The Vampire's Assasin.

Here at the bottom, it will be more difficult for me to find the way because of the monsters chasing me and I know there will be more of them later. I will lose even more chances to find the way when every twist and turn of this maze changes again. I have to go upstairs.

"Right!"

When an idea entered my mind, I immediately climbed the vine and waited for the bird to bite me. Up here I can see everything and those disgusting monsters can't chase me. I can also escape from this bird more easily unlike them.

I let the bird take me away. The more he flies at me, the faster his thrusting becomes more windy. When I got a closer look at the center, which was about a few meters away, I grinned. I hope the way is here. The way must be here!

When I was under the center, I elbowed the bird again. I fell straight to the ground but that's what I thought.

The ground shattered like glass. Everything was dark and I felt like I was drowning. When I saw the light, I immediately went down to it.

When I got up I caught my breath. I'm in another place. What surprises me is that I'm sitting here in a bathtub. I was holding both sides. I seem to be on another floor now. I succeeded before an hour was up.

"Magnus Lewis Walker, king from the Verdania Kingdom. Are you ready for the Fifth Gate? You can go up and out the door right now. You need to be out of the room within five minutes before the matchmaker catches up with you. On your first run the mechanics for this floor will be told."

I was finally at the Fifth Gate. After this, I will be halfway through. But what is there this time? The place looks scary. I felt like I was in an abandoned house.

Magnus

I got up from the bathtub. My clothes were so wet that I was embarrassed. Water will drip from my body. I only have a few minutes to get out of this room.

It's dark around, there's a torch in every saying. I saw a table by the side of the door so I walked towards it. There is a mirror on the table and three keys. Looks like I'll use it for this floor. I immediately put on the glasses and was impressed. I just tried a pair of glasses with night vision lenses. I could see the room clearly even though it was dark.

The key jingled as I put it in my pocket. The room rang because I didn't realize five minutes had passed. It shakes and feels like an earthquake. When the door opened I screamed.

In all my life, I was just scared now. A tall monster entered. His eyes were two buttons, with a large mouth with many sharp teeth like needles, it was also bloody. He is not wearing any clothes so his broad chest is exposed. Its hands and feet are long and sharp at each end. I was about to run when his mouth suddenly grew.

He beckoned me closer to him with his sharp hand. It's just a prick and no fingers so I don't know what to call a creature or monster like him. All I know is that he is disgusting to look at and I don't want him to touch my handsome face as well as my body.

"Get away from me!" I shouted and immediately kicked him to cut off his tentacle.

I ran. I was still soaking wet from earlier but doubled over now because of my sweat. The only time in my entire life I've been so alone was because I was touched. I'm leaving this floor right now!

I quickly ran away from that creature. I heard its scream. When the monster's screams stopped, the advertiser's voice echoed, always giving warnings, greetings, and instructions.

"Greetings to you, King Magnus from the Verdania Kingdom. The Fifth Gate begins now. You must not be caught by the fetcher or the creature chasing you. You must find the locked doors and use the keys you hold. You can stay on that floor forever, but you can't leave until you find the doors. This floor is like a game. You'll have to hide when the fetcher yells and when you die you'll be back. First, you're welcome, King Magnus. Your speed, senses, and strength will be tested here."

That monster is called a fetcher. But the fetcher looks different from the shows I've seen in the theater. That seems to be the matchmaker in this world.

I never stopped running. I noticed that I still had drops of water on every step. I have to take off my clothes. I have no other choice!

I took off my top and jogging pants. I just threw it and ran faster with my vampire speed.

When the monster screamed and I heard its footsteps, I entered a room. I hid behind the cabinet. I forgot to close the door so I cursed in my mind. The messenger entered the room.

It looks really scary. I just felt him. I felt that he was going to peek behind the cabinet so I hid on the side before quickly going back again just as he was about to catch me on the other side. Sensory strength, that's where it can be tested. If it was a vampire I would have been caught because he would surely hear my heartbeat.

When the monster left I slowly went out. I listened to the footsteps. It's far away, so I went in the other direction, which is the same direction I was running earlier.

I was just running straight when I saw a burn. Surprisingly, there was a burn here when there wasn't much use in the place except the furniture.

I looked at it and just in time, I saw a map. I grinned and immediately entered a room where I could hide. It's hard for me to hang out while checking this map. Maybe the fetcher will suddenly catch up with me and swallow me.

There are many twists and turns but it's easy. There is a sign where I am so I know where to return when I get lost. The paper is large but the drawings are only in the center. All I have to do now is find the door. This long hallway on the north side is amazing. I have to go and see it. Maybe it's one of those doors with a key.

I heard the scream of the beast again so I immediately hid. It entered again and circled before exiting. I was inside the cabinet so it didn't notice me.

When it came out, I ran to the long hallway. I'm holding the map. When I looked at my body, I scratched the back of my neck. I was naked and my beautiful body was exposed. They didn't even give me shoes on any floor I walked on. They deliberately left me alone. Maybe the same with other kings. They seem to train us on our feet to hone our faster running.

As long as I ran, I arrived. Suddenly I heard the cry of the monster. He was getting closer to where I was. There is nowhere to hide in this long hallway.

Using my speed as a vampire I immediately scanned the hallway. There were paintings so I looked at the backs one by one. When I turned over this painting of an old man I saw a key. I was immediately able to weakly say "finally".

I took the keys out of my pocket. I was immediately embarrassed because I didn't have a pocket today! It was there in the clothes I was wearing earlier. I'm really good! Where did I take it off? I saw the monster that looked down this long hallway. When we looked at each other, it immediately screamed. I used all my speed to get away from him and find a room. I immediately hid inside a cabinet.

My mind is always cheap. If I hadn't left the key with my clothes I would have gotten past and opened that door.

When the monster entered and exited this room, I then exited. Little by little, I was dancing to his sudden screams and the rhythm of his catching me. There was little I could do to avoid it forever.

I got out of the cabinet and looked at the map. I immediately went back to what I had gone through earlier. When I saw my clothes, I immediately felt for the key in the pocket of my jogging pants. I rejoiced when it was still here.

I ran the distance from here to the long hallway. The monster screamed again so I quickly examined it. There were three keys so I tried them all before I could open it. I slightly flattened the end of the key that I used as a sign that I was done using it.

I entered the small hole. I returned the painting just as the delivery man passed by. It looked around as if it was looking for me. It didn't seem to know that I was somewhere else.

When I looked around it was different. I was in an old mental hospital. If it was just an old house before, it's even more terrifying. The Blood Covenant Society really wants to scare us. This is really where the strength of all kings can be measured. To join them you must not be afraid of anything else.

When I looked at my map I was amazed. The map of my location grew and there was a sign of where I was. I just need to find the door again. I just don't know how because now there are only rooms here and there is no hallway. It is very difficult to find the door, especially if it is a room.

I walked and checked the rooms one by one. I looked at everything a person could find but I couldn't find anything. When I heard a louder scream I stopped there.

I immediately entered a room and hid under the bed or should I call it a stretcher. Two minutes before the delivery man arrived. He was looking for me but I was hidden and he came out without finding me. When I got out of the stretcher, I kicked a small piece of wood. That created a sound so I immediately hid in a bigger cabinet. It was surprising how quickly the courier came in looking for me. His search for me is faster now unlike before in the previous place. I have to hurry to get to the last place.

When I heard the scream of the beast, I immediately hid again. I kicked a scattered bottle so it screamed. Why are there so many random things here? I had so many accidents!

Under the wheeled stretcher I hid again. When I noticed that there was a key on the floor I was standing on, I grinned. Finally!

But I was about to check it when the monster headed my way. I immediately hung under the bed of the stretcher so that the monster could not see. When I felt it leave, I returned to the floor itself.

I immediately checked it and pressed the key again. Now I'm in a place with stone walls. When I looked at the map there were no rooms here and only hallways. Looks like here I have to run fast.

I immediately ran while circling the area. When I noticed the big door with a key in the middle, I immediately stopped. When I stopped, the monster was at my side, only a few meters away. I immediately ran and hid to one side.

When he passed, I immediately returned to the door and checked it. When I pushed open the stone door it was heavy and noisy. The monster fetcher was at the end of this hallway again so I pushed the door all the way.

Because my push was not strong enough, I broke the door. It's okay, I'm in a hurry. I immediately ran into the dark hallway. I only took one step when I fell.

My back hit the hard floor. When I got up there were men looking at me. They were also only wearing underwear like me. These appear to be the kings who passed through the Fifth Gate.

"Greetings to you, King Magnus from the Verdania Kingdom. You have passed the Fifth Gate. You can rest with the other kings on this floor before heading to the Sixth Gate."

A voice announced that to the entire room making most of them look at me. They seem to recognize who Magnus is. There are only a few of us on this floor. Five are sitting on the side while eating and one is in line at the first where there are keepers handing out food.

I got in line and the man next to me greeted me. When I looked up at him, I immediately recognized who this man was.

"King Magnus, I congratulate you on your arrival on this floor. We are almost at the same time. It's a good thing we didn't fall into the hole at the same time," the king from the Everdawn Kingdom, Shantal Zoe Serris, greeted me.

"Thank you," I said softly.

I don't know if I should talk to him or what. He looks calm based on his heartbeat and is not challenging me to a fight. I don't care, I just remember what my father said that I should look for a friend or make friends.

I also lined up next to him to get something to eat. A plate with many compartments was given to me. The guards put food on my plate. It's different and looks delicious. The food they used to serve on the last floor was more presentable.

I sat on one side and ate. There are even kings who fell into the hole that each one cried out. When we were done here and everyone could eat, the voice announced again.

"Greetings to the remaining 48 kings! The Sixth Gate will begin on the sixth floor in just a few minutes. Everyone is being notified to get ready."

"Wait, I haven't eaten yet!" shouted a king who had just fallen from the hole.

There were only a few of us and more than half fell immediately. We are just about to step into the Sixth Gate and the real hard work is just beginning. I can get through it all, I can handle it. For all my dreams I will not give up. I will walk out of this place without anyone looking down on me. Everyone will look up to me and I will take the title that is rightfully mine. I am Magnus Lewis Walker, the current king of the Verdania Kingdom and the next emperor of the Primrose Imperia.

Magnus

"Everyone is ordered to line up! Everyone will enter this door one by one!" shouted a guard.

I stood up and got in line. We will enter a metal room. I haven't even digested what I ate. I hope it's not the road to Sixth Gate first. They would have given us even more time to take a shower.

The line moved little by little every time a king entered the door. When I entered it was a long gray hallway. I entered and immediately the door closed.

The arrangement of the room immediately changed and the bath on the side came out. It's a metal bathtub. I don't hesitate to go down here. The water was so cold, it was steaming because of the ice on it. I didn't worry about it anymore because the important thing is that I can take a shower now. Ice cold feels so good. Just now I took a bath with such cold water.

After soaking and scrubbing my body, I rinsed. I took off my underwear and immediately looked at the clothes on the side shelf. The color of my uniform is different. If what I was wearing before was light gray, now it's dark gray.

After I got dressed, I had a moment of reflection. Even though I'm tired from the missions I'm still a good boy. I became even more handsome, I was really different. I will further my participation in each floor so that they will see that I am the one who is worthy to succeed my father as the emperor of the Primrose Imperia.

I went out the door after taking care of myself. I felt my plump and beautiful belly to see if it was still okay. Still beautiful and the molding is almost perfect.

When the door closed behind me I had two roads to walk. One on the left and one on the right. These two are like tunnels. I chose the right because according to what I heard from Thomas, "always choose right."

I walked until I reached the end, there was a door so I immediately entered it. There are two kings dressed like me here, the guard is also in the middle of them. There was a table in front of us.

"Greetings to you, three kings from different kingdoms. Now you have to find out which dishes are poisonous to nothing, which plants are poisonous and which are not, and even fruits which are deadly when touched. There is no time for how long you will be done, and there is no limited number that can pass this floor. All you need to do is eat what you think is not poisoned. Those who don't will be punished." explained the keeper. "Whoever hisses and foams at the mouth will be fired and will receive a brutal punishment. You can still pass even if you eat poison but you must not hiss and die."

It seems that the word die is easy to say. After all, witches can revive us as long as our corpses are not cold. The witches here are powerful. Most still have positions in the Blood Covenant Society.
