Chapter 1

Yvonne's Pov

The freezing tile of the delivery room floor dug into my side. Blood and sweat drenched my clothes, and another contraction tore through my abdomen.

The pain split me in two. I gasped, pressing my forehead against the linoleum while the overhead lights flickered overhead.

"Hang in there, Yvonne," the Healer muttered. His hands shook as he rearranged a tray of surgical tools. He was the only medical staff left in the ward, completely overwhelmed by the night's emergency arrivals. "You need to stay on the bed."

"I can't," I choked out. "It hurts too much."

I had been in labor for eight hours. My pregnancy with twins had been a nightmare from the start, but I had endured every tear, every sharp ache, and every terrifying spell of dizziness.

I had told myself it would all be worth it. I believed that once our babies arrived, Ronan would finally see me differently.

He was my fated mate and he was also the Alpha of the Darkmoon Pack.

For years, I convinced myself that his coldness was just a temporary wall. I believed that once I officially became his Luna and gave him heirs, he would stop treating me like an embarrassment.

Instead, he had grown distant especially when Celeste arrived.

Celeste was everything I was not. She was polished, graceful, politically connected, and the daughter of a respected Beta family. She knew how to speak at Alpha gatherings, wore beautiful dresses, and understood pack politics. I was just the nameless Omega standing in his shadow.

Tonight, I desperately wanted to believe he would care.

With another contraction threatening to break my spine, I pulled out my phone and dialed his direct link. I pressed the device against my ear, holding my breath.

He answered on the fourth ring. "What is it, Yvonne?"

His voice was clipped, cold, and devoid of warmth.

"Ronan," I sobbed, gripping the leg of the delivery table. "Please. The babies are coming. It's too early, and something is wrong. I need you here."

A heavy sigh came through the speaker. "I am in the middle of an important territory negotiation. I do not have time for your drama."

"I'm in labor!" I cried out as another wave of agony hit my core. "Ronan, please!"

"I already sent my assistant to manage the hospital paperwork," he said coldly. "Do not call this line again tonight."

Before I could beg him, a faint sound drifted through the receiver. It was a woman's soft, melodic laugh.

"Ronan, darling, who is that?" Celeste's voice echoed in the background, light and sweet. "The wine is getting cold."

"Nobody," Ronan replied to her, his voice softening in a way he had never used with me.

The line went dead.

The silence that followed crushed the final piece of hope I had held onto. While I was on a cold floor fighting to bring his children into the world, he was sharing wine with the woman he had chosen to replace me.

Another contraction hit me like a physical blow. My body gave out completely, and I collapsed onto the freezing floor.

"Yvonne!" The Healer rushed toward me, catching my shoulders. "Stay with me! Do not lose consciousness!"

Darkness crept into the edges of my vision. I felt my spirit slipping away, untethering from my broken body. But then I thought of my babies. I could not die. I refused to leave them alone in a pack that already hated me.

"Help them," I whispered. "Please."

The Healer dragged me back onto the bed. Working frantically, he managed to stabilize my vitals just long enough to assist with the first delivery.

A sharp, high-pitched cry filled the room.

"It's a boy," the Healer called out.

The sound cut straight through my agony. For one precious moment, the pain vanished. I forgot Ronan, I forgot Celeste, and I forgot my pathetic standing in the pack. I was a mother.

"Wait," the Healer's voice panicked. "The second baby is in distress!"

The atmosphere in the room turned chaotic. The monitors beeped wildly as my blood pressure dropped to dangerous levels.

The second child was refusing to descend properly, trapped inside a body that was far too weak to push.

It felt as though I was being ripped apart from the inside out.

"I have to intervene manually," the Healer said, grabbing a silver medical clamp.

He worked quickly, his movements precise but rushed. During the procedure, a sharp edge sliced my skin, spilling a small stream of my blood onto the polished silver instrument.

Then, the impossible happened.

The blood on the metal did not pool dark red, it began to glow. A faint, silver-white radiance spread across the metal surface, illuminating the dark room.

The Healer froze instantly, staring at the tool in his hand.

I dragged my heavy eyelids open and glanced at the reflective metal. In the glowing silver surface, I saw my own reflection. My eyes were no longer their usual dull brown. They were burning with a vivid silver-white light.

A second later, the sensation faded, and my eyes returned to normal.

I blinked, assuming the blood loss was making me hallucinate. But the Healer did not think it was a dream.

He set the instrument down with trembling fingers and rushed to the computer terminal, pulling up my medical file.

"Omega... no record of high bloodline..." he muttered to himself, reading the screen with wide eyes. "This cannot be."

He grabbed a fresh glass slide, scooped a sample of my glowing blood, and placed it inside a specialized scanner in the corner of the room. He pressed several high-security commands, initiating an advanced bloodline examination.

Before I could ask him what he was doing, another wave of excruciating pain slammed into my lower back. I screamed into the empty room.

"Push, Yvonne! One last time!" he shouted, rushing back to my side.

I used every remaining drop of my life force. Moments later, a second cry echoed off the tile walls.

"A girl," he breathed, wrapping her quickly. "They are both alive."

They were tiny, fragile, and severely premature. The Healer placed them into incubators and pushed them toward the doors to be taken to the intensive care unit.

I stretched my trembling arm out toward the glass containers. "Let me... let me hold them..."

My hand dropped back onto the mattress, completely paralyzed by exhaustion.

I lay there in the quiet room, staring at the ceiling. I waited for Ronan.

I waited for the door to burst open. I waited for him to run in, full of regret. But he never came. He did not come after the birth, and he did not come when the nurses logged that his newborn twins had nearly died.

Tears slid down my temples, soaking into the thin hospital pillow. For the first time in my life, the truth washed over me with absolute clarity. My fated mate had never loved me.

Then, deep inside my chest, something stirred.

It was a strange, warm sensation I had never felt before... a slow, deep pulse beneath my ribs.

My dormant wolf, silent since my childhood, shifted softly in her sleep.

It felt as if she had been asleep my entire life and had finally heard something terrible enough to wake her up.

I was too weak to process it, and my eyes drifted shut.

Across the room, the bloodline scanner chimed softly, flashing a bright red warning label across the screen. The Healer walked over, grabbed the printed readout, and read the results.

His face drained of all color, and he dropped the paper in sheer horror.

The system had just matched my glowing blood to a royal lineage that had been wiped from the earth eighteen years ago.

And according to the machine, the bloodline was no longer extinct.

Yvonne/Doctor's Pov

I woke several hours later in a quiet hospital bed. Everything hurt. My body felt hollow, my arms trembled with utter weakness, and every ragged breath reminded me that I had nearly died bringing my babies into the world.

The moment I opened my eyes, the Healer walked into the room.

"Where are my children?" I asked, my voice cracking. "Are they alright?"

"Both are alive, Yvonne," he assured me, adjusting my IV line. "They remain in incubators because they are too small and fragile to survive without medical assistance, but they are fighters."

Relief washed over me. "I need to see them. Please, help me get up."

Before I could swing my legs off the bed, the door swung open and Ronan's assistant, Thomas, stepped inside carrying a thick leather folder.

For one foolish second, I believed Ronan had finally changed his mind.

Then Thomas opened the folder and held out a set of legal papers.

"Sign these," Thomas said without a trace of sympathy. "Alpha Ronan ordered the finalization of your rejection tonight."

I stared at the black ink on the page. Ronan had sent an assistant to end our mating bond while I was barely able to sit upright after giving birth.

The cruelty of it was almost impossible to process.

"He wants this done now?" I whispered. "I just delivered his children."

"The Alpha was very clear," Thomas replied, handing me a pen. "He also instructed me to serve you these." He placed a second document on my blanket. "These are full custody papers. Alpha Ronan is seeking sole custody of the twins."

"No," I gasped, clutching the sheets. "He can't take them!"

"He is the Alpha of the Darkmoon Pack," Thomas reminded me coldly. "You are an Omega with no wealth, no political influence, and no family backing. If you fight him in Pack court, you will lose."

For years, Ronan had used that exact threat to keep me obedient. He knew the mating bond mattered to me, but he knew my greatest fear was losing my children.

So I swallowed every insult, I endured Celeste's condescending presence.

I accepted his neglect and stopped defending myself when other Pack members humiliated me.

I sacrificed my dignity because I was terrified that one wrong move would give him a reason to steal my babies.

I looked at the rejection contract, then at the custody demand.

Lying alone in the dim light after surviving childbirth, something inside me finally broke. It was not my heart.

It was my fear.

Ronan had spent years weaponizing my love for my children against me. I was done letting him use them as leverage.

"I won't sign," I said, looking Thomas dead in the eye. "Get out."

"Yvonne, be reasonable..."

"I said get out!"

The moment the defiance spilled from my lips, my dormant wolf stirred again. The pulse beneath my ribs surged into a violent heat. My heart pounded, and suddenly, my senses sharpened.

Through the thick concrete walls, I heard the fast, rhythmic heartbeats of the nurses walking in the corridor.

I smelled the sharp antiseptic bleach two halls over. Farther away, several rooms down, I distinctly heard the soft, steady beeping of two small incubators.

I gasped as the hyper-awareness snapped off as quickly as it had arrived. I sank back into the pillows, assuming my exhausted body was simply hallucinating from fatigue.

In the adjacent laboratory, the Healer pulled the printed bloodline report from the scanner. His hands shook as he read the glowing screen.

The DNA carried a genetic marker exclusive to the legendary White Wolves, a pureblood strand thought to be extinct.

He cross-referenced the sequence against archived supernatural records, and the system returned a ninety-nine percent match.

The Silvercrest Pack.

Eighteen years ago, the infant princess of Alpha Darius Silvercrest and Luna Elara had vanished during an ambush. The child had been presumed dead, breaking the royal family.

The Healer compared the dates. The age matched. The bloodline matched. The rare silver-white eye reaction matched.

He even checked the hospital's physical intake log and found the small, crescent-shaped scar hidden beneath Yvonne's left shoulder, the exact identifying mark documented in old Silvercrest records.

"She isn't an Omega," the Healer whispered, clutching the file to his chest. "She's the lost princess."

A faint click echoed near the lab's rear entrance.

The Healer spun around and saw a figure dressed in scrub wear slip through the door. Before the Healer could shout, the intruder smashed the glass casing on the desk, snatched the printed bloodline report, and bolted out the fire exit.

"Security!" the Healer yelled, rushing to the hallway. But the intruder had already vanished into the shadows.

Panic seized the Healer's chest. Whoever stole the report knew exactly what it contained.

He sprinted back to his private terminal, locking the door behind him. Having already memorized the critical data, he opened an emergency, encrypted Pack communication channel reserved only for high-ranking Alpha leaders.

He typed in a direct frequency code.

Recipient: Alpha Darius Silvercrest.

The Healer hit send, transmitting a single unlisted text burst before destroying the terminal drive.

"The missing Silvercrest princess is alive. She is at the Darkmoon Pack hospital, and she has just given birth to twins."

Chapter 3

Yvonne's Pov

I woke to an entirely different atmosphere in the recovery ward.

The silence that had wrapped around me during the long hours of the night was shattered.

The hospital had suddenly become tense, charged with an uncomfortable, vibrating energy. Heavy-booted footsteps echoed outside my door, and through the glass panel, I saw Darkmoon Pack guards pacing the corridors with nervous expressions.

The Healer hurried past my room, looking pale and thoroughly frightened.

Nobody explained anything to me.

At first, I assumed the worst. My throat tightened as I clutched the thin hospital blanket to my chest, convinced that Ronan had finally sent his warriors to intimidate me into signing the rejection papers and relinquishing my precious children.

He was an Alpha accustomed to getting his way, and I was just the Omega who had dared to say no.

Then, I heard the vehicles arriving outside.

It was not a single car. The low, thunderous growl of several heavy engines shook the glass windows of my room, vibrating right down into the floorboards. I dragged myself upright, wincing at the sharp flare of pain across my abdomen, and leaned toward the window.

A fleet of sleek, black SUVs had completely surrounded the building, blocking off every entrance and exit. Armed warriors poured out of the vehicles, moving with absolute tactical precision. They did not wear the familiar crest of the Darkmoon Pack. Their dark uniforms bore a striking, intricate crest depicting a silver wolf framed by a crescent moon, a symbol I had never seen in my life.

Yet, the moment my eyes landed on that crest, something deep within my chest violently reacted.

My wolf, who had only just begun to stir from her lifelong slumber, became wild and restless. She thrashed beneath my ribs, pounding against my heart like a trapped bird desperate to break free.

Outside my door, the Darkmoon staff hurriedly backed away, pressing themselves against the walls as the heavy doors of the medical wing were pushed wide open.

An imposing man entered the corridor. He was older, radiating an overwhelming power and an Alpha aura so ancient and dense that every wolf in the building instinctively lowered their gaze and bared their necks in submission. His hair was streaked with silver, his jaw set in a hard, uncompromising line, but it was his eyes that caught my breath, they were a vivid, piercing silver-white.

I recognized him immediately, despite never having met him in my life.

It was Alpha Darius Silvercrest, the ruler of the legendary Silvercrest Pack. Beside him walked the Healer, pointing nervously toward my room.

The moment Darius turned his head and his gaze locked onto mine through the open doorway, something inside my soul exploded.

My wolf awakened completely.

The transformation was sudden and violent. A blinding flare of pain ripped through my weakened body as a rush of raw, unadulterated silver light flooded across my vision. My senses did not just sharpen; they shattered through their ordinary limits.

From ten feet away, the rich, metallic scent of the Alpha's blood hit my nose. A pulse of pure, ancient energy snapped into place between us, binding my heartbeat directly to his.

I gasped, gripping the edges of the mattress as tears instantly poured down my cheeks. What I was experiencing was not fear, nor was it attraction or deference to a powerful leader.

It was blood recognition.

My wolf sang with a deafening, joyful roar, identifying the grand Alpha as my biological father.

I was entirely overwhelmed, paralyzed by the realization that the legendary man who had spent eighteen long years believing his infant daughter was dead was standing right in front of me.

A woman stepped into the room right behind him, her hands trembling as she pushed past the guards. It was Luna Elara. My mother.

The recognition was immediate and utterly devastating. She stopped in her tracks, clutching her chest as she stared at me as if she were looking at a ghost returned from the grave. Her soft silver eyes overflowed with silent tears.

I could not fathom how two absolute strangers could instantly feel like home, but my heart knew the truth before my mind could fully process it.

Suddenly, buried memories began surfacing from the darkest corners of my mind, tiny, broken fragments from early infancy that I had assumed were just childhood dreams.

I remembered the sweet, warm scent of dried lavender and rain. I remembered the deep, steady rhythm of a powerful heartbeat pressing against my cheek. I remembered the glint of a polished silver pendant swaying in the light, and the soft, soothing words of a lullaby I had not heard since I was a baby.

"Yvonne..." Elara choked out, her voice breaking as she took a hesitant step forward.

I began sobbing uncontrollably before I could even find my voice to speak to her.

Darius stepped into the room, his eyes scanning my fragile frame. But as his gaze drifted over the thin hospital gown, he caught sight of the dark, faded bruises on my wrists, marks left by years of neglect and harsh treatment and the raw, fresh surgical scars from my neglected delivery.

His expression shifted instantly. The sorrow in his eyes hardened into a terrifying, icy rage. He realized, with absolute clarity, that someone in this pack had mistreated his long-lost daughter.

Before he could speak, a sharp, high-pitched cry shattered the heavy silence in the room.

My twins had begun crying simultaneously in their incubators across the room.

The entire space went dead silent. The monitors connected to the incubators began to flicker strangely as the air grew thick with latent energy. In their tiny glass cribs, both infants opened their eyes at the exact same moment.

Their eyes were a bright, luminous silver-white, shining with the exact same radiance as mine.

The supernatural energy filling the room shifted instantly.

Darius stepped over to the incubators, his sharp eyes widening in shock as he felt the undeniable surge of raw power radiating from the newborns. He understood immediately that these children were far from ordinary.

The twins were not merely descendants of the Silvercrest line; they possessed the same ancient, pureblood White Wolf marker that had been thought lost to history.

My babies were direct, undeniable heirs to the Silvercrest dynasty.

The terrifying implications of the discovery crashed over me in an instant. If the supernatural world learned that the missing Silvercrest princess had returned and produced two pureblood heirs, every major pack, faction, and power-hungry Alpha would stop at nothing to lay claim to them or discover who had fathered them.

And then, Ronan's name became completely unavoidable.

A cold shiver ran down my spine as I realized the brutal irony. The cruel Alpha who had treated me like a worthless Omega, who had ignored my agonizing labor to drink wine with his mistress, and who had sent rejection papers to steal my children was, in fact, the father of the heirs to the most powerful bloodline in existence.

The thought brought me no sense of petty satisfaction or triumph. It brought only a paralyzing dread.

Because if someone had stolen my identity and hidden me away as an Omega eighteen years ago, my sudden awakening was not a mere coincidence. Somebody had been waiting for me to be found.

"Prepare the transport," Darius commanded, his voice cutting through the room like thunder as he turned to his chief warrior. "We are moving my daughter and my grandchildren to the Silvercrest estate immediately. Nothing stays behind."

Within minutes, the Silvercrest elite guard surrounded my bed and the incubator units. I was wrapped in a thick, warm coat bearing my family's royal seal and carefully wheeled out of the hospital under heavy protection.

As we passed through the grand double doors of the main entrance, I caught sight of a familiar figure standing frozen at the far end of the corridor.

It was Thomas, Ronan's assistant. He stood there with the rejection documents still clutched in his hands, his mouth slightly open in sheer disbelief as he stared at the army of elite warriors surrounding me. He had come looking for a helpless Omega to intimidate into silence.

He was far too late. The broken girl he had come to strip of her rights was being escorted away by the most powerful Alpha family in the world.

**

The heavy doors of the armored SUV slammed shut, sealing me, my mother, and my twins inside a sanctuary of dark leather and reinforced steel.

The engine roared to life, and the massive convoy began to pull away from the Darkmoon Pack hospital, kicking up dust as it accelerated onto the open road.

Driven by an instinct I couldn't quite name, I turned in my seat and looked back through the tinted rear window at the receding hospital building.

High above the chaos, perched silently on the edge of the hospital rooftop, stood a dark, black-clad stranger.

He did not move. He stood tall against the gray sky, his face obscured by a dark hood, silently watching my convoy speed away into the distance.

As I watched him, the stranger slowly raised a gloved hand to his neck. Between his fingers, a metallic object caught the sunlight, gleaming brightly.

He was touching the exact same silver pendant I had just seen in my childhood memory.
