[System speaking]
*Mc thinking*
Akira Yuuto was recognized as a genius, yet indolent to those who knew him. Despite having the talent to become anything he wanted to be; he chose to waste his gift and spend his time sleeping, drinking, and partying, and for that, he was said to be a fool.
Currently, the said fool has regained consciousness. Lying on a white sofa, inside what seemed to be an office. Two large glass windows allow in natural light, a large white sofa facing hazel leather chairs, and a wooden coffee table between them. The room was an office combined with a personal bedroom.
When he was finished looking around, he thought back to his life. His family had five members; his parents, two older brothers, and himself. His mother was a world-renowned artist, worlds and emotions seemed to seep through her brush onto the canvas. Most of her paintings were awed at the Louvre Museum in Paris. His father was famous to the world for the way his fingers danced across the piano. His older brothers were eager to follow in their parent's footsteps.
Akira at a young age had been applauded for his ability to do both but was soon found to lack motivation. Overall, his life was unaccounted for. The only thing that was notable before Akira's life ended, was that he saved his father's life from a car crash. With this act, his life would not be perceived as meaningless.
As his thoughts on how his life came to an end he heard; [Welcome Mr. Akira, I am....]
Akira shifted his head towards where the sound came from but found the room vacant. Until he glanced at a flash of light coming off what he thought to be a wall, Just then noticing the large computer-like screen. Which displayed a hologram of a male body and numbers.
Akira approached the computer and came to a stop in front of it. He stood facing the screen and observed the blinking light on it.
["Hello Mr. Akira I am Diasuke, welcome to the balance plane"]
His eyebrows raised. An air of questioning clung to the air.
"A what? I am dead so shouldn't I be in some kind of underworld or heaven or even hell? How are you speaking anyway? You're just an oversized computer."
["If you would allow me to explain Mr. Akira, I am not a computer but an artificial intelligence created to guard and watch over humanity. As for how I speak, I have a conscience. As for the matter of your death, you are correct that you should be elsewhere but due to orders you were sent here."]
"What do you mean, due to orders?" He cocked his head to the side.
["I meant exactly that Mr. Akira, you have been chosen by a divine being and tasked to do their bidding in the mortal world and that being in the *The Keeper of Balance*. His purpose is to keep a stability between positive and negative energy in the universe; caused by the decisions and actions made by the beings residing in the universe"]
The hologram of the man changed into scales leaning from one side to the other, going along with his explanation.
"What exactly is my task and why was I chosen?"
["Your task is to change the fates of people or beings whose suffering has caused a great impact on the justice of the universe and their worlds. You will be given a task and a target in each world you visit and change the outcome of their lives. You were chosen because you didn't have much impact on the universe. You could be said to be neutral in the balance of things which makes you the perfect agent for *The Keeper of Balance*"]
"What do I get out of this, and also where is this and what is your role?"
["This is where you get tasks and targets assigned to you like in an office. My role is that I am the one who assists you with your tasks and provides a way for you to get in touch with the higher-ups and I am also the one who gives you the information you need"]
*Expectations*
["If you finish the assigned tasks and help reduce the negative energy, your soul becomes more powerful, and you earn a salary check after each successful world and get promoted which gives you more freedom and ways around the rules. The rules are simple; you can't cause the deaths of the heavens' favorite children, which is the {male lead ฯ female lead}. You can't allow anyone to know who you are and most importantly, the missions and tasks come before anything else"]
"Well, I never imagined having no motivation would work out this way, I think being dead is more fun than being alive."
["I am glad you find being dead enjoyable, but I need to inform you that you need to throw away anything you believe to be true and get started to witness the truth of the universe"]
"Can we get started? I'd like to experience it."
["Yes, Mr. Akira, the system is computing....... field, world located........ transporting in. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1,.. transfer complete"]
Akira sat at a desk and appeared to have been doing paperwork. Looking around, he realized he was sitting on a white desk chair. In front of him was a desk, holding papers, a computer, and a few files. There were also a few potted plants on the edge of the desk. On either side of the desk, two black shelves were holding a few binders and other things. Next to the shelves on the right, there was an enormous window that showed the outside.
When he finished looking around, he heard Daisuke speak.
He looked around for him and noticed a smartwatch on his wrist.
"Is that you Daisuke?"
["Yes Host, it is me. In each world, I will take on a form that will make it easier for me to assist you. Would you like to know your tasks in this world?"]
"Yes"
["Please read the events that took place in this world and the people, then I will release the tasks."]

He was currently in the body of Ryden Ryu, the head of the development team for an orphanage park construction. They assigned their team to create a danger-free and fun park for orphans. However, there were complications with the project. The people Ryden hired failed to do their jobs, which later led to the deaths of many children. Framed and caught red-hand as a company spy. Ryden was friends with Raiden in high school but later drifted away from Raiden when his (Ryden's) mother died. Raiden was not aware of his mother's death and thought that Ryden was using him all along to get a simple life in high school. Therefore, when caught, Raiden made sure it was a life sentence. Ryden later found out all these were events caused by Katsuro, who was jealous because although Katsuro and Raiden were dating, Raiden remained attached to Ryden. Katsuro was also the secretary of Raiden. Ryden then plotted and broke out of prison and tried to kill Katsuro. However, Ryden died, and this led to Raiden finally realizing that he loved Katsuro and they lived happily ever after.

["Ryden Ryu's fate was unjust, and induced by the child of fate and heaven. This made it have a greater impact on the energy of this world and made it unbalanced. I have given you tasks to fix this."]
Tasks:
-Change the fate of Ryden Ryu.
-Make sure the orphanage project is completed.
-Mend things with Raiden.
-Ensure the survival of the orphans.
-Make Katsuro meet a terrible end.
"Isn't Katsuro the child of fate and heaven? How do you expect me to make him meet a terrible end?"
["It's because of Mr. Katsuro's actions that innocent children's lives were lost, and an innocent man was put through pain and suffering. He is not heaven or fates' favorite child."]
"That means that his halo is no longer active, correct?"
["Yes, Host."]
"That makes completing the tasks easier. Where are we in the plot right now?"
["Currently, Katsuro(male protagonist) has become jealous of you, and feels the need to destroy you."]
"Well, that is good. It means that I can get all my tasks done, since I arrived before people distrusted the original."
["Yes, it does."]
Knock, knock, knock......
Akira looked down at Daisuke and asked, "Who is it?"
["It's Mr....."]
"Who is it?" Akira asked.
"It's Mr. Manuel Hisashi," he replied.
"Why is he knocking at my door?" Akira asked Daisuke.
"I believe he is here to assign you to the orphanage project," Daisuke answered.
The knocks increased in speed, as well as volume. Manuel was apparently a hot-tempered and impatient person. Akira walked out of the room, through the doorway of the study, which led to a long hallway with two doors on each side.
At the end of the hallway, past the two doors, was a staircase, which led to a small landing. The landing then opened up to the living room with hardwood flooring, where two sofas facing each other. There's also a small side chair, and to the right was a door that led to the kitchen. A vast window that reached from the floor to the ceiling was in front of a dining table with four chairs facing one another and two facing from the two edges of the table, and directly in front of all this was the door. Overall, the original had good taste.
Akira was dragged out of his thoughts when the sound of knocking came from the door again.
"Host, shouldn't you be answering that?"
"Yes, of course," Ryden replied.
He rushed up to the door and swung it open. Standing in front of him was a tall and slim man with dark-brown hair, deep blue eyes, a strong jawline, high cheekbones, with smooth muscles of a swimmer, wearing a black suit with a black striped shirt, and a black overcoat with a gray scarf. In short, he looked every bit the main lead that he was supposed to be.
Ryden had yet to take a full look at his appearance, but just by looking at Manuel's form, he knew that his own body had a lot more lean but hard muscles and an inked tattoo of black flowers surrounding an old-fashioned watch. He was also taller than the male lead by about a few inches.
"Good evening, Ryden," Manuel greeted with a grim face.
"Good evening, Mr. Manuel," Akira replied, mimicking Manuel's cold and indifferent intonation.
He stood there staring at Manuel, waiting for him to say something. Neither said anything, which led to the growing silence to eventually become awkward. Daisuke could only watch on as his host and Manuel continued to have what seemed to be a staring contest. After a moment, he felt the need to interfere before things got even more awkward.
Daisuke reminded his host of his manners. "Host, should you not invite him in? It's rude to let your guest stand at the door."
"Why are you asking me, I'm holding the door open for him? He is the one not entering and being rude and standing there like a welcome doormat."
"Welcome mat...?" Daisuke repeated what Akira said. "But host, even though you have the door wide open, you're standing in front of it."
"What? Oh, yeah..."
Ryden stepped to the side and invited the male lead inside the office. Manuel tilted his head and walked in. Ryden closed the door behind him and followed Manuel to the living room.
The two men sat on opposite sofas, and Manuel unbuttoned his suit before he sat down. He crossed his legs before placing a file folder on the table. He spoke forwardly.
"Ryden, as you have been aware of, our company does a charity event just before Christmas. If you recall, last year, we held a charity auction for children who have cancer. This year, we are planning to design a safe park for the orphans. We also plan to choose someone to be in charge of this project." He paused for a moment's breath and then continued. "This year, you have been chosen. You will lead the project, oversee it, and have the authority to make the final decisions."
Ryden nodded to show that he understood what was happening.
"Questions?" Inquired the male lead.
"One," Ryden said, and asked, "When will we start to work on the project?"
"In one week. If that is all, then I will take my leave."
"Yes. Thank you, Mr. Manuel. Please have a wonderful weekend and see you next Monday," said Ryden, while walking Manuel to the front door.
"Thank you, and the same to you."
Ryden closed the door behind Manuel, walked back into the living room, and sat on a chair.
"Daisuke?" He called out.
"Yes, Host?" Daisuke answered immediately.
"I thought it said in the plot that Manuel and Ryden were friends in high school?"
"Yes, Host. They were, but only before the death of Ryden's mom."
"I know what happened, but I still find it peculiar that Manuel is treating him as if they were never friends, to begin with. It makes you wonder just how Ryden's mom died."
"I don't know, Host. It wasn't stated in the plot. Could there be a minor glitch in the plot?"
Ryden looked outside the huge glass window. The full moon illuminated the cloudless, starry sky as the night went on. He thought that there could be more than what the original story had.
"It could be a plot hole, but it also may not be."
"What do you mean, Host?" Daisuke asked.
