Chapter 1 Bella

"Mom!!! Mom!!!"

"What's wrong with her? She has been like this since she came back from work yesterday." Two children spoke to each other as they tried to get the attention of their mother who was obviously lost in thought. "What do you think happened to her?" The young girl asked her brother who shrugged and went to tap his mother's shoulder.

"Hmmm! What is... I mean, hey baby!" Isabella who has been lost in thought came to as she said.

"What is it, mom? We have been calling you for a while now and you didn't even hear us call. What are you thinking?" Oliver asked his mother.

Isabella looked at her children who had never failed to surprise her. Oliver and Olivia are the fruit of what happened eight years ago and what made her lose her father now. "Did you call me?" She asked them.

"Yes, we did... What's wrong with you mom? You have been acting like this since you came back from work yesterday. What is it?" Olivia asked her mother.

Their question brought tears to her eyes because, sometimes, they act like her parents. They would always know when she was in a bad mood and would try as much as possible to cheer her up. "Why are you crying? Did someone bully you at work? What's the problem?" Oliver asked worriedly as he saw the tears running down his mother's cheeks.

After Isabella had managed to calm herself down, she beckoned on her children to come closer and pulled them into a hug. "Mommy was just being emotional. Thank you so much for worrying about me but, I'll be fine. I was just thinking of some things and it made me sad." She said as she held them tighter.

"It's okay Mom, we all have days like that... What made you start thinking of things that make you sad? Don't you know that when you are not happy it makes us worry?" Olivia said as she pulled out a little to look at her mother's face. Both of them could be said to look very much alike but, one is dark and the other is fair.

Isabella pulled out of the hug and looked at her children then, smiled and said. "I am very sorry that I had to make you two worry. What would I have done without the two of you?" She pinched Olivia's cheeks and said, "My Oliva is all grown," she tapped on Oliver's nose and added. "The man of the house is looking so manly. What would I have done without the two of you?"

"Nothing! You couldn't have lived without the two of us. We are your lucky charm!" Olivia said with a bright smile on her face.

"Yes, Olivia is right... You would have been helpless without us. See, I am the one making you breakfast when it's supposed to be the other way around." Oliver added with a shake of his small head.

Isabella couldn't hold it anymore and laughed at how cute Oliver looked when he was acting maturely. What did he cook? He made tea and they set the table. That's what's on the table and this little man is acting so big. "Yes, you are right. This breakfast looks so good... You have outdone yourself this time around. Nice work my big man!" Isabella praised him and gave him a thumbs up.

"Don't do that Mom! It makes you look childish. You are already 24 years old and have two grown-up children. What is remaining is to get married. Please, can we eat? I don't want to be late to class." He answered his mom and assisted his sister to sit.

Isabella just kept looking at him with a smile on her face and when he sat down, she helped them to put butter on their bread and they all had breakfast.

Olivia is a 24-year-old woman with two kids. Twins, a boy, and a girl. She found out she was pregnant with them after being thrown away to Nigeria by her father and stepmother. Her father didn't even give her the chance to explain what happened that night. He just sent her to her grandparents without a second thought. It has been eight years since that incident and she hasn't seen or heard from her father since that year. Her grandparents were happy to receive her because according to them she is the exact copy of her mother. They weren't lying when they said that because, after seeing her mother's pictures of when she was her age, she knew she looked so much like her mother. After giving birth to her children, her grandparents helped her take care of them while she continued with her education. She graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in business management and started to work for her grandparents. While learning, she had also learned catering. Now, her grandparent's restaurant happens to be one of the best you could ever find in the country. They ended up opening branches all around.

Last year, her grandfather passed away and it really broke their heart. Isabella and her children finished breakfast and left the house in Isabella's car. "Mom!?" Olivia called after the car had left their compound.

"Yes," Isabella answered.

"I don't want to make you sad or anything but, I want to know and I have to ask. What happened to you? You were not yourself yesterday and this morning, you cried. Can you tell us why?" Olivia asked and her brother nodded his head to show that he also wanted to know what happened to her.

Isabella was reminded of the reason why she cried again. Looking at the faces of her children alone was enough to make her remember the reason but, how could she tell them why she was like that? She possibly couldn't tell them that she saw their father. She had formed a very elaborate love story and told them how she and their father were so in love that they ended up giving their first time to each other before she was sent back to Nigeria. She even went as far as to tell them that their father had died a few months after she left the United States and came back to Nigeria. What a world! She had never expected to meet him in this lifetime again. How could such a thing happen? "Well, the thing is... I... I... I just remembered Granpa! Yes! I just remembered Grandpa and I couldn't help being sad because I miss him. That's what happened." Isabella said after thinking for a while and realizing that she couldn't tell them that their father whom she told them is dead is why she is like that.

Oliver and Olivia looked at their mother for a while after she had finished talking and looked at each other. Anybody could tell what they were thinking when they looked at their mother but, they would never say it out. They couldn't possibly tell her that they knew she was lying. They would be a slap on their mom's face. Right? "Oh,"

"Hmmm," they both mumbled after a while.

Isabella looked at them in surprise. That wasn't the reaction she was expecting. Did they know the was lying to them? She asked herself as she continued to drive them to school.

When she got to their school and pulled over, she turned to look at Oliver and Olivia who were sitting at the back and quietly watching her. "The both of you should be good. Okay? I'll be here as usual when school ends in the afternoon. I love you two and I want the two of you to take care of each other." She said and they both nodded their head.

"Do you have to say this again? You keep telling us the same thing every day. We could even recite it to you if you want us to. Bye, mom. Take care at work and don't work too hard." Oliver answered and Olivia nodded her head in support.

"Okay, I love you guys!" Isabella said and placed kisses on their foreheads.

"Love you too Mom!" They both answered and opened the car door and walked into the school while turning at intervals to wave at her.

She watched them as they walked into the school compound. Looking at them, she started to think again. Oliver is the exact copy of his father. When she saw him yesterday, her heart and soul knew that she couldn't be wrong. Her grandma even noticed the resemblance between Oliver and him. Oliver and Olivia are the perfect examples of what Nigerians call 'oyinbo' meaning white.

Olivia's hair is pitch black while Oliver's hair is brown. Their eyes are what you would love the most about them. They both have blue eyes. Just like their mothers. She was also a black American, her mother is a Nigerian while her father is an American. The only thing she inherited from her father was his blurred eyes and her children also got that from her. She didn't even realize that she had stayed too long in front of the school till the security guard knocked on her glass. After saying she was fine, she drove off.

When she got to the restaurant, she met her grandmother waiting for her. "Bella!! What took you so long to get here? Come! There is something and someone you have to meet!" Her grandmother said and pulled her in.

"Calm down grandma! Too much excitement is not good for your health. Slow down..." Isabella said as she was being pulled along by her grandma.

Their restaurant wasn't built like a normal eatery. It was a four-story building and the fourth floor is where her grandmother lives. The third floor is where they rent out to people who want to use it got large events. The second floor is the VIP floor. That's what they called it tho. The ground floor is open to everybody and that's also the floor that holds the kitchen and office.

Isabella was wondering 'what' or 'who' was making her grandma so excited when she was pulled up to the second floor. "What going on? Who are we meeting?" She asked but her grandma remained secretive.

"Just follow me. Will you? It's just someone that you have to meet." Her grandmother answered with a smile.

"Grandma, I hope you are not trying to set me up with someone again. I have told you that I am still young and I have many years to find a partner. Besides..." Isabella was saying but stopped when she saw the person standing in front of her. "What..." She opened her mouth to say but stopped.

"Hi, Isabella Grey... My name is Luke Simeon and I believe you know me based on your reaction." The handsome and unforgettable face that she sees on her son said to her with a smile.

Chapter 2 Luke appears

"Hi, Isabella Grey... My name is Luke Simeon and I believe you know me based on your reaction." The handsome and unforgettable face that she sees on her son said to her with a smile.

Isabella was frozen on the spot. She didn't make a move to take his hand that he offered to her or even acknowledge his getting. She was just frozen. After waiting for over five minutes and still not getting any reply from Isabella, he looked towards her grandmother as if asking her to help. Isabella's grandma was not expecting such a high reaction from Isabella. After giving her some minutes and still no answer, she used her shoulder to nudge Isabella forward. "Bella, come on Bella..." She whispered.

Isabella felt a little push from her grandmother and when she looked at her, she was lost. She had questions in her eyes but she couldn't ask them. Not just any way. When she looked at the smiling Luke, she was confused as to how to act. In the end, she didn't take his outstretched hand. She nodded at him and said, "Hi, Mr. Luke."

Luke wasn't surprised by her action. Instead, he was amused. He took back his hand and put it in his pocket then said, "I am sorry to pay you a visit like this but, can we please talk?"

Isabella looked at her grandma who was beside her and she saw the encouragement in her grandma's eyes. "What do you want to talk about?" She asked Luke.

"Please, have a seat," Luke said and pointed at the chair across from the one he was standing beside. Isabella nodded her head and sat down.

"Alright, I'll leave you two to talk, call me if you need anything." Her grandma said and walked away leaving them alone to talk.

"I am sorry for disturbing you this morning but, I felt it will be better for us to talk. I don't know if you remember me..." Luke said immediately they were left alone.

Isabella looked at him and was thinking. 'Should I tell him that I don't know him?' 'What should I do? How could grandma drop such a huge surprise on me?' 'What do I say now. God! This is all confusing. What is he even doing in Nigeria?' She kept asking herself questions.

"Isabella, I can tell what you are thinking but, you don't have to trouble yourself so much. I just want to talk to you. Why are you so scared?" Luke asked her after watching her for a while. He only wanted to talk to her and explain everything. Why was she reacting in such a way?

Bella cleared her throat and said. "I didn't know you before but, I saw you here yesterday and now, I am seeing you again. Does that answer your question or is there anything worth remembering?" Yes, she had made up her mind to hide her children from him and the first step is to discourage any closeness between the both of them. After all, what happened that night could be called a mistake.

Luke was at a loss for words, why was she acting that way to him? It's not like what happened that night was his fault. They were both tricked by the people they went out with and ended up spending the night together. He wasn't expecting her to be happy seeing him but, he wasn't expecting her to be this hostile as well. "Well, I don't mean remembering me after yesterday. I am asking you if you remember what happened to you eight years ago. On the night you attended a party with your sister and her friends. Do you remember?" He asked after a while.

Isabella's face changed after hearing his question. That's one of the things she doesn't like to remember but, she has never been able to forget especially when she sees her children. That's the only good thing about what happened that night. "I don't know what you are talking about. I don't have a step-sister so, how can I even attend a party with someone I don't even have in my life? Maybe, you have the wrong person." Isabella answered him.

Luke looked at her and almost believed he had the wrong person. He almost apologized to her for mistaking her for the wrong person but, he was sure. Apart from a very small difference, she hasn't changed much. He could still see the sixteen years old girl from eight years ago if he decided to overlook the signs of maturity on her and the fact that she was much more beautiful and developed than she was when he saw her then. The most important feature is her blue eyes. That's one of the things he would never forget. Her sparkling blue eyes. "No, I can't be mistaken. You are the person I remember and if you claim not to know what I am talking about then, I will help you remember it slowly." Luke said and he could see Isabella stiffen.

"I have things I need to do. You've certainly gotten the wrong person. Goodbye Mr. Luke." Isabella said and stood up as fast as she could. She had only taken a few steps away from the table when she heard Luke's voice.

"I am very sorry for finding you after such a long time. It's my fault you were sent out of your home and you lost everything. If I had not left that morning, I might have helped you. I am truly sorry. After that night, I was sent away for a year. When I came back, it was hard to find clues. I looked for you and five years ago, I got a clue and went to see your parents. They made me believe your step-sister was you and she also acted the part. I only found out the truth two months ago when your father was dying and that's why I am here. Please, give me a chance to make it up to you." Luke said when he saw that she was leaving. He had come to make it up to her and he wouldn't leave without doing that. He would surely give her all that was supposed to belong to her.

Isabella was already in tears when he finished talking. She was crying because of what he said. Not because her father had died. Whatever love she had for him was already gone and forgotten. She had tried several times to contact him after she got to Nigeria but, he never spoke to her. He even went as far as to stop sending money for her education and upkeep after a year. What made her cry is the fact that too much time had passed and the mention of that night still hurts her. "You are wrong about one thing tho, though I never lost anything. What happened made me see who my family are. I might even have to thank you for not showing up. So, I didn't lose anything important so, I don't want anything. What happened is all in the last now. Let's just forget it and you can go back to wherever you came from." Isabella answered without looking at him.

Luke walked up to her and stood behind her then said. "I know you have more than what you have lost but, I have never forgotten about you. I want to make it up to you and that's why I am here. Your father also asked me to pass a message to you."

"Stop!! I don't want to hear about that man ever again. He is not my father! As for whatever message he sent you, I don't want to listen. I have heard your apology so, you can go and please, I don't want to see you again.!" Isabella said and walked away from Luke.

"I'll be here tomorrow and every day from now onwards!! Expect me!!" He shouted to her back. He had come to find her and he wasn't preparing to give up. He thought she was beautiful then but now, she is captivating. She wasn't that talk but her height added to her charm. She had the perfect eyes. Her lips and her face are something you would always take a second glance at. As she walked away from him, he noticed that she had a slim waist and her ass was clapping as she walked. 'What a nice figure' he thought to himself. Not like that pretentious Lily. He would do anything to give her what rightfully belongs to her and he surely would make her his again. He had never been able to get the feeling of having her naked under him out of his mind. That is one of the reasons why he was still suspicious of Mary even after they should her plenty of proof. He didn't see any resemblance between the girl in his memory and the one that was given to him. Now, he had found her and he won't let anyone mistreat or bully her again.

Chapter 3 Remembering the past

(Guys, from here onwards, Isabella will be called Bella. Enjoy!)

Years ago

Isabella Grey was 6 years old when her mother died. It was barely three months after her mother's death that her father brought home another wife. They even had a daughter who is a year older than Isabella. Her new mother was none other than her mother's best friend Aunt May.

Her older sister wasn't mean to her nor was she overly nice. They just got along with each other just fine. When Isabella was fifteen years old, her elder sister Lily had already graduated high school. She was always waiting for the time she would also graduate high school and go to college like her elder sister. Their father wasn't the over-wealthy type but, they surely lived a comfortable life. Her father owns a newspaper agency and her mother used to own a unisex salon that was taken over by her stepmother.

After praying so long for her final exams in high school, the day finally arrived. She graduated high school two days before she turned sixteen. When she got back home, Lily who didn't attend her graduation ceremony was at home. "Lily! You are back! Why didn't you come to my graduation party? I was hoping you'd come!" Isabella said and ran to Lily who was sitting on the couch and smiling at her.

When Lily heard Isabella's voice, she felt like strangling her. Everybody loves Isabella. The only thing she keeps hearing whenever she goes out with friends is, 'Isabella is this, Isabella is that... Isabella is so beautiful...' What's so good about Isabella that everyone loves her so much? Even the teachers always have something good to say about Isabella. Of course, she didn't show what she was thinking. She turned to hug Isabella and said with a doting smile. "I am so sorry. I tried to come back on time but, I couldn't. I just got home a minute ago and when I called Daddy, he said you guys were already on your way home. Am sorry." Lily apologized.

"Okay, I forgive you but you have to make it up to me," Isabella said with a bright smile.

"Sure! I'll make it up to my cutest little sis! Now, follow me to my room. I have a surprise for you!" Lily said and pulled Isabella upstairs.

"Bella!! Lily! Is that how you forget your parents when you see each other!!" Their father shouted after them. He watched then with a contented smile on his face and turned to his wife. "I am happy to see that they get along so well..."

"Yes, they get along very well but, I hope you don't see your ex-wife in Bella?" His wife May asked.

"What are you talking about? Amelia is already dead and gone. I indeed miss her but, you are my wife now and nothing can change that. Okay?" Mr. Gray, Bella's father said and pulled his wife into his arms. His action didn't make him see the cold glint that passed through his wife's eyes.

On the other hand, Lily and Bella had already gone into Lily's room. "Come, I want to take you somewhere so that we can celebrate your graduation together. What do you say?" Lily asked excitedly as she pulled Bella to sit on her bed.

"Where? Will Daddy allow us to go out?" Bella asked innocently.

"Don't worry about that, my mom will help us out. Just go back to your room and get dressed. I'll have Mom take Daddy out and when we get back, Mom will be waiting to let us in." Lily assured her.

The idea of going out with her elder sister sounded so cool that Bella did not ask for anything anymore. She just happily rushed back to her room and started looking for what to wear.

After Bella had left Lily's room, Aunt May came to meet Lily. "How did it go? Did that foolish girl accept to go out with you?" She asked as she sat on Lily's bed.

"Trust me, Mom, she agreed and you should have seen the sly smile she had on when she left her. I just hate her so much!" Lily said with hatred.

"Hey, calm down. By this time tomorrow, she'll be out of this house for good. I'll even make sure that her father sends her to meet her grandparents in Africa where she belongs!" Aunt I said. She had met Lucy's father first but, he ended up getting together with Amelia her best friend. She did everything to make him see her but, when he didn't see her, she started making him hate Amelia. She managed to seduce him and she gave birth to Lily. It wasn't easy but, she forced him to get married to her after her friend passed away.

"I trust you, Mom. I know your plan will work out. I'll be back before 10 pm so, please make sure you leave the door unlocked and keep Dad busy." Lily said to her mother.

"Don't worry and just make sure you get her and a boy together in a hotel room before coming back home and don't forget pictures!" Aunt May said with a smile.

"Don't worry Mom, I have it all under control," Lily assured.

In another part of Los Angeles, Luke and his friends were having fun that same day. They had gotten into college but, Luke wasn't going with them. As eighteen-year-olds, they are full of fun ideas. They decided to go out and have fun but Luke who wasn't a fan of crowded places declined. "No, you guys can go ahead and have fun without me. I'll pass." He said for the hundredth time in an hour.

"Come on dude! It'll be fun! Besides, we are not taking you to a club. What's that big deal?" Luke's friend Logan asked.

"Yeah man, it's just a part of teenagers! Don't be such a party Popper and let's go!" Another friend added and the other two who had not spoken nodded their head in support.

"Look, I have told you guys that I don't want to go. Whenever I go out with you, something bad happens! This time around, I stand by my decision. You guys can go ahead and have fun without me!" Luke said and took a sip of the coke that he was holding.

"Okay, we admit that the last time you went out with us, we misbehaved. Just this last time. We'll behave ourselves and you can stay till 11 pm and leave. How about that?" Logan asked with excitement.

"Fine! Well, get there when it's 8 pm and I can leave without you all once it's 11 pm?" Luke asked them and they all nodded their head. "Okay! Where did you say the party is at again?" He asked.

"It's being held at a hotel close to our school. Do you know Emma in our class?" Logan who seemed to be the talkative among them asked and Luke nodded his head. "Well, her dad owns that hotel and from what I heard, he allowed her to hold parties there every weekend. So, it's just teenagers and a lot of alcohol and of course, girls! Girls from different schools will be there." He added with excitement.

After talking for a while, they all agreed to meet at the hotel where the party was being held. Luke was already eighteen years old but he was way more mature than all his friends. Whenever they go out, he is always the one taking care of them. He had never been drunk and he had never even held hands with a girl. Being the only son of a wealthy family opened him up to responsibilities early. He had been taking training since he could talk and think. His family owns a branch all over the world and there is no business that they are not involved in. His grandfather started the company as a cement production company when he was eighteen years old but, as time went on, they began to venture into other aspects. Oil and Gas, food sector, construction, just name anything and you'll find the Simeons are involved.

He got ready and went to the venue and when he got there, he met his friends waiting for him outside the hotel. "Let's go in!" He said and led the way in while his friends happily followed behind.

At that time, Lily also brought Bella to the same hotel. "Lily, this is a hotel. We are not supposed to come to this kind of place. Dad will be so furious when he finds out." Bella said as she gripped Lily's hand.

"Dad will never find out. Don't worry. The party we are attending is hosted by a girl from my college and it's full of teenagers. Nothing will happen or, don't you want to spend time with me?" Lily asked as she tried to convince Bella.

"Of course, I want to spend time with you. Are you sure it's safe to go in?" Bella who was already convinced asked.

"It's okay if you don't want to go in. I will just assume that you don't trust me and you don't want to spend time with me. Let's go back home..." Lily said and made a sad face while she turned to walk away.

"No!! Let's go in. I trust you!" Bella shouted when she saw how unhappy she had made her sister. Lily whose back was to Bella smiled when she heard Bella's answer. She nodded at Bella and they both walked into the hotel.

When they entered, the party was already underway. Loud music and people dancing. Bella felt uncomfortable when she heard the loud music and saw the large crowd of youths. Lily led her in and took her to a table that consisted of two girls and four boys. "Bella, these are my friends!" Lily shouted so that she could be heard above the loud music. "Guys, this is my sister. I have told you all about her!" She also said to her friends. She didn't introduce them by name so, Bella just nodded at them all. Lily led her to an empty seat beside a guy who had never taken his eyes off Bella since they got to the table.

After sitting down, Lily also went and took her seat. As the party continued, Bella was feeling very uncomfortable but she didn't want to complain because she could see that her sister was having fun. The guy sitting beside her had also been trying to get her attention but she had been ignoring him. After sitting for a long, she took out her phone and started to play a game. At that moment, Lily and her friend looked at her and saw that she wasn't paying attention to them. The guy sitting beside Bella took out a pill and passed it to Lily. Lily smiled, poured the juice into a glass, and said to Bella. "Bella! Why are you so quiet!" She shouted so that Bella could hear her over the loud music.

Bella raised her head and smiled at Lily without saying anything. Lily shook her head and passed her the glass of juice that she dropped a pill into and said. "Aren't you thirsty? I know you can't take alcohol so, have this juice. After taking it, well leave this party and go home." Lily said.

When Bella heard that she could go home after taking the juice, she happily drank it and dropped the empty glass on the table then started to wait for Lily to take her home. In her wait, she started to feel weak and dizzy. She shook her head a few times to get rid of the dizziness but it wasn't helping so she stood up and said. "Something Is wrong with me! I feel dizzy..."

The bit sitting beside her hurriedly stood up and said. "Let me help you to a room so that you can lie down for a while. After resting, your sister will then take you home."

In her state, the only thing she heard clearly was that her sister would take her home so, she nodded her head and left with the person holding her. Lily stood up and followed behind them and took pictures. After following them to a room and making the boy pose with Bella who was unconscious, she left the room beaming with smiles. The next time Bella woke up, she was lying on a bed and was naked. The hotness in her whole body was what woke her up. She felt very uncomfortable and started crying for help.
