Chapter 1 The Creature

Prologue:

In a dynamic world, where different known species existed, which were:

The Werewolves: a species of humans who had the ability to shapeshift into wolf-like creatures, mostly under the full moon. They were stronger and faster, and more ferocious than regular wolves. They had supernatural abilities, like enhanced senses or power to control other animals. At a certain age, every werewolf was connected to their fated mate or chosen mate.

Vampires: these species were immortals, bloodsucking creatures with supernatural strength. They had the healing ability, and were also known for their speed. They could only be killed by special methods, such as sunlight, cutting off their heads, or a wooden stake through their hearts. Not forgetting their pale skin, and fangs. They also had the ability to hypnotize or seduce humans.

Humans: a well-known species, they were primates characterized by their posture, ability to use complex languages and tools. Their varieties of skin tones cannot go unnoticed. Their hair and eye colors also describe who they were. They were known for their diverse traditions and cultures. With a complicated social structure.

Witches: hmmm, these species were rare but unique. I would tell you a little I knew about them. They were people who practiced witchcraft or magic, often using charms, spells, and potions. They were divided into the good witches and the evil witches. Their powers come from a variety of sources, including nature, supernatural beings, and deities. They had the ability to transform into animals, fly on broomsticks, and curse or spells. Like what you mostly see in movies.

The Were-Pires: How do I describe this? I would say, they are not a known species. They only existed as a result of a sexual activity between a werewolf and a vampire. I mean, they are birthed by a werewolf and a vampire coming together. They are very powerful because they have the abilities of both werewolves and vampires. And we have just one of its kind.

All these different species lived in their different territories and didn't cross paths because they were enemies. Aside from the witches who were neutral.

I want to walk you through the story of a werewolf girl who was wrongly killed in the 15th century, and reincarnated as a human girl in the 21st century. But with a different face. She had a lot of prices to pay for the gift of a second life. These prices can either be a curse to her or a blessing. Oh, before I forget... Her name was Aria Grayson.

While on the other hand, was a cursed Immortal, who found himself between the werewolves and the vampire world. He was the only existing species of his kind; the were-pires. He was born of a werewolf father and a vampire mother. His name was Lucas.

Lucas and Aria found themselves in an Intertwined relationship. And then it all begins.

Chapter one

Human's world;

Aria's feet darted through the woods, and her lips parted, lost in gasp. Her trembling eyes sprinted through every corner of the woods, looking for a safe place.

A branch caught her leg, sending her crashing to the ground, her lips letting out a scream "Please.. someone help me!" She cried, her body fluttering as her heart pounded in her chest.

She could hear the footsteps behind her, getting closer with every second that passed. Her battering heart increased as her eyes met the scary men in black suits in front of her, each with a wood In their hands.

"So, this is the distance your feet could carry you to, my dear, little daddy's girl." A gangster mockingly said and the rest of the gangsters maliciously laughed.

"Please, If you need money, I can give you a lot of it. Just spare my life... I beg of you." Aria cried out.

"This whore thinks she can buy us with her Daddy's money.... Stupid." Their leader mentioned and they all laughed.

Aria made to utter a word, but the swinging woods of the gangsters, which swung forward to her face, made her heart skip in fear, causing her to collapse.

A low growl suddenly filled the air, the gangsters sprinted their eyes at every corner of the woods in fear. They felt a super speed pass behind them, and a creature stood in front of them. Its eyes burned up in red, and its fangs sparkled as it thrust forward, snarling and slashing. Its claws stretched out.

The gangsters froze in fear, as the creature pounced on their leader, slashing him in half, and his blood splashed on the faces of the others. They tried to run, but the creature was too fast, its claws tearing through their fleshes, painting the atmosphere red. In a few seconds, the creature sucked the life out of all the gangsters.

The scary creature walked up to Aria, gently scooped her up, cradled her in his arms, and darted away.

*****

Werewolves' World;

Aria's eyelids blinked open, a sudden skip hit her heart as her eyes noticed the unfamiliar room.

The room was made of luxurious surroundings dressed in rich fabrics, ornate furniture, and a dissolute plush bed. Nothing of which she could remember.

Aria sat upright, her eyes uncontrollably scanning the room, but halted at a muscular body, gray eyes, chiseled nose, strong jaw, high and angular cheekbones, 6 feet tall man, who stood naked in front of the bed. His erected huge c**k that pointed right at her, made her scream and fearfully crawl to the edge of the bed.

The man walked up to her, his face emotionless. Aria raised her trembling hand, hiding her face from him. He sank his knees on the bed, held her wrist, pulled her hand from her face then slanted forward. "MATE." He spoke. His deep voice came out so perfectly. He wrenched his face on her neck, his nose sniffing through it.

Aria felt his warm breath and her body froze in fear.

He stared at her face in confusion, "You are human," gazing right into her eyes, "Do you feel our Mate Bond?"

Aria instantly shook her head, "I- I don't know what you are talking about, please just let me go," her face lowered in fear.

His face contorted into a scowl, "The Moon Goddess must be playing tricks with me. Why give me a useless human as my mate?" Letting go of her wrist. He moved away from the bed, picked up his clothes, and threw them on his body.

Aria's rapid breathing started decreasing, as she saw he was no more naked. Then she felt a little comfortable. "Please, how do I go home?" Her voice came out calm.

He sat on a couch closer to the bed, his eyes fixed on her. "You don't like your new home?" He mentioned, giving her an awkward smile.

Aria's eyes widened in surprise seeing a faint smile on his face, and suddenly she noticed how good-looking he was. But she needed not to be distracted. "Why did you bring me here?" She frowned.

"I've been looking for you for centuries. I found you in the woods and brought you to our home."

She pointed a finger to herself, "Searching for me?... Our home?" Suddenly, she busted out in laughter, everything he said sounded funny to her ears. "Now, I understand what is going on. You've mistaken me for someone else." She smiled.

He softly shook his head in disagreement in response to what she said.

She awkwardly laughed, staring right at him, "See, Mr strange.."

"Lucas! My name is Lucas, not stranger."

She whiffed, "Ok, Lucas. I now understand everything you are saying. Yes, I am the one... What do you call it again? MATE.." she said, her feet slowly coming down from the bed.

Lucas slightly raised his brow, "Do you feel the mate bond?"

She nodded her head in agreement, "Yes, I do." Her feet suddenly felt the floor, she stood up in a hurry and made to run. He grabbed her waist in an instant and pinned her to the wall, holding her hands up tightly.

Aria's heart raced faster. A faint smile curled on her lips as she felt how strong and fast he was. "I think he is from the military." She thought to herself, her heart still pounding rapidly.

Lucas bent forward, "You only run when I want you to." He coldly said.

"F**king let me go!" The echo of her voice could be heard in every corner of the wall.

He mildly chuckled, stared at her lips, and brought his lips closer to hers.

Aria squeezed her eyes in fear, "Don't do it please," she uncontrollably shook her head, "Please stop it, I'm married." Tears made her sight blurry.

Lucas paused, his eyes darted back and forth as his brow furrowed in confusion. He let go of her, taking a few steps backward. His face lowered in frustration, "Leave," he ordered her.

Aria made to leave but halted, as her mind reminded her of the incident that led her to the woods.

Early that day, Aria had gone to do some groceries but she noticed she'd forgotten her purse. She rushed back home but halted in shock as she heard her husband, Jasper conversation over a phone call.

"I have just three days to complete my mission. I promise, I will make Aria take her last breath." Jasper had spoken over the phone.

Aria's jaw dropped in shock, her ears couldn't believe what they'd just heard. Aria and Jasper had been married for nine months. However, no intercourse occurred. She'd told him she wanted to wait until she'd fallen in love with him. She'd promised her late parents that her virginity would be given to the man she loved.

Her extended families were the ones who introduced Jasper to her and suggested she marry him. She was just recently made the chairperson of the HillStone Enterprise and the position requires her to be married.

Aria, still lost in shock over her husband's conversation, tried to run away, but her feet stumbled, hitting a vase and causing it to smash on the floor. Jasper, who didn't notice Aria's presence at first, darted his eyes at her in surprise. But she suddenly fled.

Aria had driven through the lonely road, wondering why her husband was also after her life. But suddenly she noticed some cars filled with gangsters, chasing after her car. She speedily drove, but her car got to a dead end. She packed her car, came down, and darted into the woods in fear, the gangsters chased after her.

Aria brought back her mind to Lucas who just stood in a corner, his hands in his pocket. She'd known that stepping out, her life was in serious danger, and she could use his military position to her advantage.

She walked up to Lucas, stared right into his eyes, "Please protect me." She begged.

Chapter 2 I need an heir

Lucas whiffed, a faint smile playing on his lips, "Why would the almighty Lucas, protect a low specie, like you?" He walked toward his dressing table, leaned on it, and wrapped his hands around his chest.

She followed him, stopping in front of him. "I will pay you, just name your price."

"Money? I have too much of it. Offer something else."

She anxiously downed her spit in her throat. "What was it you called me earlier? Something like Ma..."

"Mate."

"Yes. I can be your mate."

He chuckled in amusement, "How can a married woman be my mate?"

She stared at him in confusion, "Why can't I be the mate? And what does this mate thing even mean?"

He moved closer to her, and her feet moved backward, almost stumbling, but he held her by the waist from falling. Gazing right into her eyes, "You will be my Luna, and only my kind can be Luna."

"W- what is Luna?" She asked in a shaking voice.

"My partner. What do you humans call it? .... WIFE."

Her face froze in shock. She freed herself from his hold, shaking her head in disagreement. "No, I can't offer that." Her face filled with disappointment, "What else can I offer you, please?" She responded.

Lucas stared at her. The sadness on her face made his heart ripped a bit. It was the mate bond hitting his heart. He knew he needed her as much as she needed him. He'd been searching for her for years because she was the only one who could end his damn curse.

Lucas was born into the CageMoon Pack in the 15th century. His late father, Alpha Damien, was very evil and wicked. He had fallen in love with a vampiress, Elvira, and had made her Luna. Which was a taboo. Lucas was born a were-pire. He was the first of his kind, and might probably be the last if the curse is not broken.

The only people who knew about his identity, aside from his parents, were his mother's greedy and evil brother, Atticus, who was a vampire, and the evil witch, Elphaba, who did an evil spell for Luna Elvira; so she could be able to come out under the sunlight.

In one of the war clashes between werewolves and vampires, Lucas's parents were killed, and he became the Alpha at a young age. In the 15th century, all werewolves lived under a single pack and had just one Alpha, and Beta.

In years time, lots of gossip, and questions arose about his identity because he was ageless. Yes, immortal. His vampire's blood made him immortal, and his werewolf's blood made it possible for him to come out under the sunlight. Lucas knew he needed to hide his identity from the werewolves, if revealed, he would be killed. He made himself invisible, making his Betas to handle the affairs of the pack. And in centuries, he had no less than 18 Betas who had passed away one after the other, leaving him with, Sebastian, in the 21st century.

Lucas was cursed by the Moon Goddess from birth; He will never have an heir, and the only person who could break this curse would be his fated mate, and it would happen only "if she falls in love with him."

Lucas was the only werewolf who was never gifted a mate. He waited and searched for his possible mate over centuries. On that fateful evening, when he was hunting down some vampires feeding on human blood, he caught a whiff of a sweet scent like summer rain and vanilla. Instantly, he knew he had found her. And he traced the scent down to the unconscious Aria, whose life was almost cut short by gangsters.

"What else can I give to you, aside from the mate thing, Mr Lucas? Nope.. I mean Lucas." Aria giggled, cutting him off from his thoughts.

He smirked, "An heir, before I die."

She looked him in the eyes, "Why would a young person talk about death? You are either the same age as me or a little older. Tell me, are you depressed?" She asked in concern.

Lucas pulled his face closer to hers, scanning through it. The corner of his mouth turned into a smirk, indicating amusement over what she said. He booped her nose, making her feel like a child. "You are one funny human." He chuckled.

She snatched her nose away, covering it with her right hand. 'Why does he always call me human, like he is some sort of Alien or something?' Speaking to herself.

"Are you giving me an heir?" His voice arrived stiff.

She slightly raised her brows, "Are you a pervert, that is always horny?"

"I need an heir."

Aria let out a deep gust of frustration, "I can see you won't be of any help, I will look for someone else to protect me, and be my bodyguard" She made to walk away but halted, staring at him, "I don't know how you helped me survive those gangsters, but thanks to you anyway, for saving my life." She faintly smiled and walked away.

But Lucus followed closely behind her. He knew he couldn't lose her after many centuries. He held her back by her wrist, "I will be it."

"You will be what?"

"Your bodyguard."

That was the best option for him. A bodyguard role would make him always be around her. And with time, he would lure her into his bed and make her have his heir. So he thought.

Aria's eyes flashed as she gazed at him, a lit smile spreading across her face. She wrapped her tiny hands around his broad body, pressing her cheek against his chest, letting out a little giggle of excitement. At that moment, Aria felt like nothing could ever bring her down again.

Lucas gave her a warm embrace. She was almost invisible in his arms. Now, imagine a 5'3 lady and a 6-ft man in an embrace. Yes, that is it.

Aria immediately put herself together and drew backward, softly clearing her throat. "I will make a contract available in our next meeting. You will also get to see your payment offer."

Lucas whiffed in amusement, 'I love my human mate already. She acts kind, even though she is weak. But why were those men trying to hurt her?' his expression suddenly changed into anger, 'I will find out who sent them, and when I do, they will feel my wrath...' his thoughts cut short by Aria snapping her fingers at his face.

"I need a car to take me home." She blurted.

He picked her up from her legs, and cupped her on his chest.

She made to scream.

But, he interrupted her, "Close your eyes, and trust me," he calmly said.

Aria squeezed her eyes closed, and in a few seconds, they were at her car.

Human's World;

She was shocked and tried to utter a word, but Lucas hypnotized her. Wiping the memory of him teleporting them.

"Whenever you need me, just call my name. And I will be by your side," he softly said, causing her to sleep. And he laid her softly on the backseat of the car, And he flew away.

In a few minutes, Aria woke up, her eyes ran everywhere in confusion.

Her breath came in a short gasp, she exclaimed, "How did I get here?"

Chapter 3 Aria’s scar

Aria finally arrived home, not able to explain to herself why she'd trusted Lucas and found solace in him, a total stranger.

Her mind couldn't stop thinking about the handsome guy she'd just made her bodyguard. Huge smile plastered her face as she walked into her living room. She'd never believed she would finally find someone who could put her troubled heart to rest.

"Why would a CEO miss an important meeting?" Desmond, her Uncle, cuts her off her excitement, bringing her back to reality.

Her heart skipped when her eyes met with Jasper, who sat beside Desmond on a sofa.

"I know you are the CEO, but I can't watch you behave so irresponsibly," Desmond yelled.

Desmond was the eldest son of the Crawford extended family, he was the best icon of evil and wickedness, also filled with greed, and could do anything to get what he wanted.

Aria was born into the Crawford extended family, the third richest in North America. They own lots of companies, but the largest was HillStone Enterprises, which was one of the leading companies in the country. The Crawfords were always embroiled in a battle for control. Aria's father was the second son but was made the chairman, because of his intellectual and intelligent nature. This made him the center of hate and envy from the rest of the family, especially from his elder brother, Desmond.

Aria, alongside her parents, was in a planned ghastly accident, which took the lives of her parents, but luckily she survived. She was made the chairperson because her father had willed everything to her before his death. This made her extended family hate her so much, and her life was always threatened by unknown sources. She knows her extended family hated her, but couldn't imagine the lengths they could go to strip her of her position.

Aria scanned her eyes at the faces in her living room, one after the other. She felt trapped, her heart pounding faster as she clutched her fists, trying to put herself together.

The last thing she'd wanted was to appear weak in front of them; her uncle, Desmond. His wife, Susan. Aria's husband, Jasper, and her aunt, Linda.

The scene of Jasper's conversation flashed back into her mind, but she couldn't say a word about it. She'd already known no one would believe her. She was alone in this lonely world, surrounded by wicked and evil people.

"If not for your precious husband, who had informed the family that you had run away for no reason, we wouldn't have known what was going on," Linda commented.

"The Crawfords are known for their well-behaved characters. Don't drag this family name into the mud," Desmond added, picking up the glass of whisky in front of him, and taking a sip.

Aria sighed, "I went to get fresh air." She mildly spoke, her angry gaze not leaving Jasper.

Desmond stood up and walked up to her. "Don't burn my late brother's hard work to ashes." He sneered at her, his nose wrinkled in disgust.

She nervously gulped down her spit.

"Make sure to be the good daddy's girl you are, and don't forget to feed your husband, he looks thin." He snapped and walked away. The rest stood up and followed behind, leaving Jasper and Aria.

Aria stared right at Jasper, as her face contorted with rage. "Why did you do it?" She retorted.

Jasper stood up and moved toward her, "What are you talking about, love?" His voice came out tender and perfect.

"You sent gangs to kill me," tears filled her eyes.

Jasper's mouth hung open in a perfect "o" shape, shaking his head in confusion, "What are you talking about, Aria? What gangsters? Why would I want to kill my wife?" He held her by the wrist and looked her straight in the eyes, "What is going on, love? Please talk to me."

Aria's lips quivered, "I overheard your phone conversation. You vowed to kill me." She burst into hot tears.

Confusion plastered on Jasper's face, "No... my love. That conversation was not about you. I'm very sorry for making you feel this way." Pulling her closer to himself, and her teary eyes met with his.

He brushed the tears from her cheeks with his thumb, his expression full of compassion. "I'm sorry, Aria, I didn't inform you earlier. My sick dad was almost poisoned by his caregiver. The news came as a shock to me, and I promised to kill her soon as a result of anger," he smiled, "It's funny how she has the same name as you." Jasper explained as he warmly embraced Aria and led her into the bedroom.

He helped her to sit on the bed, "I will prepare warm water for you." A big smile ran through his face. Jasper's feet darted into the bathroom and in a few seconds, he came back to Aria. "Everything is ready, go have your bath, my love."

Aria stood up, walked into the bathroom, and had a warm bath. When she was done, she threw a light pink cotton robe on her body, and they both kissed good night.

Jasper went back to the living room.

Aria crawled into the bed, and within minutes, she was fast asleep.

Suddenly, her body thrashed and jerked on the bed as if she was fighting against unseen forces. In an unrecognizable world, she found herself surrounded by people. A man stood in front of her with a blinking sharp sword, "Please, don't kill me," she begged. But they all laughed at her.

She struggled to see their faces, but it was blurry.

"Alpha Damien, please spare my daughter's life," a man bonded with chains pleaded, but his head was immediately separated from his neck.

Her heart raced faster as the said Alpha Damien, approached her with the sword stained with blood, and struck her stomach.

Aria snapped upright in bed, her heart beating in her chest. She was dripping in sweat, her breath coming in a short gasp. She gingerly felt the scar on her stomach, tracing its shape with her trembling fingers.

Suddenly, it started to sting, as if it were freshly cut, a little blood dripping out of it.

She softly screamed as a wave of pain stabbed through her body.

"Not this again," she wept.
