The Vampire's Queen

Andra Blythe woke up from her short sleep. She decided to lay in bed for a while before she stood up and did her daily activities. She looked around her room without moving . Her room was really big , an average person would call it gigantic.

She was the Alpha's daughter, it was only right she had one of the largest rooms . Her parents' room were much larger though. Her bed was placed directly in the middle of the room. She had a princess-like bed with a huge blue curtain which covered the whole bed. On the left there was a door leading to a balcony .

She mostly sneaked out through the balcony, her parents didn't know that though. In her balcony she had a flower at the far end , chairs and table in the middle . Then a camp bed at the farther end in case she wanted to sleep outside. In the right side of her room , she had a walk-in closet. She had her clothes , shoes and bags organized in her closet.

Even though she lived a simple life some things were a necessity. They had parties with other packs and she had to dress appropriately and not her preferred causal self. She had a long mirror which was her height placed at the side of her closet so as to check out her clothing after she was done dressing . Outside her closet she had her make-up table. She did simple makeup so her makeup table wasn't so full. She kept her books which she borrowed from the table at one side of the table. She loved reading , due to this fact she was the top of her class and peers. She was greatly admired as a lady and described as beauty and brains. Her bathroom was close to the balcony . She had a big bathtub , a shower and toilet. Her bathroom was a bit spacious and she loved it .

She looked at the wall clock and saw it was already 7:40am ,she was already ten minutes late. She decided to stand up and prepare for the day. Her 18th birthday was coming up and preparations for the day were stressing her out .

Even though everyone was excited about the day , she felt they were overdoing things. She preferred a low-key celebration. But her parents had other things in mind. Because she rarely went out and only went to important outings , her parents felt she didn't associate enough to find her mate.

Her phone started to ring and she checked who was calling so early in the morning and it was her best friend , Ariana. " Hello bestest , this is a little too early don't you think?"

"No darling it's not, get your lazy hardworking ass up , it's morning already. Are you going to come over today?".

" Yes babe ,I will , I want to talk about some things with you also. "

" Okay then , I'll be expecting you".

They decided to celebrate her birthday and invite so many packs in attendance so she could find her chosen mate.

But she had other plans , after she made a public appearance thanking everyone who came , she was going to go to her favorite spot in the greenhouse where no one would find her , so she could have a quiet time.

She lazily dragged herself to her bathroom and took a quick bath using hot water. She planned to soak herself longer than she did but she had to meet her parents and discuss the upcoming birthday party. She was going to plead with them if they could make it low-key. Even though there was a high chance they wouldn't agree , she would still try her best.

She had her bath and was done in 15 minutes and she went to her closet to pick her outfit.

She picked a yellow flowered shirt which hugged her shape perfectly and a high waist black jeans . She tucked in her shirt and wore a white flip flop . She was supposed to wear her slippers instead but she planned on going to see her best friend Ariana who lived three houses from her. She packed her hair into a messy bun and left her room. Her father was in the kitchen with her mother as usual.

They were the biggest love birds ever. Their bond was so strong that if one person fell ill , the other person also fell ill. When her mother was in labor , her father felt everything she felt and because of that decided after that they won't be having anymore children because he didn't want her to go through the pain again.

"Good morning father, good morning mother" her smile was evident , she loved her parents very much. " My darling daughter, good morning honey, hope you slept well" "Yes father"

"You keep on looking like your mother more and more each day" " Oh please my love , I believe she's looking more like you, she's having a masculine body instead of a feminine one" " No mother , I think I look like you both" she knew the childish banter wasn't going to stop if she didn't solve it equally .

" You're right darling , hope you slept well" " Yes mother I slept very well thank you , hope you two slept well? " " Yes darling, me and your father slept extremely well" she said as she winked to her mate and husband. Andra understood they must have had some intense banging during the night, she rolled her eyes and laughed.

" Father , mother , I want to talk to you about something after breakfast" "Darling, hope it's not too serious ?" Her father asked with concern vivid on his face. "No father, it's not so serious", her mother narrowed her eyes at her as if piercing her mind and reading it, she knew her mother probably guessed what she wanted to talk about.

"I have a very strong feeling. I know what you want to talk about, and I'm sure you probably know the outcome but we would still have the conversation. I appreciate you opening up to us darling".

" Thank you mom and dad, I'll be in the dining room ``''Okay darling" her dad said while looking at her mother.

She knew they were mind linking each other and from the look on her father's face , she knew she wasn't going to win. She decided to change her negotiation , from having a low party to inviting a few members. Only the important neighboring packs who were their allies would be allowed to come .

She went to the dining and sat as her father and mother prepared the breakfast. They were having buttermilk pancakes and eggs. It is her favorite meal. It seems her parents also wanted to bribe her.

In her pack each member lived in a separate house. This was to ensure they had their privacy. They had enough land to build a thousand houses but only built the necessary. Her father served the food on the dining table and they all sat down together to eat.

Her parents were eating slowly and feeding each other like they were trying to slow down time.

"Mom, dad , if you both eat like a tortoise , in an hour max you would be done, just saying". " Yea yea , we won't want to rush our food" " Okay mother". She knew they were definitely going to take their time so she focused on her phone, scrolling through pages on Instagram. She later went to Facebook to view her zeeworld TV profile. She had missed last night's episode because she was so tired and needed to work the next day. Then she went to Instagram and messaged her friend about her coming over .

Her parents finally finished their meal and turned to her, "So what is it you wanted to talk about?" "It's about my upcoming party" "I knew it , I knew that was exactly what you wanted to talk about sweetie " " Wait mom , you don't understand, I'm not saying you should cancel the party..." " So what are you saying then hun, we aren't doing a low profile party " .

"No mom, what I'm saying is only important people and packs should be invited, such as our allies . We can also be less safety conscious."

" That is very true, it's really safer, but is that what you really want dear" her father who had been quiet all along finally spoke." Yes dad, that's what I want" she knew the allies idea would work because safety was very important.

" I was thinking of making a list of allies but I'm sure you would know them better father" "You already have everything planned out don't you ? '' Andra laughed loudly , she really couldn't get anything past her father. He knew how to catch her spot on.

But now that her plan for the party had worked even though she had to adjust it a little , it was still better compared to before. She had better make a list of all allies she wanted, else her father would invite everyone then the plan wouldn't work anymore because the motive wouldn't be achieved.

"I'll be back father, I want to assist you in making the list of our allies " " There's no need daughter, I can do that myself" " No father , just take it as me learning the ways of handling the packs, it's good to know our allies and enemies, right father? " Her father smiled at her knowing she had won the argument. He shook his head and resumed talking with her mother. She just had to make a little number of allies then the problem was solved.

Alaric's Pov

He had just finished his very cold shower. He completely drained the blood of the maid who betrayed him . She was giving doctors information about him. He planned to go after the doctors before they said anything.

This wasn't the first time something like this had happened. It has happened countless times over six hundred years now . It was through this same way his parents were killed , so he wasn't going to make the same mistake of pitying humans.

They were food to him and always will be. Nothing more . He went to his closet and looked around, he settled on black body hug top and pencil jeans. Just because he was the oldest doesn't mean he has to look like it . He was the hottest vampire in his country, he loved the title and he intended to keep it that way. His hair was always silk , he had smooth wavy hair, making his oval face long and handsome.

He put on his latest collection of shoes and his wrist watch which he got from Diesel. It was part of the Mr Daddy 2.0 series. He was very rich and he loved spending his money.

He invested in real estate , had numerous companies, hotels, bars and universities. He had a meeting with his board members , they were to plan on how to expand their company to legalize selling firearms. He wanted to legally own a lot of weapons . He had been really cautious because of his constant dream, he knew something was going to happen soon and he wanted to prepare for it .

He left his house and went to his Ferrari. He had over 10 different cars . He loved fast cars because a century ago he was into racing. But no one knew that because every human who had known him had died. He drove to one of his companies where they were to have the meeting company, "Alaric building and property".

He didn't have a driver because he didn't trust them so he drove himself. Even his security stayed outside his house . People wondered if he was to be attacked unknowingly to his security but no one knew his true identity.

After thirty minutes he got to his company. The door was opened for him by his security. He went straight to his office and avoided all the girls who were eye raping him. His main goal today was to convince his board members to invest in weapons . He just had to let them know they were all popular people who needed to be able to protect themselves. He was going to use their selfish and greedy mindset against them.

He sighed as he sat in his chair picking the documents he had prepared. He missed the old days when he could do whatever and all these legal processes were not necessary , but then he had to move with the flow of the world else his identity would be exposed .

Rodrigo, his most trusted aide , came in , " we've located the doctor boss."

"Okay good, we'll go after him once we're done with the meeting ."

" Okay boss".

He stood up from his chair and proceeded to move to the conference room . His board members were already there waiting for him . They all stood up immediately he entered.

His assistant Mr Rogers greeted him" well come sir" and handed him his coffee.``Good morning sir" they all chorused as he sat down. "Good morning everyone, I believe you all went through the email I sent to you "

"Yes sir" Mrs Nalina said with enthusiasm . She agreed with him on everything because she thought that way she could get into bed with him. But he never looked at her considering she was a married woman. He might flirt and carry women but never married women.

"I think it's a very good business idea , considering the fact the election is around the corner , people would need to protect themselves, especially the politicians. I believe we would make a lot of profit if we work for this company and this period is the best time to set it up".

" I don't agree though," Mr Mayday said with clear disdain. He was one of the few board members who eyed his position and so did everything to bring him down. He not only disagreed with his business ideas , he also went as far as selling the company's information to competitors and giving out his location in hope he would be gunned down.

It was easy for him to see through because he had planted vampires in some of the competitor's positions and also in some of his other businesses and they all reported to him . He would deal with him but it wasn't time yet.

" Mind telling me why you don't agree Mr Mayday?" If he was going to disrupt his plan then he might as well take care of him now.

"Mr Alaric, I think it's inappropriate for citizens to be in charge of weapons. This will only increase the rate of criminal activities. Also it would seem as if we are openly supporting election violence".

" But Mr Mayday, why do you only look at the negative aspect of things?'' Miss Briana asked him. She wholeheartedly disliked him because he tried using his position to sleep with her .

When he found out , he promoted her to be in the same position as him . This greatly annoyed him as he felt belittled but who cares, he's the owner of his company and he could promote whoever he wants.

" What do you mean by that Miss Briana , you are still new to this world so don't you think you can question me when I'm talking".

"And what exactly do you mean by that Mr Mayday?" He asked as he started directly into his eyes. " Does that mean I made a wrong decision or I only employ useless people? Do you want to steal my company that badly? You go as far as selling the company private information..",

" That's not true sir",

" Oh really, do you really need me to provide you with evidence ? That won't be a problem , we'll meet in court then. If there won't be any other objections I hope we can proceed with the papers for the company? "

The thought of going to court feared Mr Mayday and made him speak desperately,he knew if he was to go to court he would definitely lose!

" Do you think you can just remove me however you wish, you should know I have been in this company ever since it started , I have rights and you can not remove me unless I want to leave you this impudent brat" Mr Mayday was fuming , he had lost all control and was speaking plainly regardless of who was watching or around.

He didn't care but unknown to him , that was exactly what Alaric wanted , for him to lose control of his mouth and implicate himself.

"And what do you mean by you have rights Mr Mayday, have you forgotten I am the sole owner of this company, just because you're a board director doesn't mean you can do as you wish. I think I need to remind you to go over the contract you signed when you started working here"

Due to his long life he had learnt to deal with people , he knew the type of person Mr Mayday was but he needed his exact behavior for his business to grow but that didn't mean he didn't put a leash on him for when he lost complete control.

" What do you mean I should read my contract?" Had he fallen into a trap why would Alaric ask him to go over his contract, that must only be because there was something he must have missed or misinterpreted, but what was it?. He was pale with thoughts.

" I think you should leave Mr Mayday, your days here are over. We will meet in court and then you can explain just how you have rights in my own company".

It might have seemed like a little slip of words but he planned on using that slip to completely crush him so he wouldn't think of coming against him .

He turned to Miss Briana feeling happy he had finally gotten rid of Mayday, he needed closure on that though "You would be taking over Mr Mayday duties immediately. You are also to move your things into his former office today. Meet the secretary for your letter of promotion, is that understood?".

" Yes sir".

"Do you have any complaints or objections I should know about?"

" Definitely not sir,thank you very much sir".

" Good".

Even though there were rumors that there was something between him and Briana ,he didn't mind. She did her job well and she got the rewards meant for her.

On the other hand, he needed to make Mayday extremely angry so he would make irrational decisions.

He dismissed the meeting and they all left, he ordered security to follow Mayday and ensure he left the company premises. Now he had to go after the doctor who was secretly collecting information on him. Before he killed the maid she dropped all information about the doctor including his family. He had no intention of going after his family but he was going to threaten the doctor to reveal how he knew about his kind and why he was studying him.

There was definitely an informant on their side who had betrayed them. He needed to find the person before he or she did any more damage. On the other hand ,after he was done with the doctors, they would make a perfect meal.

He had to quickly leave , he knew he was coming after him and if he actually captured him there was no where he could escape to . He had to immediately leave the country .

He had already booked a flight but it seems fate wasn't on his side . His flight kept getting delayed .

It had been raining heavily for two days now , so he decided to move permanently to the airport for the main time the flight would take off. He knew this would cause some issues but he would pull his connection. A little embarrassment was better than him dying.

Now he was seriously regretting taking on that research. Even though his boss Dr Sidharth told him to drop the case , he refused . He thought the man was scared because Mr Alaric was a powerful man. He must have known the truth behind everything.

Now Dr Sidharth was no longer picking his calls, he was clearly on his own now. If only he had listened ......

He had already packed his luggage and made a few phone calls , his friend worked in the airport , he was going to be sleeping in his room there. At least that was so much safer , Alaric would definitely not want to cause a scene , especially now that there were rumors that he wanted to start a new company.

He was about to leave when he hit his leg against the table and fell down heavily.

" This is a bad omen"

He didn't really believe in omens but right now ,he didn't want to take any chances.

" Or perhaps I shouldn't go to the airport anymore? But would Alaric actually cause a scene there ? ,It's better I stay in my house , after all he doesn't know where I live".

But then he thought about Alaric's connection and realized it won't take so long for Alaric to know where he lives. The airport is actually better because Alaric won't think of searching for him there. He finally decided to go to the airport.

Meanwhile..........

Alaric was in the car with Rodrigo , his trusted friend and vampire. He was many years older than Rodrigo. He was born two centuries after him but he had taken a very big liking to him ever since he was born.

He had natural instincts like his father and knew Rodrigo would be someone who he could trust and he was right to hop on that instinct.

Rodrigo had been his best friend ever since. People always thought they were gay and he allowed them entertain those thoughts because no matter how you clarify things with people , they would still believe what they want to . The only thing was anyone who directly confronted him about this would definitely pay for it.

He knew Dr Sam was planning to leave the country to escape from him. But due to the weather changes , he hadn't been able to leave, even if he could , he would have dragged him from wherever he went to . His connection wasn't limited to a country , it was worldwide.

As a vampire who had been living for centuries, he made sure to build connections and fortunes in so many countries . Dr Sam was currently planning to go to Russia, he knew he would be at the airport because he would have guessed he would use his connection to find his home.

Besides he already had his men watching his home and they noticed him when he left for the airport.

" Rodrigo drive faster , before he hides where he wants to in the airport" he knew he wasn't taking a flight yet , but he didn't want to cause a scene at the airport. He arrived earlier than Dr Sam did. He waited for some minutes and saw Dr Sam pull up to the airport car pack. He went to meet him and smiled at him and whispered in his ear, "I'm sure we don't want to cause a scene , think about your reputation and mine ,I can easily destroy yours in a second so just follow me quietly" he wasn't just going to destroy his reputation,he was going to make him a meal but he didn't need to know that .

Dr Sam wasn't sure what to do, if to consider his reputation or run. He heard Alaric was a very fast runner but since he was a real vampire he would be more than a fast runner, he would be the wind himself. He knew he couldn't run and he also knew he probably wasn't going to survive this.

Other people who had crossed him in the past suddenly disappeared , he was sure they would have been killed . He decided to follow him quietly, possibly he could be lucky and be free .

"Trust me , you made a very good decision" Alaric whispered to him with a smile . Anyone passing would believe they were having a normal conversation.

They went to his car and drove off. Alaric planned to take him to his torture house . He had different houses for different reasons .

This was a torture house because that was how it was designed . It had various rooms with various torture equipments . He also had a harvest room , although he had a house mainly for that purpose , he decided to build a room for harvesting in all houses just in case of any future use. His harvest room was full of equipments used to draw blood from humans . Their bloods were being drawn but at the same time they were fed supplements from another machine which would keep them alive.

It might be ruthless but it had many purposes , he didn't need to kill the people involved but rather he could put them on a slow and painful way to death. Also he had enough blood and didn't need to worry about food for a while.

They arrived at his torture house. He , Rodrigo and the doctor got down.

"Don't worry Dr Sam, this won't take long , it actually depends on your cooperation"

They all moved inside and all sat down. Alaric sat on his king size chair, Rodrigo stood behind him and Dr Sam sat in front of him.

" So tell me Dr do you mind telling me why you were making a research on me , was I so popular that you decided to bring em down by all means? Also it has come to my knowledge that you know my secret so you are now a threat to me".

" Oh no , I can't be a threat to you at all , I'm very good at keeping my mouth shut. I don't say things I'm not meant to say or even pass my boundary".

"Are you sure about that Dr Sam? " He motioned to Rodrigo to test that ability.

Rodrigo moved close to Dr Sam and asked him "What exactly is Mr Alaric?"

"Even though he's a vampire , no one would ever hear it from my mouth" Dr Sam was shivering in fear at this point.

" But you just told me about him"

" I thought....." Dr Sam looked to and fro the two men and suddenly realized he had been set up he wasn't supposed to mention Alaric was a vampire , any chance he had to surving this , he just blew it up.

"Do you see now why I said you're a threat to me Dr Sam?" Alaric said with a sly smile on his face. " Do you mind telling me who put you up to this , because I don't want to believe you just woke up one morning and started suspecting me ."

At this point Dr Sam knew he had to completely comply because they probably knew everything and wanted to hear it from his mouth.

"Two years ago , a woman came to meet me with a picture of a man that looked exactly like you. I was shocked because this picture was taken in the early 1900s but this is 2025 ,so how could the same person still be the same ? I at first decided to ignore it but it kept bothering me . I decided to search around for more pictures and I saw some even as far back as 1850s . The problem was they all looked exactly like you. At first I thought it was probably your families, but the resemblance was to striking. So I started checking your family background and I noticed something. Your parents died when you were every little but no age was specified when they died . The same thing happened to your father and grandfather. Or rather your supposed grand father , he also died when your father was young. Then it occurred to me , you might have been playing father and son role!. But how you managed to remain the same puzzled me . So I started checking former researches it there was a drug that could maintain youthfulness. Then I came across an article on vampires. It was a very old article published in the middle 1900s but it didn't regain any publicity because the content was implausible. So many people disregarded it then . But some people who believed kept some copies and that was how I was able to get one. I found out vampires could live practically for Infinity. They were even more powered if they had a mate. But then , do you have a mate Mr Alaric? "
