"Do you like seeing yourself like this, Genevieve?" He whispered, lips pressed to my ear while his brother railed into me. "Soaked, trembling, painted with our cum like a perfect canvass?" Chapter 1 SONOGRAM AND PAPERS

GENEVIEVE (VIVI)'S POINT OF VIEW

"I don't think I would have ever done this without you." My husband, Elias often told me but now, while sitting across from him and staring into his emotionless eyes, I knew my marrige was over.

I sat perfectly still with my fingers digging so deeply into the fabric of my purse until my knuckles turned white still, I felt no relief.

He looked immaculate in a three-piece suit that clung to his broad, athletic shoulders with his dark brown hair styled to perfection. It was his eyes however, that broke me. Those blue eyes that used to look tenderly at me, were now full of coldness with no hint of any emotion.

I watched as he pushed a file toward me and one look at the file, my lips trembled.

'Petition for Dissolution of Marriage.'

"Sign it, Genevieve," he said in a cold tone. "The terms are more than generous as you will receive a nice settlement that ensures you will never have to return to the life you lived before we met."

A bitter laugh escaped my dry lips. "A settlement? Elias, do you honestly think I married you for your money?" I asked as my voice shook with both humiliation and pain. "Look at me. Please, just really look at me. I'm Vivi, your wife. We are married and I have always been by your side."

His expression remained cold as he leaned back in his chair and assessed me coldly, like I was a stranger.

"I appreciate everything you did for me during my recovery, Genevieve," he replied. "But we both know that marriage was built on a foundation of missing pieces but now I know the truth."

"The truth?" I whispered as rage filled me.

"Bianca," he began and I immediately noticed how his tone softened at the mention of her name. "My memories of the accident finally came back and now, I know it was Bianca who dragged me out of that burning room years ago. She is my true first love, and I will not waste any more time living a lie with a woman my family forced into my life."

I stared at him in disbelief, wondering what had come over him. For years, I had managed Elias's amnesia which was as a result of a fire outbreak. I stood diligently by him, gave up the things I loved doing and now, he thinks Bianca is the one who saved him?

Bianca, the bratty, high-society socialite who had suddenly appeared weeks ago, had clung onto Elias immediately and to make things worse, his parents, Julian and Reyna, had instantly championed her, eager to displace a poor girl like me and Elias, who didn't know what was actually going on, was falling right into their trap.

"Elias, do you really believe that? We have neen through so much for years and you're not scared to lose me?"

"That is enough," he interrupted as he moved his hand away, so I couldn't touch him. "My decision is final. I have a future to build with Bianca, the woman who actually belongs by my side so do not make this ugly."

I trembled as the realization sank in. The same man I had given everything away from just so he wouldn't feel threatened or neglected was throwing me to the side because of Bianca?

"Are you going to sign or have us do it the hard way?" he asked with a raise of his brow as he pointed to the document one more time.

One more look at his face and I knew there was no going back on this. With a shaky sigh, I grabbed the pen with trembling hands and slowly signed, as my heart ached painfully.

"You're going to regret this, I assure you." I spat as I dropped the pen. Wasting no time, I grabbed my purse and got out of my seat to leave but before I could take the first step towards the door, my vision blurred as a sharp, agonizing pain hit my stomach, followed immediately by a profound nausea that hit me so hard, I quickly slammed a hand over my mouth so I wouldn't puke all over the office.

"Genevieve?" Elias asked with a tone that didn't sound concerned. "Are you alright?"

I couldn't answer him as the sickness rose in my throat, threatening to spill. Wasting no time, I rushed out of his office and ran for the restroom. When I got there, I threw the door open and slammed it shut behind me but I barely made it to the toilet before dropping to my knees as I began to retch.

I clung to the seat for dear life as tears leaked from the corners of my eyes. It took minutes for the spasms in my stomach to finally subside and after vomiting every content in my belly, I slowly got up on shaky legs before going to the mirror.

My chestnut hair was messy, my long lashes were soaked in tears and my doe eyes were all red and puffy from crying so hard, followed by a pounding headache.

As I took deep breaths and tried to calm myself, I began to make little calculations. This wasn't the first time I was puking my lungs out. In fact, it had been happening quite regularly for a couple of weeks now.

As my thoughts clicked, I moved a shaky hand to my flat tummy and as I thought of the possibilities of my assumption, my heart raced even faster.

'No. No, please God, no,' I breathed.

I began to count backward in my head, tracking the days and the weeks as I thought of the last nights I spent in Elias's arms. Things had been a bit rocky since Bianca appeared but still, I ran over each detail carefully.

"No, this can't be happening," I gasped. My period was over three weeks late.

I was finally carrying Elias's long awaited child but it didn't matter anymore, did it? He already made me sign the divorce papers and threw me out of his house.

Chapter 2 DIVORCE PAPERS

Genevieve's POV

By the time I finally made my way back to the Whitmore estate, it had started to drizzle but I barely noticed.

When the cab pulled to a stop, I took a deep breath before stepping out.

For the past two years, this place had been my home. I had tended to the gardens, made the boring corners lively, and spent countless nights soothing Elias through his horrific night terrors but now, I was nothing more than a trespasser.

And to think I was always by his side, making sure he was happy while neglecting myself?

I hoped to take some time for myself before leaving but the moment I stepped into the foyer, the heavy scent of perfume I had come to detest filled my nose, causing a wave of nausea to hit me one more time.

Bianca was here.

"Oh, put that vase in the master bedroom, and make sure the linen is changed to silk," Bianca's high-pitched voice rang out from the stairs. "I absolutely refuse to sleep on whatever cheap cotton the previous occupant used."

I already knew who it was before I walked further in, to see Bianca looking as stunning as always. Her blonde hair was perfectly styled, and her blue eyes gleamed with a triumphant satisfaction when they landed on me.

"Well, well. Look what the rain washed in," Bianca scoffed, as she slowly walked down the stairs, while swaying her hips. Then, she stopped a few inches away from me, crossing her arms. "I see you finally signed the papers and honestly, Genevieve, you should have left weeks ago because you never belonged in a house like this anyway."

"I am not here to cause trouble, I just need to get my things and I'll be out of your hair." I said.

"Your things?" she asked with a mocking laugh.

Just then, Julian and Reyna Whitmore walked in with their usually cold eyes, which I had been forced to get accustomed to over the years because from the start, they had always hated me and it was still a wonder how they took a liking to Bianca immediately.

"There is nothing for you to pack, Genevieve," Reyna said, her tone as cold as usual. "Everything in this house was paid for by the Whitmore estate. The clothes, the shoes, the jewelry, none of it belongs to a girl from your background. We have already had the maids bag up the few cheap items you brought with you when you wormed your way into my son's life."

Julian stepped forward, and ran his eyes over me like I was contaminated. "You have embarrassed this family long enough with your lack of pedigree and now, Elias finally knows the truth. Bianca is the one who belongs by his side so take your garbage and leave before I have security throw you off the property."

Before I could respond, two large bags were dumped at my feet by some maids.

I looked at these people who I had literally tried to please for years and seeing how they were letting me go, hot tears brimmed my eyes but I didn't let them fall. I didn't let them see how much they broke me.

"Go, slave," Bianca called out, making Elias's parents chuckle like it was some sort of funny joke.

"You're all going to regret this, I assure you." I said fiercely then i grabbed the handles of the bags, before walking out of the estate with the little dignity I had left.

I walked for the longest time until my legs began to tremble but still, I didn't stop because I had nowhere to go. I only stopped when I arrived at a 24-hour clinic because I needed to know for sure.

I went in and my samples were taken, while I waited with my heart in my hands. If the results came out positive, where would I even begin? I love children but this wasn't what I had in mind when I planned a family.

It took less than an hour for the doctor to call me into his office.

"The rapid blood test is conclusive, Mrs. Whitmore," the doctor said, offering a small, sympathetic smile. "You are roughly six weeks pregnant and your HCG levels are quite high."

"Pregnant..." I breathed as my knees went weak. I barely paid attention to his other words as I walked out of the clinic with a sob stuck in my throat.

Elias had wanted a child dearly and it had been my sole dream to make him a father but right when things were getting better, it was pulled to an abrupt stop.

All sorts of emotions filled me at once, ranging from fear, grief, and pain to happiness that a life was growing inside of me. But I knew the Whitmores long enough to know Julian and Reyna were ruthless. If they ever found out about this pregnancy, they would use their immense wealth and legal power to rip my baby away from me, framing me as a gold-digger who trapped their amnesiac heir and Elias wouldn't even lift a finger.

'I have to hide it,' I thought desperately, as the need to protect my child filled me. I was lost but I wasn't letting go of my child.

'I have to run. I will flee the city permanently and raise this child completely alone, where they can never touch us.'

With my mind made up, I shoved the result into my purse and wiped my tears as I began to make my plans. I had some cash so it would be enough to get far away from here.

I didn't mind working, I had always been hardworking before Elias forced me to become a housewife.

With a shaky breath, I grabbed my bags and stepped into the now pouring rain as I headed for the bus station.

But the moment I walked onto the pavement, I froze to a stop immediately as a sleek black sports car swerved toward me aggressively. Shaken by the sudden movement, I tried to move to the side to avoid getting hit but as fear filled me, I couldn't move an inch.

My breath hitched as I remained frozen in terror as I let go of my bags and wrapped my hands protectively around my flat stomach.

At the very last minute, the car screeched to a stop only a few inches from me.

Elias?

Chapter 3 ONE TRUE LOVE

Genevieve's POV

As I stared at the car, I dared to think that maybe Elias had changed his mind and had sent someone to get me, but I was totally wrong.

When the car door opened, a man stepped out without a care about the rain at all as it soaked his messy dark brown hair that looked oddly familiar. He wore an expensive but relaxed black shirt with the top few buttons undone, revealing his tanned skin, and a heavy leather jacket that made his broad shoulders look even more intimidating.

As he walked toward me with a lazy, predator look and I caught sight of his face, my breath caught in my throat.

It was Elias's face with the exact same highly structured jawline, the same perfection, the same piercing ice blue eyes but everything else was entirely wrong because this man carried himself with an air that screamed for me to back off. A dark stubble accentuated his jaw, and a visible tattoo was all over his right arm, making him look even more dangerous.

"Still playing the martyr, I see," he said and I immediately noted that his voice was deeper than Elias's.

Oh no, this wasn't Elias, it was the worse version of him.

"Felix..." I whispered with a barely audible voice.

Felix was the black sheep of the Whitmore family and the son Julian and Reyna pretended didn't exist. He had been exiled for years and the only times I had seen him was on old family photographs where he bore the same striking resemblance with Elias.

Felix stopped just inches away from me with his cold eyes scanning my drenched clothes, my red, tear-stained face, my bags that were lying on the ground, and then, I watched as a smirk pulled at the corner of his lips, but it didn't reach his eyes. There was something dark hiding behind that smile that was so intense, it made a shiver run down my spine.

"The golden boy really threw you out like garbage, didn't he?" Felix asked, his tone dripping with amusement as he watched my frozen state. He didn't wait for me to answer as he reached down, effortlessly snatched my heavy bags with one hand, and grabbed my wrist with the other as he urged me towards his car. "Get in the car, Genevieve, before you catch pneumonia."

"No, let go of me," I protested as I finally came back to my senses. "I need to get away from this place as fast as I can."

"With two trash bags in such a weather?" he countered, raising a dark brow.

"What are you doing here? Please, pretend like you didn't see me," I said as I tried to collect my bags from him, but he moved them out of my reach.

"I can't leave you like this. How about I take you to the bus station?" he offered.

My mind was filled with so many questions but as a heavy wind blew and I shivered, I knew he was a better option than walking around blindly.

Seeing my look of defeat, he gently guided me towards the passenger side and helped me into the car, before closing the door after him and going over to the driver's side.

As he slid into the seat beside me, the tight space filled with his scent and it was so intoxicating I moved away from him until I was leaning against the door.

"What happened back there?" Felix asked quietly as he began to drive.

I didn't respond immediately as my mind went through what had happened one more time and before I could help it, I became a crying mess, letting all my built in emotions finally roll out.

"He signed them," I choked out, wrapping my arms tightly around myself. "Elias signed the divorce papers and he told me his memories returned... he thinks Bianca is the one who saved him from the fire and he thinks she is his true love. And his parents... they threw me out as well and they told me I was nothing but a gold-digger who wormed her way into his life."

I could only get those words out as I buried my face in my hands and began to cry bitterly. I didn't want his comfort, I just wanted to let my emotions out. He didn't try to console me either, he continued driving with his hands gripping the steering wheel.

"Idiots. The whole damn lot of them," Felix muttered as he threw me a glance. "I've been back in the city for two days, and I've been watching. I knew Elias was a fool, but I didn't think he was stupid enough to let Reyna and Julian pull his strings like a puppet."

I wiped my eyes and looked at his stunning side profile. "Why do you care, Felix? You've been gone for years and you hate your family."

"Exactly. I hate them," Felix said, slowing the car down as we approached an exclusive penthouse. He parked the car in the private underground garage and turned off the car and only then did I take more notice of my surroundings.

"You said you would take me to the bus station," I said.

"Yes, but first, we have to talk."

"About what?"

Felix turned in his seat and leaned closer to me as he looked at me like he had waited a lifetime just for this moment.

"I'm back to reclaim what's mine," he murmured, his voice dropping low. "I'm going to take the company from my father, and I'm going to strip Elias of everything he thinks he owns."

"What does that have to do with me?" I whispered, as I shrank against the seat tiredly. "I just want to disappear. I want to run away."

Felix reached out gently and firmly wrapped his fingers around my chin, before forcing me to look directly into his deep eyes as his touch sent a strange jolt through my entire body.

"You're not running away, Vivi," Felix stated as his eyes bored inro mine. "We're going to make Elias pay for what he did, and you're going to help me do it."
