"Luna, Luna, where are you?" Julie shouted from downstairs.
Rebecca was sitting in her office. She winced hearing Julie shouting. Rebecca had worked the whole night to build an alliance with South River Pack. She had fallen asleep just two hours prior and woke up an hour ago to work on the deal papers.
"I am in my office, Julie. Stop shouting. Please, come upstairs." Rebecca retorted back. Her eyes were fixed on the laptop screen, her fingers working on the keypad.
A concentrated look on her face. She is biting down her bottom lip while reading the file. Julie went quiet for a bit...
"Luna, can you please come downstairs?" She again called Rebecca.
Rebecca has an irritated look on her face. She closed her laptop screen. She placed her head on the table grabbing it in her both hands.
Rebecca just wants a pillow to put her head on and sleep on, but Julie is waiting for her downstairs. But her wolf senses are sometimes very irritating. She can hear everything going around in the packhouse. She was concentrating on her work to stop hearing all the noise but here it is... The voice came again.
"Luna Moon, Come downstairs. I am waiting for you." The girl shouted again. Rebecca shifted in her chair. She buried her face in her hands rubbing her eyes.
"Okay, here goes nothing..." She took a deep breath and then got up from her chair. She tied her long black hair in a rough bun and then went towards the office door.
Rebecca came out of the office. Her steps are firm on the floor. The dark circles under her eyes were showing that; she hadn't slept much! The muscles of her body soared due to her continued work.
Rebecca wants to take a shower, but it is not the right time. First, she will solve all the issues coming along these days. She is wearing a sleeveless shirt along with black loose trousers.
There are scratch marks on her arms and some bruises.
They haven't healed or faded yet, because she attended the latest training sessions.
Rebecca's hair again falls back on her sleek waist. She moved her fingers in her hair to move them out from her eyes. She crossed the corridor and now walking towards the stairs.
Rebecca's wolf wants to kill the person who disturbed her peaceful mind of the state. She is walking barefoot and the tiles of the floor are cold.
Rebecca wrapped her arms around her body and rubbed the cold skin of her arms to get some heat. She should wear a sweater.
Rebecca walks down the stairs of her packhouse to reach the main hall. She sensed the presence of her best friend, Julie.
Julie is standing near the last stairs. She saw Rebecca coming downstairs. A smile came upon her face.
Julie is not only her best friend. But, she is also the second-in-command wolf. She is working as Rebecca's beta.
Rebecca gave her a duh look, looking at the smile on her face.
"What?" Rebecca questioned.
"I don't think, there is anything good around our pack to smile like this..." Rebecca is already tense.
"Stop being harsh! I have good news to tell you." Julie scolded her.
'MOON' Rebecca's wolf growled before settling back in its resting state.
"Julie Silver, I warn you if there is nothing important. If you just disturb me for no reason. I am going to kill you." Rebecca warned her...
Julie saw the look in her eyes and shivered. She was looking at the storms in her eyes.
"I am not joking, Luna. It is serious. It can benefit us and it will lessen your worry." Julie said. Rebecca heaved a deep sigh!
"If you stop creating the suspense. Please, tell me, what is it? I am so tired." Rebecca stopped a yawned.
"Luna, how many days have passed since Simara ran from the pack?" Julie questioned.
Rebecca's expression changed into a rage.
"I thought you were going to talk about something important. Can you please stop reminding me about her... I am not in the mood." Rebecca said then turned to leave the main hall.
But Julie grabbed her wrist making her stop in her steps.
Rebecca facepalmed. She clutched her hands in fists and then looked at this dumb girl standing in front of her. A cloud of anger was covering her body. Who the hell on earth chose her as the Beta?
(It was you, Moron!) Moon said in her head. Moon never left any chance to humiliate her.
"Just shut up, Moon," Rebecca growled at her wolf.
Rebecca came out of her thoughts and saw Julie pouting. Rebecca sniffed.
"Okay, I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you," Rebecca said looking at her pouting face. She arched her eyebrow in a questioning manner.
"Okay, fine. Now, listen to me." Julie said.
"Umm, tell me." Rebecca sat on the stairs.
"Luna, we tracked Simara. Along with all the papers, bonds, money, and jewels." Julie told her, Rebecca saw her with a shocked expression. She stood up on her feet.
"What did you say? Are you serious?" Rebecca grabbed her by her shoulders and shouted in disbelief.
"Yes, Luna. I am serious. Me and Abel. We have both been working on it for two weeks. And we finally tracked Simara." Julie said. Rebecca's eyes filled with hope and happiness.
"Oh, Julie. thank you so much! I can not even tell you how happy I am..." Rebecca hugged her. Julie hugged back and then smiled.
"I am happy for all of us," Julie said.
"Where is she?" Rebecca asked. An evil smile hit Julie's face.
The golden rays of the sun decayed the darkness around the world. The morning songs of the little birds were dimmed by the roaring sounds of the ocean waves. The wind was moist, but the weather was cheery. The sun-bathed sand grains were getting cold from the waves of the sea, a continuous suffering of thirst and calm.
The morning around this beautiful cabin was more pleasant than the ravishing night. It was a wooden cabin made by the shores of the sea. The pillars held the cabin up from the ground, and there were stairs to go up to the front door. As you climbed the stairs and entered inside, the first thing you saw was an aesthetic sitting area and a little library. The cabin had two rooms, a beautiful kitchen, and a little storeroom. The prominent thing around this place was dark woodwork and white curtains. The white curtains were flying due to the wind coming from the open windows.
As you crossed the sitting area, the doors of the two rooms were closed. One of the rooms was empty and silent, signifying that no one was present inside it. The empty bed, a dressing table, and a closet were the only pieces of furniture in the room. The windows were closed, and the lights were turned off.
Being bored by that, when you entered the other room, it was filled with a pleasant scent. The sweet scent of a woman's perfume mingled with the intoxicating scent of a man. A man was sleeping peacefully wrapped in a blanket. His arm covered his eyes and half of his face. On the other hand, the woman was sitting on the bed.
Her name is Lucy Griffin. Lucy is staring at the man sleeping beside her. He looks so peaceful. A smile crept up on her beautiful lips. Lucy is the definition of beauty. Lucy's face shines bright like the glow of gold. Her eyes are deeper than the sea. A thought of the last night crossed her head. A beautiful blush crept up on her cheeks, enhancing the natural glow on her face. The dark brown curly hair was done in a bun. She is wearing a white shirt that doesn't seem her fit. But the piece of clothing belongs to this handsome man.
The man shifted in his sleep. He turned his face towards the bed, and his back on the woman. She shifted towards him and started drawing some unknown patterns on his back.
"Dark, Dark..." She whispered in his ear.
"mhm..." He murmured.
"Dark, wake up. We are getting late." Lucy whispered. She placed her lips on his back.
"hmm..." He again muttered.
"Dark, we have to leave. I am waiting for you to wake up so we can go back. We have a flight in two hours." Her voice was very soft. He turned around and wrapped his arms around the woman's body. A smile came upon his face.
"Good Morning, my love!" He placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Good Morning to you too." She said. Her head rested upon his chest. They both remained like this for a few moments.
"We have to get ready and leave..." She again said.
"Okay, come on let's go take a shower." He suggested. She nodded her head.
"Dark, are you sure about this?" She asked him.
"Lucy, do you trust me?" He asked.
"I trust you with my life," Lucy said without any doubt.
"So, don't worry! We will be fine. I have to do it." He said. She nodded her head.
"If we will be successful, it will be our biggest win." She smirked. His expression same as Lucy's.
"There was a call for you," Lucy informed him.
"For me? Who called for me?" He asked in wonder.
"You never told me you have a sister..." She raised an eyebrow looking directly into his eyes.
Dark looked taken aback or in deep thought... But he nodded his head.
"Yeah, I do have a sister. But it's old news. Not very important..." He said.
"It is now important... A girl called late in the night. She said she needed help. And she is your sister," Lucy gave him the latest news. A few lines formed on his forehead.
"Help?" Dark repeated a single word from her last sentence.
"Yeah, she said she is in some trouble," Lucy said.
"Okay, we will look into it later... For now, we have to catch a flight. Go take a shower and get ready. I need to make a few phone calls." He said. Lucy moved away from him, noticing the change in his tone. He needs privacy. Lucy got up and went into the bathroom.
After she left, Dark shifted in his bed. He moved towards Lucy's side table and took his phone. He lifted his body from the bed. He is now sitting on the corner of the bed. Dark looks in deep thought...
Dark's broad shoulders stiffened within his toned muscular back. The muscles of his body show that he regularly goes to the gym or does exercise. Dark moved his fingers in his ruffled hair to settle them down. He got up from the bed to walk out of the room. He doesn't want Lucy to hear his conversation.
Dark stepped out of his room in his shorts. His abs are like chiseled shining metal. The rigid muscles of his arms stiffened. The nerves pop out when he moves his hand to settle his hair.
Dark walked towards the front door. He opened it and came out. He stepped down the stairs walking towards the sea. After he crossed a meaningful distance. He took out his phone and looked at the screen. He redialled the unknown number in call history.
The phone rang a few times... But no one picked it up. He again dialed the number. And this time someone picked it up.
"Hello, Dark?" A woman's voice erupts from the speaker.
"Simara!!!" He can recognize her voice in millions. She is her sister...
Three thousand kilometers away from Dark, in the Royal Moon Pack, Rebecca was elated after hearing the news of Julie tracking Simara. The burden on her heart had been growing heavier day by day. Three weeks ago, Simara had run from the pack, creating another problem for Rebecca. Simara didn't leave anything in the pack vault; she took everything with her. It was too late until Rebecca realized that Simara was a con and a traitor to the pack.
Not long ago, it was Rebecca who gave Simara a place in the pack as a good gesture due to her kind nature. However, it turned out to be her biggest mistake. Since then, the whole pack started accusing her of being a bad leader. Continuous rogue attacks, conflicts among pack members, and weak defense around the borders added to Rebecca's challenges. A million thoughts of being a terrible leader crossed her mind, and she felt guilty, trying to solve wealth and territory issues.
Rebecca's pack was the largest in numbers around the continent, but it lacked strength and cooperation among members. It wasn't Rebecca's fault; the pack had been running like this for years. Rebecca didn't anticipate that running this pack would become the worst headache of her life.
Rebecca Moon became the Luna of the pack at the age of eighteen, five years ago. At 23, she was becoming successful in her goal to improve pack conditions. The responsibilities were overwhelming, and though she didn't initially want it, she accepted the title passed down by her Alpha father.
Rebecca's parents happily watched her become Luna, and she aimed to make the pack strong, powerful, and independent. Struggling with the responsibilities, she realized changing the old wolves was futile. Instead, she focused on the young generation, initiating training sessions and establishing a training institute.
After four years of hard work, Rebecca successfully established a guard for the pack, composed of young and trained werewolves. The problems of elder wolves were gradually being solved, and the pack was becoming peaceful and powerful.
However, rogue attacks started last year, creating panic among pack members. After six months of suffering, Rebecca, with Julie and Simon, resolved the problem. Then, Rebecca made the mistake of giving Simara shelter, disrupting the peace she had worked so hard to achieve.
Rebecca now handled office work and dealt with allies. Julie, her best friend, and Julie's boyfriend Simon Abel, handled common pack problems and training, respectively. After four years of hard work, Rebecca was successful in establishing a guard for the pack. The army of young and trained werewolves and the problems of elder wolves were being solved slowly. She was happy with her work. The pack was slowly becoming peaceful and powerful.
As she thought, it was all going well. Last year, suddenly the rogue attacks started on her pack creating panic among all the pack members. After six months of suffering, she solved this problem with Julie and Simon. And then Rebecca gave Simara shelter in her pack making the biggest mistake of her life.
Rebecca was now handling the office work and dealing with her allies. Julie is her best friend whom she trusts the most and she is like her younger sister. Julie handles all the common pack problems such as fights and conflicts and recruits new members for their team. Simon Abel handles the training institute getting more young warriors to make their pack stronger. Another member of their team is Garrick Fols, he is a pack doctor. He helps Rebecca in educating the young wolves and giving them jobs. Such as nurses, volunteers for schools, teachers, architects, and many more...
Rebecca's pack was becoming what she dreamt of it. But three weeks ago, Simara. Six months ago Rebecca sheltered her in the pack and a job to live independently. She was working as a security guard in the pack security. She robbed the vault of the pack and ran away causing another problem for Rebecca. It was all the wealth Rebecca secured for her pack in these past years...
Rebecca struggled so much! She was tired and she gave up on looking for Simara. But yesterday, when Julie gave her the news that they tracked Simara. She thought her problem would be solved soon... Little did she know that the return of Simara would not only solve her problem but it will change the life of Rebecca and the fate of her pack.
Three thousand far from Rebecca, at the coast of the sea standing Crysler Dark. The phone was clutched in his hands. "Why did you call me?" He questioned.
"I need your help." She replied.
"Simara? What is going on? Where are you?" He asked.
"Brother, I am in a very big problem. I did a big robbery from a pack. I thought I would get away with it. But, they tracked me. I don't know what to do... Please, help me. Get me out of here..." She was talking in a panicked voice. Dark's expression went cold.
"You robbed a pack? What is the name of the pack?" He asked.
"Royal Moon Pack," Simara told him. Another expression shadow on Dark's face. But it was not rage, it was evil.
"How can I reach you?" He asked.
"Master Waslof. Go to him. He is hiding in a cabin far south from the Royal Moon Pack. He can help you track me." She was talking in a hurry.
"Okay, don't worry, I will soon be there..." He replied and then ended the call without hearing another word from her... Crysler was now smirking thinking about his idea. He never thought it would be so easy to get a pass in that pack. But his little sister made a mistake like always and helped him in his upcoming mission.
