he said those words he kissed her on the forehead as Mira nodded and said Go.

Thaddeus nodded and kissed her back as he left.Each step he took shattered Mira heart telling her it is reality but she consoled herself knowing it was temporary but little did she know that fate had other plans for her.

Thaddeus finally goes to earth, taking the the body of a human after seeing that he could not do anything in his God form.He never imagined that it would take longer than expected.Meanwhile ,Mira on the other hand soon progressed , getting closer to her delivery.Any moment from that week,she could deliver.As she thought about her delivery,she wished Thaddeus would be there but seeing that he has not returned,it meant it was more than expected.

On the final day,Mira water break as the maids helps her to go the hospital only to find out that the demons were attacking everyone . Every attempt to reach the hospital proved abortive due to the bloody war.It was soon found that some gods were helping the demons.Mira gave birth to the three child instead of two as expected.As she delivered she begged the three maids to rescue her children.Every attempt to carry her to hide proved abortive.She lied down there blood over her as the demons came there and also attacked them stabbing Mira so badly till she died.On the other hand,the war had stopped and Thaddeus was on his way back on an attempt to surprise his wife but got surprised himself.Everywhere was filled with blood.In one word Thaddeus killed the whole demons.He rushed to the palace looking for his wife only to see Mira lying in a pool of blood.He held her as he shouted her name so loud but it was too late.Mira was gone forever.Meanwhile as the maids who were entrusted with the children came back,they found out it was only two maids that came with the child given to them.They concluded that maybe the other one had already died,so they decided to keep quiet and not add fuel to the already burning fire,since no one else knew about it .

Thaddeus cried so heavily not willing to let go of Mira's body.He stayed with the body all through the day even at night.Other gods could not leave as they stayed behind afraid that he might kill himself.Thaddeus could not believe it,he kept calling Mira ,you can....'t leave me like this.He would whisper as his heart shattered as he says leave me.He would call her name over and over again hoping that it would be all a dream but no,it was real.The next day,the body of Mira was finally taken away after much pleading to Thaddeus .

Thaddeus cried for days in the solitude of his room.Sorrows consumed him.His heart broke and everything in the house kept reminding him of Mira and how he failed her.He remembered the night before his departure and mira's unease.He blamed himself over and over again.

How could I have left her?How could I have broken the promise he made? Thaddeus asked himself as it became more agonizing than before.His eyes were swollen from tears yet it was not enough.He had tried everything to end his life but he could not forget the voice of the maid telling him how his wife gave her life to make his children live.Leaving them now would mean ultimate betrayal.After 6 months, Thaddeus decided to carry on .He was just breathing and not living.

Each day, Thaddeus dragged himself.Life became meaningless.The once cheerful Thaddeus became a shadow . Anyone who just knows him would think he was weird, hardly laugh .Grief really took a thorn in his flesh.Thaddeus even had to pack from his house because he could not live with the guilt.Moreover,the house made it difficult to move on.

Days turned into weeks and weeks to months and finally Thaddeus little princesses grows up.They were his everything.The reason he lived.The only reason he is breathing.Everyone in the heavenly Kingdom treated them like heavenly treasures.They were free to do anything .One of the daughter's is the successor of the moon goddess and the other succeeding her father .Thier name were Mira and Aphrodite.They were free to do anything .

One day ,they took excuse to go to the werewolves kingdom to glance at the people they would be their ruler tomorrow .

Mira and Aphrodite finally reached the land of the werewolves.They were mesmerized by what they saw .

Every where was beautiful.The Flowers ,the trees,the people talking here and there.Every place was beautiful.They went from one part to another observing people,the love birds,the family meetings,the market places,the servants.It was all a sight to watch.What they began for fun turned out to be an unexpected adventure.What made it even more beautiful is that no one was seeing them because they made themselves invisible.Everything felt like it was new.It was entirely different from what they have always watched from heaven.The breeze,the rivers were like ornaments adding to the land beauty.Every corner showed something enchanting.

After watching for what seems like hours,they decided to visit the palace.When they reached the palace,it was something else.The building is highly elavated.The compound very beautiful and made with gold.You could hear tiny noises of people.Girls and boys were running from one place to the other .Just as they took a step further,they saw two men,they were muscularly built tall and handsome.One had green eyes and the other blue .By their attire and the way they bowed to them ,you would know that they are royalty.Mira was immediately mesmerized by the one with the blue eyes.She kept smiling,her eyes trailing down his body.Hei!come here one of the men said and the maid answered "Yes,prince Dylan."

He even has a deep voice,Mira's heart fluttered as her gaze lingered on the man. she tapped her sister, whispering and nudging her,don't you see his gentle and quiet voice.As dusk approached, Aphrodite urged her sister for them to go .As Aphrodite dragged her sister Mira,all she kept doing is smiling as her mind was still on Dylan remembering their encounter over and over again.

As Mira reached heaven,she went straight to her room unable to take away the picture of Dylan away from her head.She was still thinking about Dylan and slept off.

That night as Mira slept,she saw herself with prince Dylan.They looked at themselves ,their eyes solely on each other ,their hands tightly intertwined as they cuddled.As prince Dylan brought his mouth to kiss Mira then ,she woke up .Mira grumbled as she turned from one side of the bed to another.She tried several times to sleep but to no avail.The picture of Dylan kept appearing before her.She decided to take a walk,as she slowly got out of her bed coming downstairs.As she came downstairs,she heard a voice.She couldn't help but wonder who it is.So,she tiptoes carefully to the kitchen preparing herself to fight when she saw that it was her twin sister.

Oh!You scared me she said .What are you doing down here.I could not sleep ! Don't Tell me it's because of Dylan, Aphrodite asked?

Yes,please can you help me?Mira begged let's go and see them after all Aphrodite remember you will rule over this people too.So, Aphrodite and Mira sneaked to the land of the werewolves.They disguised themselves wearing tattered clothes and went to the palace.This time making themselves visible.

With their powers,they were able to get the head maid to take them in as a maid.They were so beautiful that people could not take their eyes off them.They were loved by everyone and it was not long enough before the princes noticed them.Dylan and Mira finally got in touch.From simple conversations to long talk and from there to talking secretly to openly.Aphrodite tried to warn her sister but she was stubborn . Aphrodite became friends with the other prince whom she finally found out as Mason.Mason is a quiet guy.He is the first son of the family and also as handsome as his brother but Aphrodite was not carried away.She knew that her mate would be better than this. Meanwhile, Thaddeus woke up that morning hoping to see the girls since he barely saw them yesterday due to their adventure but he didn't.He thought they went for their game as usual or in one of the gods and goddesses playing pranks but he did not hear from them but night came and morning but they were nowhere to be found.That's when Thaddeus declared them missing His anxiety grew with each passing minutes .The whole heavenly world was searched . Even other gods and goddesses were not left out in the worry.Fears washed over Thaddeus.He was trembling,sweat all over his body as his heart broke little by little to the extent that he could not feel his leg.Could the demons have taken them?He asked himself until the moon goddess finally sees them in the land of the werewolves .

Immediately,his muscles relaxed as he breathed out with tears trickling down his eyes.Something,he had never done before crying in front of everybody.Thaddeus then told theoon goddess,make sure they are here before tomorrow morning.Every attempt by the moon goddess proved abortive .The Moon goddess even begged them but to no avail.Aphrodite would have gone but she couldn't leave Mira alone.The moon goddess even solicited the help of other gods and goddesses but there was no answer.

Thaddeus in anger then visited the royal house to take them back but Mira refused.It was at that time that the whole royal kingdom knew that Mira and Aphrodite were goddesses.

He talked to them but Mira insisted, Aphrodite went with her father hoping that it would change Mira heart.Mira she told her as she left,You know this will break our father heart,we are all he has.As aphrodite said those words her voice cracked as drop of tears came out of her eyes but mira's mind were already made up.It was at that point that it became obvious that she is a goddess.Pribce Dylan loved her the more and showered her with love.

One morning as she woke up,she saw a very beautiful dress by the door with the prince at the side of her bed ,he kissed her tenderly at the forehead slowly moving to her nose her cheeks and then the mouth.Good morning my love,Dylan said as he broke out from the kiss.Prepare ,we have a date by 7:00 pm and I would like you to dress.The dress was beautiful,a short red gown.It was beautiful and by looking at it ,you could tell it was expensive.Mira smiled and said thank you as she kissed him one more time and asked him to prepare for the meeting he had that morning.

Prince Dylan attended the meeting as Mira went for a walk as she took a closer look at the palace.

However after the long nap,Mira wakes up from her nap as she shouted rushing to the bathtub to take her bath.She looked at the time,it was already 6:40 pm,She hurriedly called the maid who helped her with her make up and her clothes by 6:59 pm Mira was ready.The maid looked at Mira all over again,You are so beautiful.I am very sure prince Dylan would not be able to keep his eyes away from you .Mira laughed and thanked her.As she came outside,she is surprised at what she saw next .It is her sister,She is happy that she ran so fast and hugged her sister Aphrodite.I love you!Mira says to her.Meanwhile,Mira immediately remembers about the date as she ran away telling her sister that she will see her later.

As Mira steps outside,she sees the prince with a red suit,The suit was lovely and well fitted like it was originated just for him.As prince Dylan saw Mira he smiled as his mouth was opened and he could not talk as Mira called him.You are looking so beautiful,my darling Dylan says .Mira laughed,her cheeks burning red like tomato.

Every words and action made by Dylan made Mira blush so hard .He also made her smile so sheepishly.Mira enters the car with Dylan following after as they rode to their date.
