According to the seers, "Three children with eyes so white, and with the smell like that of sandalwood, would overthrow the fake alpha who rules with an iron fist and causes chaos in the land." Nineteen-year-old Zara Dante, an overweight girl with low self-esteem, saw her life drastically change when she woke up naked, bruised, and used. Scott Peterson had deceived and used her, and then chose her stepsister, Harley, as his Luna, despite Zara's presence. Feeling hopeless and helpless, Zara lost her sense of self-worth and accepted her fate. However, when she became pregnant, Scott openly rejected her, and Harley's cruelty led to an early miscarriage. But this traumatic event turned out to be a turning point in Zara's fate. She was rescued by two rogue alpha wolves, Zane and Sean Princeton, who were also her twin mates. They had scores to settle with Scott, who had killed their father and destroyed their family. Zane and Sean taught Zara to shift into her she-wolf form, to fight, and to unlock her rare powers. As they grew stronger together, they discovered they were the three children mentioned in the prophecy. Embracing their destiny, Zara, Zane, and Sean embarked on a journey to fulfill their destiny, destroying anyone who stood in their way.

Chapter 1 The beginning

She woke up with aching joints, stretched, yawned, and opened her eyes to an unfamiliar bed.

Her body was naked and bruised, and the events of the previous night were hazy. One thing was clear, though: she had been deceived and exploited by a stranger who had claimed to be her mate.

That was a total lie.

As she ventured into the large hall, the sound of whispering filled her ears. She bowed her head, feeling the weight of their stares and judgemental looks. The cruel words echoed in her mind:"Fat, useless, and ugly." That's what she was.

Standing in the crowd, she watched as Scott, the man who had ravished and used her the night before, took center stage. Her stepsister stood beside him, and she felt a mix of fear and confusion.

Why was her step-sister standing with him?

Alpha Scott's voice boomed through the hall. "Good morning, everyone. I've called you all here to announce my mate." Her heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, she felt important.

Was Alpha Scott going to acknowledge her as his mate, despite her appearance?

But all those hopes were shattered when Alpha Scott turned to her step sister and declared, "I announce to you all the first princess of the Dante's moonlight pack, my mate, and your Luna, Harley Dante."

The crowd erupted in applause, but she felt only shame and humiliation. Tears burned in her eyes as she wondered what she had done to deserve this.

How had she even ended up in the Princeton red moon pack??

~~~~~~~~~
The sunlight streaming into her tiny room cast an unforgiving glare on her face, but Zara's gaze remained fixed on the ceiling, unblinking and unyielding.
It was a familiar routine, one she'd grown accustomed to.
Every morning, she'd wake before dawn, lying motionless as the silence stretched out, waiting for someone-anyone to remember she existed.
Her stomach growled as if reminding her that she hadn't eaten since last noon, and she clutched her abdomen pleading with it to silent its angry growls.
Just then, the door swung open and a beautiful woman glided in, her elegant demeanour a stark contrast to Zara's disheveled state. A maid followed closely behind, holding a tray loaded with all manner of tasty but unhealthy snacks.
Zara's heart skipped a beat as she sat bolt upright, her eyes wide with alarm as the woman, her step mother, approached her bedside.
"It's been really long, Zara," the woman said, her smile faltering. "How have you been doing?" She asked, her tone detached.
Zara instincts screamed to reveal the truth–that she was suffocating under the weight of her confinement. But she bit back her words, forcing a bright smile instead. "I'm doing fine, Mo....."
The woman's glare cut her off, and Zara hastily corrected herself, her laughter sounding forced. "I mean, Luna Sophia." The title felt like a bitter taste on her tongue, a reminder that her step mother had forbidden her from using the one word that should have been hers to claim: Mother.
Her step mother nodded once in approval and told the maid to place the food on the stool beside the bed.
The maid did so and left the room, closing the door behind her. Then, Sophia the Luna of the Dante moonlight pack, gazed at Zara and said, " You may start eating."
Without a word, Zara brought the tray onto her lap and began devouring the high-calorie food.
She knew it was unhealthy, but she felt powerless.
As the daughter of a mere slave and the illegitimate daughter of a father who didn't approve of her, she knew she was at her stepmother's mercy.
Sophia's laugher cut through the air. "Slow down, fatty. The food isn't going anywhere."
Zara paused, her eyes fixed on the food.
Her step mother continued, "That's not why I'm here, anyway. I've come to select a suitable dress for you." She walked over to the wardrobe, her heels clicking on the floor. "I want you to look really nice."
Lifting her head, Zara curiously watched her as she select a yellow gown and silver shoes.
What was her stepmother's motive this time?
"This outfit will make you stand out," Sophia said with a sarcastic tone, eyeing Zara up and down."Tonight, we're celebrating your nineteenth birthday."
Zara eyes narrowed. "But I already turned nineteen last month."
Sophia snickered. "Does it look like I care? Your father and I just needed an excuse to invite the alpha of the Princeton red moon pack, and your birthday was the perfect opportunity."
Zara's eyes widened in shock, and she Instinctively clutched her skirt, biting back a scream as a wave of anguish washed over her.
As usual, they had just wanted to use her for their own interests.
Her stepmother's grin was menacing. "Just play along, and you'll have a birthday celebration like never before."With that, she stormed out of the room.
Zara stared after her, confused and worried.Before she could process what had just happened, the maid whose name was Eve returned, calling out softly. "Zara?"
"Yes, what is it?" Zara looked away, her gaze drifting back to the ceiling.
Eve let out a deep sigh and sat down beside her on the bed, her hand gently stroking the beautiful yellow gown. "I know you're upset, but you just have to do as she says."
Tears rolled down Zara's cheeks as she turned to face Eve, her friend and confidante, the only one who truly understood her within the pack. "But why, Eve?" Her voice cracked. "Why must they always hurt me? They've never cared about my birthday before. Why now?"
"It's about Harley, your step sister." Eve's whisper was almost inaudible.
Zara's eyes widened, shock etched on her face. "Why...I mean, how?"
Eve's eyes locked onto hers, her expression somber. " Your dad wants to form an alliance with the Princeton Red moon pack by arranging a marriage between Harley and the pack's alpha."
Zara's eyes dropped, and she nodded slowly, the painful truth sinking in: everything was always about Harley, never about her. "I hope they get what they want," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, her words a genuine wish despite the pain and feeling of being used that lingered with in.
"I hope so too," Eve said softly, clearing the empty tray and setting it on the table. She then helped Zara sit at the dressing table and began to style her hair with skilled hands, getting her ready for the birthday party that felt more like a burden of celebration.
~~~~~~~

Time flew quickly, and soon it was 9:00 pm. Zara gazed nervously at her reflection, and her eyes narrowed in self-criticism. She saw a round face with a double chin, and a stomach that seemed to bulge noticeably beneath the tight yellow gown, staring back at her.

She let out a despairing sigh. Could she look any worse today? Her hands were sweaty as she tried to pop the acne on her face, but Eve's hand caught hers, stopping her.

"You can't do that today," Eve said firmly.

Zara rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever."

Eve led her out of the room and out of the mansion, the moonlight casting a silver glow behind them.

As they walked through the large garden, Zara's eyes sparkled with curiosity, taking in the sights. Her stepmother usually kept her confined to her tiny room in the mansion, claiming her presence would embarrass her father. Today was a rare exception, and Zara was determined to make the most out of it.

They approached a very grand building and Eve told her, "That's the hall where the celebration will take place."

Zara's eyes sparkled with excitement as she nodded eagerly. She had been to the pack house only a few times.

Holding up her gown, she quickened her pace, walking ahead of Eve. She was bursting to see the hall's decorations. But as she stepped inside, her excitement faltered, replaced by a wave of nervousness.

The room was packed, with what seemed like the entire Moonlight pack in attendance.

Zara's gaze swept through the crowded room, expecting to be noticed, but she was invisible.

Every eye was fixed on her step sister, who was beaming beside a tall, handsome stranger.

"That is Alpha Scott,"Eve said, raising her voice slightly over the gentle hum of the music. "He is the alpha of the Princeton Red moon pack."

Zara nodded, her eyes fixed on the said man now laughing at something Harley had said.

He was tall, handsome, and exuded power, with broad shoulders and piercing green eyes. His dominant aura commanded respect and attention, and Zara felt shiver down her spine.

Just as she was taking in his imposing presence, their eyes met, and she quickly looked away, her heart racing.

Chapter 2 Deceit and Humiliation

Scott Peterson's eyebrow arched, his frown deepening as he took in Zara's appearance. Despite her unhealthy curves, he found her captivating.

A sly smile spread across his face, and he licked his lips suggestively. "Who is she?" He asked Danny Dante, leader of the moonlight pack, his gaze still fixed on the chubby girl.

Danny followed his gaze and panicked recognising the younger alpha's interest in his younger daughter. "She's...no one," He stammered.

"I want her," Scott replied, his response sending a chill down Danny's spine.

Danny's eyes widened in shock. "But you're about to get engaged to my elder daughter........

Scott didn't let him finish. He stormed out of Danny's presence and began walking towards Zara.

Danny cursed under his breath and clenched his fist to control his anger, knowing Scott's pack was stronger. He took a brief moment to calm himself before following Scott.

"Hi," Scott said, his voice low and smooth, as he approached Zara.

Zara turned around, glancing behind her to see if Scott was addressing someone else. But there was no one. Her eyes snapped back to his, her voice laced with surprise. "You're talking to me?"

Scott's hearty laughter filled the air. "Who else would I be talking to, but the beautiful damsel standing right before me?" He flirted shamelessly, his eyes locked on Zara's.

Zara's cheeks flushed, and she swallowed hard, unsure of how to respond.

Scott's smile widened as he continued, his voice low and smooth. "And you are....?"

Danny spoke up, his voice firm. "She is Zara Dante, my younger daughter."

Zara's eyes lit up with hope as she gazed up at her father, her voice barely audible. "Papa?" This was the first time her father had acknowledged her in front of someone important.

Scott's expression changed to one of surprise, his eyes darting between Danny and Zara. "She's.....the Zara? The one you invited me to celebrate her birthday?"

Danny nodded and smiled, but Scott scoffed, his expression disbelieving. "Then why was she never mentioned?"

Danny's smile faltered.

Scott's questions came rapidly. "Why did she show up so late to her own party? And why did you discuss engaging your other daughter to me at her party?"

Danny stuttered, struggling to respond. "That's because.....because...."

Scott cut him with another scoff, waving his hand dismissively. "Let's forget about that. I want your daughter, I want her in my pack tonight." His words made Zara's ears perk up in surprise.

"Tonight?" she asked, staring at him confusedly.

Her dad's expression was equally perplexed. "What do you mean by that, Alpha Scott?" Danny's voice was laced with anger.

Scott smiled lazily, his voice dripping with nonchalance. "You know what I mean, Alpha Danny."

Danny opened his mouth to speak, but Scott's words made him swallow them back. "I'll give you the alliance you need. I'll give you the protection, make your pack strong, and make you walk side by side with my pack."

Danny's eyes reflected his greediness as he asked, "What then about Harley?"

"Nothing changes," Scott replied, holding Danny's gaze as if daring him to reject. "I'll keep my promise. I just want Zara too."

A long silence followed. Danny Kept his gaze straight ahead, thinking.

"You want me too?" Zara finally summoned the courage to ask.

Scott nodded.

She frowned at him." But you aren't my mate?"

Scott gave her a sly smile. "Then I can be your mate, if that changes anything. I'll be your mate."

Zara shook her head firmly. "No. Eve said my mate and I would share a very strong bond. That I'd be able to tell my mate just by their scent....."

"Enough," Her father's loud voice shut her up, making her gulp hard, nervously. "You don't even have a wolf yet, and you're taking about a bond?" He sneered at her before turning to Scott. "I accept, Alpha Scott."

Scott smiled triumphantly. "Meaning we can go now, Miss." He grasped Zara's hands tightly and began to drag her along with him.

Before Zara could comprehend what was happening, she found herself struggling to break free from Scott's iron grip. His strength was overwhelming.

Just as they were about to exit, Harley's voice stopped them.

"Are you already leaving the party, Alpha Scott?"

Zara stumbled, and Scott quickly wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to ensure she was alright. He then turned to face Harley. "Yes, I am leaving, " He replied bluntly.

Harley's gaze shifted to Zara, her expression darkening. "Why is she with you?"

"She's now a member of my pack, Miss Harley,"Scott drawled, winking at Harley before resuming his stride, pulling Zara along with him. "Tell your dad to explain better to you. I'll see you tomorrow."

Without turning around, he waved at Harley and strode out of the hall, Zara by his side.

A man dressed in black opened the car door for them, and once they settled in, the vehicle began to move, heading towards the highway.

Zara shifted uncomfortably, trying to create some distance between them. But Scott's grip tightened, pulling her back against him. "Running away from me, little girl?" His warm breath danced across her skin, sending shivers down her spine.

"Please, stop!" she begged, her voice trembling. Scott laughed, his breath tickling her.

"But I've not even started doing anything." He whispered, his lips trailing down her neck.

His hands slid lower, lifting the hem of her gown, and Zara's heart skipped a beat as his fingers trailed across her skin.

What was he doing to her?

She struggled to break free, but his grip only tightened. "Stay still." he growled, his voice dangerous as he began to release his pheromones.

Musky and woody, with hint of spice and earthy undertones.

Zara's vision blurred, her eyelids growing heavy as the alpha's pheromones wrapped around her. It was like a potent aphrodisiac that melted her resistance, leaving her vulnerable and open to his every whim. "Just accept whatever I give to you, sweetheart." Those were the last words she heard before she succumbed to unconsciousness.

~~~~~
She woke up with aching joints, stretched, yawned, and opened her eyes to an unfamiliar bed. Her body was naked and bruised, and the events of the previous night were hazy. One thing was clear, though: she had her first time with an alpha who claimed to her mate.
The creaking door drew her attention, and her eyes widened as a familiar face appeared. "Eve?" she called in surprise. "How did you get here? Why are you here?"
Eve approached her with a somber expression, ignoring her questions. "Are you feeling alright?" she asked instead.
Zara shook her head, telling the truth."No, my whole body aches. I can barely move or feel myself."
Eve's face darkening, she cursed under her breath. "That bastard."
Zara gestured for her to keep her voice down. "He is a powerful alpha, Eve."
Eve rolled her eyes sarcastically. "Yes, a powerful alpha who took advantage...." she stopped abruptly, sighing. "You need to get ready. Alpha Scott needs all pack members in the hall."
Without a word, Zara limped into the adjoining bathroom to freshen up. When she returned, Eve helped her into the yellow gown and silver shoes she'd worn the previous night. Together, they left the room.
As they ventured into the large hall, the sound of whispering filled her ears. Zara bowed her head, feeling the weight of their stares and judgemental looks. The cruel words echoed in her mind: Fat, useless and ugly." That's what she believed she was.
Standing in the crowd, she watched as Scott took the center stage. Her stepsister stood beside him, and Zara felt a mix of fear and confusion.
Why was Harley here in his pack? Why was she standing with him?
Scott's voice boomed through the hall."Good morning, everyone. I've called you all here to announce my mate."
Zara's heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, she felt important.
Was the handsome Alpha going to acknowledge her as his mate in public, despite her appearance?
But all those hope shattered when Scott turned to Harley and declared."I announce to you the first princess of the Dante's moonlight pack, my mate, and your Luna, Harley Dante."
The crowd erupted in applause, but Zara only felt shame and humiliation.
Tears brimming in her eyes, she locked gazes with Scott, her unspoken "why" hanging in the air, only to be met with his mocking smirk.
Chapter 3 No escape
Zara hastily exited the hall, her legs trembling beneath her. She returned to the room assigned to her, overcome with tears and devastation.
Why did she always end up getting hurt? Why did no one want to be with her? She felt like a complete mess, a fragile and broken thing that no one knew how to fix.
Eve walked beside her, attempting to offer words of comfort."Don't cry, Zara. Everything will be alright soon."
But Zara wasn't ready to be comforted. She collapsed onto the bed, her body shaking with sobs. The event of the evening replayed in her mind, each moment a fresh stab of pain and betrayal.
What had she done wrong?
Her mind racing, she replayed every conversation, every gesture, and every moment she'd shared with Scott. Despite their brief encounter, she had genuinely believed the sincerity in his eyes when he had said she'd be his mate. But now, she wondered if her desperation to escape her step mother's torment had blinded her, leading her to latch onto the first man who'd showed interest in her. "So pathetic, Zara, you are so pathetic." She scolded herself pounding her chest in anguish.
Eve sat beside her, offering comforting words, but Zara's emotions were too raw to be soothed. As her frustration boiled over, she rolled on the bed, clutching her hair.
Eve rose and wrapped her arms around her, trying to calm her. "Please, Zara, don't do this to yourself."
Just then, the door creaked open and Scott walked in majestically, his hands tucked into his pockets. Zara recoiled at his presence, her breath catching in her throat.
"Welcome, Alpha," Eve said, bowing her head respectfully. She took a step forward, attempting to leave the room, but Zara grasped her hands, her eyes wide with fear. "Don't go, please." She pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.
The thought of being alone with the alpha terrified her.
Eve's expression softened, and she hesitated, clearly torn between her duty to leave and her loyalty to Zara.
But Scott's gaze was firm, and he nodded curtly. "Leave us, Eve," he commanded, his deep voice allowing no argument.
Eve's eyes met Zara's, filled with a silent apology, before she bowed her head and backed out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Zara was left alone with the alpha, her heart racing with the anxiety. "What do you want?" She gathered her courage and asked when Scott just stared at her.
Scott smirked, "Why the sad face? Are you crying?"
Like seriously!
Zara's expression reflected her disgust. "You are Just like the others, heartless."
Scott's expression widened momentarily before he sneered, "is this about last night?" His question touched a sensitive spot, and Zara's anger flared up intensely. "You took my virginity knowing you didn't want a real relationship with me! Why did you lie?"
Scott shrugged, his tone casual. "I didn't lie. I said you could be my mate...or rather, my side girl. Not an actual partner, but someone to keep on the side."He snickered at Zara's incredulous stare. "Did you really think I'd make someone as overweight and unhealthy as you my official mate? Don't make me laugh."
His mocking words cut deep, and tears streamed down Zara's face. "Who would want someone without a wolf as their partner, as the Luna of their pack? Only a dumb fool would do that."
"Why then did you deceive me?" She demanded, her voice shaking.
He sneered, "I just wanted to see what it'd be like to sleep with a fat girl."
Zara blinked her eyes twice in disbelief. "So that is all I'm worth to you? A twisted curiosity?" Her fist clenched at her sides as she shot him a deadly glare.
Scott would've been a dead man if looks could kill. Instead, he laughed at her furious expression. "Don't get me wrong, you're not entirely unattractive....for a fat girl," he said, his voice dripping with malice.
As he approached the bed, Zara scrambled backward until she hit the headboard.
Scott's eyes locked onto hers, his lips curling into a wet, sinister smile.
She panicked. 'What ...what do you want?"
"I want you....again," he whispered, his voice low and menacing. Before Zara could process his words, Scott's eyes flashed from green to deep red. He pinned her down, his breath against her ear making her tremble.
"I want to taste you once more. I love the feeling of thrusting into you. I'm addicted," he snarled, his voice barely human.
Zara struggled to break free, but Scott's grip was too strong. His wolf was taking over, suffocating her.
"Leave me alone, you bastard!" she screamed, kicking her legs wildly.
Scott growled, releasing his pheromones, choking back her screams. Her vision began to blur as his grip on her tightened. She felt him tear her clothes, trailing hot kisses all over her body, and then finally felt his hard thrust inside her.
She couldn't move; it was as if her body was paralysed and only responded to his movement.
As she cursed her fate, tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. Scott wiped them away as he continued thrusting inside her till she lost consciousness.
~~~~~~~~

It was almost noon when Zara finally opened her eyes. She looked around, disoriented, and found Eve sitting beside her, gently dabbing her forehead with a damp cloth.

"You're finally awake," Eve whispered.

Zara tried to sit up, but Eve held her in place. "Drink this first," Eve urged, offering her a steaming cup.

Zara sniffled the herbal concoction and shook her head. "I don't want it," She rasped, her voice hoarse from crying.

Eve sighed wearily. "You need it to regain your strength." When Zara still frowned, refusing, she coaxed."I cleaned you up and saw all the bruises on your body.

Zara eyes widened in alarm at the revelation.

"And I changed your clothes," Eve added gently.

Zara's gaze dropped, and she noticed the red gown she was wearing for the first time.

"Is the gown yours?" She asked quietly.

Eve hesitated before responding, "Alpha Scott sent clothes, shoes, and jewelries for you."she pointed towards the wardrobe.

Zara rolled her eyes."Why is he suddenly acting like a gentle man?"

"He said he wants you to look presentable when visiting the future Luna."

Oh! It was about Harley again! Zara masked her turmoil, pretending indifference as she asked, "When did he say I can go visit her?"

"As soon as you are awake."

Oh! She drained the cup, swallowing the contents in one swift motion. Without any more hesitation, she swiftly rose from the bed, hurried into the bathroom, and washed her face. She then adjusted her gown, hiding the love bites on her neck.

"That beast!"she muttered, fist clenched.

Composing herself, Zara returned to the room.

"Let's go," she said, slipping on sandals.

Eve looked concerned. "Are you sure you're ready?"

Zara nodded, resigned. "I don't have a choice." And that was the truth.

Ever since she was a child, she'd never had control over her life, always submitting to others' expectations to survive. That wasn't about to change.

Eve's eyes filled with sadness, but she remained silent. She led Zara out of the room and up the staircase to a beautifully decorated chamber.

When Eve knocked, a voice responded, "Come in."

Zara trembled at the sound, recognising her step mother's voice.

"Go inside, child," Eve whispered, nudging Zara forward. With trembling hands, Zara pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Her stepmother, Sophia, and stepsister, Harley, sat on the elegant queen-sized bed.

Harley sneered at Zara. "Look what we have here, Mother. The fat bitch herself," Harley taunted.

Zara bowed her head, lacking the courage to meet their gazes.

Sophia approached her, a wicked grin spreading across her face. "I never knew you were so eager for a man, eager to jump into a man's bed without caring if he was your sister's fiance," Sophia voice dripped with malice, her words infused with venom that made Zara's skin crawl.

She opened her mouth to defend herself, but Sophia slapped her hard across the face, silencing her. "You are shameless, just like your mother," she sneered, spitting on Zara's face.

Zara took a step back, her eyes welling up with tears. She hated being compared to her mother, who was rumoured to be a slave who had seduced the pack leader.

Shivering and tearful, she pleaded with her step mother to stop, but Sophia slapped her again and continued her verbal assault "You are evil, fat, and useless, just like your mother."

Zara begged, her voice trembling, "No, please...."Her breathing grew heavy as the familiar trauma of being belittled and ridiculed resurfaced.

The words cut deep, triggering a painful memory of being beaten, merciless whipped, and ruthlessly ridiculed just for existing. She slumped to the floor, her hands clasped over her ears, crying and pleading for them to stop.

But Sophia's laughter echoed through the room, her taunts piercing Zara's fragile heart. "You'll always be our slave, Zara, " she sneered.

Harley watched with a cruel smile, gaining satisfaction from Zara's pain and misery.

As was always the case, no one intervened, leaving Zara feeling helpless and defeated, a familiar feeling that had haunted her for years. She lay there, shattered, her tears falling silently on the cold floor.
