The combat love

Vincy is in hurry that she was asked to leave for her how as soon as she finishes her interview.

In the morning, Vincy was anxious as she have to perform well in today's interview. She was long awaiting for this day since she graduated. For her, being in a interview is not less that a battlefield. She tried her best to give the best of her.

With no regrets as soon as the interview finished she took the next bus from capital city to her hometown. To reach there it will at least take 8-9 hours. When she boarded the bus, for her surprise her seat was next to her college friend's friend, Harrison Man , with whom she barely spoke in the entire four years of Engineering.

" Hi", she greeted with a genuine smile,

" Hi" He replied.

And there ends their regular conversations

They don't expected this meeting as the last time they met was at the last day of college. It's been two years.

He started, " So going to home.?"

" Yes, How about you. "

" Actually, to home but my parents called and asked me to come to City A, By the way if I am not wrong you are from the same city right."

" Yes, So that means our destination is same."

"Like so..."

And again began a prolonged silence....

To break the ackward silence,Vincy An, started

" How was your days in Canada? Did your course period ended."

" That was amazing. Almost got over . only Two more months to finish of the course ."

" So what's the next plan?"

" Not at all decided. How about you? When I last checked on you you said you want a break to start a career. How is it going?"

" I took a year long break to figure out what I actually wanna be; This entire year made me realize that a small comfortable job will satisfy me and in the meantime I began to write stories;Started a tech blog ; Today was my interview. I felt I gave the fullest. Let's wait and see."

" Did you planned to marry? Don't take it wrong I just asked out of curiosity since our friends are getting married."

" I don't take it wrong. To answer your question, Currently I have no plans on getting married."

" ohh, Do you have a boyfriend."

" Do you think I have one. No."

" So what about you?"

"Me, I like some one bit I afraid to let her know since she is a good friend. Don't you have someone you like?"

"Do you want me to be honest?"

" Yes"

" See I am saying this as you asked me. I don't want to lose this to affect our friendship at any cost. The person I like is actually you.

I know we are poles apart and you see me as a Friend bit I just can't help from falling for you."

" Who said I regard you as a Friend. You had never been in my friend zone. I love you since our first meeting."

" But relationship between us won't work out well. We are different person with different opinions."

" We can't say what universe have for us."

" So what you mean is let's give a try. But if it didn't work out well, Then we will be friends till the end."

That whole journey just went in understanding and get knowing each other.

After a small gap that came after hearing what she wants to here for a yearlong out of blue, she said, "It seems like we had wasted a lot of time, hiding our feelings from each other."

"Wait, Are you saying that you are ready to start a relationship?"

"What else do you expect from me, walk away when the most precious and beautiful thing came to my doorstep? Even though we are in compatible, I am stupid to leave such a compatible man to walk away from me."

He doesn't know what else to say," So, right from this moment you are my woman. I promise you that I will make sure that You will always be my side and I won't leave anyone else to snatch you away from me. Do you know I have always believed that This day won't come in this life time."

"If we had confidence with our feeling, then this day would have come much earlier."

"That's True. We really had wasted a lot of time. So, Vincy when did you actually realized that you have feelings for me?"

"Speaking of that, I don't know when it started. But I felt an emptiness in my Heart when I was in the break. It felt like that something is missing even though I enjoyed the break to its fullest. Sometime, I even thought that It would be great if I have your company. Then I get the blink that I actually miss you without my knowledge. But I hold it back for all this time as I was not sure in the beginning. And later I was not sure about your feeling."

"Is that so? Don't you wanna know when I actually fall for you?"

"I don't bother with that."

"But I wanna tell you so ask me about it"

"Do you know now you are more sleekly which is way more different from what you used to be." And she leaned on his shoulder.

"I know you may feel it's different from what you used to see me. But trust me this is the exclusive benefit for you to see all the clumsy, sleek and the unknown sides that no one else can see."

"If that is so then tell me how this unmoved ice mountain of mine actually melted for me."

"I fell for you the first time we met."

"In the event?"

"No even before..."

"Even before? In the Language class"

"I have known you even before the college starts. The first time I saw you was in the day of our admission to the University. You was like a child who get to the amusement park for the first time. That whole day wherever I had gone I saw you. Then you keep on come to my mind often. I thought it was because You are so different. Even I followed you in many [places in the college for some time. I later realised that You had occupied my heart when I started to miss you. That's why I joined in the classes with you even though we are from different major expecting to see you. But mostly It went into vein as you I have different timing. The only time We attended the same class was English language class. That too in the next semester we got into different foreign languages and never had a chance to get the same classes again."

"But why haven't you approached me back then."

"That's because I didn't know you quiet well back then. Also, I once heard your conversation with your friend regarding the rumour of you being in a relationship with someone."

"You know who that was?", She suddenly jumped with enthusiasm and clanged to the topic regarding that rumour.

"I don't want to. All I know was it was someone from my department." As he continues with an annoyed reaction struggling hard to change the topic, she found a lot of fun in seeing his reaction.

"But, to be honest I really felt relived after hearing that you have no relation with him."

"That means, you got jealous."

"What? Jealous? No way."

"Come on my dear Iceberg. Just accept the fact."

"How can you caught me immediately. I did get jealous. Are you happy now."

"Aww. So sweet. Look at the face you make even you know that was actually an rumour. Truly speaking Now I think that I like this childish you, rather than the cold and indifferent you, who get jealous on himself."

"So what I get jealous of myself. I didn't like the rumour of you being with...... Wait, What did you said, I got jealous over me."

Even in the dim light she was able to fully see the face that Harrison made out of shock and she almost burst into laughter but controlled it hard," Hmm, Didn't you get into the details back then. It was actually you who had been linked with me back then. And it is the first instance I noticed you who is quiet interesting. But never thought that you

would be so clumsy even without knowing the entire details and get jealous of you." She smirked again.

"I too never thought that you will be this cunning that you almost made fun out of my ignorance. What to do? Hearing that there was someone else in your life made me go crazy."

"That's true there was always someone in my life, even without my notice.", She again lean back on his shoulder.

"Indeed", He smiled and wrapped her in his arm and rested his head on hers.

As they were talking all their way to the city A, they didn't realise that they spent the night speaking about themselves and how they feel for each other. It just took them into the nostalgic lane of their college

time.

When they reach the station near Vincy's town, Vincy gets ready to reach for a cab to go to her home. As Harrison found it's difficult to part from her. Both of them wanted to make up for all the time they missed during college.

When Vincy about to get a cab for herself, Harrison asked "Vincy, I think I should accompany you."

With a smile as she understands that he can't stand the part, "Didn't you say you are also going the same direction. I hired the cab for both of us."

They get on the cab and started moving.

Vincy started, "Harrison, I want to say something but I want you to keep calm."

"Just say it."

"First, I want you to promise me that you will always be like this to me and won't interfere with the things I do."

"Vincy, Do you know what my biggest wish in the world? It is to be with you and always want to fulfil all your wishes. So you don't ask such question to me. I will be always by your side and I promise that we will grow old together."

"Secondly........." Vincy still found a reluctant inside her mind regarding the second thing that she wants to say.

"Just say it. I won't mind anything if you say something inappropriate or something silly", and poked her head lightly.

"Harrison, Stop. It hurts. "She slightly rubbed the place he poked with one hand and pinched him in his arm a little hard.

"Ouch" He shouted.

"This will happen if you ever try to bully me. Got it."

"Yes My lady I get it. You are the one in command and I will simply accept all your orders. So what was that thing you were saying?"

" Nothing, Dear, I really Love you man.Thanks for coming into my life. I feel that No matter what, as long as you are in my side my world feels complete." And she leaned over him and in her mind she thought***'It is not the right time to tell you about it.'***

As they were speaking the driver said that they have arrived at the destination they said.

Both took their leave from one another and parted apart. Seeing her till she vanishes from his vision. He checked his mobile for the location that his parents texted. He again hired a cab and when he sits inside, with eyes closed and took a deep breath he let his thoughts run wild inside his mind,

"Sorry dear, Even though I say I love you and promise all those things of getting old together, I am not sure whether I will fulfill all those. And Sorry for not letting you know those things. It's better this way to keep you in dark than telling you. I know you feel betrayed when things go wrong. But I also think someone like you will understand why I did something like this."

As he finds some peace as he pacified himself, Drive said that they reached the destination. He found it looked like that something is taking place there. With a doubt he entered into the place. His parents were busy with stuffs. As he entered inside he understands that the arrangements are done for someone's marriage.

After seeing him, His parents rushed towards him asking him to get change.

"Mom, Dad, What is actually happening here?", He asked.

"Preparation for your marriage."

"What??"

"Why are you giving such a reaction? We just kept you in dark in order to give you a surprise. It's just that my friend and I decided to get you and her daughter together."

"So you decided to do this without my concern. Dad you let me down."

"What are you talking, Harrison? "His mother got raged.

"Speaking the truth mom. By doing this You let me down. And I am telling you guys, No matter what I will not marry the so called bride that you looked for me.", Saying so he made his move.

His father with a firm tone, "Are you sure in your decision?"

"Absolutely. You also know that I will not change my stand whatever it takes if I decide once."

"If you are going to turn this marriage down, then keep it in mind that you are no longer related to Man family and never try to enter the family in future. And never try to get things done by using the identity,' The son of General Man'."

"Don't think that it will change my mind and If that is the thing that you want, then listen, Family name is just a mere identity that society recognise. It means nothing to me. I can earn my own name in this society. So don't worry that I will not use your name. Then fine. I will never enter the family in the future no matter what happen."

His father entered the dais and took the mic and addressed the crowd, "Dear guests thanks you to all of you to make some time to come here. But I have to apology to you all because of my Unfilially son. The marriage that is supposed to happen here is cancelled. But I want you all to witness one thing.

'I, Raiden Man, cuts all my ties with Harrison from this very moment and announces that my family have no ties and relationship with him.'

I thank all of you once again to be here."

As His father announced it in front of all, Harrison turned and left. When he gets out of the wedding venue, His phone buzzed. When he picked it, He got a message from Vincy saying,

'Dear Harrison,Don't ask me why. Just reply me. Let's get married right now. Come meet me in the church near the town hall. I will be there in few moments.'

He replied, 'If you are ready to move further, So am I. Let's get married. I will be there. Wait for me.'

He then made his move towards the church to get married.
